Wake up BHVR (constructive feedback)

Dear Behavior:

You have been ignoring player feedback for years and have favored one side(Survivors) for most of the time now. You made the game more frustrating and made the two sides far apart.

By doing this, you created a toxic environment and made people even more angry with your bad decisions. All of this frustration, on the forums, on Twitter and on Discord. This is your own fault.

You had success with this game, the only one of all your games.

And that went to your head.

You tried to imitate the success of dbd with Deathgarden.

But you failed.

Yes you heard us, but what are you going to do? Fix a few bugs? One or two changes? And when? In a few months? We don't even have real events anymore. The grind is extreme and the quality and performance continue to decline. Still, you have so much monitarization.

Sometimes you take steps in the right direction, only to disappoint us again? If you had real competition you would be f#cked. I'm being completely honest about that.

And now to all defenders of BHVR...

You pretend Behavior is still a small indie studio. But they are not. All of this frustration is Behaviors own fault. It's a video game yes. We spent money on it. We are the customers for a product. And that's in bad shape right now. So if you have nothing else to say, leave it.

Equip yourself the perk 'wake up'.

So wake up Behavior.

That was constructive criticism. I'll post this a little more often now so that someone can see it. Thank you for reading.

    Mods commeth.

  • I think even their hardcore defenders are starting to realize their decision has done nothing to benefit the game. What i find even more comical is those that put #Intothefog in their tweets etc very comical.

  • The mods are goin to bring the hand of god on you for talking bad

good feedback, but I wouldn't say that one side is favored, it's just behavior nor knowing how to properly balance their game

  • When you say there is no real events anymore, I can't do anything but agree. I miss the time when we had different objectives among the game like harvest putrid serum to unlock specific rewards.

That made the game more fun and had avriety. Now.... they just add special hooks/gens and that's all.

At least they have archives challenges and these new red glyphs but it feels a bit sloppy. No real reason of doing that.

Harvesting serum was: finding a plant, taking time on it to interact with, then, according to quantity, you had the choice of more or less expensive content paid with serum.

    now it is just... meh

    "This game is survivor sided"

"Deathgarden died because it was too Killer sided"

I'm sorry you can't have have a Insta-Mori basekit like you want.

I'm not going to place much criticism at the moment given the sudden shift to a digital workplace, but do hope to see an improvement over time.

QA/DevOps does actually benefit from being within earshot of one another. Not that it can't work remotely though. People just need to adjust to it.

..... He never said anything about wanting an inta-mori basekit for Killers though. Please don't put words in people's mouths.

  • Thank god for all the cosmetics, they really bring the quality of the game up! JK I LOVE BHVR PLEASE LET ME SUCK COTE'S COCK PLEASE :DD:D:D:D

I was working off of his example regarding deathgarden, how it failed given the distribution of objectives compared to power (and the stagnation optimal strategies seemingly would utilize as a result of the Hunters control over the match) coupled with his distaste for seemingly "Survivor sided" updates.

Imagine if the optimal strategy for Killer was to face-camp each Survivor (or Execute them outright as soon as they down them in Deathgarden's case). Or for Survivors to hide in a bush until the exit gate opens automatically after a set time.

They did not say that, no. But they're working against their own argument by bringing up a shuttered game where Hunter was so strong that the optimal game path was to literally try not to interact with them at all.

They're also ignoring DS getting tweaked, UI getting tweaked, Colorblind settings being announced (early), BHVR's announcement on the focus of Events being the Anniversary and Halloween, perk changes, Killer tweaks, map reworks, constant bug-fixes in the Patch notes, and quite honestly, a largely increased volume of social media communication, and slightly more transparency into their goings on.

This also fails to mention that his "constructive" feedback is mainly denigrating apart from portions of these sentences: "We don't even have real events anymore. The grind is extreme and the quality and performance continue to decline. Still, you have so much monitarization."

Are there things to improve? Always. Has BHVR been sitting on their laurels, doing nothing with their game? Hardly. IMO the majority of these bugs are a result of growing pains integrating a partially (if not fully) digital workforce into their workflow.

Ohhhhh ok, I gotcha now. Sorry about that.

Nobody is getting banned for posting constructive criticism.

If they did, then the majority of the people posting actual feedback would have been banned already.

you're right they get banned for encouraging "raid like behavior" while giving constructive criticism.
