Discussions about the Entity's realm
-
The Entity exclusively uses dark magic and no Survivor in the game has been shown to have any supernatural powers while in the Entity's realm (except Cheryl, but she's just channeling the Entity). My theory is that the Entity is well aware of light magic and has intentionally kept any source of it out of its realm. Part of the reason the Entity is so powerful is because it cuts off everyone fro35 comments 881 views last activity

I don't quite understand Pinhead's story, does he really know that he is trapped in the entity realm? Even though the cube is there, does he have enough power to leave the entity's realm or go back to hell? Does he know that he is serving the entity instead of Leviathan? or does the entity have a hard time controlling Pinhead? I think Pinhead could be the most powerful killer and the second m11 comments 711 views last activity

I’ve heard people calling him a BDSM demon. And I’m getting mixed ideas on if that’s a serious description of pinhead himself or if it’s just a joke. Obviously, he’s sadistic but some of his addons imply he’s also a masochist and on top of that the one green addon I can’t remember the name of says the cenobites made the guy experience both pleasure and pain. So is pinhead straight up doing BDSM s5 comments 241 views last activity

As naive as it may sounds, I was genuinely hoping this latest Witch Survivor was the human version of the Hag, or at least connected to her in someway. I was hoping for this because I thought perhaps the Hag's lore would be revised. I love DBD's lore. Especially, the original survivors and killers stuff. But Lisa's story feels so underdeveloped and confusing when compared to better fleshed out2 comments 142 views last activity

I read Blight lore "The Hunger" and "Doors Unknown" and memory 1751 is not there since "The Hunger" ends in memory 1750 and "Doors Unknown" start from memory 1752. Is memory 1751 completely skipped or the video at the end of "The Hunger" is truly the memory 1751? It really bothers me anyway...3 comments 91 views last activity

I didn't see any mention of her dying in her lore but the way she appears and her behavior she seems more like a spirit than a living killer.5 comments 202 views last activity

It's been a while since I could do this ( Resident Evil had no lore on PTB and Hellraiser wasn't enough to be worth doing), but here's the lore for Mikaela Reid. Mikaela Reid was sixteen when her father passed away. She would always miss his sailing lessons at dawn, his colorful yet inedible tacos, and his warm, contagious laughter. She felt like she was paddling in a vast storm-black ocean,3 comments 151 views last activity

Steve marks another tally on a wall already full of tallies. Eight-hundred and eight. That's how many days he and his (ex) girlfriend Nancy had been trapped in the nightmare. He writes out the number and chuckles at it seemingly spelling out BOB. He shakes his head, remembering what they had to endure for each one. He tries to calculate how many more tallies it would take to reach eighty-thousand2 comments 151 views last activity

Why are there crows in DBD. Like I know why crows are in the game mechanically wise, I understand that. I'm just confused for lore reasons, why are there crows in the entity's realm? Idk its 4AM and I had too much to drink but this has been bothering me for a week now xD Does the entity just grab a bunch of crows after it snatches people? o.o8 comments 371 views last activity

With the cancellation of the chapter, are we to assume that Nancy and Steve are the first to ever escape the Entity’s realm? Or have they had their Hope drained to the point that the Entity no longer has any use for them? Or is it just business as usual since people will still be able to use the characters, albeit no new players joining in to keep the usage high? I admit I’m not super inves10 comments 351 views last activity

We all know and Love DBD but we also hate other players nothing new. But what we all want is to know even more about the Lore the Story and The background of everyone. We need a Singleplayer option with the bots they implemented for Tutorials. A storymode even coop playable. Even more Gamemodes are needed cuz its everytime the same hunt and hook survivors or rush gens and escape through the gates0 comments 71 views last activity

With all the lore in the game, why hasnt Behavior created horror movies that go into detail about the lore and origins of the killers in the game, and a web series that follows the survivors and their trials and also gives insight into their lore and origins? It just seems extremely long over due, and I am sure the community and beyond would love to see it happen.3 comments 71 views last activity

so i was doing dbd talk with my friend, and he mentioned that pyramid head is possibly powerful enough to actually kill the entity. and i wasnt sure but i also didnt know if it was true since he knows alot about silent hill, where as i only know the characters (kind of). so i want to ask is it possible for pyramid head to kill the entity?10 comments 951 views last activity

What if this has another meaning. When we see this we think about survivors and maybe killer dying in entity's realm but not escaping from this. BUT what if it's not the case, what if death of the entity is not an escape for people trapped in his realm? I was thinking about this some time. That means that there's no happy ending. What do you think about this speculation?4 comments 232 views last activity

I was thinking about it and when you mori a survivor as pinhead, you dont kill them. Instead you send them through a portal which presumably leads to the labyrinth (hell). If this is the case, then wouldnt pinhead be saving the survivors and giving them their escape? Yeah they're going to be tortured and killed or turned into a cenobite but they'll be out of the entity's clutches right? I only6 comments 261 views last activity

I know it's: A: good game design he can't. and B: lorewise, the entity wouldn't approve. just, looking at his mori, if he can jab someone with an autoinjector needle filled with substances immediately lethal to humans, that's pretty valuable as a killer.2 comments 141 views last activity

There are some spoilers here so you if you haven't finished the rift yet for Jake but here we go. So are we getting Jakes grandfather as a new survivor? It sounds like it was implied that his grandad was taken by the entity when he was saving villages, it would tie in real nice with the leak that we were getting a new survivor. Also I thought the lore for Jake was handled very nic2 comments 111 views last activity

After seeing Pinhead confirmed my mind instantly wandered to comparing Pyramid Head and Pinhead. Two entities that seemingly exist and follow their own volition despite being in the entities realm. Pyramid Head existence is still a bit of a mystery since he technically has no reason to exist being he was a projection of someone else's guilt. He can tear apart the entities realm with his abiliti6 comments 331 views last activity

I understand the devs change the lore around to fit the game, but if you think about how his powers translate from the game to his dbd it gets confusing. I am gonna put this thought under #halfawakethoughts but I think I figured out who the "Entity" actually is in theory. And the answer is simple. We, the player, are the entity. When we are playing as a survivor we are playing in third person. Now lets see this from another perspective. We aren't actually "Playing" the survivor but watching them survive against the killer. As the killer we a6 comments 151 views last activity

As we all know by now the entity manifests itself in a variety of ways throughout the trial, be it to the aid of the killer or exceptionally rarely the aid of the survivor. More prominently we are aware that the entiriety of any trial we partake in is "made" of the entity in a way. The ground we walk on is essentially its "body" or at least an extension of it formed into a feeding ground for kill10 comments 141 views last activity

So now that we've had time to digest that horrific new Nurse lore from a few months back, do any of you folks on the forum (Or possibly devs lol) see that cutscene being changed at all to better reflect who the Nurse was in the original lore blurb? I have no idea if he even cares about them because his lore hasn't been expanded upon yet, but I feel like its 50/50. There's a good chance he's insane & believes he was killing false samurais for the good if his family & would thus miss them or he didn't miss them at all because killing people was all that was important to him.3 comments 121 views last activity

Hello, I'm planning to make life size busts of all the legion members but I'm just wondering what Julie's main outfit/ mask is lore wise? I don't think it's the standard Julie cosmetic because its just a gender swapped Frank and that would be kinda weird if they would wear the same clothing. I honestly think the bush party cosmetics fit the best because we see that outfit in the cutscenes from2 comments 891 views last activity

Overview: While being one of multiple survivors to have been focused more in the Archives, Meg Thomas is still one of the most mysterious survivors for a couple specific reasons. She may seem like a fairly simple character on the surface, being commonly depicted as someone who competes in competitive sports to obtain a reputation. However, a closer look at her background suggests differently.1 comments 1,144 views last activity

I had a realisation today and discovered that 1 the demogorgon you play in the game is likely a random pick from the mind layers horde, and most importantly this demogorgon has been slowly changing to suit its new surroundings which is shown by the cosmetics it has received. If the demogorgon changes because it's under a new influence then what does that tells us about the entity, the demogorgon,2 comments 61 views last activity

I've been reading his tome for quite some time now (both leak & official, they are the same anyway) and it kind of annoys me that his character is kind of a retcon to his original storyline. - His "brother" was accepted to Yale while Jake was still in school, yet he's the older sibling? - He was told to be surviving in the wild for a long time in his biography and yet he decides to rec8 comments 282 views last activity

Truthfully, I always wondered what happened to him after his story, he was a journalist, something similar investigating the disappearances of the town of Weeks, Washington, home of Macmillan State, 300 cases of missing persons and later being him, one of them. There really were older survivors who were victims of the entity just as there were old killers, I estimate, Oni and Nurse were the olde4 comments 711 views last activity

He's from the 30's & his father was a terrible parent. Guessing from the teaser his tome will take place during his childhood, but I wouldn't count that out just because he's young. Lastly, he collects fingers as a hobby which is a huge red flag for a terrible personality. Clown just looks like the kind of person who would profile people if you really think about it.28 comments 361 views last activity

I'm not sure how many of you are aware of the significance of the chapter name. But for those of you who are unaware, it is a play on a quote from The Blight himself, which reads as follows. "To understand the human condition, one must rise above it." Talbot wished to rise above the human condition. Instead, with the entity's intervention, he could only descend beyond what could conceivabl2 comments 111 views last activity
