They really just need to cap the number of times per second the animation and sound go off for flashlights to get rid of that annoying loud static sound macro.
At least that if they [BHVR] don't want to bother with the audio settings

Most games only have sound options for Music, Voice acting, and General Volume i dont know many that have any for small things.
to me that would be like having volume settings for Trees, Enemies, Spells, Swords ect. idk
flashlight can be annoying but its not the biggest deal compared to even clowns chase music
Why would one not take this into general consideration considering that this game "encourages" stealth; if I don't want to hear music during a chase, just turn it off, or lower it, instead of Doctor's jumping on a violin each time you find someone
Having those joke settings would be better than not having them at all

@AnchorTea said:
Does EVERYTHING need to have an option through the settings menu? Deal with it.
Why yes, that would be nice. Why, do other games not have a setting to adjust volumes of different things separately?
-
After resetting, everything goes back to normal.
-
This looks cool for a showcase, wouldn't be too bad to actually have it in the game.
-
At least this looks cool.
-
Alrighty, pressed the exit button where it's supposed to be and it worked, only this time the main menu is gone, but technically it's working.
-
Ay, The Trapper is messed up with the add-on, I don't think I've managed to use the power once apart from the beginning of the game.
-
It's a perk meant to be used for dodging stuff. That's it.
Whatever harm comes into DH, you avoid it. No need to single out the Blight.
-
Maybe not for the survivors that are escaping now, maybe the survivors from before could've painted something like "He can't get through" or "You're safe on that side", something like that.
-
I mean, they are working on a killer-based MM, so it's gonna take a bit to implement it.
Other than that, you could just play your main/other killer until rank reset or the new MM comes into play. No need to actually play the killer you want to level up.

Yeah my biggest issue is the map is so bad for surv now.
Honestly, the Trapper can get so much ######### done if the basement is inside the school and he trapped the remaining doors, basically an avalanche.
-
Imagine relying on vision, lol.
In all seriousness, it's really bad, like, really really bad. Same thing is present on Ormond, I believe.

So I'm finally unjailed and I've been playing this patch quite a bit I got things I enjoy and things I don't. So I'll start with the things I like.
Some things I like are the fact that the frames on my xbox have been fixed the game runs properly, the new killer is quite strong, I like the perk built to last. I love the new maps... design wise. That's about it those are my likes.
Some things I dont like are badham they killed badham. There are hardly any fillers useless breakable walls the killers arent gonna break, short loops that you can side step. The map is overall terrible and unfun to play as survivor. Yamaoka they did wonderfully I actually enjoy that map now.
A lot of bugs like the new ds bug, your character still does not turn their body when you look behind you for some reason. Movement bug for console that makes it 360s, and moonwalking impossible. It's just really bad.
These are my thoughts what do you guys think?
Agreed on Badham, it's weird not having the whole school open, among other things.

A ######### band aid is better than not having one, I guess.

First day online?
Bored :P

Yeah, the map have a small carnival area with some circus music.
Oh, you meant it like that. I thought you meant we have a full circus-themed map.

How do you best use them? I'm not a high rank killer so I don't know how to use dream snares. I think they're best used at vaults or narrow spaces?
Could you tell me what build you run on Freddy?
And snares are usually good at corners around loops, not at the pallet itself. If you place it in front of a window, you won't get full use of it, try to place it a bit behind where you know the survivor will be coming from.

Well keys are basically a free escape. For example, imagine you have two survivors left, there are three gens done. They can just find the hatch and dip out. Would you not feel robbed in that situation if you were the killer?
Mori's are similar in that a survivor's life can be cut in half when a killer simply one hooks mori's. Especially if they tunnel for it. Both need drastic changes or to be removed altogether.
Don't you need surv + 1 gens done to escape with a key? Not to mention the randomness of spawning the hatch at an easily visible spot.
If you're tunneling for a mori, that's 60 seconds of wasted time for the killer, and that's just phase one.
I play both killer and survivor, so I don't really see any problems with it, since I don't use them.
-
@AggressiveFTW said:
I just think we need a larger carnival area of The Clown's map, and they won't make a whole map with a carnival theme (because we already have one).
We do?

@FilledPizza said:
Dropping the survivor below the hook and picking them up usually fixes the bug for me.
That's a bit risky since you're filling their wiggle bar.
I guess it's at least a ######### band aid, better than nothing.
-
What exactly is the problem with both?
-
I wonder if this comment will make the thread appear in recent threads, lol
If so, maybe forums should have an outdated forum section?
-
@Todgeweiht said:
yeah, but the cooldown?
You're mostly on quite a low timer, since finding another survivor would probably take about 15-20 seconds, and it's cooling down as you're hooking someone, so I'd say you're looking at 5-10 second cool down at most (level 3 perk, ofc)
-
This was even before the patch, I do believe it has something to do with lag/internet connection.
Just spam the button for hooking and eventually it'll hook.
-
Damn, is the new update that bad?

Hot: Fixed an issue that allowed the killer to have a weapon , weapons are dangerous kids!
Hotfix: Removed Killers all together, TR is too scary.

Quentin and Freddy are the last chapter duo to not get cosmetics. Is there any chance at getting their license for cosmetics anytime soon? I would like to be able to get my main man Freddy some new threads.
Maybe when and if they rework Quentins face we'll get some? I don't know what's the progress with that one, though.
Any news about this? @Peanits
-
Nurse, Wraith and Spirit are also using their own little realms to do stuff, Freddy is the same thing if you ask me.
His perks are a bit too weak, but the map pressure is amazing. Blood Warden is the only perk that's actually useful on him and other killers.
May I ask what rank are you? Freddy is a high-tier killer, so it's surprising that you say that they're so bad.
-
@Trwth said:
I could totally see that in a Killer’s kit. Heat Vision that highlights Survivors! It could be pretty interesting...
Freddy already kinda does that, to be honest. :/

50% is actually not as much as you think. If it takes you 20 seconds to open the door at 100% speed, itll still take 15 seconds to open the door at 150% speed.
I meant in this scenario,

Agree about wake up buff being too strong. Especially in conjunction with spine chill, Resilience, and/or someone nearby running Leader.
If the killer is coming towards you and this setup happens, you might as well phase through the gate fully.
-
@DupstepAlex078 said:
I wonder what people think about the Vigil Buff? Is it too much?
Nah, Vigil is supposed to do exactly that, many were complaining that the numbers were too low, and even with the added effects, it's good.
-
Perfectly manageable, and they seem like good buffs to me, but I think 50% is a bit too much on the Wake Up!. Other than that, how would Pharmacy and Ace in the Hole work together? Better/worse add-ons or they would just ignore the first search?

I like being able to play each pallet, instead of just trying to break every pallet on the map. My normal build is BBQ, Pop, Surge and STBFL.
I keep a lot of pressure, even if I kick almost all the pallets I encounter, so I don't have a problem with my option, but hey, everybody has their own strengths.

With snares, they get the fake safety while looping around REAL pallets. Get in a pallet heavy map like bloodlodge, and youll get hits for days, lol.
I also like pallet heavy maps since i can fill in the rest of the empty places, confusing them and making them waste pallets. I run Brutal Strength, and sometimes Fire Up, so kicking pallets is the least of my worries. BBQ and PGTW are perfect with those two.

Snares feel so much better... With pallets, your power working falls to if survivors use your fake pallets. For snares... Even if they know exactly where the snare is, doesnt make it any less useful. Snares allow you to get hits on most loops if used correctly.
But the fake safety and looping at a dreampallet just to find out is fake is one of the best feelings, not gonna lie. Although, I did realize that SWF with comms are a legit pain in the ######### ass, considering that they can bring down most pallets.
-
Played Plague a day ago and got God Pallet stunned just to teleport 15 meters infront of it while still managing to hit the survivor. Poor Dweet.
-
You people with your snares, is there anyone that uses pallets besides me? T-T
Also, every OoO user is guaranteed to be toxic in my case, so I can do only much to return the toxicity back.

You're missing quite a lot, my dude.
-
I believe you'll have more luck asking in the submission category, they're responsible for cosplays, artworks and stuff.
-
It would be better if you can change the color of all skillchecks that are not white, considering it's a bit harder to see them in special places and maps.
-
It takes about thirty seconds for me on the PC, red ranks and purple, the rest is even shorter.
-
Quick question, my dude, thoughts on this build?
POGTW
BBQ
Brutal Strength
And the fourth is usually switching with Stridor, Huntress Lullaby, Corrupt Intervention and Whispers
Addons for Pallets, either Garden Rake or Paint Thinner, and Green Dress, Blue Dress or Nancy's Masterpiece

When I play survivor, yes. Killer (which is most time these days) no.
I got to rank 5 yesterday with Freddy from rank 8 in less that 5 hours, mostly due to doublepipping, but that's besides the point.
I'm not too sure if they added the dedicated servers yet, but I'm loving it so far. Surv ranks are at around mine, either a rank down or up difference.

yeah, im not saying killers arent good at all maps but for example if you are going to do a special/fun build that is best to do on certain maps rather than others wouldnt you want to go there? and if you and the survivor both brought in the same offering or different of the same rarity it would be like it is now 50/50. And the nea thing can and is still happening now
If it takes me there, I'm there, if not, play out the game, get into another one.
Also, I know the Nea thing is still happening, but this way it would be insufferable.
-
Isn't, like, rank 15 actually the limit to going down by rank reset? Or am I thinking about de-piping...
-
@LonlyGamerX said:

First off what i meant by noed is it shouldnt give you a speed bounce which is does. And like if you playing a specific build for a spefic map, dont you want the chances of going to that map higher instead of having a maybe chances
Most killers don't need map offerings to perform well, if they know what they're doing, it would be fine, except maybe Trapper and Hag, the set-up killers.
Other than that, like what, Balanced Landing Nea's in Haddonfield? I'm good, thanks.
-
Well, this was a pain to read.
Most of the perks would be overbuffed, such as DS, Ruin.
WGLF and NOED already do that (4 stacks, a movement speed boost to the killer).
Survivor offering are useless and worthless, considering that they don't have powers like killers do (Myers, Pig, Freddy, Bubba).
Also, who the hell would actually want to get sent to Coldwind with 70% chance. While we're at it, map offerings kinda do that, if two maps collide, it's either one or the other, at least in my cases.
-
You're not going crazy, it's actually quite common for me, at least. Exit the game and then come back in and it should be the real daily.
-
So I'm not the only one, huh.
I finished a gen with a wounded Bill that wanted me to heal him after. Poor dude never got the heal. :(
