Mainly asking because the random MASSIVE increase in wait time as killer is killing my interest in this game off. I have zero interest in waiting over 6 minutes just to possibly get to play a match. The excuse I got as to why this suddenly happened was something in preparation for Dedicated servers.
Pre ghost face? 30 second wait time to get my own lobby as a killer on Xbox. RIGHT at the double blood event before GF came out? All of a sudden 3-6 minute wait just to have my lobby created and it has not changed since then with ZERO inconsistency. It is ALWAYS that long.
Bro...are you honestly saying you think dedicated servers will reduce your queue time? Nice meme

As it is i DC off a 100% of the game killer has a mori. I main killer and i dont use them for a reason and when i do use them, i use them on third hook so that the survivor would have been dead on hook anyways. This is honestly the way it always should have been. Having a mori work after first hook is just plain stupid

The simple solution is to stop those farming parties to begin with. I literally had to rename myself on steam during the 3 years anniversary to "IDGAF about your farm" just so the killers would stop trying to get me to farm with them. If i wanted to half afk play a game, this wouldnt be it.

To be fair at low rank, running self care is a MUST. The protocol at low rank apparently is to unhook and take off for 5 minutes running after the guy who unhooked you until he feels safe enough to heal you when the killer was obviously in a chase during the unhook and it would have been safe to heal right there.
I run self care JUST to start the healing animation right off the hook (i run object) then the guy unhooking sometimes turns back and heals me right there.

This is false, you CAN DC. Its against the rules to DC in a majority of your games. Just DC when the ping gets nuts is fine honestly. You wont get banned if you DC occasionally

Im a killer main and i still believe moris are just horrible to use on survivors.
Im gonna admit i have used moris recently and i tried using it on last hook and honestly even that small change probably could help. For killer it removes a little time that you would spend picking up someone and finding a hook, then hook animation. Depending on hook distance, mori could have some utility, plus you keep the cool animations without completely ruining at least 1 survivors chance to even get a safety pip

This will be an amazing update for killers.
You realize when the new system kicks in, killer queues are gonna get INSANELY long considering most survivors will be busy waiting on their timers? Cause there isnt a system in place that will prevent me from nope-ing out on moris

Lobby dodging has to be a thing until dedicated servers come up. I wont stay in a lobby with 150 ping or more and i feel like that accounts for most the lobby dodges. As far as DCs are concerned, they need to start figuring out WHY people are DC'ing. You can punish people for DC'ing people will find a way. Easiest is to suicide on first hook.
As long as things like 5 blink nurses, prayer bead spirit, iri head huntress and mori's are in the game, people will DC.
You cant just incorporate unfun addons/perks/offerings and expect people to roll with it

Bro every single top streamers are using custom perk icons, if they start banning for that, they lose ALL their top streamers. THAT is not gonna happen.
Changing a value in a config file is not bannable.
Had my FPS unlock for a very long time now, also have custom perk icons and custom survivor/killer selection portrait and i have had no issues up until now with EAC.
The comments from the devs is that they dont care but if EAC bans you they cant do anything about it. That being said, again, if one day all of a sudden they start banning people with custom icons and portraits, they lose their streaming presence by getting rid of the top streamers and that would be pretty damn bad for the game if it happened

Well yes and no. Right now everything being released is so under powered that the meta has been stagnant for a VERY long time now.
Basically dead hard, adren, DS and filler.
Its basically been a no heal meta for survivors and ruin, enduring, spirit fury and filler.
They need to start either nerfing the high pick rate perks or buffing substantially bad ones and try to make them more tempting than what is already available and overpicked.
A crap ton of streamers are getting burned out by the meta because its become unfun to go against the exact same thing over and over and over and over

To be fair the game's systems just encourages DCs.
No ways to veto a killer or map is one reason why you can punish dc all you want but all ill do as survivor if i go vs spirit is run at her and suicide on first hook
Mori's, if i see one i DC, if they put punishment for dcs, ill just run at the killer and suicide on first hook.
5 blink nurse? Coo! DC
Iri head huntress? DC
The amount of addons or perks that shouldnt be in the game to begin with are probably part of a big percentage of DC's
Most of the top streamers just either DC or suicide on first hook when they get prayer bead spirit and honestly i cant even blame them.
If you know for a fact you wont pip due to mori or crazy addons and you know you wont have fun, why the hell not DC?
To be able to ACTUALLY get rid of the DC problem, they need to figure out WHY people are disconnecting and try to fix that before they even think about punishment.

A survivor cant by himself make you derank as killer on purpose.
If a killer wants to make you depip, all he has to do is tunnel the living hell out of you or facecamp you.
Im a killer main and honestly if you consider getting flashlight blinded or tea bagged toxic, you should stick to singleplayer games
