I thought they addressed Leatherface's ability to insta down you off hook
Just had one stand just outside the range but still close enough that he can just rev up during the unhook animation and still down us both.....
Leatherface players have adapted easily enough to the change I see
-
this is for the most egregious type of camping, I don't get how people are legitimately mad about it as if it's an unhealthy change??
you really can't refrain from doing this ???
play something else if this is what you had to do to secure 1 kill, clearly you were not having a good go at it to begin with
-
please no
my teammates do not need any more encouragement to not do gens, they do enough totems as it is
-
yes, I want to see killers doing popular TikTok dances

So your counter is to just never chase someone running this combo?
chase once, realize what's going on and ignore them after that until I kill the other 2 actually doing gens
once I kill or at least hook these guys, time to go back for the breakout/boil over guys

No one is sitting on top of the slug. I'm saying you're forced to just let them go for free after losing a chase a million times instead of them just being dead after losing chase three times.
Think about it: if every survivor ran the build, I chase one, slugged. Darn, I have to let them go for free. Oh well. chase someone else, their friend picks up the slug and the guy I chase runs there, too. Oh well, gotta let them go. They have Boil Breakout, too. But ah, I found the first guy again. And he ran straight back there. Now instead of being on death hook, I just have to slug him for 3 more minutes, all because he equipped two perks and burned a map offering.
Rinse repeat over, and over, and over, and over again, the entire trial.
I mean I'm not going to think about it in the extreme, one-off case where a 4 man SWF runs this, hook offerings, and successfully gets their plan off every single time
you can go chase someone else, if you continue to chase the survivor(s) who you know are running this and successfully executing it then that's on you for not abandoning them
-
not really a reportable offense I would think - just strategizing a perk combo & map
slug them and go after another survivor, idgi no one is forcing you to watch them bleed out. Go apply pressure elsewhere? That's at least 2 survivors who are not on gens and just messing with you, ignore them?
-
did a report for the first time the other day of a wraith slugging me under a hook as last survivor, binging his bong while spinning in circles and taking small breaks to hump my body all during EG collapse
they said 'slugging is not punishable' over and over and over 💀
-
but let's be honest, most play this way because they know they will struggle otherwise. Not cause the survivors are so good , the killer is just inherently bad at the game
-
op made a post and then 2 burner acc 💀

I disagree with this camping mechanic, and your opinion all together. Survivors has anti-camping perks for a reason, this will make those a lot stronger now. This game is way past “fun” it’s more competitive, adding this will make killer unbearable to play. 1 to 2 gens left, I would love to not be punished to get someone out of the match. Obviously, at that point killer is losing the match anyways.
Thank you for hearing me out, & responding Mandy.
as a solo q sufferer, how am I supposed to know what perks my other 3 teammates are bringing? should I waste deliverance just to end up being downed first and face camped immediately? Or reassurance? Reassurance doesn't do anything if the killer is set on face camping you no matter how long it takes, some killers will throw the entire game to kill one person...
this mechanic is punishing the most severe cases of face camping, it's not the end of the world if you still desire to proxy the survivor cause you can't be bothered to pressure any other part of the map....face camping is a terrible strat, you're stuck in a feedback loop of getting kills regularly due to this play style and not due to any skill and thus stunting your own growth in the game..

Is there seriously no one who considers Map Offerings a problem in this game? 😑
no, unless you're sending us all to backwater swamp
-
I don't get the endurance nerf requests
I use MFT but rarely get the value from that part of the perk, how often are people really dealing with the endurance part???
very situational imo? Wouldn't impact my matches in one way or the other if that gets axed, personally. I imagine if that's the route they choose that people would still call for another nerf to the speed aspect

I love campers cause it means I can just tell my teamates to ignore me and work on gens stress free.
plus I run reassurance haha.
not in solo queue
teammates will waste a good amount of time circling the hook before they abandon you and it turns into a 2k+ because of the teammates who didn't get the memo to do gens
appreciate the thought but pointless if you are not prepared to trade

MacMillan maps are cool
yes from me

Maybe me too. I have now zero killers who I enjoy playing in this game its beyond infuriating. I dont wanna leave DBD I love this game but only playing survivor is so boring
SM sucks in her current state
a killer being viable because it's easy to essentially force 4Ks/wins due to survivors just getting mentally exhausted is not good. She's a guaranteed W for most players who play in that manner and skill is not even relevant
any rework is a step in a better direction

Turrets are now a lose lose situation
Break the turret?
Lose massive distance.
Don't break it?
Become m1 killer
lol wut
he should be able to break the turrets, keep the same distance on a survivor or opt to not break them, remain in power, and still be on the survivor's ass????
######### are you supposed to do as a survivor at that point?
-
goodbye!
-
but then I just got a typical douche SM player right after so it was time to turn dbd off

The real question is how many wesker have you encountered?
1
I'll take him over Xeno any day
-
not encountered 1 Xeno today so far
rejoice!

I know. But how is it possible that the game gives me a match that I can't win because the skill difference is way to big
do not try to make sense of this game my brother, it is a fruitless endeavor

At least with a face camping bubba the match is progressing unlike a 3 genning skull merchant making progress grind to a halt for 30+ minutes
ok valid point tbh
-
terrible take
tldr: I like to play stress free and holding ppl hostage til they give up and I get an easy win because any other way is hard
I'll never understand this mindset or like face camping Bubba players, why load into a match to spend it doing essentially nothing? Is it just a dopamine kick for solely from kills as opposed to actually playing the game, chasing, etc?
-
don't forget the counter to his power being the turrets which someone ends up getting punished for at the start (and usually throughout the game as well) for trying to set one up. He will just take the tunnel at start and either break the turret as he comes out or get you as you're walking trying to find a viable place to put it (which is usually out in the open since you can't place it in more optimal and hidden spots), either way, he will get a free hit.
I've learned just to kms on hook for Xeno & SM matches, why delay the frustration that's due at some point during the match...
-
that's sort of on you for not realizing to drop chase on him and go for someone else tbh
-
knowing bhvr, the next ptb is likely to include some unwanted and completely unwarranted change like blight having a shotgun added to his kit that can down survivors within 500m
-
nerf rapid brutality!
-
The Dead by Daylight team is aware of this issue and is looking into it but can't give any concrete details as of right now.

I never pre-drop against Clown or Doctor. Doctor is my favorite killer to loop actually. I'm good enough to not rely on that. Also, you do realize survivors are hindered massively whilst carrying the turrets that spawn NEXT to the gens?
lol the amount of times I get caught out of position because I have this stupid turret in my hand and between activating the turret station, actually grabbing it, then walking a few steps to place it meanwhile this xeno is halfway out of the tunnel and there's just not enough time to drop it and run somewhere safe and tada free hit
-
really awful killer to play against tbh
most loops are pointless considering his tail can go over ######### like a car and can completely miss by a mile and just swipe and hit you anyways
turrets lol, they just destroy it and resume chase like nothing, I've gotten no distance by the time he destroys it
-
I feel like this happens to me more often than not. Dunno if it's my controller buttons that don't register the input of me running or the butto but it literally won't activate. I'm obviously not trying to use it when exhausted either, it just literally doesn't happen.

Which, to a degree I feel like it can be a healthy balance. Killers are able to easily counter act it by taking out the boon or just hooking. I’m just really upset about it because I spent money for just that perk. It feels like a waste now that it is gone.
there are so many stronger killer perks that could be leveled and I don’t understand why those aren’t being talked about within the community.
this is too hard for killers to do
