I'm on 9.1.0 and only now have I realised that my Auric cells were not granted upon finishing the rift—-well not entirely, at least… I have the Dredge final skin from that rift, but now that there's a new rift, I have only 150! where's all them Auric Cells? I didn't use them, that I'm sure.
I mean, Live Service games always come across this issue, I get it, but I'd like my cells back. This is pretty bad.
Wonder if they can return it to us somehow.PLATFORM: PC, Steam, Windows 11
Hope the QA team can figure this one out, and get us our aurics back.
good day and good luck! -
I had matches, back to back, where I had to give up due to the constant rubber banding. The game is so unplayable right now—It's infuriating.
Some sort of network issue is happening, because this is not a performance issue on my end. It's either the servers or something in the game's networking.
It's awful right now. -

Spine chill used to be really good for vault builds, but the effect that made vaults faster was removed. On top of that it helped a lot against stealth killers or undetectable builds / perks.
Also, the number of perks to choose from wasn't nearly as big.
Yeah the perk got nerfed. It's useless now. (not useless... just very niche... almost useless)
There was also no need of a line of sight... just 36 meters away and, BAM, you got the info the killer looked your way
-
On CSGO they hate if you use P90... it's normal... low skill requirements make people think you have low skill.
Matches are much easier if you use META perks... so players assume "Oh, he must be bad", even though the game balance warrants for its use. Also you can't tell if the survivors are using META perks themselves, so you just assume they have the best perks so you equip your own best build.
Also NOED can be very useful to compensate for mistakes, and survivors hate that the killer can have a comeback so cheaply... and I agree that Noed should be a little weaker... even though it's very counterplayable
-
I mean BT exists and you can bait a killer away from the hook... A general sense of the game helps to deal with this.
Also if this guy had 28900 then probably he didn't just facecamp. Gens coulda been done while he camped, looping better would have given team mates time to do gens.
28000 BP to me is evidence that hard facecamp didn't really take place, and theres more to this story that you're leaving out.
Also 3 of you escaped. He certainly didn't get a PP for sacrifice there.

When this map was still new, i didn't really have many issues with it. But i have a feeling that's because the killers i went against didn't really know how to deal with it.
Now however, i'm very tempted to dc on it whenever i get it. As a survivor you can't mindgame at any pallet on this map. All that's required is to bloodlust as Killer and it's super easy to pull off on this map because of how unsafe every pallet is. Killers like Freddy with Snares or Clown make this even easier you might as well not even try. I know Balanced Landing somewhat helps on this map but not everyone runs it.
I'm not asking for super safe unmindgameable loops, but this is too much. Springwood for example is nicely balanced imo for both sides.
This map is also a nightmare when playing solo, might waste a lot of time looking for a certain Hex totem or a generator/your teammates unless you have an aura reading perk.
Gameplaywise, this map is trash. I made sure to let them know in the survey even though it's unlikely they'll adjust this map because it's the most recent one.
It has so many pallets though, just drop and go.
I Played Ghost against a survivor that did that, and there were just so many pallets down. The time to break them would cost me the game. And at the end it almost saved one of the survivors because he would just slide, pallet by pallet, getting farther and farther. Unfortunately for him he didn't know what gate was open.
Just drop every pallet basically.

at red ranks as survivor you can die and still pip, at least black pip most of the time as long as you where not a Dwight in a locker or get moried instantly. FOR KILLER. a 2k AT BEST IN A PERFECT SCENERIO is a black pip, most of the time it's a de pip. even getting some 3k's is a depip with some killers/gate keeper emblem being ENTIRELY up to the survivors due to how fast gens go at red ranks. with killers like plague and billy you are at a disadvantage with the chaser emblem, so not only is your gatekeeper emblem not gonna be high more than likely BUT your chaser emblem will be low to if you play these 2 killers. which means a "balanced 2k 2 escape average" is not being able to rank up in red rank and will probably de rank. for some other killers LIKE SPIRIT WHO CAN GET IRIDESCENT CHASER, even then 3k is usually a black pip and most of the time you NEED A 4K TO PIP AS KILLER. you DON'T need to escape as survivor to pip. so this 2 kills 2 escape balance is bad until AT THE VERY LEAST you change how difficult it is to pip in red ranks
They made it so that you have to torture and punish not necessarily kill.

Ghostface is easier to play I think. But Myers is better. The character itself, the game mechanics and the fun... All points for Myers

I think her terror radius should shrink more quickly when crouching. 4 seconds is a long time and it can easily alert people you're trying to creep on. I'd also argue that her dash should have no slowdown when charging, or no growl. She's pretty solid but I feel she could use with a few tweaks to make her more optimized.
Could be on her add-ons

Again, its spoken like someone who has never been in that situation.
Nobody WANTS to get stabbed, beaten, or potentially killed. Even if it means knocking a killer on their ass, the chances of you actually killing them is extremely low. The chances of them killing or gravely injuring you, however, is far higher. Not a risk anyone is willing to take.
NO, it was spoken by someone in pretty much that exact situation. Fight or flight... some people are fight.
-
I play for me so I'd camp that. Drop the third guy. Maybe give one of them hatch while the others are hooked.
-
Pennywise can be trapped and weakened. I think it is In the Dark Tower that we see a bit of that.
So if the entity is not afraid then it would defeat and control pennywise easily I think.
And it would be nice to get a survivor not from the losers club but someone with the shining.
-
It's the entity's fangs, that grow around the survivor. Being hooked is the same as being at the jaws of oblivion as they close shut on you. Either be unhooked or be swallowed by darkness.
-
Basically you're saying: Have some good sense.
-
The only buff it needs is to play SAW's theme song when you have a trap on your head.

Have you seen half these killers? They're twice his size!
That's not to mention that, no sane person in reality would throw themselves at someone with a lethal weapon.
When you're in a life threatening situation, believe me, its harder than it appears to 'just run up to someone and tackle them' if they have a weapon. You're essentially putting your life at risk just to one up the guy who has the advantage; most people will run away, even if they appear strong.
Surprising a killer into a stun is far different than bum-rushing them.
they have like baseball bats and machetes... not guns. If the survivors got together, even a group of meekly neas could take down those big killers.

I like this idea, but this gives away all the combos no mither haves with other perks.
Yeah, true. But this version would make it really interesting, and more usable by survivors.

The only thing that makes the game lean in favor of survivors are a few maps or survive with friends (at times).
When I get a certain map as a certain killer I just know that I'm gonna need extra work to get those kills...
Maps affect Balance the most I think. Which perks survivors are running and which killer at which map.
People get frustrated at this game a lot, but there is a luck factor. And that is what people nag on all the time without realizing. Sneaky killers are great in maps with a lot of LOS blockers. But when you play myers in open fields it gets a little harder. And playing Billy in Lery's is annoying.
But I think it is part of it... games are not that long... people just need to not care too much about one particular game and enjoy the game when you get a good map

Freddy, red ranks, Xbox, Ormond
Yesterday I had to do the mission to sacrifice 5 survivors, I get a 4k as legion and then proceed to start a match as Freddy...
THEY DIDN'T EVEN DO A GEN (Full red ranks SWF)! I get them all to last hook, 2 guys DC (which doesn't count as a sacrifice for the challenge...) and then I go and message the last 2 guys "care to farm? I need 1 sacrificed survivor for a challenge, so, 1 of you has to die and the other can escape, you guys pick who", they answer back "sure, full red ranks and couldn't even do a gen, you're a really good killer, thanks"
I farm with them, and as soon as the last gen pops I let one destroy my NOED and then I proceeded to down him, he messages me "not me", I let him wiggle off, and as he runs away I notice what's happening... the other guy was at the hatch with a key... They both got a hatch escape...
REALLY?! You get to play against a non tunneler, non camper killer who owns your team and lets you farm by politely asking for ONE KILL, ONE! And you play me like this...?
I sent a message to both... "That was really low... I guess that's what I get for being nice"
Survivor 1: "Yep, that's what you get, deal with it"
Survivor 2 "I see an oportunity, I take it"
DON'T YOU DARE COMPLAIN ABOUT TOXICITY IN THIS GAME WHEN YOU ARE THE KIND OF PEOPLE WHO PROMOTE IT!
Sorry if I bored you, just felt like sharing...
I'm not gonna stop doing this kind of nice things every now and then, but I surely got really mad...
That's why I wnated this game to have a more casual mode... where people can play in a non-trihard manner. Right now, the fact is that they did their job and you are wrong to give them a chance.
The game is designed in a competitive way. To act cooperative (Killer/Survivor) is just playing the game wrong. It's the same as a boxer kicking or a goalie carrying the ball to other goal with his hands. You can't complain. You're wrong.
But in a casual mode, challenges could still be a thing and be competitive at that. As long as it is split from the main game mode that we currently have.

Nurse takes time to master. Behaviour must have some analytics where they can tell how much people are playing the game and their ages. This affects how much you can learn about Nurse.
For me, on PC, a play very little. So I suck as nurse, billy, huntress... all of the ones that demand more skill and time to master.
My friend has like 3000 hours and is pretty much a god with Nurse.
So bottom line is, she is strong. People just don't wanna take the time to learn how to use her.
-
I like to play immersive when I play killer, so, I try to run 1 or 2 of their own perks most times.
As survivor, though, I'm just in it for the LOLs... so I have no immersion. And run any perk, really.

The problem with it before was every survivor could get it easily. We need to make it still be difficult to get, but not require you to throw the game. I think if we go lower than 3 it would cause the same problem as before by it being too easy to get, and it would have to be safe unhooks otherwise the survivors would just farm their teammates.
oh, i feel you man, but the thing with game developping is that when it comes to this subtle nuanced changes, the only way is to playtest and check the effects of the changes made.
The devs need to catalgo a few of our suggestions and consider their plans for the future of the game and analyze all of it within a PTB.

So for the last several days almost every time I play Freddy I have had survivors DC either as soon as they see who the killer is or immediately after being downed the first time. Is this seriously how the survivor community reacts to a killer being reworked? Oh this killer is more powerful now so I'm not even going to attempt to put up a fight.
I follow the "survivor rules" and don't tunnel or camp to give people a chance. Freddy is so much fun to play not to mention one of my favorite horror icons. Now it's such a gamble if I'll even get to play a decent match with him. I hope the devs are paying attention to this stuff.
At what rank is this happening?

Safe Unhooks are less likely to happen than you think.Maybe change this for any Unhooking. Or if you want the Hooks to be safe, it would be fine to leave it at 3 stacks, maybe even 2. The idea of causing Deep Wounds is interesting too. Perhaps you're onto something here.
It's up to the devs to listen and add all of these possibilities to a PTB at some point.
I do feel they should focus on reworking a few things for the next release. Instead of adding new things, fix the old.
Alhtough I understand that the constant addition of new content is what makes this game special amongst other multiplayers

I personally disagree, monsters most certainly can be killers but what truly distinguishes one from another is their intelligence level and goals. Let's compare the Demogorgon to Pumpkinhead for this example. The Demogorgon, at least from what we know currently is a simple creature, it does what it does to survive but also to serve. Usually it serves the MF but is now obedient and TRAINED by the Entity to serve it and ultimately that's what the Entity wants.
Now, Pumpkinhead for all intent and purpose is also a monster but a highly intelligent one at that. A creature that loves too toy with its prey and then once captured finds the most painful way possible to kill you. It knows what it's doing and will stop at nothing to achieve its goal. So yeah, as much as I disagree, I get the whole, "I want slasher type characters" but after having that for so long, it just got samey for me.
Also, don't loose hope about Chucky, not to long ago the devs stated they actually were talking about Chucky and how he could work
It got samey for sure... I guess i'm just restricting it too much. I should probably just appreciatethem being creative with original characters that can fit the lore and just allow my suspension of disbelief to accept the licensed killers that don't exactly fit.

If you have any remote interest in weird/existential horror then I HIGHLY suggest some of Lovecraft's work. Just for a warning though, Lovecraft during the beginning of his work was pretty xenophobic and it does come through in his early work. Whatever you do, don't look up the name of his cat.
I read every Lovecraft Mythos stories. My issue with adding any creature is that they aren't killers they are monsters. And many of them are more powerful than DBD's Entity.
Someone mentioned the Creature from the Black Lagoon, andmaybe a Shadow Over Innsmouth type of killer could work.
Maybe Lovecraftian-inspired could be the way. Someone that served the entity in life. Could even be tied to Vigo or another character already in the lore.
Pennywise is too powerful to be caught by the entity, right? I don't know maybe.
But I am glad to see your opinions. I thought Chucky would be silly but you guys shed some light on him. Could work. :)

Ghostface's power is to mark and down survivors in a single hit. But his power is also to lose terror radius and his red stain, and this second part of his power is about as strong as marking and downing.
When two survivors are sitting at the same gen, instead of marking both survivors i try to leave them almost marked and catch one of them. Works about 7/10 times. When I don't catch, I still have them almost fully marked and it's easy to down them from there.
TL;DR Losing Terror Radius and Redstain is much more powerful than people think.
-
Body blocking can be considered griefing if a killer keeps you stuck in a corner for too long. Or if a survivor sandbags another survivor by doing the same thing.
If griefing is a bannable offense is a whole different story.
I've played against a survivor once that just sandbagged his team mates. In his profile he had screenshots of him doing it and praising himself for causing people to get mad.
In that case I'd say it's bannable.
When I play Wraith I bodyblock a lot. When I play survivor with perks to help with protection, I body block killers as much as i can.
TL;DR : The issue is excess and abuse. Bodyblocking is allowed otherwise.

The Character Design in this game is really good for the killers and even some survivor cosmetics. They should totally capitalize on that talent.
Maybe those Funko Pops, or something like that too
I love their redesign for Ghostface, the Doctor is very Hellraiser-like, and Huntress is badass. Would like me some of those.
