  • I quit this game because of the grind and the stress it causes trying to eek out some extra points. Its long past being an issue. I feel sorry for anyone who tries to get into the game.

  • What i find funny is the amount of complaining about compound 21 when ooo exisits.

When i feel like it. I can turn on unlimited, superior c21 and then tell everyone else what's happening.

If i run ooo, bond, open handed I'm just the lookout for the team telling then every move the killer makes and every time he comes my way i just w away from him until he gives up. How many games have i and friends walked out never getting hooked? A lot.

C21 is only effective if you group up giving health states away. If the blight has too chase each person after hook at different Gen's the power Is still on survivors side.

This game really needs swf taken out of ranked and put into non ranked. Then, certain "op" things for solo play like c21 can be blocked from use. This will never happen of course but it's what should happen.

  • The grind associated with the game is the main reason I play it less often. Anything that would lessen the grind would be welcome. Sorry, can't change your mind.

  • My survivor build

Bond, open handed, detective hunch, self care.

    My doctor build

    Thanaphobia, sloppy butcher, bbq, whispers

Don't know about them being unique, just what i use.

  • I play like 20 matches a week. I haven't unlocked all the perks I want yet. Prestige in practically worthless to me.

Without corrupt I'm starting to think there isn't a way for me to slow down the gen rush

This is just my insight. You have to incentivize inefficient behavior.

For example, sloppy butcher across an entire game will eat up a ton of time if they heal.

Thanaphobia over a game adds up to a lot of time if they do or dont heal.

Ruin+ undying will add search time, breaking time, gen regression and some vision.

You take perks that will compliment the way you play, not just because they are 'meta'.

Sloppy isnt effective when you find and tunnel 1person till you hook them then search for the next person. Pop is better with this play style.

Surge is really good if you make downs near gens often.

The better and more efficient the survivors the more creative you have to be in stopping their progress.

Yes I definitely disagree with THIS particular method being a thing in the game. It’s unhealthy and do you remember when Pyramid Head had the ability to see cage auras? EVERY match was like that on EVERY platform and it was complained on these forums for a good time and it got fixed right away. But as you can tell from the video, it did not get fixed entirely so it’s going to leave people upset because we thought the Devs had fixed it but OBVIOUSLY not.

    2 things.

    1. If the killer was using Iridescent Seal of Metatron it would reveal the cage location since the survivor in the cage is still tormented.

    2. The cage essentially spawns across the map from your location making it easy to guess the location anyways.

Since you don't have video of what the killer saw you only have assumptions that it was a bug.

  • The bp grind is one the things that keeps this game as my secondary game. Tightening up the bloodwebs or changing how they function would make a world of difference. No tier 1 or 2 perk to unlock in web. Let players choose addons or items when they move around in the web rather than hoping what they want is generated somewhere. Any improvements to this system would help retain newer players better as they don't have to feel gimped as long as they currently do.

Legacy players with 1000's of addons stacked don't care anyways but having more players staywill ultimately help the game.

  • The only entitlement here is that of the survivor. So many ways to still save the person: flashlights, hook blocking, sabo, for the people, and more im missing i would bet.

Instead of swarming the cage and expecting the killer to just let you save the person, leave the game. You aren't entitled to be saved, the killer isn't entitled to the kill. It comes down to who has the better play, its pvp. Deal with it.

  • Feel free to send 100 million to my account maybe I'll finally drop bbq from my builds.

I constantly see dumb ass killer mains tunneling, camping, and down right being dumb as hell because they're mad at survivors. They constantly use gen rushing or SWF as an excuse to do these things but what else are survivors supposed to do? Doing gens is the objective, why are you mad? SWF shouldn't even be an issue. If you can't counter a well coordinated team that says something about YOU as a killer. YOU'RE bad. Survivors don't owe you easy games because you're too brain dead to do your job efficiently. Survivors shouldn't have a disadvantage because they want to play a TEAM BASED game with their friends and work as a TEAM.

It's not camping or tunneling. It's 99'ing the survivors life state. Strategy. Play better get wrekt less.

  • I like dbd too, but vermintide is just a better game. When I get off work it's either run against red teams that I can't catch unless I play spirit or slaughter thousands of rats and burn chaos warriors alive. I would play dbd more if ai was an option.

This has been a long-standing thing for years. Using a controller and using a mouse & keyboard are completely different skill-sets.

One thing that I would like to see these PC elitists do is actually pick up a controller, plug it into their PC's and see how well THEY do.

I've been playing console for 18 years, and I've never seen so much prejudice towards console users. I mean, we're all gamers and we have enough sh*t to deal with externally. I don't see why we now need to divide OURSELVES further.

I play survivor on pc with a ps4 controller and do ok. Mouse and keyboard feels wrong as a survivor so I don't use it. I'm also not bad mouthing console players, so I guess I'm not the target audience.

  • I think swf should be relegated to a bot killer non competitive mode where you pick the killer difficulty to play against. Leave ranked play as solo.

After they combine all the platforms, let people who really want a challenge play against godlike ai or people who are drunk chatting play against beginner mode ai as they so choose. But in ranked play it's solo experience.

I would say ai mode still accumulates BP like ranked, maybe give ranked more rewards to encourage people to play it. Just my thoughts on the matter.

I started playing on pc around the time of the 4th anniversary event when everyone was using 4th year cake offerings and I grinded for all the perks I wanted. I got roughly half of all the killers teachable perks in that time and had cakes to spare to keep the grind up. Now that I've past the 200 hours mark I feel like there is still so much more to be done. I have all killer teachable perks except for the huntress which I am working on now and have started getting all the survivor teachable perks. Once I get all the teachable perks though I have to grind bp to continue to get the perks I want on all the characters I want to play.

The blood web system is a mess with how many useless items you get as survivor, and how many small blood point bonus offerings you get all both roles it almost makes it feel pointless to level up at times.

Another big problem is the shear difference in bp from killer to survivor, why do killers on average get way more bloodpoints? Why is the game designed like this where if you get wronged in a match (tunnel, camping, mori, slugging, etc.) you get punished? If you are playing swf and this happens to you, you have to wait an entire match if you die first and only come out with enough bp to get a few useless items.

I can't imagine what the grind is like for new players that didn't have the luxury of the 4th anniversary event. Are we ever going to see changes to this system? Or are we banished to the grind dimension forever.

It may be easier to get BP as a killer but the sink is much deeper as killer as well. For survivors, you really only need to hit 40 on anything that isn't your main. Since survivors are all the same with the exception of looks. Killers, if you want to play them with the Perks require many lvl 50 passes to get the Perks you want. Of course, if you don't want to play a killer then they also only need 40'd.

I agree, however, the grind is very intense and really unnecessary overall.

I agree. The devs are completely lost. Also this new matchmaking system that "ranks don't matter" is clearly not working so far. So far its clear that ranks do matter even if it is just a bit. Matches are getting ridiculous

Depends on your perspective. Since I play at 4 am est after work, every game is a ######### show when it comes to matching with similarly skilled people, it's always been that way. Last night after work, I got home and tried to do a daily for clown. Kill a survivor by your hand. My clown is level 1,so I put 400kbp into him to get a mori. I ended up getting 2 of the kill last survivor one. In the 2 games I played, I got zero kills and like 5 hooks total.

I'm a r10 killer atm and all the survivors were 5 or better. This is completely normal almost every match I play for as long as I can remember.

I guess this long winded response was simply my way of saying, it's never mattered in my experience, now it just seems like more people are being impacted.

  • If getting a 4k is a hindrance then I need more objectives to make the game play more fun.

Camping is a thing. Gen rushing is not. Survivors only have one objective... Complete gens... Its not a survivors fault if the killer isn't good enough to catch them

Camping is not a thing, Gen rushing is not a thing. Killers only have 1 objective, to kill survivors. So when I 99 a survivor on the hook it's not camping its doing my objective.

It's not the killer fault if the survivors aren't organized enough to save the survivor.

  • As a survivor main, who has been 99ing everything in existence, old camping Bubba most closely emulated the survivor experience of sitting and holding a button waiting for something to happen. So that's what I did.

  • I like how people are modeling this as a result of the new system. I as a killer found myself playing almost exclusively against red rank survivors for as long as I can remember.

In the last few weeks, I remember a game against 3 red 1 blue with my level 1 clown at rank 10. I managed 3 hooks, no kills all while being clicked and tea bagged for most of the match.

With this new system I've played 2 matches so far. 1 was a mix of red green yellow where they let each other die on first hook.

The second I let them complete the gens and escape after completing my daily with spirit all 4 were green. So while I am currently getting matched against less experienced people, the matches don't feel completely out of my ability like they normally did pre mmr rollout. Only time will tell as more matches are done.

I think it's the challenges and their appeal to my completionism that keeps maxing me out. If you're especially low on BP, try some challenges with some bouquet / wreath offerings?

My issue is simple. I play maybe 20 matches a week and sometimes I don't play at all. Running through a dozen lvl 50 blood webs to rng the perk I'm looking for is often a source of annoyance.

  • I have maybe 6 survivors and 3 killers at level 1. I have the inverse problem of having no where near enough BP.
