Bhvr, we're not dumb, we know you're doing the sets for money, and that's fine.

Every company wants money, so it's fine you're doing the sets. I don't have a problem with that.

  • Uhm - they've never stated they weren't doing them "for money", but the sets that have come out would have pretty dubious mix & matching with other outfits, the clipping and issues they would have with other outfits would be an issue, and is why they're sets.

For what it's worth, the majority of people I know who buy outfits, buy the whole outfit anyway, the sets probably aren't making them any more money than selling the outfit in pieces.

I mean the sets that could obviously be mixed with others.

Sure, take Janes dress and mix it with other clothing, then they get thousands of bug reports of the dresses clipping into other outfits which they then have to fix, or make the dress ugly af just so it matches with other outfits,

Or take the Nea set, and have all her other hairs clip inside the hood so everyone complains about the clipping issue etc etc.

I said the ones that could obviously be mixed. Onis sword on the minutour outfit, clowns getup in the Hades outfit, pyramid heads last two sets,

What point are you trying to make here? Of course they're doing it for money they know it, we know it, they know we know it. Its not like they were trying to hide it.

Just pointing out that I don't have a problem. Just putting my thoughts out there.

"onis" is a legendary, and changes the character, while I agree the sword could and should be able to be swapped out, the rest of the outfit changes his skin colour entirely and would look weird af, the hades outfit, have you actually looked at it? The chin and head are connected and mixing and matching those would cause clipping issues with every other outfit he owns, it's a completely different body shape, and the pyramid head is a special case due to being a licensed character and have had to keep to whatever Konami wants them to keep to.

Except many of them clearly have pieces that don't need to be linked, like Jane's new outfit. They could do sets of two but don't.

Honestly, they probably aren't making as much off of these sets because most people simply won't buy something they can't mix and match with the cosmetic pieces they already own. Most people want to be unique and show off their own style and creativity. They don't want to have a cookie-cutter outfit.

I'm sure there are plenty of people like myself who liked one or two pieces of an outfit, but didn't buy it because it was a set.

Bhvr ######### loves numbers, so when their numbers eventually show that people aren't buying these sets as much as the other cosmetics, they'll stop making them.

I'm sure they could make slighty different models to make clowns body and head usable on other models.

The whole "money" angle doesn't really work for me, obviously they sell outfits (like they have for 2 years) to make money, Fengs & Davids, who I see way more often than Jane wasn't a set, it was simply a set because it was a dress, same goes for Clown, his neck is literally connected to his chest via the chin, would look awful mixing and matching that.

  • The one big objection I've seen is the Oni Minotaur skin, which is apparently $15 (i.e. 3/4 of the cost of the base game on PC) and they don't even change his Billy Club into something else. The next big one is that, if the sets are linked and can't be mix-and-matched, should they be lower cost in general, rather than the usual $10-ish for a full outfit that can be mixed or matched. Not sure on that one myself,

  • Everything would just be fine, if they would taken apart most of the survivor heads (the only exception would be Neas outfit) and the killer weapons from the sets.

And let's be honest, there is almost no reason, why all Silent Hill cosmetics are sets....

Go yell at Konami for all of those sets, Behaviour was only really guilty of not clearly stating on the descriptions of the cosmetics what Linked Sets were when the first released. (Because having to check the Patch Notes of all things or just somehow knowing what two interconnected diamonds meant totally justifies it I guess)

And besides the Konami ones every original Linked Set feels like it doesn't need to be fully linked in some way. (Nea's Head could be thrown on other torsos but be required when throwing on the hoodie, Minotaur could likely hold other swords, Jane's head, etc.)

It's not a problem but yeesh is it disappointing when you get something you'd love to mix & match (like Shirtless Clown) but be disappointed because it's Linked and probably won't have a Unlinked version to use.

Oh well I'll just not buy any of them or recommend them to anyone at all.

  • I really hate the legendary tbh. Them locking pieces together, especially the killer weapons that just keeps me from buying any of them. Because the main appeal of cosmetics are mix and matching things together.

It doesn't make any sense to lock them when they have the same animations.anf hotbox. Other than forcing you to spend night for yh whole thing instead of getting what wlyou want... zzz. Im falling asleep as I wrote this I don't remember what was I was talking about
