I think I'll be running a couple of experiments on what limited data I can, which got me thinking a bit harder about the problematic collection and presentation of yesteryear regarding trial data. I really wish devstream data were more complete in how it presented data, and BHVR were more willing to acknowledge the differences between new and veteran play. What do you, fellow killers, survivors,22 comments 81 views last activity

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=smYQfAFGaGk BHVR's not a 'small indie studio' - and plenty of actually small indie studios have better models, textures, balancing, and general quality control with five person teams than the 800+ employees at BHVR. Many indie games are also more intricate, including actual horror games versus Lobby/Chase/M1 Simulator 2016. EAC is a joke. It0 comments 11 views last activity

"Moderately increases spookiness/visibility" is fine. It's not so good when you're comparing visual beam brightness or speed increases.5 comments 21 views last activity

The first legacy cosmetics were given as rewards for the players who prestiged before the relevant patch. We've had whispers and now devstreams saying they're looking to reducing grind and adjusting prestige again: so are the people who put in the 5-7 million BP already to prestige getting anything this time? I wouldn't want to step on the original legacy's toes: I missed that window, and that's3 comments 31 views last activity

What's the 16 perk, 4 item, 8 add-on, 4 Map Offering loadout you realize you're facing and just sigh because you're stuck with it? Is it the Resilient/Spine Chill, Dead Hard, Prove Thyself, Borrowed Time, Decisive Strike, Unbreakable/Soul Guard, Iron Will meta squad with BNPs on Ormond? Is it the ClickyBoi fan club running Head On, Deception, Dance With Me combo suites on The Game? Personally,43 comments 291 views last activity

Dead by Daylight is an asymmetrical game, wherein 1 killer attempts to thwart the escape of 4 survivors. A few too many people, including the devs and community representatives, get a bit caught up on that latter bit - yes, the objective of killers and survivors is to sacrifice/escape. However, we are not killers and survivors: we are players. The operative phrase of the description above is tha11 comments 181 views last activity

Never had a hack quite like that before. I knew they were out there, but still.. Complete trial lockdown when a Feng DCed on final hook - there had been a few speedhacks beforehand, which I had been intending to report - but my game turned into a slideshow with some strange particle effects*, and thinking it was just a network issue I double checked the router from my phone: no issue. I'm running into a thought cycle that's a bit stuck in my head: Hope is altruistic: a feeling of trust and/or positive expectation. Hope is a main source of The Entity's food - not the only one, but a 'staple food' of sorts, alongside anger and frustration. Why, then, is escape "the goal" for survivors? Hope is better obtained via those survivors which might sacrifice themselves so that the1 comments 31 views last activity

It'd be a nifty but small QoL feature to be able to click the next locked entry in a Collection track and be brought to the relevant Tome Level - things in the Archive can get a bit unintuitive when you're going back to complete old challenges.0 comments 1 views last activity

I've played 60+ matches with Wraith since SBMM - possibly significantly more, I don't keep track. I have a decently high overall MMR, though I won't pretend to have the highest - I'm just going off my consistent 8-12 hook games on 15-20 killers out of the roster, since there's little other criteria known. More confidence is personally given to seeing a slew of hackers, but given the possibility o11 comments 141 views last activity

Love'em or hate'em, zombies are an interesting addition to the game. PVP is cool and all, but PVE elements can be compelling parts too, regarding environmental storytelling and emergent gameplay. We've had small, passive environmental effects due to gen repair - but what if they were less passive? What do people think of them, just from a game design standpoint? Plenty of types wouldn't work for8 comments 101 views last activity

With information perks being soft-deleted for many (especially the colour-blind) through the new auras, with the cannibal's new bursts, with little penalty for staying or incentive to leave regarding hooks: the new updates seem geared toward rewarding campers - the least skilled group in the game. There remains virtually no risk of losing enough hooks - they're very close together. The auras ma24 comments 131 views last activity

What are we, as survivors, supposed to do when a killer DCs? Does that trial count, or do we need to do an extra round, or what?1 comments 12 views last activity

If the cosmetics are available from the store - understanding that it's meant to serve as an arbitrarily specific alternate currency in lieu of iri shards - what makes putrid serum special mechanically? Why not just up shard rates so people could get whatever cosmetics they want? Separately, why release skins related to putrid serum that're so bereft of optimization that they seem to nearly univ3 comments 51 views last activity

I'm sitting here, pretty content with my ownership of all the DLC, having all perks (or nearly all perks) on a few survivors and a chunk of the killers - and I realize just how little I play Ghostface, Nurse, Laurie, Jane, and Kate, even in KYF. As far as survivors go, given that I got a lot from the shrine I have several that I never really levelled - never needed to, never cared to. Anyone els14 comments 111 views last activity

This is gonna be a long post. It's fine to just click away. This is also more about satisfying a thought than proposing specific changes, and likely a thought that's in no way unique, but suggestions on how to satisfy that thought with some specific changes would be more than welcome. So, going through the killer list, there's a lot of discrepancies as far as addons go. People will complain abou0 comments 31 views last activity

It really shouldn't be that hard to treat differently people who click "leave match" and those that leave because of latency error or the game crashing. Depipping should be harsh for those that deliberately leave the match - although I like the husk idea that's getting implemented. For those that conceivably don't have a choice, such as when DbD fails to connect to the internet midway through a1 comments 21 views last activity

When you have a perfect/nearly perfect game in terms of points, but safety pip or only barely get one pip, it's evidence that the two scoring systems are at odds with each other. I understand that the emblem system is a common gripe among many that pick at the mechanics of the game and see room for improvement. I'm not adding to that, just saying that BP and Emblems should actually reflect each0 comments 11 views last activity

what brown addon would you add to each killer's base kit to make them more viable? Trapper: Trapper Sack - he needs too much setup for a lot of people, this will lessen some of that Wraith: The Hound - he's a tracker, and having that as part of his base kit makes sense Hillbilly/Cannibal: Chainsaw Files - honestly, reducing the noise from these things is just a QoL thing Nurse: doesn't reall20 comments 371 views last activity

The Dullahan had a name once: Crom Dubh, or Black Crom. He was a powerful warlord in an ancient Irish Kingdom that demanded tribute and sacrifices from local villages and kingdoms, which they paid quickly as they feared what he would do if they failed to comply. Eventually, the people resisted his influence, toppling his seat of power. Not to be cast aside so easily, Crom began to ride the moo0 comments 62 views last activity

It'd be nice if the devs polled the community on what reworks to prioritize. Left Behind and Piggy were hit by EGC. People like the new Ghostface, but aren't on board with the planned hotfix without some real transparency. Dying Light is nerfed yet further by the addition of another way of juggling obsession. There's some rather extensive lists some users/players have regarding aspects of the ga0 comments 12 views last activity

Who do you think puts up the decorations for events? They're largely based on holidays in the real world, but they're mashups of culture rather than following a specific calendar. I wonder if The Entity herself puts them up. Holidays are, historically, celebrations or remembrances which bring people together in tradition. In a cynical light, they're methods of cultural indoctrination, and the m7 comments 172 views last activity
