  • W T F is a locker CJ Tech and how many times did you fall for it to want it removed? LOL

  • I feel like my Macmillans tend to be on the lighter side. The maps I really notice the density changes on are Crotus Pren and Shattered Square. I feel like every single possible pallet is spawning in those maps right now. Pale Rose is pretty bad rn too.

Show me one person that runs vigil without exhaustion perks

I mean yeah, they normally do run it with exhaustion perks. Why does that matter? It works against exposed all the same.

  • I understand the intent behind DR, and while I can't say I'm hopeful based on BVHR's track record, I could see it being a boon in the long run if they do go back and update these more niche perks. I just feel like there were more than a few perks that were only run in these synergistic builds that could have received changes accompanying the update. Ex. Dark Arrogance was really only run in vault builds

  • I feel like if anything, exposed is currently underpowered. The mere existence of Vigil can significantly weaken exposed effects for an entire team without counterplay.

  • An idea I've always had is to kinda just make her like Oni. Make her 115% base and have to charge her power up in someway. I think it would be pretty thematic to pick screams. Screams already happen throughout normal gameplay, on hit and hook. It could also expand her build variety a bit by encouraging certain perks. You could also scale it with distance, the closer the better. Once you've hit your full bar, push control just like oni. She gets a new animation of her rising up, her mind breaking as she lets out a mapwide scream. Then boom normal nurse for x seconds. Maybe tweak a few of the specifics to further her from oni. Like maybe her power pauses on pick instead of resetting or she can cancel it and go back to normal or additional screams extend the duration. Rework her addons, bringing back some old strong toys now that she has a limited duration as well as a few ways to gain power charge.

  • He is bugged just like most of the game right now, just not in that way. He seems to be able to recall axe instantly after hitting someone.

  • I really thought she was wearing a cymbal on her head in that second pic

  • Not going to comment on tunneling because it's been done to death, but I agree that healing speeds are kinda wack rn. Why are the numbers on my antiheal options all so small in comparison to healing perks? You don't even need to look further than Leverage at 20% slow for 60 seconds vs. We'll Make It's 100% boost for 90s. Even stacking slowdown with like mangled + leverage is still completely outclassed by we'll make it and just about outclassed by Botany or Orela perk.

  • I'm a bit disappointed by this skin. I feel it reveals too much of what the unknown is. Instead of having gaping holes where its poking out, we could've easily had smaller holes with things poking out. Think an eyeball, a finger, a bone, a tentacle tip, etc., poking out of varying holes in his skin. Maybe he could have the impression of strange anatomy pushing up from under his skin. Just coming out and saying "Yeah, he's tentacles" is kinda lame imo.

  • I feel like the real explanation is really simple. We know they're still planning on implementing the anti-slug and anti-tunnel changes in some form. Off the Record and Tenacity changes were pushed onto live because they probably just didn't want to put in the work to change them back. Off the Record was reverted because many people used it and were outraged by the change, but it was always "Revert OtR" with maybe a Tenacity mention in the comments. It's not popular enough for them to put in the effort to revert it and then change it back when anti-slug changes return.

  • My favorite freddy bug is how he's supposed to play with his finger knives while carrying someone but its only played the sound for like years at this point.

  • If we're saying that Chucky is a stealth killer, he's the best on your list. Slice and Dice is crazy strong antiloop, his height can allow him to mindgame tiles other killers can't, he can loop tighter than other killers, making his 110% speed less of a drawback. The semi-recent buffs to cooldown and scamper make him all the better. He's also the least affected by the recent pallet density changes. Everyone else has to deal with the pallets but chucky can generally get a hit at the loop if you stay and between loops if you leave.

  • I think this question applies to wayy more perks than the ones you're talking about. Franklins was given a wholly unjustified nerf a while back for an item they proceeded to nerf into the ground. The recent monitor change also comes to mind. For survivors, Not a single person on the entire planet asked for the Calm Spirit nerf. Yet here we are. Parental guidance lost a third of its duration from the PTB. Same with last Stand getting a 30-second increase to charge time. Etc. Etc. Etc. The list goes on.

  • If you look back in the forums, this has been an issue for over a year now. It worked on launch, and then at some point, it was changed. It still works on wall breaks with powers, so a part of the original functionality is still present. One of the first bug reports on this was written off as not a bug, but since then, there have been multiple bug reports, including multiple of mine, that were "forwarded to the team." As you can see, nothing has been fixed despite all that.

  • he randomly looks up after his mori.

  • It is a bug. It just seems to be one the devs don't want to fix. At launch, the perk worked for killer powers at the very least, can't say I ever tried perks or addons. It currently still works like that on breakable walls. At some point, they broke it with pallets and only pallets. Since the post where they said it wasn't a bug, they've responded to other bug reports on this forum and reddit by putting it under review.

  • The perk also worked like this on launch and afaik was not changed to be in its current state by a listed bug fix

  • Not a bug.

The perk is very clear that it only works from injured to dying. Mettle of Man is not endurance. If you had the endurance effect, it would work like that.

  • I completely agree. Why does he need 5 seconds to wander around for his free hit? I wonder if it is a leftover relic from when the ghoul had to aim.

  • They don't seem to really care to fix issues like this. Freddy has been bugged forever to not play his animation of playing with his claws while moving around or carrying someone. The noise plays but thats it. Reported it once or twice but to no avail.

  • Its a good start, but I hope y'all didn't forget about the enraged pallet vault. Still very little you can do against that at the majority of loops

  • attached yesterday's logs to both posts. couldn't do my main logs, wayyyyyy too big xd

  • Saw someone mention he can hit through walls. He can also hit you even if he can't reach you. Got deep wounded from up near the gen on mothers dwelling main from the ground floor.

  • Gonna link this here:

It's been 8 MONTHS. As far as I can tell, if they fixed anything, it now works on breakable walls but still not on pallets. Fix the perk please BVHR.

It's been eight months since I made a bug report about Game Afoot. I don't want to make another one because there's like three bug reports about game afoot anyway. I want to post about it here instead to draw more attention (and hopefully fix) this issue.

Special pallet breaks including killer powers, perks, and I assume event pallet breaks if they are ever coming back do not trigger the haste status effect one should gain when breaking a pallet in this manner. This wouldn't be as egregious if both the perk itself AND the wiki both state that you should get haste no matter how you break the pallet, even after eight months of this perk not working as intended. Either fix the issue or change the description.

Dracula might have 3 powers but they're all relatively intuitive to play against. It takes a couple of matches most of playing against Dracula to figure out what each of his forms do:

    • Hellfire is a medium range attack that functions similarly to other killers (Nemesis, Pyramid Head, and Xeno). It's well telegraphed, the range is clearly visisble, and the SFX and animations make it clear what you got hit by.
    • Wolf form is a dash attack that functons similarly to other killers (Wesker, Blight, Demogorgon, Houndmaster). Again, it's telegraphed, and clear what you got hit by.
    • Bat form is the only power he has where it isn't super obvious what is going on and requires knowledge of how the killer operates to counter. But I'd say it's evened out by the fact he's pretty noisy as a bat, has a lullaby, and his teleport is well telegraphed.

Odds are if a survivor doesn't know Dracula, they've at least played against one of the other functionally similar killers and can quickly clock on to his similarity and engage in the counterplay. But Skull Merchant is a complete oddity in the roster. There is no killer like her so the counterplay is novel, and none of her kit was intuitive or well telegraphed.

Loading in as a new player against is her like:

    • "Okay there are Drones that give me a little triangle on my HUD when I get scanned, but other than that I have no idea what they do." —> "Oh never mind I'm injured, broken, and hindered. —> "I best try to hide" —> *gets found straight away because the game doesn't make it clear she can see your location on a radar*
    • Later in the game… *gets grabbed off a generator with no warning* because unlike the other stealth killers she has no tell that she's Undetectable (Myers' breathing, Onryo's lullaby, Wraith's grunting and partial invisibility, etc.)
    • And to make matters more confusing, *constant second guessing distances in chase and confused about why she's catching up so quick* because a teammate is getting scanned across the map but the game doesn't clearly indicate what's going on so you're just left wondering "What am I doing wrong?"

Of course I'm exaggerating somewhat but the jist of it is that she was just overwhelmingly confusing for DbD's (primarily) casual and inexperienced audience. And it didn't help that her players garnered themselves a bad reputation by playing in some of the most disliked ways.

Her individual power(s) might not have been all that great, the problem was they weren't intuitive to play against.

Remember that sick looking eye visual that showed up when she was tracking you on her first PTB? They could really bring that back to fix at least one of the confusing issues.

  • I don't see the problem. On larger maps, with more pallets, Legion isn't a problem. Spread out like normal. If they're frenzying you, simply force the stun by taking the hit while standing in a pallet to protect your team. There are more than enough pallets. If you're the medic class, you can tell when the legion injures your teammates and try to run into position for a body block on the frenzy. You could also look for a flashlight in order to blind the legion at a predropped pallet or when vaulting.

Bad take Wolf form is a straight up joke, Hellfire is slower and more clunkier then punishment of the damned and bat form is just a mobility tool

Bat form is just a mobility tool? 🤣

  • Just noticed this too. Getting back into singularity. Thought there was a reason that was in the build! What info do you need? It happens everytime you teleport into a pallet and break it

  • I disagree. I feel like, after this patch, we either go back to complaining about NOED (Tried and True) or we start complaining about Crowd Control because now it has numbers that actually matter. (New=Scary) I will now continue to complain about how overpowered Monstrous Shrine is.

  • Is it just me or does she also have a unique pallet break animation? I swear cracks only appear in the pallet when you kick it as pig.

  • @mikewelk said:

Keys. Ever since the nerf where you have to go through a whole animation to open hatch I have never seen anyone willingly run them in their build.

Chests can win you games though? You get a flashlight and you can surprise killers with it. You get a medkit and you can self heal. You get a toolbox and you can sabotage hooks. You get a key and you leave it in the chest.

What about maps? You didn't even mention them they're so outdated. They serve no purpose besides finding totems and finding gens on indoor maps. At least a key could clutch a single escape in the EGC. Plus the Aura addons aren't half bad.

  • I feel like Circle of Healing was finally nerfed enough so it wasn't overpowered. It wasn't run because it was fun to use, it was run because it was significantly overtuned. Now that it is more in line with other perks, people run other options instead.

  • I feel like the doctor relies significantly more on timing than any of those killers. People who have played doctor for a long time would be forced to adjust to releasing the shock button instead of just holding it down. Also, why would you ever want to hold it down? It wouldn't benefit you in chase, and with how much blast lowers your movement speed, there is no reason to hold it
