Discriminatory as hell..all dcs should be handled equally

Fair enough, but most perks eat through distortion (Especially NC paired with BBQ). If they audio was actually working, tampering with footsteps wouldn't be too bad.
Bbq already gets countered several ways in survivor base kit..and for a perk that requires nothing from you to use effectively, distortion is dangerous..I'm not a fan of survivors getting to shut down killer builds..and the audio issues have shown why a footstep sound perk wouldnt be healthy for the game at all
-
Not bad. Though I'd argue footsteps should never be tampered with via perks..its too vital for killers to have..and distortion could become kinda broken if it could so easily build tokens

yes they do have to look at them. If the killer looks away it does not blind them
No..only if they look up

How are they strong? They're single use and very easy to dodge, not counting they can blind survivors too.
Saves..with any competence they are unavoidable free saves..the killer doesnt even have to look at them

fun being "ez wins making me feel like im a god which I need because of my insecurity irl"
Now she requires a tad bit more skill to play, leveling the playing field a bit, its better for everyone.
Your looking at this one dimensionally as much as falsely
-
Thing is fire crackers are really strong..having them base game may be a tad much
-
The real issue is they lowered her performance and made her harder at the same time..the blink cooldown should be either significantly reduced or outright removed..her addons are not really a threat any longer so they should have taken it slow especially when they have little to no nurse experiance themselves

No it's not. Solo queue escape rates are abysmal.
Lol ok..Tell the devs that man..every change they make has been for solo benafit and they themselves have said this

This wouldn't be a bad idea if the game was balanced around solo queue. It's not so no.

A few of these survivor perks are way too strong....lightweight chief among them..footsteps should never be deafened or tempered with..they are far too important as the current patch is proving

I main Hag and I haven't used any add-ons in weeks. She doesn't need them to be nearly as good or as good as Billy in the right hands. I've played her pretty much since I've started playing the game. So yes, I play her a lot, and I absolutely guarantee you she doesn't need extra range or anything else to be a very good killer, so you're starting from a bad premise.
My premise is I have a lot of experiance with and against every killer..and based on the slowly increasing survivor power gap..killers like hag have one or two holes I want to get the devs opinion on..and I do not see this making her much stronger..just makes certain maps less broken..as I said..hag is a safe killer to change as its take significant changes to bump her up any higher..and shes not even close to danger level
-
@gantes said:

This is still on topic though...? I'm merely stating why I disagree with your opinion. She doesn't need this and it counters one of her weaknesses which is she can't be literally everywhere. Hag is exactly fine the way she is and what makes her unpopular is that
- She's short
- She's slow
- She requires planning and a lot of people think that's boring
That change would only make her stronger, which she doesn't need, and she'd still be unpopular. So I don't think it's a good idea.
I dont think you play much hag...this changes nothing about her play style..it just allows her to play the game..shes got multiple trap counters, a complicated style compared to other killers , 110 speed, and is extremely addon dependent..everybody just runs max range anyway so why not make her more free to use other addons..? There is nothing even remotely proving this would topple her..that's implying shed beat freddy , spirit , billy, and arguably nurse..with this one change..now you see why I dont think your looking at this factually as far as your just assuming any "buff" would break her..because as she sits shes good..but doesnt hold a candle to some of the others

If Hag haves 115% movement speed, why would I play Trapper? And Imagine almost an corrupt purge at all time with Huntress
To be fair trapper is already inferior to hag in his present state..but I agree 115 isnt the solution

I actually feel Hag is the killer who cares about the map she's in the least. Since you're most likely playing half map every single time, I'm not bothered at all when I get an atrocious map... barring Ormond because it's still BS for everyone and Yamaoka because it's hard to see stuff. Other than that she does well in every map I feel.
Better to make her ability more flexible than to rework and shrink EVERY large map...

Sorry if I seemed rude. Obviously it would be a buff for her, which she doesn't necessarily need. The main reason why I want it is because it would make her feel infinitely nicer to play on some maps without breaking her.
But there are like 6 killers I would change before her. So there's that.
I'd ask you to not derail my thread
-
@Waffleyumboy said:
This isn't qol. This is a major buff.
On what evidence?
-
@gantes said:
This would mitigate her weaknesses too much imo.
I don't think this would make her more popular. What would make her popular imo is making her 115% movespeed, which I don't think would make her broken but the devs don't like changing that apparently (Huntress should have been increased to 115% a long time ago but they stated they don't want to do that iirc. At least Hag's power isn't invalidaded in indoor maps like Huntress')
But farm maps rob her of map pressure she needs to work..hercweaknesses stay the same

Where is the biased button, cause I need to create 1m account and spam it on you, lol.
Now srsly who is gonna take you seriously with that name?
Anyone with at least 1 brain cell knows nurse and spirit were ridiculously strong.
Nurse addons were strong..spirit was debatable but now theres really 0 room to whine
-
So you want to play hag do you? Well my friend..let us begin..Hag is all strategy and deception..forcing survivors into her traps..As you begin the match start placing traps in strategic locations survivors are likely to step in as you search for a chase target ..Gens and jungle gyms chief among them, but areas survivors cut through commonly to get between gens is also a good idea as they wont be expecting those and are very likely to help you get chases done faster.
Now next is placement..trap placement is as important as location..advanced hag players know that when you trap a jungle gym..put the trap to slightly sideways from the pallet or window your trapping , this makes use of the camera lock hag traps give to disrupt survivor pathing and help you land those hits..note that trapping too close to the pallet will result in you eating splinters.
Next is pressure..hag has to play things differently as a 110 killer..if a chase is going poorly and another trap goes off..switch targets, you may get the easier target or at least keep gens down a little bit better, and once a survivor is hooked, place a trap near them as to slow down their rescuers..and make sure traps are close enough you can hopefully get a trap to go off on the unhooker..this helps hag make extremely good use of make your choice and this is where she is strongest..while someone is hooked she can snowball off a rescue like mad..in the case of a basement hook..add one additional trap at the top of the stairs..makes your basement very hard to escape.
Finally..mind games..sometimes you'll find yourself in a place devoid of traps..if you feel confident..place a trap along the loop and based off your survivor..you can use the trap as normal..or..use it to scare survivors into trying to get back over the window/pallet as you flank around the other way..the old checkmate play..With some practice you'll find these tips should help you immensely and will show you why hag is an almost perfect killer for dbd..and why shes extremely underestimated

I agree with that. I'm against any aura readings of the opposite side, which gives too precise info. Survivors shouldn't see killer aura near the hook, but they should be able to tell if the killer is near or not. Just a simple: yes/no, without knowing what the killer is doing, where exactly he is and where he is heading to.
Honestly people underestimate what kindred gives aside from killer aura
-
Seeing where the killer goes even when even the hooked survivor cant see them is very very powerful..kindred as a perk is nearly broken..base kit its game breaking
-
She dropped because the devs thought they were more knowledgable than others when they dont even play nurse

I am gonna stand by this and say I think killers should have the ability to relive survivor perks considering survivors can remove 3 killer perks just like that
Not likely to happen
-
No..this would make ruin beyond useless..and as survivors dont have to worry about their perks being removed 99 percent of the time I cant say they have any fair ground to judge a killer perks strength when it can be permanently disabled from the match start..a better idea? Get the devs to give a perk to replace ruin as a good anti gen perk..then people wouldnt use it as much..but all but 2 anti gen perks are hilariously bad..and ruin is one of them
-
Thos idea keeps getting brought up and it annoys me how frankly lazy and inefficient it is...no offense but it is
-
Huntress is the most map dependent, easiest looped killer in dbd

There are also grunts of pain. Removing uninjured requirement would help add variety to its uses. Fixated is low tier as it is, a small buff won't break it.
We cant garuntee that..plus there are slower killers to consider
-
@CakeDuty said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/936720#Comment_936720
Though if Fixated worked while hurt, then you'd leave bloodtrails killers could easily follow, so I don't really see the problem. Even if they buffed it to work while Injured I doubt more people would use it, it's just a nice QoL change for the people that already like.
Blood isnt a viable form of tracking unless it's on indoor maps or with bloodhound..ground is too dark otherwise..besides..urban evades are not fun to vs or play with at all..I'd rather it not be encouraged
-
The difference is fixated can be much stronger than urban..best to leave it
-
People will do worse vs them..until they adjust..we see this with every killer change..and release..just look at oni now compared to just a couple weeks ago..people learned he wasnt nearly as strong as people whom ran to conclusions claimed..legion still has 1 fatal flaw that only he and plague share...legion cannot use his power to secure a chase..ever...and plague half the time cant either..however she does have benefits that legion lacks and so shes overall better off

I guess we can just agree to disagree. I don't feel survivor is any more chill than killer. Both have stress and high moments and low moments. Maps play a big part in this though I feel.
With survivor my only stress comes from my team sadly

Can survivors even keep their addons in the event they take a White Ward? Not if Franklin's is in play.
Survivors have to survive to use the same toolbox and addons 6 times. Every time they use it, AND Franklins has to not be in play. They also have to buy their toolbox, whereas killers have a power base kit, meaning they have to buy more than just their addons, they have to buy their "power" too. Sure, they can find it in a chest, but it's likely to be a brown med kit or toolbox with nothing if they don't have Plunderer's/Ace in the Hole/Pharmacy, and then they have to survive to actually keep it and put addons on it. Say you buy Iridescent Button and Cold Dirt for Legion. That's 13000 BP. Now say you buy an Engineer's Toolbox, Brand New Part, and Socket Swivels. That's 16k BP, and 7000 of that cost can be undone if the killer happens to chase you off the gen in the beginning after kicking it and no one gets back on it. Leading me into another thing. Survivor stuff has less of an impact than killer stuff for the same costs.
You could argue that a killer should keep their addons in the event they succeed the same as survivors, but a killer's addons can help them win FAAAAAAR more than a survivor's can. This could create an event in which an Iridescent Head Infantry Belt Huntress could keep using that combo forever because it's strength allows her pretty much the ability to chain wins constantly. The combo I mentioned(probably the strongest survivor combo I can think of honestly) could not do this. So in the event someone played solely one or the other, I still think the survivor would be spending more BP than the killer would.
Regardless, BP is not a killer or survivor based thing, so comparing the costs of survivor or killer is silly. It's a currency that can be used on one or the other. My argument is that survivors get less in a game than killers do to spend with, meaning if I was playing survivor and I wanted to use that BP on killer, I'd be getting less than if I were to be playing killer and use it on survivor, despite the currency being exactly that, only currency I would get for playing a game. This is why the gap should be closed, not widened. You should be able to play whatever you want to get BP. You shouldn't be coerced to only play killer when you want BP and only play survivor when you have a challenge or something else. You should be able to play whatever you're in the mood for and still potentially get the same BP gains.
As trivial as it is I disagree because the amount of effort needed to get those points differs greatly..that is my stance on the issue..survivor is more chill..I view it as a decent farming tool as items are merely extras
-
@Atrushan88 said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/933493#Comment_933493
More like a healthy ebony stock, which they would already have to further increase BP gains. Again, they already can easily get double, and again, a Legion could easily get 32k BP nearly every game just by existing.
Also I'm pretty sure I've never gotten points for vaulting. I could be wrong as I don't always pay attention, but I'm 95% sure I don't get points for vaulting. Survivors have gotten points for dropping pallets IN CHASE because the discrepancy between killer and survivor BP is still big(and honestly this just reinforces bad play because ooh BP. I didn't get that before). The thing is, BBQ is what makes the discrepancy the biggest. It doesn't matter if a survivor can get 32k BP in a match, they're likely never gonna get that 64k that killers can get unless they manage to rework WGLF to actually be manageable.
Keep in mind, people who play survivor do also play killer. So I'm not sure about the idea that "Killers use more BP than survivors". Not everyone has every killer and every survivor at level 50 P3ed either, so saying one side needs more BP over another is ludicrous. If you could only use BP for whichever side you were playing, maybe there would be an argument here(not really because the survival rate is much less than the kill rate, meaning survivors do actually need to use toolboxes and the like).
I'll prove it..can killers keep addons without a black ward..? No
Survivors can use the same toolbox and addons six times..on top of survivors having the advantage in the current meta..all I say is factual..killers use more bp than survivors on necessity..now if you only play one side then obviously in your case it could be different however on average killers need and use far more bp as they dont get any reusability from their addons outside of a black ward which costs a hefty sum of bp in it's own right..plus items can be farmed for free via chests while killer addons cannot..its simple

Yea I figured you had to at least play as Survivor otherwise what do you care how hard it is for them?
If they ever change Mori to only usable after 2nd hook (which they are cause they change everything the Survivors whine about) then they might as well just get rid of Moris altogether.
Hence why I designed this idea the way I did..so nobody is leaving empty handed
-
@Atrushan88 said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/932631#Comment_932631
Saying they work harder for them is an opinion, not a fact and honestly Legion can get near full BP every game so that's not even true if you're actually going for bp. As for your thought process, killers can already potentially get 64k whereas a survivor will get at max 32k. Sure you could argue it's possible to get 64k bp on survivor but it's next to impossible.
It's a simple fact..survivors are now getting points just for vaulting and pallet dropping..plus add in perks like pts and I can easily get over twenty thousand for little to no effort on my part..this offering doesnt just hand them over anyway..they are solely based on performance..plus..who cares if killers get more bp? They use several times the bp survivors do just to keep a healthy addon stock

@Atrushan88 said:
Green keys would still be a meme. You wanna see all survivors? Bring bond. Using a key for aura reading is about the worst outside of seeing the killer. Do you know how fast those charges get used up? It takes about 2 charges just for it to start working. Also not sure about giving killers more BP. The BP gap is still a huge thing between survivor and killer because of how good BBQ is, and how bad WGLF is.
Also giving moris during EGC for free removes a lot of cool surprises during EGC. There'd also be no reason to use offerings for moris because you could do it anyways pretty much. The only thing it'd be used for is BP.
Killers deserve more bp as they work way harder for them..plus it's an iridescent offering..it has to do something big or it's pointless..and I'd say there are no real surprises in the egc over noed and blood warden , but in this case you'll be hit with the tension of thinking "Have I been hooked twice??" Bevause if you have..you've been marked for death...moris are really fun but I'd rather they be more part of the game but fair over being rare and a massive power shift
-
@Deadeye said:
I'm pretty sure the EGC mori thing will raise complaints like the "NOED rewards bad killers" crap. The point you mention about DS is diffucult, you cannot really "save" DS until engame unless you get hooked very close to endgame, otherwise the timer is off. And if already in endgame, you cannot activate it since you get mori'd.
Aura reading on keys is not that fancy as a trade I think. There is already an addon and perks to do so, so not much of a new idea. If aura reading, I would give it aura reading on the hatch, so you can find it quicker when it spawns. In advantage of Left Behind, which only works if you are the last one.
Just being able to reopen it seems like a good approach at first step.
I wanted to give it more base game relevance and unlike other perks this item only shows auras you want to see to maybe make a decision..seeing the hatch would still be a tad too strong especially when a perk for it exists..plus killers cannot stop the key from being in the trial..as such it has gameplay significance while the mori offering doesnt..bit of a give and take for both sides..besides..if you go down after a door is open and your death hook regardless you rightfully were caught
