Are Canadian lockdown rules a major reasons for the recent chapter catastrophes?

I'm at this point trying to find a different reason for the disasters beyond lazy from no competition. Canada has had strict lockdown rules that likely made Behavior's work a little difficult. Could this have been a reason?

  • Probably yes, UK lockdown's pretty much killed all of my productivity and i imagine many other people feel the same way

  • I would say partially

I also blame their insistence on their schedule and refusing to do a game health chapter

  • No, its been like this for years.

  • Certainly hasn't made it any better I would bet.

  • I doubt it as there's no real reason this stuff can't be done at home

But for funsy, let's say it is. BHVR is still actively choosing to release these latest chapters in such an awful state. While it might not be fair that they might lose some money by holding off a chapter to deal with health of the game, life isn't fair. Covid has kicked everyone in the teeth, BHVR isn't special in this case...

  • Quebec was pretty good compared to other placed but Monreal is almost it's own entity (har har).

The big cities have been hit hard here (Toronto in particular).

I'm sure it hasn't made anything easier, but it's too simple to blame COVID. "Due to the current times..."

As Mr_K said, it's been happening for years.

But, man it's never been this bad before

  • If lock downs are effecting their ability to work efficiently and put out working releases they should've re-evaluated their release schedule a year+ ago. There's been multiple releases during the pandemic, each one with loads of issues. First release or two I'll give them using lock downs as an excuse but refusing to adjust after that is all on them.

  • We have a lot of restriction but honestly most of the compagnie adapt to the rule and we are in that for more than a year now. Look at the Silent hill chapter the chapter was great after that we got the chainsaw bro rework and we only had 1 major bug and that was the rock. The blight chapter was the same exept this time the major bug was the hook not working but after that the game go downhill and it feel like it wont stop. At this point i think its the fact that the dev were already lazy and when the lockdown happen they were too lazy to adapt because they dont need to they have no competition.

  • Of course, the lockdowns have affected a lot of things.

Can't wait for the lingering effects & the wars to come to give the greedy nations of the world that good boost in their economy.

  • floating Myers head with a chainsaw.

  • Warframe does just fine developing during lockdown

  • Such catastrophes were bound to happen either way. Lockdown just made them worse.
