Are the Devs really reading the Forum

I would say no and if they do they just decide to ignore it.

We have countless posts about the deaths linger nerv about tunneling and camping about the overall balance and now that we have a good portion of new players every day you see atleast one post about how unfair the game is especially for killers.

If a new player comes to the game and after two weeks see that killers just get stompt and survs just get camped and tunneled as a result of it why would the keep playing?

Sure you don't need to Adress every cry post but if you see something over and over and over again it is something that bugs your community and you should address it asap.

Bigger changes like reworks for killers and maps need longer I know but why don't we have balance patches atleast every two weeks?

There are so many dead perks in the game and you Devs can simply see this. You will always have perks that are somewhat stronger and get more picks but the meta is hard as a rock and the only change we ever git was coh and thats just cause it's unbalanced af.

Either delete all the perks no one ever uses or balance them and the meta perks to have roughly the same strength.

And work on the camping and tunneling problem. Sure many killer mains say it's a symptom of the unbalance and they are right but even if the killers where the power role you would have enough that would facecamp and hard tunnel so find a way to. Prevent it without screwing every one I was surprised when I learnt you trashed your last plans cause survs abused it atm I wouldn't be surprised if something like that would just put into the game and killer had just to deal with it. The winter event is the best evidence for that.

direct opinion on why whatever the subject is needs to be focused on without rants about the devs, survivor/killer players or whatever else. i think you see a lot more posts along the lines of "[Thing] is bad and so are the people who use it!" rather than "[Thing] is unbalanced/weak/etc. and I think it needs to be changed". discussion here is usually more inflammatory than productive, although i'm not exactly helping that a lot of the time

Plenty of posts structured like that. The problem is the person behind it has 20 hours and thinks Artist needs to be 110% with a 3 second cooldown before they can use their attack because "i can't loop the artist and here is why"

regardless of your feeling about that, it is game dev work I'm afraid.

I love that people constantly use general "dev" to complain about things at BHVR that aren't the designer/programmer jobs like pr announcements but moment you, someone at BHVR, use "dev" in that way it's "no, you're wrong what dev means, it's only designers/programmers." 😂

BTW thanks for being the one to spend time checking 100+ page performance issue thread and passing on the videos/comments to the right dev groups at BHVR so they can focus on fixing instead of wasting time on the forums.

you're welcome, it's something I see as an important issue.

No they aren't, a community manager doesn't work on the game.

i mean. You are very much entitled to have a wrong opinion. Go on.

But I think the community manager that just now assured us they are working on the game and are part of the game dev team might have better knowledge about this.

As you're entitled to have your wrong opinion. That didn't assure that they themselves were working on the game.

    Oh. Okay?

Sorry but no, Game Devs are people that work in the gaming industry on a game and help develop the game in anyway. I'm also not a moderator, I in fact barely moderate :)

I am working in software development and you are very wrong. You can very much replace programmers and designers.

have some respect for people and their jobs. Even the software devs/programmers/designers at BHVR will consider Mandy as part of the dev team, because they are directly working with her on the game and can value the work of other people.

you are the only one being disrespectful here.

Bruh, you can't. Companies are literally fighting for a programmers. Disrespectul is saying that dev is the comunity manager with programmer. Literally anyone can be community manager. Plenty of people are able to run social medias, while also creating posts, memes, moderate forums, comments, users etc. But NOT everyone is able to program. A little respect is needed to our programmers for their hard work okay?

    I literally am a programmer.

you better get reasonable and more respectful. You can’t even accept what the definition of a loose term is.

  • Let's drop it here, ok?

This is just discussing semantics, trying to prove this or that narrative.

You are free to believe that Community Managers (and Community Coordinators, since Mandy is not a Community Manager) are not "real" developers and that their job is so easy, but please be respectful and mindful of all the hard work behind any job, keeping in mind that what you see is only a small part of what goes into managing a community.
