DS fix?
Using whatever is at hand, you stab at your aggressor in an ultimate attempt to escape.
After being unhooked or unhooking yourself, Decisive Strike will become active and usable for 40/50/60 seconds.
While Decisive Strike is active, when grabbed by the Killer, succeed a Skill Check
to automatically escape the Killer's grasp and stun them for 5 seconds.
- Succeeding or failing the Skill Check and if another survivor is hooked will disable Decisive Strike.
- Successfully stunning the Killer will result in you becoming the Obsession.
- The timer pauses if in the downed state.
Increases your chances of being the Obsession.
The Killer can only be obsessed with one Survivor at a time.
"There's nothing to be scared of." — Laurie Strode
This forces the killer into triggering it unless the killer goes after someone else and hooks them first. And gets around the killer just waiting out the time to avoid ds. So this is both a buff and nerf to ds which against a killer that doesnt tunnel ds becomes useless. (Like it should be considering its a anti tunnel perk). And if the killer is tunneling they get guaranteed punished for it.

if this became real, it would be extremely situational, and not worth even running anymore. i think it’s a bad idea.
Make ds permanent after being unhooked, but have it deactivate if someone else gets hooked. It’s the easiest fix ever.
I want a DS change too, but the argument for that is going to be "Well why should I lose MY perk because they made a mistake"
40 seconds, deactivates when another survivor is hooked and when gates are powered. Now it's good.
And mori fix when?
This. I don’t think it needs any change, but if we are going to, just get rid of the stupid timer. Now every killer knows that if they pick up the last survivor they hooked, there’s a chance they’ll get stunned. Simple.
No, please. You don't know how many times ds has saved me after pretty much being farmed in front of a killer. I think it should only deactivate when you heal or start working on a gen, start healing others or start opening the exit gates.
I think if we're gonna make light of perks and other stuff needing a fix we should enlist all of them not just one. There is A LOT of things on the Killer and Survivors side that need fixing/tuning.
Maybe instead just make DS work differently when hit. Standard time is 30s and also blocks all aura reading. If hit within the 30s you get 60s as it is now. If you unhook within 15s you deactivate your DS.
At least this way hitting someone and downing them wastes more time so actively punishes tunneling and going for the unhooker makes much more sense. It also doesnt punish a player for finding someone by mistake after another hook as 30s is not much time at all and also means using it for a quick easy unhook is pointless.
Deactivating when another survivor gets hooked favors campers, I don't understand why this change keeps getting suggested.
Camp, force the unsafe unhook, slug the unhooker, slug the unhooked, hook the unhooker, hook the unhooked, there go your 60s DS.
I'd leave DS alone.
If someone goes down you aren’t tunneled. DS is supposed to be an anti tunnel perk, but it isn’t used as one. That’s why killers hate it so much. You can hook another survivor and down the original survivor and still get ds’d because you “tunneled.”
Let's have it also deactivate if the hatch is open, if all dull and hex totems have been cleansed, if there is a Jake in the trial, if the map has corn or tall grass, if somebody is carrying the perk Up the Ante, if there is more than one flashlight or toolbox in the trial but less than 4, if any of the chests have been opened and if there's a killer on the map.
You forgot if there's a blendette in the match, that one's important.
I knew I was forgetting something!
The argument for that, which has been backed by devs too "Is that it is not solely an anti-tunnel perk, it is meant to be used creatively and defensively beyond just that"
Again not something I entirely agree with, but that is the official word on that aspect.
