why don’t we just nerf all the aura perks instead? Distortion is literally the only counter to extremely strong aura perks.
-
real, i cant play one game without meta perks no matter which role i play. If i try to goof around i just lose when the killer tunnels or survivors genrush and tbag at gates

I mean would you rather an anti-loop killer, which makes for exciting chases or snooze killers focused around slowing down gens?
this new killer can still run full gen slowdown build to slow down gens and still have a tremondous chase potential. How fun is that?
Chases aren’t that exciting anymore and guess why? Because the fun part, mindgames are gone. Now it’s all about luck and the killer getting questionable hits over pallets and windows with not much counterplay. This new killer was way too much chase power and on top of that he can even fly to travel the map? This is hilarious, but also very sad.If they make the game unfun to play for survivors, it’s no wonder there are insane amounts of DCs and people giving up on hooks. I personally cannot play survivor at all anymore because 1/10 games do i actually have fun and a decent chance of winning. I switched to playing only killers like plague and slinger, because it gives a fair chance for both me and survivors to win, although i still enjoy other games much more than dbd. It’s sad because this used to be my favorite game

what changes??

Sounds like you haven't played killer a day in your life. You get bodyblocked by a ds survivor in a door just ignore them right just go find another survivor across the map who's likely hiding now. These are all used as time wasters that don't cost map resources to pull off.
i started playing a lot of killer like half a year-year ago after all the survivor nerfs. I rarely have ever got stunned by ds because i dont tunnel and if i have to, i leave the survivor on the ground. And what do you mean bodyblocked by a survivor with ds in a door? Ds doesnt work after last gen is done. Sounds like you haven’t played survivor a day in your life. Ds is rarely effective at all and a waste of perk slot unless the killer decides to focus you.
Slugging for map pressure mid game or protecting gens instead of tunneling isn’t a waste of time.

It leads to being used offensively.
Now it means that, if you are being tunneled, you are fine, because, in theory, you should be going down near some structure or pallet or something, you DS, and you have time to get there.
But at 5 seconds, you could just body block in a corner of the map dead zone and have enough time to run to the opposite end of the map.
@tyantlmumagjiaonuha said:
If you consider where to run after activating DS and choose a place to knock down, even a 3 second stun was effective against the majority of killers.
I think the reason why it was raised to 5 second stun was because there were too many survivors who would just go down in a position with no objects, activate DS, and just run straight without thinking. That's what I felt.
I think BhBR should inform players about what kind of perks/items/add-ons have what kind of values and effects, and give lectures on how to use them, before adjusting the perk values.
In particular, he said that he buffed it because he wanted people to realize that it can be used for sabotage with this Toolbox update, but if they were made aware of it in the first place, there would be no need for buffs, and even if they were buffed, they would not be able to use it in the game description or on BhVR's SNS. Rough players who don't read it will remain unaware.
okay but.. just dont tunnel? Try to patrol gens and go for other survivors? When exit gates are powered tunneling is understandable, and killers dont need to worry about ds.
If the survivor plays offensively with ds, that means they aren’t doing anything useful for the team in the whole 1 minute and the killer can just down them and leave on the ground for pressure and go for other survivors, or come back and pick them up when ds is gone.
-
Additionally, people think perk that activates for 60 seconds and has a 5 second stun is too effective and OTR having 80 second endurance is not? This does not make any sense
-
Been playing plague a lot recently, and i noticed blast mine also cancels the power. Was it always like that? I thought only pallet stuns get rid of her power..
-
Wait what’s this
-
Yeah i had a match as plague in Hawkins, i was teleporting back like 5 meters occassionally and the survivors were running still for a few seconds, allowing me to catch up and down them. This was not an issue on my side because my ping was fine, and in the endgame chat all the survivors stated they were lagging. I played more and it happened again more or less.
Also in one of badham’s houses there is a pallet upstairs with a bed next to it, i could get on top of the bed and ignore the loop lol and there are so many other new bugs that others have already made threads of.Are the devs even aware of this? The game is kinda unplayable
-
Freddy, Hag, Artist, Twins, Ghostface
-
Dislike playing against Michael and nemmy but dull merchant and chucky is fun?? Wow okay
-
It’s probably a money thing. Forcing you to make a new account if you’re switching platforms so that you have to buy the DLC/characters and cosmetics again. Many other online games have cross progression so i dont know why dbd can’t
-
Adrenaline isn’t that good. I rarely even see it used in my matches, its value is very situational and after the nerf it will be a waste of perk slot when you could use a perk that gives value through the whole match, and not once when all 5 gens are complete.
And at least in solo queue you will die most of the time before the exit gates are even powered
-
More bloodpoint events. And remove map offerings from the game, that’s all i can think of
-
Yeah no, i agree with Ilikechips, they just dont fit in dbd because in reality they would just kill the killers. Same with the AOT skins, like come on, Mikasa and Levi would easily just kill the killer

Not all matches are bad so I try to remember the good ones and let the bad ones go but if you are not having fun at all you should stop playing altogether.
So far today I have been hard tunnelled out of the two matches I have played so far, so not exactly a fun experience either. But I try to take the good with the bad otherwise I will not be having fun at all and I would quit myself.
i thought about quitting and uninstalling the game, but then i remember how i used to love playing it and how fun it was before. I’m probably just obsessed with the game because i can’t stop playing even though it’s bad for my mental health.
First and last game today and it was a hacking trapper, died with 0 bp within less than 10 seconds and the game considered it a DC, i got a dc timer and decided to just close the game before i can play more and have my day ruined lol
-
I’ve been playing SM for achievements and old tomes recently, and 3-4kd every single game and a lot of the time there were DCs or hook suicides. The cooldown for placing and recalling drones is way too short in my opinion. Hacking drones doesn’t do much when i can just recall it and place a new one. She needs a full rework

Yeah, as Killer I also bring Cakes and BPS. Because I usually end up with a bunch of BPs, even if I dont win the game. But as Survivor you get just tunneled out early, have minimal BP und the Killer can basically farm at this point, because they won anyway when it is an early 3v1.
IMO it would help if Party Streamers and Event Cakes just give 200% Bonus-BPs to the person using it while everyone else still gets the 100% Bonus-BPs. Getting triple BPs might motivate more people to use them.
True, as survivor it often feels like a waste to bring BPS and event cakes because if you get tunneled out of the game, or killer slugs, you don’t get much points anyway. I only bring these if i’m playing with friends
-
Yeah, if they reverted the BBQ change i’m sure there would be a bit less tunneling too. I don’t see why it was a problem in the first place
-
True, i mean how can people be so soft in a game with brutal killing and blood? Yesterday for me it filtered the word ”kiitos” and all the alternatives of it meaning thanks in finnish.
-
So now that we have nerfed all the great survivor perks, we have to start nerfing the decent ones? The very situational perks?
-
Survivors keep getting garbage content. I die most of the time in solo queue. Switched to killer

I would actually enjoy playing killer more if it felt more challenging and I had to sweat to get a 3 or 4k. I shouldn't have to make up arbitrary rules for myself like I'm not going to tunnel, camp or even regress gens just to make it feel more fair for the survivors.
This is so true. I never tunnel in my games and make sure to hook everyone twice before killing them and still i get 3-4ks 80% of the time

I have never heard of anyone who made such statements actually turning into a killer and enjoying killer heaven.
On the other hand, the Lights Out event, which was very unpopular with Survivors, was enjoyed by even killer players as Survivors. This tells the whole truth.
Killer has always felt a bit boring for me personally which is why i preferred playing survivor. I used to enjoy being chased and helping teammates, but it just isn’t the same anymore. After the huntress changes and everything else i am done playing survivor, at least solo.
I’ve been playing killer recently (mostly legion, slinger, piggy and nurse) and even though im not very experienced at it, i’m getting easy 3-4ks most games against p100 survivors.. i thought playing nurse would be very difficult but turns out it’s not that bad. It’s relatively easy as i dont have to care about loops. At least it feels rewarding to make successful blink attacks and successful hits as slinger, but most of the other killers are very boring and i don’t feel good for getting downs and kills. It feels almost granted. Killer shouldn’t get 4k that often and that easily.
Where did you see killer players enjoying lights out as a survivor? It seems a bit weird since everyone was saying they just got tunneled every match for not having anti tunnel perks. I tried a few games myself hoping it would be fun and more horror-like and then just gave up on it

and unfortunately they are nerfing adrenaline and ftp + bu. survivors dont have anything fun or even useful anymore
Are they? Adrenaline has been in the game since the very beginning and it’s never been an issue. If they nerf them i’m never playing survivor again
-
Sable isn’t goth. Smh
-
Welp it’s time to become a killer main. Playing killer is now easier than ever while playing survivor is just too miserable
-
Facts. 9/10 of my survivor games in this game mode i had a tunneling killer. Most games were also legion, completely taking away the immersion and ruining the fun of the game mode
-
Skill issue if you leave when the game is the easiest for killers than it has ever been. And hey did u know u can look at a wall to avoid being blinded? :)
-
Whenever a survivor perk or feature is nerfed, killer mains will compain about another one. It never ends until survivors start the game on hooks.
-
Kinda like killers hate looping, flashlights, medkits, and survivors just trying to do the literal main objective.
-
Welp, time to abuse the killer
-
I miss old dbd too back then killer win felt rewarding and with survivor genrushing wasnt the only way to win

And you completely missed the point, it's not about harder to win but more STRESSFUL to play with micromanaging, keeping attention on half a dozen things simultaneously and non stop action , not the good kind but the "zero time to breath kind".
Step of the gas as killer and the match is over before you know it.
It is as if you play lol non stop Teamfights. No Backport, no shopping, no back to lane.
Like i said, dont take it so personally. Its only stressful if you let it be.

...Huh?
- They did not remove depips.
- Rank doesn't exist anymore.
- Grade is mostly a test of luck and how much you play. It does not correspond to skill.
- MMR is what determines matchmaking/skill, and that number is invisible.
What? Since when? I took a break but idk last time i played there was ranks and my friend told me you cant depip anymore
-
But what about guarding 3gens as killer and refusing to take chases? I've had games like these last for almost an hour, with the killer not downing anyone and just camping the 3gen with all the gen regression perks, such as overcharge.. its very annoying and should be considered the same thing as survivors hiding. Both are a problem
-
This is a problem since they removed depips. Like now everyone can be a rank 1, even new players so no wonder
-
How do some people STILL think playing killer is somehow hard/exhausting? If you are serious, id recommend trying different killers/builds or just switching to a different game. You have to take a mindset that its not that serious, and you do lose too because yu cant expect to win at all times in multiplayer games. Dont expect to 4k all the time and dont take it personally if you lose.
I personally have switched from survivor almost entirely to playing only killer in the past year, and i am enjoying playing mostly pig and ghostface, and literally easy merciless killer on most of my matches. I do get genrushed sometimes, but its honestly very rare. By playing more and trying different killers and builds im sure you will get the idea at some point.

@Wampirita said:
you don't, really.
It only gets worse the better you become, and start facing survivors that will absolutely obliterate you and will make sure to send you an entire list on how to off yourself.
There will be times where you'll have games that won't leave you anxious, but you'll be put back to your place like next match.
You could always learn top tier killers that will give you a win most of the times, but then you won't have much satisfaction from game.
My personal solution is to not play many matches at once, play one, take a break for like an episode of your favorite show, play another. Value your mental health :D
Why are you spreading negativity? Playing killer is quite easy when you learn to loop correctly. And it is also fun for the majority of players, just because you dont like it doesnt mean you should discourage others.

@GoodBoyKaru said:
Maybe because Knight's power is a handicap and he's horrifically boring to play as and to face, to the point where it somehow feels better to play Trapper than him?
Just a possibility
Uff i enjoy trapper D: i mean i hate going against him because its so stressful, but playing as him has been fun lately. U just have to place traps in places that arent very obvious and its kinda fun when they keep stepping in my 1000iq traps lol
-
Skill issue lol
-
Then why do i and most players have no problem getting a 3-4k every game with the knight, or almost every killer in game? i guess ur having a skill issue, maybe try to practice looping and mindgames against bots first? There is a custom game mode, where you can add bots ans practice with them. Its very rare to get any godlike survivor teams against u, even in high ranks. Or watch some youtube videos of good players playing the knight and try to adapt instead of complaining here you didnt get another nurse level killer and that you actually have to use ur brain when playing him? Sure he's not a god tier killer, but the killer isnt a problem, it is your problem for not playing him correctly..

Killers when survivors bring perks into a trial:
-
Why do people take everything so personally in this game
-
Agree. Spies from the shadows is also very underrated, been using it occasionally and its so helpful

Compare that with Pop Goes Weasel, they thought 60 seconds of "kick time" was too much but oh give a surv invincibility for almost 2 minutes
The survivor does not become invicible. The killer can just hit them once and the endurance is gone. Also deactivates when doing a gen or anything
-
@Seraphor said:
80s is just insane for Endurance. 30 seconds tops.
So just hit the survivor and the endurance is gone? Also maybe go after the unhooker? How do people really think its op in any way? Smh. It literally also deactivates when touching a gen, healing etc. Its not like the survivor will have immunity for the next 80 seconds.
-
@[Deleted User] said:
OTR is op, Self-Care got nerfed too hard, and CoH is going to be even worse of a problem since they aren't doing anything about it.
Care to explain what makes OTR so op?
-
It's because other playstyles are now impossible or too difficult. The only way to win is to rush gens as fast as possible. Chases aren't about skill or mindgames at all anymore, sadly. They often end too quickly, because of questionable, unfair hits over windows or pallets, or killer just spammed his antiloop power to get you and there's absolutely nothing the survivor can do to prevent it. So naturally survivors would have to do generators very fast, most of the time.
