I agree with this.
Honeslty, at this point of 1000000 perks and addons i would kinda remake the game:
- Remove killer perks make Base only.
- Remove all survivor items make Base only.
- Restrict perks to 3 for each survivor because i think 4 is toooo much.
- Rework Bloodlust (This is when problems started in the game imo.)
- Rework Hooks ( This is old and noone has 3 lives ...)
Then work on maps/gens. Maybe reduce gens to 4, make another escape condition or even remove this mechanic.

That's not the majority of PC players though, are some using controller? Yes, but most are Mouse and Keyboard.
Nonetheless it still is an advantage and I'll even go as far as saying Controller on PC is more advantageous than on Console considering extra programs for remapping + elevated sensitivity controls on PC for controller exist.
I use controller on PC not to tryhard because well ... who needs extra ######### on Horror Asyn games ?
I just use because it feels confortable for my hands.

A bad decision that segregate the playerbase and kinda classify and put a tag on pc players.
Like every pc player is a kid who use cheat ? This is not true.

I agree with Peanits that latency take a role but other games do better of course because the servers on DBD are very bad even vs same country players.
Take CS for example (i know it's fps and servers tickrate are better but still)
Another example TCM that you can actually play with cross continental players.
And those are just 2 examples ... so yeah in the end Latency play a role but this argument seems invalid for me.
What needs to be changed is DBD code and servers be more capable.
Lastly i have a teory:
"Devs wanted to nerf the vault and baited it on PTB" to lure it's a bug or something reverted because only a MAGIC can not bring the PTB changes and still mess with before PTB vaults ... seems like some genius coding.

Dude you console players are lucky to not have ingame chat.
Most of PC players just close the chat because we don't want to deal with 99% of toxicity.
Sometimes you miss the "well played" "gg" or nice game" but those are very rare.

If not i'm trying to clarify:
1 - PTB (Marketing and some weird fixes)
2 - Buff the killer to Sell DLC
3 - Streamers go crazy ("Found My new main ...")
4 - After sold a lot -> Nerf to the ground
5 - Streamers dissapointed
6 - Rinse and repeat

Dbd is super competitive now I miss when it was just casual and fun.
DBD is not competitive it's just some tryhards bringing the most meta they can.
Im tired so see dumb... players that don't even look behind AND/OR have no notion how to loop but hey they have the meta combo "window-mft-resil-dh"

And you 99% a gen and then "jolt" regress like 2 because they are close and then Scourge back your gen to 60% and Pop finish the deal and then you left the game frustrated or play killer or better yet play Civ5 or TCM.

Yet we see people complaining about it. BHVR themselves said they do not want to punish killers for the survivors' mistakes but here we are with another post that demands 3 gens get nerfed.
I remember the days when you manage to NOT 3gen urself and It was survivor mistake a long time ago i agree.
Nowadays it's not the reality anymore ... you take off 1 3gen and then pop another and another and another because they reduced maps and remade gen spawn.
Summary:
Small maps + gen spawns = 3gen everytime even with Dejavu you can see that is a 3gen clown fiesta.
Ps.: I'm not even talking about Swamp with those RIDICULOUS 5 gens next shack/pier.

Well.
I'm not here to flame but seem that a new game in the town give us all we asked for and dreamed for DBD.
Even slug is not possible ...
I always asked myself WHY the hell we have to be hooked 3 times like "how much lives do we have in real life ? i know it's a game but does not make sense".
Finally fun and objectives. God so satisfying.

Regarding killers, well they don't know how to balance.

This. I play chase Merchant and enjoy playing her that way, but ultimately I just want her issues to be addressed even if that means sacrificing her current chase playstyle. Maybe BHVR will prove me wrong but I don’t think she can really be fixed without a major rework of her power. 3-gen Merchant is absolutely insufferable and I’m still baffled that she was even released in the state she was.
Do NOT understimate BHVR.

Because the game is stale, same history:
Gen 24/7 -> You have 99% gen and then the teamate dies next with jolt -> Scourge: Pain in the ... -> Gen back to 60% -> You get chased and nobody does nothing -> Rinse and repeat untill you get some good teamates which is pretty rare.
There is a new similar game which you do your job and can exit without rellying on ppl doing totems/chests while you do the objectives almost alone ( i have several games which i made 3, sometimes 4 gens alone)
I quit dbd for almost a year (just came back for aniversary and event) and i will do it again not because of another game but because it's frustrating and boring state.
Yeah i play dbd since release.

If Blight get nerfed, the tryhards are not going to make their 4k comp game anymore. (Including my dog which mains Blight btw)

I don't use 3rd party like Reshade.
But if someone do that's def not their fault because any game in the market has at LEAST a bright/gamma option in the very beginning of the game (guide) and after in the options.
Summary:
It's the game fault that don't have any light/filter/gamma etc option to increase/decrease for like 7 years ...

3 - 3gen every match even Nurses are holding 3gen which is very weird because how broken she is ...
4 - Useless teamates (yes always have Bond, you can see those crouching/teabaging/following you and bringing nothing to the match)
5 - Onryo allowed to kill without any hook cuz players don't get a tape and then match is over for you and other teamates.
6 - Trash servers after years of game life ... even small games have better connections. They are all low tier AWS virtual servers so yeah ... trash servers. Who knows maybe on 20th aniversary we get better servers.
I do my part
- buy skins
- buy passes
- buy coins
But that will end at some point.

So nice i guess BHVR gave us another job to do beside gens ... wait on the ground for 10 minutes.
PS: It's not SWF it's just DUO with a friend while the other was lauching.

We are already on 7 years game and the Servers are still cheap.
So maybe on 20th aniversary they will fix that :D

Hag and Trapper can control generators well.
Other killers are just 3gening since the start. I've notice that a toon of times they drop even hurt chases to back to 3gen.
For SoloQ it's a pain.
For SWF is hard but possible.
But guess what ? The balance of the game go focused on SWF with comms and they are very very rare.
SoloQ is better right now but almost unplayable with smaller maps, gens almost side by side, no VoIP, lot of unsafe pallets that even the dumbest mindgame catch the unexperienced survivor.
IMO who needs to run a match and watch is not me ...

Except Nurse goes through objects, hits you literally everywhere, pallets and windows don't mean anything against her, her cooldowns are lower than Wesker's, she doesn't care about elevation and will always catch up by taking the shortest route. Wesker is nowhere near Nurse's power level. Not by a long shot.
I'd also argue that Wesker's skill ceiling is higher than Nurse's. Once you get the muscle memory down and manage to flick correctly there really isn't much to learn with her anymore. Wesker on the other hand is more complex. There are things like Hug Tech, Urobend and the Rebound Tech as well as M1 killer mindgames, triangle dashes and learning how to play around different structures.

Maybe that's why so many ppl quiting vs him or 4king with him easily.

Yes and the worst part is it seems to be the only and a low tier one server.
I watch streams from EU and USA and they are very different you can even see or tell when the killer will hit.
Here they just hit you and you barely see the animation (except for the video i linked)

If you pause the vídeo, you can see i have 146ms (usually although i run 30-ish on my fiber internet)
But that's not the issue, because even with 32ms i got hit after pallets, vaults etc.
