Literally everything for everyone, both sides
I don't think so. I really enjoy playing this map as killer and survivor. It's easy to make survivors get a bad 3 gen if you just let them finish all the gens on one side, and it's great as survivor because there are so many pallets and loops.

I hope to never see it again.....now if they can do the same to RPD....hmmm how to bring in a tactical nuke into the game....
RPD is a really fun map. I love it.

I'm going to need some reasons for it being hot garbage.
Are you referring to playing killer on this map, playing survivor, being console player? What exactly are you complaining about here?
-
Jesus! If they would just add some new game mode, this game would be so much more fun. We are tired of playing the same old game mode. It's worn out, and adding new characters isn't going to hold everyone's attention much longer.

The entire team shouldn't get slugged within 20 seconds. Allow the killer to pick them up, or get the killer in a chase. Your team mate can always crawl to a pallet as well. Unbreakable is perfect for this situation, as well as buffed med kits if you don't want to bring more perks just for countering slugging. Bubbas still aren't really difficult to loop while chainsawing. So keep running them around small objects whilst they chainsaw. And if they want to continue slugging, then you should just go to gens and avoid picking up your team mates. Pressure the gens, and hopefully the killer will leave your downed mates long enough for a heal.

That literally doesn't have to do with anything I said.
Hatch is a free way to escape anyway. It being even in the game makes it BS. Hatch is just there so the baby survivor may escape even though he didn't do anything all game and pre-drops every pallet and even then goes down in less than 15 seconds.
Keys are unbalanced, but so are moris, but you literally say "Survivors have keys, Killers have moris = balance". It doesn't work like that.
Sometimes the person to get hatch has been working very hard and all of their potato team mates die. Not sure why killers feel they should always get a 4k. I'm always more concerned about points. A lot of the killers in this discussion sound as if they need to play solo survivor more, and they may understand why some people bring keys. Solo survivor, not swf, because that ######### is AIDS.

It's not up to killers to worry if survivors are having fun. It's up to them to have fun for themselves. Just like it's up to survivors to worry about their own fun and not the killers.
Killers and survivors aren't eachothers babysitters, and that mentality where we're supposed to give a crap if the other side is having fun needs to die.
This mentality is why the world is such #########. If more people were concerned about other people's happiness, then the world would be a better place. Collectivism is what it's called. It's not crap. It's just too difficult for most people to wrap their minds around, because most people are extremely selfish.

It's fun watching both sides argue that either PC or console survivors are potatoes. I know there are a lot of new players, and those are mainly the potatoes, whether they are console or PC. I've noticed that most console killers I play are more likely to miss basic attacks because it is harder to turn with joystick due to lack of turning sensitivity. But there are still good console killers and survivors, just as there are good PC killers and survivors.

Your biggest hurdle with this build is going to be progression slowing perks and add -ons. Freddy with his binding add-ons, sloppy boogers, Thana, and his blood pools are going to slow you from healing, and you're going to be slowed on loops. Plus you're grunts are louder in the dream world. This is why I hate Freddy.

I've read this whole thread and this person really does seem to be making a lot of excuses as to why their argument should be supported. You keep arguing that certain killers (primarily DLC killers) have too much difficulty finding survivors. So here's my advice: use Billy. He comes with base game and has Tinkerer. Once these 3 or 4 swf survivors progress a gen 70% you are notified and become undetectable for 12 seconds. Since you're a high mobility killer, you zoom over and interrupt their progress. And I imagine you don't play much survivor, or you'd have much better intuition when it comes to survivor spawn locations. I'm pretty good at it now because I'm survivor main. I completely destroyed a team with Billy in under 5 minutes and I was just guessing at which gen to run to first. Play more survivor and you'll have a better idea of where to search first.

Interesting how the author says they won't accept their defeat. Sounds as if someone else has not accepted their own defeat.

Please don't use corn emojis, I'm still recovering from the PTSD induced nightmares Coldwind Farm gives me.
The problem is no one can agree to what is considered a win. 20k is nice, but someone might think 21k is better for them. Some killers think 1k is good, some killers think 4k is the only way to consider a win, while others think that 12 hooks is the only true way to win, while others think 32k is the only true way to win. Some survivors think a good chase is a win, a single gen, several gens, making sure at least one person has a good chance at escaping, making sure at least one person actually escapes, all the way up to 4-person escapes.
The truth is often it's case by case, individually determined, and determined by what map you play on and who you play against in an in-the-moment way--meaning that X individual playing against Y killer on Z map might have completely different goals depending on what happens early, mid, and late game, to change what they consider a win. And we're trying to create a line in the sand as close as possible to our version of winning, which isn't really set in stone anyways.
As much as I think killers need to chill out about 4k games being the only real way to win, the current pip system encourages it, and in a system where rank is visually important, even if the community knows that it's not really, it systematically stimulates that sort of mentality.
I completely agree with you on all points. Winning is a very ephemeral notion in this game. Everyone wants to have fun and enjoy themselves though, which is also a very abstract and case by case situation as well. But perhaps we can agree that the pip and ranking system are no help at all. So maybe they should be done away with. Also, I think the game should choose match making based upon play time. I'm just trying to brain storm some ways to mildly improve most player's enjoyment of the game. What do you think? And do you have any suggestions?

I'm not really sure why it has the action boost, but I don't think it's over powered. It takes up a perk slot, when you could get a non stealth killer. Stealth killers would be far too powerful if this perk did not exist. Except for wraith, because he has to uncloak before attacking. This perk is non directional as well. You just know the killer is looking in your direction, not from where. Not everyone runs this perk either. I see most sweaty survivors running unbreak a Bill, DS, SB, and Iron Will.
-
I'd like a completely random mode, where all players start with unknown characters and perks. And it would not allow survive with friends.
-
Plankton as killer, SpongeBob/ Patrick as survivor.
-
Clown x Billy.
-
I sure hope they bring back those skins. I've never seen them, but I like them!

Donny Darko. Space time continuum films always disturb me.

Survivors should be awarded plenty of extra points if they are camped to death before they reach a certain point threshold. Leave killers and hook grabs alone. If someone wants to ruin another players experience by not allowing them to play the game, then that survivor should be awarded extra points.
-
@Dwinchester I'd have to disagree about pips being the win condition. As I pointed out, pips and rank buy you nothing in this game. Iridescent shards and blood points do.
-
Can we talk about what really is winning in this game? We all basically know that rank does not determine your skill level at this game, yes? So even if you don't kill a single person in match, but manage to gain 20k plus points, I consider that a win. Points are what advance character level, buy add-ons, and perks for characters, not rank. Yes, everyone wants to dominate a match and crush the killer/survivors, but perhaps we should shift our focus away from those metrics of performance. Points reward us. Points are awarded based on a number of factors during a match, not just surviving or sacrificing. Sure, there are matches where killers very quickly end a match and very few points go to survivors. There are also matches where survivors manage to keep a killer occupied long enough to open the gates and prevent them from securing hooks by using perks or items. This happens because people are focused on the wrong goals, and they are only concerned for their enjoyment of the game, and their rewards. If we would all think more about earning points through extended match play and performing different tasks during matches, then perhaps more people would enjoy this game and be less stressed. πΎπΎπΎπ
