Action Icons made me install DBD again. I'm actually enjoying soloQ somewhat again, for the first time in the last 2-3 years and judging by the latest steam stats I'm not the only one. I still miss the "heartbeat" icon and some other icons, but it's definitely a step in the right direction and is a very healthy patch for the game. SoloQ finally got some love! It deserved it.1 comments 31 views last activity

Played some soloQ games as survivor today for the first time in 3-4 months and we almost finished all gens in one of the game before all of us were killed. That's crazy! It's 2022, come one, I thought solo survivors fixing gen was fixed already!! This game... Survivors still op!2 comments 61 views last activity

DEVs you should fix the solo vs SWF gap ASAP, that's the biggest game issue, it is literally breaking the game. If you buff survivors, then SWF on comms destroys killers. If you buff killers, killers destroy soloQ survivors. It's obvious to everyone already that you can't achieve a healthy killer vs survivor balance without fixing this issue. You say new HUD icons for soloQ are not planned for0 comments 31 views last activity

Most of the time an uninjured survivor will try to activate an exhaustion perk before he gets injured during the chase, after that IW will become useless for the duration of the chase. It defeats the purpose of running IW. And if someone runs SB, like me, IW will NEVER activate during a chase. Same applies to Lithe, you will inevitably activate Lithe in the beginning of a chase. That's a concept of how new survivor HUD icons could look like, the ones that are supposed to help solo survivors to bridge the gap between solo and SWF. I'm NOT suggesting to implement them exactly like this, I'm not a visual artist, this is a an oversimplified visualization just to get the idea. I think some icons can be shown directly on the survivor2 comments 101 views last activity

Although stealth is basically dead in DBD, if we compare the current state of the game to the first 1-3 years after DBD release, I still enjoy it sometimes and I'm glad devs are going to buff Lightweight and Distortion. Most people won't use these perks, but those changes are still very welcome and I'm looking forward to try the updates perks.9 comments 141 views last activity

A while back you announced new HUD icons, to bridge the gap between solo and SWF. Have you dropped these plans, are you still working on it, is it still planned? If you are still working on it, then sure, soloQ survivors have struggeled for years, we can wait some more months. If you dropped these plans, then the planned update seems unfair for solo survivors. In your DEV Update you say that th6 comments 101 views last activity

Killers will receive a huge buff in this patch, so will SWF. The new 5 second Endurance effect will benefit SWF much more than soloQ. SoloQ survivors can't coordinate their actions as efficient as SWF. It will be much easier for SWF to save their buddies now. What do soloQ survivors get? Most soloQ survivors will be down again after 5 seconds, because they don't have their buddies on the mic to b3 comments 71 views last activity

It's funny how some killer mains think that soloQ is bad because solo survivors are bad. SoloQ became a miserable experience since BHVR tweaked game balance many years ago. In the first 2-3 years after DBD release soloQ experience was great, escape rate was around 50% if not higher, after balance changes it is probably around 30-35% now. Did all good solo survivors suddenly disappeared? And are62 comments 1,402 views last activity

Balance gaps: We need adaptive difficulty mechanics during the match for both sides (à la Bloodlust)Most of my games as solo survivor either end in 4k (most of them) or 0k. By the nature of this asymmetric game, plus solo vs SWF gap, one of the possible solutions for game balance could be introducing more adaptive difficulty mechanics (not perks) into the game, in the vein of Bloodlust, but for both killer and survivors. If the killer tried his best, but all 4 survivors survived until the end3 comments 61 views last activity

I just played 12 solo games in a row (Region: Europe), the result: 10 4k games + 2k + 0k. That's 42 kills and 6 escapes. Isn't it supposed to be around 50% / 50%? Why isn't it 24 kills and 24 escapes then? I have never played a game that was so out out balance as DBD for solo survivors. Solo survivor buff when?5 comments 161 views last activity

Haven't played for half a year, played 6 soloQ games today, won only once, because another survivor sacrificed himself for me and died on the hook. 5 games out of 6 ended in 4k. 5 out of 6(!) and that's the usual number for soloQ from my past experience. How is it balanced? It's a joke. MMR doesn't fix anything. For YEARS(!!!!) we are asking BHVR to do something about soloQ. See you again in a38 comments 861 views last activity

This is from a (solo) survivor perspective. Finally we get a killer that feels like a monster. Playing vs Legion feels like playing vs an annoying high school kid, who is stronger than 4 survivors combined, it's also more annoying to lose to him. It's similar with Trickster. Please, no more human killers, DEVs. It's similar with small killers, like Hag, they don't feel right. When you lose to a3 comments 61 views last activity

I don't know what killers think about his powers, but as a survivor I like playing vs Nemesis a lot more than vs most of other killers. Finally no teleporting, no instadown, no stealth-breaking abilities, no ultra-high mobility, no annoying abilities, he is not yet another stealth killer, he is just not annoying. I don't mind if he gets a buff, if it turns out that he is weak, I better lose to Ne2 comments 51 views last activity

I'm not a big fan of indoor maps, but if DEVs like them, why not add a Minotaur as a Killer with a round maze as a map? That would be refreshing for DBD.1 comments 11 views last activity

Right now you get more BP if you just unhook survivors in front of the Killer without even trying to repair generators and die. This makes no sense, repairing gens must be rewarded more than now.2 comments 31 views last activity

If we dig deeper, it's not even information that makes SWF so powerful. Good survivors (=good jukers) team up to play SWF, because they don't want to rely on solo survivors and that's what makes the difference. Although information surely plays a big role too and if solo is made stronger, the gap between solo and SWF won't be as big anymore. If no survivor can juke, the game will end in 4k. Add more HUD information to existing survivor in-game icons. This will not introduce any new controversial features into the game, since we are already used to a lot of HUD information and it would not be "intrusive" atmosphere-wise. Add a chase indicator for ALL survivors, not just the obsession. This is probably the most needed feature. We will see less solo survivors crouching behind rocks,2 comments 31 views last activity

What DEVs did to Wraith was counterproductive as it turned out. He became even more viable against lower rank potatos who can't loop, but stays very week vs stronger survivors. I 4k also every game until rank 8-7, unless I play vs a good SFW team but in higher ranks he is just not viable compared to other killers. Wraith invisibility doesn't help him vs good loopers, but it totally screws up pot0 comments 21 views last activity

Gates often spawn too close to each other and killer (especially with high mobility) can easily travel back and forth without the last survivor having a chance to open the gates. This shoudln't be a thing.4 comments 31 views last activity

I think second chance perks are too powerful and should have more downsides. You struggle in the Kiler's grasp to get free, activate DS, but you get free by the cost of your health. Deep Wound applies (you have to mend, if anyone forgot what Deep Wound is) . It would make DS a more balanced second chance perk, since you have to spend more time healing yourself. I like BBQ as a killer, it's a great perk, it tracks survivors and brings a huge BP bonus. Partially merging it with Deerstalker and letting us see survivors that are downed seems cheesy and unnecessary. The purpose of BBQ is to motivate the killer from camping and tunneling and go after another survivor, it shouldn't help hooking downed survivors. Besides we have Deerstalker for that and BBQ ma25 comments 331 views last activity

What if after you have hooked a survivor and then hook a different one instead of the same survivor would give the killer 30% more BP (or 30% less BP if you hook the same one, it doesn't matter). Of course as long as there is more than 1 survivor that is still not hooked in the game. It would create a greater motivation than emblem points to go after a different survivor, instead of camping/tunne3 comments 21 views last activity

I suggested in on general forums some time ago, but I though I'd write in the suggestions forum as well. This is not a suggestion to buff survivors, if it buffs survivors too much, killers can receive a buff in return. The Idea We already have a lot of information on the HUD for survivors: when someone is injured, when someone is hooked, in a dying state, in the dream world, poisoned by Plag4 comments 31 views last activity

Adding additional sounds and VFX to the gens was unnecessary and is very annoying when fixing gens. Fiddling with Bloodlust wasn't necessary. Instead fix tunneling, camping, solo vs SFW balance and too long looping, that is till possible in many situations, especially against M1 killers and with second chance perks.0 comments 11 views last activity

The biggest problem in DBD is that most games either end in 0k or in 4k. From my experience as a killer or survivor you either get destroyed or you win easily. This gap will be even bigger if bloodlust will be removed. It's not gonna benefit weaker survivors, because they don't live long enough during the chase for bloodlust to get activated. Survivors who are good at looping on the other hand w0 comments 21 views last activity

Survivors who DC get punished, but you can just suicide on hook without any consequences, it makes no sense. This game feature has no strategic value in the game, it is just a way to "DC" and it punishes other teammates. It often causes snowball effect. As soon as someone suicides early in the game, other survivors start suiciding too. There is not a single reason for this game feature to stay i8 comments 61 views last activity

We have punishment for DCs, a suicide on hook is a useless game mechanic, which has the same effect like a DC. It makes no sense to punish survivors for DC, but allow to suicide on hook at the same time.0 comments 51 views last activity

Will DEVs ever do something with solo q? It's obvious that solo is much weaker than SWF, some balancing is needed to solo q.5 comments 71 views last activity

"Don't fix it if it ain't broken". The new gen sound is just awful, it's so annoying to repair a gen now. Please change it back.0 comments 41 views last activity

Are all balance problems in DBD going to be solved with perks? We have DS against tunneling, BT against camping. What is next? A perk against disconnects? If someone DCs you get additional 5000 BP? Can we start solving balance problems with game mechanics and encourage Killers to leave hooked person and go for another survivor? That problem is as old as DBD. No one likes it, even many killer mai25 comments 841 views last activity

When was the last time you wiggled out without your SWF buddies tanking hits for you? I haven't wiggled out for about 3 months and I play survivor every day.21 comments 191 views last activity

So apparently killers taking BNPs and toolboxes and trying to genrush in every game on PTB to try to skew the stats is a thing. I just saw some of them admitting that in the post-game chat. They try to prove that gens are done too fast without old ruin, though I rarely see BNPs in non-PTB games nowadays. That's really as cheap as it can get, congrats, killer-mains. 70% killrate in red ranks is a65 comments 1,761 views last activity

The official kill rate in red ranks is almost 70%. The game is killer sided, yet so many baby killers complain about ruin being nerfed. Just stop, you are winning way too many games already. You don't deserve 4k every game. And if you can't get 3k on average, you are just bad, because judging by stats most other killers can. Practice more and stop acting like babies.15 comments 251 views last activity
