This game could learn from rainbow 6 seige!

From its pre game setup , its pick an ban system, different game modes, if the devs of Dbd studied an put in the same kinda work seige got done in its first 3 years this game would have alot less issues balance wise.

  • DBD just needs an actual competitor so that they ah reason to push out updates

how the hell would a ban system work in dbd?

  • It could, just not how you think.

Game Health patch, that's what it needs to adapt.

People play DBD because they don’t WANT to play something like R6

  • Uhh you rework the pre game lobby so survivors can ban one killer and the killer can ban 1 perk after the ban phase the players are givin a short time to replace any ban perks, a backup killer is allowed to be chosen an loadout customized, newreleases are exempt. This wouldn't always have an effect on the game but could change up some redundancies like faceing the same killer 5 times in a row or a killer getting frustrated with a perk. Vise versa it would open a whole new range of tactics. Like a "no heal" build where the killer bans self care and survivors are forced to overcome it.

The other idea i had was to pick a survivor and killer to ban they don't actually get ban but there perks do!

  • No it could not learn from rainbow six siege as good lord that game is overrated solely because that game is balanced for competitive players and not for those wanting to have fun

dbd should have a operation health, but nothing else

No. Far too significant a difference between Killer playstyles. Not to mention the stark differences in gameplay between sides. Or the stark difference in how each game is played. Siege is an FPS with fast TTK times necessitating early-game setup to keep the match interesting given the perma-death in-round. DBD is a platformer with setup being performed mid-match given the elongated engagements.

Survivors are just going to ban Killers they don't like/are meta, and Killer's banning Survivors is basically doing nothing apart from potentially screwing over new Players or Survivor Mains (Same for Killer if this is done in-lobby rather than pre-lobby). And if it's just banning meta Perks... Well, that just becomes banning meta perks.

How come everyone's so focused on the pick an ban. Yes the games are verry different. Im not talking about actual in game play here im saying seige has setup phases and gameplay options would make a good template for this game to follow. But I would support porting tachanka into the entity's realm and making him a killer

  • A pick/ban system is a not good idea. Draft systems work well when both sides have access to the same things so that if you ban x it means that you also can't use x.

  • lol please no there's a reason why I quit that game

  • As a former Siege player, I have to disagree. This is a casual game, not a competitive one, and adding things from Siege (which is a super fun game that I really miss but ######### that toxicity) isn't the way to go.

Edit: Plus Siege forced players to take turns attacking and defending, making bans and crap a lot fairer, if still massively annoying.

  • My friend keeps getting banned from R6 because she's solo and able to shoot. Too many reports. Months later she gets unban with an apology.

Think BHVR can learn about how not to implement a report system.
