Wut? You're just now figuring this out?
Absolutely. I grew up in this game as a surv main, and switched to killer when my group got tired. I was taught to try hard all the time, and killer has the stress that comp does. I guess it felt natural (^:

First of all, Clown doesn't have any kind of movement ability. Second of all, he's only good at ending chases and loops rapidly.
Blight was released this Tuesday, and it's only 3 days. Give people more time to adjust to him and he'll become one of the strongest killers in the game. He has a very high skill cap.
How is blight WORSE than Billy at indoor maps? Billy needs:
- If he wants to get a snipe or travel trough the map he needs a clear path and there's only so much you can do with steering. Blight needs to bounce from object to object.
- If Billy wants to chainsaw at an indoor map, he needs to be really good, has a very good knowledge of his curve mechanic, luck and to mindgame. Running into a wall due to the curving being so delicate will mean the survivor has more than enough time to escape, not mentioning doing it repeatedly will overheat the chainsaw and will transform you into an m1 killer. If you can't do any of these things, and all you can do is chainsaw from up close, even then you might miss and ruin everything.
If you watched Tru3's stream yesterday or the other day, you might've noticed how he was able to shut down a few of the strongest loops in the entire game for Survivors. Loops I thought you could not mindgame as killer and have to force a pallet drop, unless you can throw over if possible.
HOW IS BLIGHT WORSE than Billy at outdoor maps, where is he good then? If Billy can pull a full 360* with his chainsaw rush from object to object do let me know. Or if you can lunge during a chainsaw rush and reach further than a normal killer could do.
I've watched tru3's channel for quite some time, youtube and twitch alike. You can pick a couple of fringe moments, but it doesnt mean the new killer is any good. You bring up the concept that billy has to curve , have knowledge of his curve mechanic, and give him the disadvantage of an indoor map when MOST are open field? You havent even brung up once that billy nerf may be because of blight being added, which was my whole Point. (Also your 3 day comparison? Absolutely garbage when realizing ptb has been out for how long?Tru3 is a content creator, someone who will put up any opinion if it means pleasing the masses for a pay check. And ######### are you talking about? Obv billy cant chain walls but it doesnt mean he's bad lol?? That would mean all killers are bad because they cant chain walls. Thats blights whole schtick and its still clunky af. "Ooo yeah lets have the killer actively miss and telegraph his movements to show the survivor what we're doing next, AND give him slower movement speed during his ability. Def not taken out of billy homebook #1"

The Blight is just a worse version of Hillbilly. Why would you play a killer that can't one-shot, when you could play one that can one-shot at any time and cross the map in much less time?
Again, dont know if this was understood, but i'm saying noone asked for a billy nerf. A billy nerf was added. The blight comes out 2 months later. Noone makes the conecction to the 2.

I don't know where to begin.
Way to go by insulting killers or billy mains by saying this below. Maybe if something would be done to Huntress you'll start crying and we laughing ? But that's beside the point

Blight is being made fun of? The only thing Blight and Billy share in common is MOVEMENT and movement addons, nothing else. Billy has the ability to one-shot at close ranged and even get snipes. Blight doesn't (outside of the red addon). The way he is now, Blight is currently one of the strongest killers if played right, his skill cap is very high. Unlike Billy, he has one of the best addons IN THE GAME. And unlike Billy, Blight can use his power at loops that billy can't. Another thing that makes Blight strong is his unpredictability, clearly something Billy doesn't have.
Another thing they might share in common is that they both suffer on tight and closed maps such as Hawkins / Lery's. But even then, Blight has the upper hand because his power is somewhat usable in indoors maps like The game and Hawkins. It's probably way harder on Lery's.
Damn. Blight is at a loop? I wonder if he's going to ping pong to my general direction??? Hmm maybe if i just throw pallet like i do with clown and fast vault it he wont get me?? Blight is ridiculously easy to counter at major loops and indoor maps, and outdoor maps he's worse than billy. My comment above wasnt poking fun at billy mains (which you obv take camp in) but to show the disparaging difficulty between the two and who has the upper hand.

Stop being negative...in a thread...where the title is literally a negative...
You must mean "stop disagreeing with me". In which case, no.
Maybe you should stop being negative. You made the negative thread, Captain Negativity.
Bro why tf are you in every thread defending the devs. They arent going to give you whisperer. Give it up.

Although not really an answer to your question, it's really silly that they made it to where you cant directly click on someones name anymore. If you cant handle the trash talk, there are options to disallow players from messaging you. Removing it for all players is honestly really stupid considering most people who dont want messages hadthem turned off anyways.

I find it useful on two killers actually. Legion and Michael.
Legion - when you find a survivor, you can frenzy and stab them, then go find the next victim to stab. Chain stabbing is not only effective this way, but alot of the time your speed and lack of half your terror radius means you can stab them before they can react
michael - while chasing someone in tier 2, you can switch targets quickly and get the jump on survivors who dont expect you to be there, they just think its another survivor whos running away. It also starts to get into the survivors' heads because they wont know when you're close in a chase, or farther away. I actually have alot of success with this. The amount of people ive pulled off gens like this is incredible.
-
As a survivor - overthinking the killers strategy and movement. Most times im caught its early in the chase and i over thought the killers plan.
As a killer - being too committed to chases. I play alot of huntress, and if i use all my axes, ill chase even when its unlikely ill catch them for a while.

With this build you start with only 2 perks that might stay as 1 for most of the game if they don't cleanse the totem.
Change overcharge and pop to other stuff.
Pop was used to balance out the late game when corrupt went away and when ruin gets cleansed. Its more of a if all else fails pop can come through with regression
overcharge change makes sense, since overcharges value is dependent on survivors' skill level. Hmm... maybe whispers then, or infectious fright while maintaining a 3 gen to continue the pressure?

I cast my flower into the grave, rip amanda, im sure youll be back one day

I think her general ability to play wont be too hurt by the changes (if they dont revert them)
She's really going to be hurt at the endgame, so late game builds on her will sadly be put up on a shelf to rot. However, i think the meta way to play her will just become "hey yeah i'm slowing this game down to a crawl, here's a trap for your head, me chasing you off boxes, and a load of gen slow down perks to make you sweat".
By all technicalities yeah its a nerf, i just dont see it being a huge nerf like everyone is saying it is. As a piggy player myself, i ask the devs to hear my cry and please let the traps be of use at the end game! If she traps everyone and then activates the endgame with opening the doors, it would play as if its an actual saw trap! I think that does justice to not only the mid tier killer known as the pig, but it stays loyal to the movies aswell!

For starters there is no such thing as gen rushing, it's the only objective they need to complete for the chance to survive. Same as with killer the only objective is to hook survivors to complete tye entitys sacrificial ceremony so to speak. Totems, chests and the like are secondary to their goal, just as kicking gens is secondary as killer. While these things have purpose it doesn't change your primary objective. I know it sucks having gens popping everywhere but it just means you have to be super aggressive and try to outplay them as best you can. I do this by running perks that speed up the things I have to do to catch them and lessen time spent on transporting them to hook. Enduring and brutal strength to kill their loops, agitation to spend less time getting them to a hook. Then straight back to hunting, no pause, just pressuring them to keep moving.
When i said gen rushing, im talking about the community accepted term of it. Most people see gen rushing as the survivors just doing gens and not doing anything else. The question in laymans terms was asking "im climbing in ranks and i want to slow gens down because high rank survivors do them quickly, any tips?"

Wanna do Gens is like saying the Killer wants to kill. Its the only thing they can do.
How to prevent getting genrushed? Get better in chases and know where and when a chase makes sense.
Ruin helps aswell, but a good killer wont need it tbh.
Its strange that you say good killers dont need ruin when its run by almost everyone at high ranks. Do i smell a survivor creeping into my killer discussion ;o BLASPHEMY!!

R.I.P immersive piggy, you were always my fac character in saw ),=

Nope, camping/tunnel = zero skills
To me its just weak people whos not trust theirs abilities and choose the easy way out.
As killer im making 4kills or 3 without it just fine. Plus you have points and more fun than just waiting stupidly. And when im 1kill or even zero, well, i prefer to play fair for everyone than kills everybody with no pride lul.
People needs to Stop trying to make this a strategy, its just the laziest and dumbest way to play
I think it can be a wonderful strategy if you're playing against overly altruistic survivors.
Also, looking at your comment history you said you almost never play killer :0 im guessing you always 3/4 k in lower tiers, in higher tiers if you get bad maps (cornfield nurse, institute billy, ect) it can get pretty crappy. I typically do it late game if i need it to pip or if they're waaay over altruistic
If it works, why not do it?
-
Or, ban all killers all together! have 4 survivors do gens vs no killer. Thats what survivors want anyway! Everyone survives, no more camping, tunnelling, bbq, ruin, or moris!
If you disagree you just hate survivors. killers are too powerful anyways.
-
You can hold the bottles ready to throw and not lose any walking speed
Area denial is really strong with him, use that to your advantage often
mind games are your friend
Reload your bottles at hooks
if you run out of bottles, you can still m1 rush them
throwing bottles near gens will prob show whos around
hope this helps (=
-
Hmm i dont think it would last long enough. Maybe throw remember me into the ring aswell! Are you trying to circumvent the timer slowing down?

Well, he got a small nerf with the Nurse Calling nerf in the last December. It,s no longer a must have perk on Doc... :(
Dont worry Herman, ill play him in your honor... But sadly i dont expect a buff anytime soon
-
@TAG said:
One thing I'm wondering is if it would be a buff for the Doc if Snapping Out Of It completely emptied out a Survivor's Madness. It would mean the Doc can get a scream from them quickly again since getting to Level 1 is pretty quick.
Thats pretty interesting, but i typically use doctor hallucinations to see where the survivors are at madness II

Perfectly fine with that. If it were up to survivors, killers would be AI bots on an easy difficulty anyway.
XD nice

how would people feel if he was "captured" and turned into a new killer/survivor?
Ive been looking forward to him possibly becoming a killer for years
-
Hahaha **** me this thread is funny
-
I feel like it's considered "unfun" to go against him because looping is the primary way of dealing with survivors. Stealth imo is a wonderful option against legion.
-
I typically get a TON more salt from survivors as killer than from killers as a survivor. I feel like if you dont play to their imaginary rules (i.e. Tunnelling, camping, killing, breathing, ect.) they feel offended almost. The mentality of "i can be toxic and not suffer the consequences" is the prime location of gourmet Himalayan pink sea salt. As for killers, a simple loop for 5 gens and tbag (with a few points) brings it out of them.
