Lol, I am not dumb. I just play differently to you. We don't all play the same way. I have a different way of thinking and in games like DbD it tends to pay off.
I am not saying I win every game. I fact that past week or two I have been on a bit of a losing streak. But that's OK. I still get 20K + blood points which is more than I get as a survivor -
There should be some sort of bonus BP for No Mither I wouldn't say double. And it does fit into David's, High risk/High reward play style.
No mither is already hard to run, might as well give a bonus as a way of tipping our hats off to those that a brave enough or stupid enough to do it. -
I wouldn't say that would be worth it. The idea I'd being able to stun a killer wherever they are would break the game.
I would say having a bigger speed boost to cover more ground, something perhaps similar but just short of a sprint burst might be a better way to go. Right now Dead hard only buys you a best an extra 3-4 seconds -
Freddy, no. Not keen on him, I am not a fan of being invisible to survivors and having the smallest audio range. Seems like a crutch if you ask me.Steebear said:@jakeb_1993 said:

Assume this is another troll post? No-one that has played high rank killer for any length of time would classify it as 'easy' so perhaps stump up some information about what killer and perks you are using so we can bask in your amazingness. As you find it so easy I guess you never use Ruin and only use Freddy and the Wraith to make it a little harder no?
The wraith I quite like. You have to be careful when you time the in cloak not to give them too much time to run, but that is when you use your positioning to corner them off.
The hag is good too. Place traps where they don't expect it and watch them panic. I don't use Ruin no. I use map control instead, corner them into gen kill box and kill Em of slowly.
Killers need to stop thinking that 4K 5 Gen should be their birthright. If I ever get 4K it's usually when one gen is left or the exit gates are powered. -
I find it easier toget ranks as a killer. Most games as the killer I double pip, whereas a survivor I struggle to get a pip, mainly I am fighting not to depip.
And yes all chainsaw welders should get a debuff. They both for starters shouldn't go so far, the distance I can close with them is silly. I don't even need to aim, just rev go and shoot. Plus they should have the equalivant of a pallet stun after using the chainsaw. It should be a tactical use ability designed to punish survivors who corner themselves. -
I just love how everyone on here is like "hit boxes aren't the same therefore killers can't take the small length as a survivor"
Come on, they aren't that far out. The speed increase is still way more than enough to compensate. Just because two people escape, doesn't mean you can get all salty.
For them game to be much fairer the killers need some pretty hefty nerfs. The pallets need fixing so this bs where you score a stun but still get hit needs fixing, not to mention all the bs hits where the attack misses but still gets classed as a hit. The doctor needs his treatment mode changing to distance rather than terror radius to stop these idiots who think it is funny to have the entire map as their madness zone. I have played as a high rank killer and find it way too easy.
The chainsawers need their speed reducing when using their chainsaws. I could go on. Killers have it far too easy at the moment. It's almost laughable. And for those saying that the game needs to be balanced for rank 1 is rubbish. Most players aren't at rank 1. The game should be balanced for rank 10. Skill is what causes rank increases then. -
The number of pallets has already been reduced, so the OP question is more of a "You were playing it wrong" than actually being valid.
And the wraith and LF are perfectly viable killers. LF needs a major nerf to his chainsaw and the wraith has the fastest movement speed of any killer.
If survivor are looping you, then break and hit gens, coral them into 'Gen killboxes' play mind games with them that way. Very easy to do if you set it up right -
Exactly. This game is so balanced overwhelmingly in the killers favour it is borderline stupid. Because Killers don't have everything given to them on a silver platter they start moaning at everything.jiminie said:Are you aware pallets have been reduced and they fixed/fixing infinites. Also, stop trying to mindgame Survivors if you're not good at it, especially when the Survivor you're chasing is better than you, like i know, you want bloodlust and all that stuff, but...
'gaining BL 1/2/3...proceeds to break the pallet' some killers just mind blown themselves
-
It only happens if you let it happen. If you are there chasing someone around a loop for 80 seconds, who is the real idiot? Killers need to learn better map control and learn to pick their battles. If you play correctly you can get a good 4K, everyone gets over 18000 bloodpoints and no one depips.BasementLeatherBoi said:@jakeb_1993 said:
At since this forum is 98% killer, this is going to hurt you alot. There is no such thing as looping or an infinite loop. It is mathematically impossible. Let me break down nice and easy for you:
Lets say that a survivor has a base speed of 'n'
Since killers are faster we will say that the killers speed is 'n+1'
Given that they are both running around the same obstacle the length of 'l' is the same for both killers and survivors.
Since they both cover the same ground 'n+1=l' occurs before 'n=l'
This doesn't even begin to cover bloodlust which adds 'an extra +1 to speed for all three tiers resulting in +4'
So what about Windows?
Since survivors rarely go through the vaults at full speed and the fact hat killers can lunge attack through the vaults then looping is impossible. Either one of two things will happen: the survivor gets hit and then sprints away or the survivor successful vaults and the attack misses (Rarely happens due to broken hit boxes and whatnot but that's another argument for another day).
Plus if a survivor really wants to 'loop' a window then they can only loop twice before getting shut off. So again. Not a valid argument.
So onto Pallets:
Pallets disrupt 'l' to slow the killer down.and yes, technically it is possible to run around and cause a semi-permaent loop. I say semi cause here is the thing: You can break pallets. Shock horror. So looping around pallets for 'infinite' is impossible.
Please just stop getting salty over the fact that you keep losing mind games to survivors. If you keep running in one direction you will catch them or they will break the loop. Simples. Not hard. I break them all the time. I would say 'Git Gud' like you say to everyone else on here, but tbh I think for you salty lot on these forums 'good' is a bit of a stretch of your abilities.
You realize the loops don’t have to be infinite right? With enough pallet loops semi infinite is enough to last until all gens are done.
Killers on here get salty that they get outsmarted and don't get their precious 4K. Then they blame the game when the it is stacked in their favour so much. They just like to think the survivors are over powered cause they aren't good enough to win.
Sorry about the rant, but after reading several threads today, I am fed up of the level of incompetence from the killers on this forum -

Nah, LF is way too overpowered with his chainsaw as is. If anything he needs nerfing more. He moves way to fast while swinging the chainsaw and can move far too easily with it. Slow down his speed while swinging and it makes it way more balanced.
At least with the Billy you have to have some skill in using your chainsaw, LF it's just rev and off you go, kill 2people during an unhook. -
Killers already have the speed advantage Why buff their speed anymore?
-
I play both sides too.
There are hits I have gotten on survivors which I know is pure BS. And I can see you are already starting to say that its my fault? How is it? I can't control when I get into a chase, if a killer find me as a survivor they find me. I also just tried your any direction hint and the killer did a complete 360 while in a lunge and got me. So it just doesn't work. This is a bs exploit tat ruins chases for both survivors and killers. -
I am not sure it would be. Killers can still pull off the hitting people on the other side of a pallet/vault despite already being on the other side and moving.Orion said:This would make lunges completely worthless. Literally just move in any direction and the lunge will miss 100% of the time.
It would still function. Just causes Killers to think more before they strike. Right now with all the hit boxes being broken and Killers getting hit when the game lags or clearly missed, I think this is a fair balance. -
The wraith isn't weak.... And Myers is overpowered. Leather face has his one-shot chainsaw.
You are joking right? -
Okay, I do not know how many times I have to say this... I am not talking reinstating the old fast vaulting by default. I am suggesting having it so you can hold the vault button to easily transition into a medium speed vault. That way there is no idiocy where the game sometimes let's you transition and then the next time decides to make you hit the wall then do it.
You are just being an idiot now for the point listed above. You are deliberately being a trollWolf74 said:Everything works as intended.

I dont really think there is an issue here. The killer can grab people going into the Hatch.
If you really wanna try something, then try having the Hatch cast exposed within a 6 metre radius when the door is opened. But as I said before, I don't see it as an issue really
The issue is that the killer can only wait for the grab, because if he swings for an injury, the survivor can escape during the cooldownanimation.
That creates a dumb stand off that favors the survivor.
And why do survivor have a safe net in case 3 people die?
I don't see a safe net for killer, that give an immediate one shot plus mori after 3 already escaped?
The point of the Hatch is to e sure that there is always a valid way for a survivor to escape. You are just being salty cause you think you deserve 4K in every match.
The Hatch isn't a safety net it's a alterative option. Just like killers have the option to kill survivors if they want to with the right offerings/perks.
Can you read?
Like serious… please show me where I said something about 4Ks? especially every match.
I talked about killer don't have a gamemechanic to give them the chance for a mercykilling in case 3 already escaped. You logic is… flawed… maybe even downright stupid... because you try to compare a gamemechanic that is for free with killers ability to have offerings or perks to mori survivor, but they PAID for it, by spending the slot or the offering.
Hatchmechanic is always there and the survivor do not have to invest anything into getting it.Sorry, but your post is biased beyond believe.
You want to tell me that I am a salty and entitled killer main but show off that you have either no clue about the game or are promoting unbalance in favor of survivor just on purpose.
You have to have at least 2 gens online for it to appear in the first place. So survivors have to work for it to some degree. It's not some freebie. And killers don't need any more buffs. For survivors it's all about escaping anyway you can. -
So whether I vault or not should be decided on whether or not the game decides to give me the pop up early or late???? That is flawedWolf74 said:@jakeb_1993 said:
Wolf74 said:What you describe is the OLD vaulting system, that was nerfed for balance reasons.

Okay, you seem to have missed my point here. I am saying add it so that vaults transition easier so we don't get penalised because the system doesn't register we want to vault until we are right ontop of the window and coming to a standstill.
And you seem to miss my point: That's how it was earlier and it was changed for a reason, survivor vaulted way to fast and way to easy.
And I hope it will never com back, because it is stupid that every survivor runs and jumps like Jackie Chan. -

I don't think that SC should be removed from the game. Or needs a major debuff for that matter. I can see why killers get frustrated by it, but then again there are things that frustrate survivors that killers do.
I think the key here is not to limit the number of uses but penalise multiple use. The first time you use SC. Runs at standard time. Second: +10%. Third: +25% Fourth: + 50%. Fifth and above: +100%.
I think that strikes a balance. Everyone gets a standard heal. The second is simply a token penalty, but still a penalty. But three and above... That's where it starts to hurt to rely on it. -
And there we go, another match, 4k, they got down to one gen because I was off the ball a little bit still got 4kills in 15minutes. No hook camping needed.
Remind me how killers aren't OP again? -
OK, firstly.
I play as survivor and killer and have level 50s in both. And your logic so doesn't stand. What you don't see is the fact that yes unhooking and healing have X amount of time, but you haven't factored in the fact that they will most likely run to somewhere safe to heal costing them more time.
It's OK, just admit your a bad killer and we can all move on. -
@Dwight_Confusion
I am not acting like the entitled one. You are.
Your whole post was basically along the lines of "If I know they are going to be unhooked I will just sit there"
You are the problem. What you should be doing is: Okay, I know someone is nearby, so I am going to leave the hook and while they waste time unhooking and healing, they aren't doing gens, that gives me time to hit them, damage them and cost them progress. I have already hooked them once, so I will just get them again.
Seriously. Killers think they are hot.... But no, they are not. They have tunnel vision, get sloppy by just focusing on chases and hooks then moan they lose the game. I just did a killer game now. Focused on gens, not survivors, I got 4K and only 2 gens were repaired. I just bidded my time until I knew I had them. Maybe you should try it sometime rather than hook camp, it's quite refreshing. -
I am not biased or a noob, I have been playing this long enough. If the game was survivor biased then the killer would be slower, the doctors power would be nerfed, all the killers wouldn't have bullshit abilities and you wouldn't be able to hit people on the otherwise of a pallet or change attack direction. Please, this is clerly biased towards the killer.
-
Oh also, in those matches the minimum blood pints we leave is 15000 and that is for killers and survivors. We all have a good match.
-
@RuneStarr
I want to say I believe you, but I don't. I can easily win a match as a killer against rank ones because I change the way I play, I focus on dragging the game out by damaging generators, not getting into chases with survivors and making them fear going near the gens.
As time goes on and the gens come online they are left with less options, and they make more mistakes, and then I get them. I always win, I get my prey in the end but I am patient. Most killers just bolt at the first survivor they see, then moan that they were gen rushed. Like gee. What we you doing for most the match? Chasing survivors, then you wonder why? -
@holywhitetrash
That is where you are wrong. Killing is a secondary objective. To win you need to stop them escaping so you can kill... So you go for the generators first. I played several games yesterday where I did that I focused on generators, damaged them, never got into chases. I saw them. I knew where they were but I just kept scaring them away.
Eventually as the gens slowly came on online I tightens the noose, they made mistakes, and one by one I scooped them up. I got 4k in all games but one where the survivor had found the hatch, hats off to them for that.
The second part of this is gen rushing doesn't exist, its just a numbers game:
At the start of the game there are 8 gens that could be fixed, and only one killer. So naturally the killer can't be everywhere at once, so gens come online easy. If the killer is focused on survivors and not gens, then yes, 3 will come on quickly. As the game carries on the number of patrolled gens gets smaller and it becomes easier for the killer to patrol. This makes the survivors job harder creating a difficulty curve. The game the gets arguably easier when the exit gates are powered but I attribute that more to lick of the draw than actual skill. Its a 50/50 chance you pick the gate the killer isn't near. -
@Wolf74 cause it is considered unsporting to do so.
I don't want to survive every match. I am more than happy only winning half of my matches, but what I want to do is have a good chase where the killer doesn't pull any bs like lag or being able to walk through a pallet. Actually have a half decent shot of escaping a wiggle without having to bloody use DS. And then I am okay with losing.
Why to killer have to think they are entitled to four kills every match. You have speed advantages, you know where the generators and exit gates are at all time. You can also change your attack direction during a lunge??? You already have enough power. You just need to learn how to use it rather than being hookcamping scum cause you want to chain kills cause you can't tell everyone there is a hookcamping scum in the lobby.
This community is just downright toxic. The forum is just full of killers who believe the game should be balanced for them to farm 4k each match. It's pathetic. As I said before 2K2E should be the balance point, Along with it should be balanced for all ranks, not you rank 1 elitists. -
But by the same merit when I am playing as a survivor I am in most matches where not all 5 gens are done, so the game is wrong in the wrong direction.
I think killers just need weakening so chases are meaningful. I also think killers need to reminded that generators prevention is their goal not hooking survivors. -
Why would you want to body block anyway, the killer will always win in the end. I don't see it as an issue. Killer can hookcamp so survivors should be able to hook deny
-
Firstly @holywhitetrash just get out
Secondly @RuneStarr that's fine and dandy however if that is the case there needs to be a system in which the survivors can communicate the fact they are being hook camped asides from everyone rushing towards them only to feed a stupid killer more kills.
In that case as well the wiggle mechanics need to be looked at: 12 odd seconds to escape is ridiculous, given that the map is practically littered with hooks.
I want to love this game, but it is so woefully unbalanced in the killers favour. I don't mind losing matches as long as I have fun, but I can't have fun when we have hookcamping, overpowered killers who moan when they can't end every match with 4ks, the game should be balanced so that the average match ends with 2 sacrifices and 2 escapes
-
Clearly this is stupid. Unless you are in a sfw game and yo can tell your teammates stay away there is no tactic to deal with someone like that. That's just common sense.
Clearly the devs like making over powered killers. You can't break chases at all, you can't escape their grasp and there is a hook around every corner. At this rate there won't be a yo e left in the game to celebrate the end of year 3 -
True, but it takes alot more for four survivors to quit. There should be some protection regarding quitting, both for survivors and killers
-
Trust me, I am not inexperienced. I should have been rank 9ish by now if i hadn't lost pips due to camp hooking killers and other toxic practices.
Most matches I am in end as 4k, the fact I have played as the killer only a handful of times and got 4k on each one only helps show how broken the killers are.
Anyway, back on topic. Generators. I think the time is perfectly fine. At the start of the game, yes the generators should come online petty fast. The group is either spread out or together. So you either get one generator going really fast, or you get 4 generators coming on at a slower rate. Now given that there is 8 generators and 4 survivors if each survivor is working a generator then everytime you visit a generator at the start as a killer there is a 50/50 chance it is one being worked on as the survivor. If it is being worked then the survivor 'should' have hidden. But you will see the generator getting repaired.
Simply damage the generator and have a quick scan and move on. Keep doing it. I have managed in those handful of games to keep generators unfixed for 5 minutes because I am applying pressure. To me it seems more like a killer education issue than a game design issue. -
Yeah I do get the impression that Killers are stronger. I am in the 15-10 bracket and while I like the Increase in difficulty, I do find that this is at the expense of some nasty tricks, hook camping has become so much more prevalent on these ranks.
Generators time could be extended to make a longer game, but I think the wiggle timer needs to come down as there is far too many hooks on the map to be able to make it possible to do anything. 6 seconds of singing on my stick to the point it feels like it will break and I only get to roughly half way. Bear in mind that you always at least 5 seconds away from a hook. To me it seems the killers have the advantage. If they play the field right, don't fixate on survivors, I think you can get far. -
I am unsure, I don't see pallets as a problem. Killers have a speed increases so can close the extra distance gained by a pallet. I think it's down to more Killers getting tunnel vision and fixating on a target so much the rest of the team can do whatever they like in molested. Learn when to give up and go back to applying pressure on all survivors.
-
Firstly my Killer Rank doesn't matter?
Secondly they could do that... Did they have tool boxes? Did they have brand new parts? We're they together and moved as a unit taking advantage of Dwight speed perks for staying together?
The game gets harder and harder for the survivors until they power all 5 generators. Then it gets easier-ish. Sides you were the Doctor. You have way more OP methods and should deal with that with ease. -
I do agree though, vaulting needs more work. The amount of times people get hit through vaults is silly at times. They are supposed to help survivors balance out the speed advantage the killer has.
Most survivors don't know where the adults are and so just use them as opportunist break points. So while the three style of vaults makes sense, it also doesn't from a survivor point of view. Killers already have the speed advantage and quite a significant one at that, so a good killer should be able to counteract the vault a few seconds after it happens.
But hey that's just my view on it. As a person who is fed up of going through pallets and vaults and getting insta-hitted. -
I agree with Hodderfodder.
The Trapper is perfectly fine as is. I think the issue is people playing as the trapper expect too much of their traps. Higher level traps can be almost impossible to escape from.
Besides most killers just use the traps to AFK Hookcamp. I tend to find Trappers are among the worst Hookcamping offenders. -
In the current state of the game the generator times are fine. Killers can hook and chase down survivors too easily. If the killer is doing his job properly he is sabotaging every generator that is being worked on and slowing their progress.
If they balanced it out more so that there were less hooks and the wiggle timer was fixed, then yeah, expanding generator repair times would be a fair way to balance it out.. -
The alterative would be for you not to be near the hook to trigger it. Go damage some generators apply pressure on the survivors in different ways
