Looks like lag, possibly lagswitch had a few of them recently where only one guy lagged and only every when being chased.
Although it could also be normal run of the mill lag
-
If it's a SWF and one of them randomly starts clicking at me I instantly check the nearby lockers and corners. The number of times i've found another survivor lol. It's usually because they are trying to save their team mate who isn't a good runner.
-
You can get out of it if you rotate in circles using a - d, got me free every time but it can be withing 5 seconds or 3 mins depending on your luck.
Pretty sure it's a feature not a bug

This change would make moris pointless. If you Mori instead of hook you get less bloodpoints and don't trigger hook perks like BBQ and Pop. It also encourages tunneling to counter DS and such. Here is how you fix moris:
- Make yellow Mori base kit. It's fun and changes nothing. If you are the last survivor and downed you are gonna die anyway.
- Make green and ebony Mori work off a token system. Every time a survivor is hooked you gain 1 token. Everytime a generator is completed you lose 1 token. Once you have 3 tokens you can spend them to Mori 1 survivor.
- Green Mori still allows 1 kill
- Ebony Mori allows 2 kills, but at the start of the trial, the generator furthest from the killer is automatically completed.
- Moris are no longer secret.
You fix keys in a similar way:
- Keys can no longer be found in chests.
- Keys only allow 1 survivor through then the hatch closes.
- The key now has an animation and timer for opening. 5-10 seconds.
- Once the hatch has been opened by a key it can't be opened again for 60 seconds.
- If a survivor dies on hook while carrying a key it is removed from the trial.
I Actually really like this, i would even use the mori if this change was made
-
Yeah and why can't I tag my other killer friends into the match!
-
Good ideas. I especially like the DS one becoming base kit with the listed changes.
-
I've mained killer for a long time but recently a friend got me back into survivor. and from my experience ranks are utterly meaningless. I'm a very average killer happy around rank 9, yet i can get to red ranks with zero effort.
Same with surviror, i miss skillchecks now and then and i can't loop to save my life yet i constantly go up in ranks
-
I've played against him, and i've just picked him up and started playing him. Sure he is annoying as hell to play against but against a decent team he can easily be beaten.
-
I admit i run it, but thats because i have nothing better to replace it with lol
-
That is a tough choice. On the one hand mori and key are derp and need to go but then map design is arguably a bigger issue, a number of very one sided maps and others that are just not fun to play.
-
If they take no skill how come I sometimes lose matches with them?
-
I have been "Reported" at least three times for using Franklins because someone had a key and they also had the addons to they didn't lose it on death. Apparently it's a) Trolling and b) exploiting.
Been running wraith with sloppy recently and i get both praised and called out for using "TrU3Ta1ent's build"
-
I run into obvious swf (usually all have tagged/similar names) about once a day, 90% of them are actually pretty terrible are insanely altruistic to the point where I can get 2-3 slugs from a single hook because they are instantly on me as soon as I pick someone up.
But every now I then I get a really good swf that challenge the hell out of me and usually stomp me, and yet they are nice as hell in end game chat and even managed to make the game itself enjoyable.
Basically it seems the trash players who are boosted by SWF are the abusive toxic fucktards and the genuinely skilled SWF are decent people.
-
I only get this on gens/bones but i get it like 90% of the time. Never had it happen on a vault or entering/exiting a locker tho.
-
I've had plenty of games where body blocking has resulted in a wiggle escape. Seems to be working fine.
-
Ah perfect thank you, never seen it happen before from the ground (it's pretty uncommon for me to slug) and somehow i missed that perk when searching. Mystery solved.
Cheers.
-
I get called a gen camper so damn often on hag, because the survivors leave the last three gens within spitting ditance so i can TP to any of the gens when they trigger traps. and they get upset when i don't chase them into the dead side of the map as they spam the follow me emote
-
On Haddonfield a number of the generators stop making sound when standing outside but just in the doorway, there are so many sounds bugs on that map actually.
-
A survivor getting caught multiple times in a row is not getting tunneled tho, they are just getting caught :/ it's not scummy, low skilled or any other bullshit from the killer, it's pretty much just bad play from the survivor
-
Slugging is fine, slugging and refusing to hook in a situation like this is just being a dick, the game should detect loss situation such as this and increase the bleed out speed.
-
If everyone just did gens and escaped the majority of these killers would get bored of 1 kill games and stop camping, Unfortunately far too many survivors are happy to camp the camping killer and do nothing, so many times I've been on the hook watching all three survivors crouched in corners around me waiting the full duration of the hook.
-
You have to wonder how many players the game loses because their first few matches are so inbalanced, i know two of my friends quit because in the first 5 matches we got matched against purple killers. and then one of the gave killer a go and got a full team of purples again, neither have played a game since.
-
trickle down balance works about as well as trickle down economics

I sometimes BM to get chased by the killer. Only if I know I'll last longer than my teammates though
That actually works? If i see a surv t-bagging clicking in from 10 feet away it's really ######### obvious they want me to chase them, so I instantly think "what are they trying to distract me from". Many a survivor has caused a team mate i had no idea was there (such as in the cab near me, or crouched in a corner behind me) to get caught because they are so damn obvious.
-
Yeah id say I get this kinda ######### in 50% of my matches, especially if I they are a swf or partial swf. I totally understand why some killers become campers/tunnelers after putting up with this kinda crap so often.
-
You know, i've just started using ruin recently because i've just saved up enough to get the hag. I've played maybe 30 games with ruin so far and in maybe 2 games has the totem survived more than 2 mins.
Seems espeically vs red ranks the survivors can mostly ignore it and get gens done anyway or are quick enough at finding it that it has little effect on the game, i mainly use it to slow down the start of the match so i can get my traps setup.
Although i recently switched it out for devour hope, although so far i've only ever managed a single exposed down before the totem is destroyed.
-
I used to get annoyed at surv t-bagging after a pallet stun, now I find it funny as hell, sure you stand there and waste all that time you gained from the stun.
I also find it funny to tunnel and camp the guy who t-bags every single vault/stun because they get so damn salty over it.
-
I must be lucky as hell, never had any issues with the grabs
-
Yeah i've noticed this too. Seems like an odd choice
-
If you getting hook and then camped perhaps you should come up with a new plan of action or simply get better
-
And yet as you pointed out. Those elements are removed by the simple fact people use voicecomms, You can bury your head in the sand (not saying you, just in general) and try and ignore it, but the fact is until the gap is closed the game cannot be balanced around them, which it needs to be.
This simple mechanic would add a little boost for solo que without effecting swf and without "having all the info at their fingertips" it still means they have to pay attention and keep a mental count.
-
Camping has a time and place
-
I think a notification of when one is done wouldn't be a bad idea, but lets not have a counter spoon feeding you information.
-
That's pretty much what i run on hag atm (although thats also because I Lack other perks for her yet) Nurses, Franklins, Hex: Ruin and pgtw
-
I almost always run it these days. Used to be only when i saw a team with full toolboxes. But recently almost every single group i run into has 2-3 toolboxes and the game becomes boring without franklins to keep them on their toes.
-
I'm lost as to the point here?
-
Haddonfield is just an all round terrible map, thankfully it's rare that I play it, but it's always terrible swf or not.
-
Yeah... that sounds iffy as ######### tbh lol
-
My guess, he usually plays a part of a swf and wasn't used to solo que, he certainly got no bp for the match.
-
Ha, I even hate them when playing killer, had a game where i found three survivors a number of times, but i could never find the 4th, I started to make a point of hunting him because Im worried thinking he's outgaming me somehow, get the the end, all three are dead and i've still not found him.
Eventually spot him opening a gate, down and hook, end game chat confirms he spent most of the game crouched in the corner furthest from me or hiding in a locker whenever i came neat, most boring game,
Worst thing is, he was rank 6 the three others got screwed and were rank 13-15.
-
The killer didn't drag the game out, you did.

Slugging for the 4k became a viable option ever since the last Survivor started standing by the hatch waiting for the 3rd to die or DC, instead of trying to rescuing them.
I will look for that last Survivor unless the game has gone long and I want to get to the next one.
Yeah, very much this tbh

I currently think that the end game is unhealthy for the game.
Let me clarify: If their is 2-1 survivors left and the killer slugs till Till they find them or hook the 3rd and find hatch then go back and fourth between 2 gates that nearly always spawn near each other.
Now that is unhealthy it isn’t fun for survivor or killer and is stressful.
See you say "that nearly always spawn near each other" but i'm pretty sure that is observation bias, because as killer they always seem to be as far as possible from each other, and as survivor they might as well have one door they are so close.

I've already debunked this point. Killers can open a gate. As for teabagging, I have my own problems that I'll be addressing in other discussions.
I'm talking after the gate is open, I've had more games than I can count where i've sacrified someone miles from the exit gate and while i'm doing it the gate opens, and the survivors will all stand right before the exit and wait for me to cross the entire map just so they can t-bag where i can see them and then run out as soon as i come closer. I've even stood around the corner out of sight and had them wait from 100% to 1% of the timer before they eventually leave.
My point being, that plenty of survivors are happy to waste their own time for the full duration of the collapse in order to get a t-bag off, so i'm not feeling much sympathy for the argument of slugging wasting their time.
-
I often slug the third surviror in order to chase the 4th, but only if i know where the 4th is.
Also the whole "holding the game hostage, it takes longer" i'm calling bullshit on. 90% of the games where survivors get the exit gate open, they will sit for the entire endgame timer at the exit waiting for the killer so they can t-bag and run through at the last second. So i get the feeling the vast majority of survivors are fine with wasting time.
-
I guess this is why I've seen so many survivors healing under the hook recently
-
You might have more luck holding back the tide with a toothbrush than getting people to stop
-
I've said it before and i'll say it again, the level of delusion on these forums is insane
-
It's annoying to lose your offering because a survivor DC's during / just after the load so i'd like to see this fixed too
