My question is more so towards to how would the system tell if they are using comms.
No way of knowing, that's not the point. The point is that SWF voice communications severely weaken any killer. Because of such potential, and most people abuse it, SWF groups should suffer a penalty.

how would you tell if someone is using comms? what stops someone from using an app on their phone instead?
It's quite obvious when you have as many hours as I do which groups are telling each other where killers are. Most SWF groups do that, and just because half of those groups are either terrible or just okay doesn't mean that it isn't completely disadvantageous to the killer. I am a person that likes fairness for all. I currently play with 2 others and I think that with the stuff we do with our mics it would be fair for us to lose one perk. So a group of 3 loses one perk per person and a group of 4 loses 2 perks per person. I feel like that is the best place to start. This isn't HALO 4v4, this is 1v4 in a game where clearly you aren't meant to know what every survivor is doing as well as where the killer is at all times.
-
Highly unlikely that more than 4% of SWF groups play without telling each other information that hurts the killers chances and enjoyment of his fun. Using voice comms is detrimental to the killer and we all know it. You people's logic is "well, find a way to get better and deal with it!". That isn't even logic, it's just insanity. You are without knowing admitting that SWF voice squads are complete and utter bullcrap, but you can DEAL with it by playing harder and choosing different killers! LOL what are you? 5?
-
So you buff solo players and then what? The killers still have to deal with the enormous bullcrap that is SWF with voice comms. Why do thousands of you continue to be this dishonest? I have over 2K hours in this game. After I hit the 2K hour mark I finally started playing SWF with 2 people. We use voice comms all the time now, we don't try at all to play NAVY SEAL squad and we tear most killer apart by just giving away his position throughout the whole match. Poor killer, I know how that feels. More than half my games as killer are that game that I do now. It's obvious when people are telling each other where the killer is. If you losers think that is is fair then you are people lacking in ethics. SWF groups should get penalized some. Unless you sweet angels are going to claim that it does nothing for you to use voice comms other than get giggles with your friends......oh wait, of course you are.

It's pretty obvious everyone attacking the matchmaking and/or defending SWF are the kind of people that do this obvious game breaking cheating. They also can't stand it when they are called cheaters and go to great lengths to "convince" themselves and whoever is reading that it isn't. Any good SWF will run circles around killers. I have over 2K hours in this game. It is exactly when I hit 2K hours that I now play with 2-3 friends since they got the game not too long ago. We have done around 25 matches together now and I have a 100% survival rate with them. The other two have only died once or twice which leaves them at over 94% survival rate. I wonder why that is? Oh right it's because we are telling each other everywhere the killer is and isn't. Never without SWF have I escaped 25 times in a row lol. That is just broken and extremely abusive. I do agree that SWF is really fun after all, but things need to be done for killer. Give the killer a boost of speed, more perks, or subtract perks from survivors when grouping.

It's very common at lvl 50
No it isn't. Why lie like this?
-
There isn't a way to deal with them. You have to hope that you get some mediocre SWF group and that is all one can do. 4 good survivors will almost always defeat a killer, even a good killer.
-
Oh I wish they got rid of the stupid map offerings. Or I would like the option to discard items from the loadout. I hate having 100 mist bottles too.
-
I don't get it, do the devs think that unless they grind us into dust that we won't keep playing? I don't see any other reason for making these offerings so rare. Yeah the web has been filled with mostly garbage for months now. Why aren't more people complaining about this?
-
As a strictly solo survivor I am not bored by generators, they are a bit of a thrill which is fun. Since I don't know where the killer is or where he could come from. Every time I am working on a generator I am just hoping things go smoothly. When it's done it's a good feeling, I feel I have helped the team. SWF voice cheaters(they all do it) however can't possibly experience that, they are laughing at the killer the whole time. What's there to be nervous about when you know he ain't coming for you, then and only then do gens get "boring". I'd be pretty bored just holding M1 if that is all there was to it. No danger, no killer, no sense of urgency, just a hold M1 simulator(literally).

The killer is supposed to be Shin Akuma and the survivors Dans. It's not like that at all, the killer is just Akuma and the survivors are Ryus. The SWF people all want to be as powerful as the killer or at the very least almost as powerful. Their tiny brains can't understand or just won't admit that they are supposed to be ants compared to the killer. It's as if they don't realize that it's four of them and only one killer. Of course they do know this, but it's just that they want easy mode to punk the killer. Too many games where one gen gets done before you even find someone. Too many games where three gens get finished in under four minutes. The way a single survivor can wreck a killer is proof that killer role is powerless. That would be acceptable if the game was 1v1 or even 2v1, but it's 1v4 and that should just not be a thing. 4 perks versus 16 perks! What the F! It's even worse when it's 12 or 16 perks on voice chat. The devs know their audience, its SWF. Killers should get 6 perks, or SWF groups should get less. It's not like the killers perks are something like 200% running speed every 30 seconds. No the killer and survivor perks are equally as powerful, yet they get 16 of them lol. I have over 1300 hrs in this game with 900 being solo survivor. I feel like my games as survivor are mostly fun for killer. The other 400 hrs are as killer and man what a difference it is. My games as killer are plagued with abusive SWF voice comm punks. It's so easy to tell when these soy loaded weasels are telling each other all the killers whereabouts. Then they act all innocent and "GG EZ" you at end, pretending they are that good and not further destroying the fairness of the game.
-
Gens get done way too fast. These SWF people just want to continue bullying killers while having the game on easy mode. Most of them are already legally cheating using voice communication. But as with everything else these dishonest survivors are dishonest about everything. They even say there's "toxic" killers! How can that even be? It's 1 of them and 4 of you. There's games where gens are done before you even find a single one of them! And don't say that doesn't happen, we all run into that scenario at least once a day. There's this guy here or maybe more that are hung up on "gens can't get done in 30 seconds". Here is something that does happen endlessly, 3 gens often do get finished in less than 4 minutes. The biggest proof in that this game is seriously survivor sided is that as survivor you are having a blast even when you aren't punking the killer with your SWF. As killer is quite the opposite, stress from start to finish. My last 3 games as killer i got 2 hooks in each game only! Why it was like those survivors knew exactly where i was and was going to at all times.
-
I agree all we have is modern beta soy boy "men" and mostly butch ugly modern women. Kate was ruined by grotesque tattoos all over her. Can we get some sane looking survivors for once?
-
There should be no hatch. The game is 4v1 and if you are the last one left why should you be rewarded as if it had been a 1v1 all along? SWF try hards are the only ones that want this game to be a bully the killer sim.
-
Ahhh I'm glad I am not alone in this. That Jake scream is the worst, what the hell is that? It sounds like a demonic cat. It's worse when you are killer because you got to wack them upon hooking them, thus wasting 3 seconds every time. DEvs please do something about this.
-
Survivors got the developers by the balls. How bout nerfing SWF to 1 less perk for each in a group?
-
No more killer nerfs dude. You act like this game isn't a bully the killer sim. When we get at least 6 killers that are viable in all ranks then maybe you can complain.
-
I don't know what "slugging" is but keep doing it.
It's 1 person vs. 4 people
It's 4 perks(lol) vs 16 perks(ROFL)
It's 1 person thinking vs. a couple communicating
So yeah I say anything killers do is fair.
-
Using voice comms in this game is cheating. This isn't 4v4 Call of Duty where everyone is the same. I cannot believe people use such an absurd example. I have over 1200 hrs in this game and about 800 of those are solo survivor. I have played SWF about 20-50 hours with my 2 brothers. Everytime I have played with them I tell them that I don't wanna hear anything that is detrimental to the killer. One of them hates it so much that he now refuses to play with me. The other is more like me and acknowledges just how unfair it is to play like that.
I do understand that playing SWF is super fun. There is a simple way to balance SWF without screwing solo survivors. It's a suggestion I have seen a few times from other players on several different forums. Subtract 1 perk for every person in your SWF group but only for the people in the group. So a 3 man SWF squad can only have 2 perks each, and a 4 man SWF squad only 1 perk each. Survivors got to stop pretending that using voice comms to give away the location of the killer is somehow not cheating and just "not balanced".
I can see how bad my brother wrecks killers with his friends while telling each other every single thing the killer is doing. It's not even funny anymore, how is that someone's idea of fun?
-
Ghostface, I hate that little midget with no heartbeat. Those T-bag a ton for some reason.
-
I am with you on this. I play both and have over 1000 hours in this game. I don't give a damn if my favorite perks change. I just adapt and the game has always been a blast. There is one perk however that I would love to see go away and that is 'Borrowed Time'. I hate that perk, it's very frustrating on a SWF group.
-
Yeah Plauge is super weak, if you face off against the usual SWF voice comm suspects, she doesn't stand a chance.
-
Miaasma you are either guilty of what he mentioned or you think you are better than you are. Information is everything in this game. A team made up of just okay and mediocre players with voice comm is far more difficult to deal with than four good solo survivors.
