Do you camp?
Whether it be for strategy or just to facecamp for fun or anything of the sort. No judgment, I'm just curious how many killers do consciously camp.
There's only two scenarios when I camp (I am rank 3 atm, I main spirit and meme buba/myers)
1) It's a confirmed toxic SWF and I manage to get one in the basement. It's sadistic joy watching a SWF move heaven and earth trying to save their friend in the basement. It almost becomes an entirely different game. This is rare and happens less than 10% of my games.
2) I have zero kills and the gates are powered: If I down one, obviously I am going to camp. At that point it's the most logical thing to do. If you don't, what are you going to do? Take a coin toss and hope you run into someone else or go to the right gate? I don't ever use NOED btw
That doesn't mean I can't patrol hooks but I won't just randomly face camp. That's how you lose the game.

My guess is that you are low rank. And yes, there is camping in low ranks. My suggestion is to join a group you can SWF with and keep playing, so you can climb out of camping ranks. I very rare to see purple and red rank killers camp. As for tunneling... Happens in all ranks, so your best bet is to play with SWF who know how to unhook safely and coordinate hook states, as well as equip anitunnel perks.
I'm not OP but I'm rank 3 for both roles and I just got the game July 1st (Steam sale). This game is "easy", but that being said, the "solo queue survivor" ranges from absolute garbage to great once in a while.
But ever since crossplay was enabled, I've noticed console killers will expedite kills ASAP. Many of them camp, and many of them mori spam on down 2 (one hook). It's dumb and I used to love this game back in the low ranks but then when I unlocked all the meta perks for both sides and got really good, I realized this game is extremely "meh" at high level play. But I still play it.
But the crossplay tunnel+camp+mori makes the game demoralizing. I don't want to log on and I am almost done my rift/battle pass, but I'm contemplating permanently uninstalling. I got my 300 hours worth, maybe it's just time to move on.

claudettes and megs always chain hook farm their allies and let them go to stage 3 sacrifice in the span of 30 seconds.

Ok, here are some basic counters to things people find anoying or uncounterable, hope this helps someone.
Perks:
- NOED: Do totems, help yourself with Small Game if you're having that much trouble with this perk, if it pops, just leave, don't play hero unless you don't care if you die in the process (I play hero all the time, hehehe)
- PGTW: Repressed Alliance, you can't repair the gen for 30 seconds but the killer can't kick it either and get the progress down.
Killers:
- Spirit: Fixated, as soon as she phases walk TOWARDS her, she'll lose you 9/10 times.
- Freddy: Fixated, if he teleports to your gen, Fixate into cover, don't run
- Trapper: Small Game (hope it gets a buff to see auras of abjects detected someday) can help you detect traps
- Bubba: Keep running, they have the "mental glitch" of starting the chainsaw close to a pallet cause they know you're dropping it (I'll share a vid of how to do so as a comment)
- Legion: Learn to 360, when in sprint, cause of his speed, it's easier to dodge
- Huntress: Crouch when she throws the Axe, it works more if there's a structure between you both. Don't run in a straight line.
- Plague: CLEANSE, if she grabs corrupt HIDE, those are long but easy games if you do this
- Myers: There's no counter, you're doomed (nah, he's my nemesis, I always die to him, I can't give advice against him). Spine Chill maybe? I say "maybe" cause once he changes tiers it's practically a wasted perk
- Ghost Face: Spine Chill
- Pig: Spine Chill
- Billie: He's dead now, but I'd say SPLIT, don't let him get multiple downs by staying close to each other
- Pyramid Head: Crouch, if you crouch through his marks it doesn't affect you. NEVER run in a straight line.
Share any tip you'd like others to know, lets help each other.
As a spirit main, I try to fake/mind game a phase walk to every survivor at least once. 70% of the time, they fall for it and just walk towards me. This is kinda dangerous advice to give to people,

Until you have at least 20 hours on a killer and experimented with multiple perk builds, I really think people should not comment.
I thought Michael was "Severely" underpowered when I first tried him, then kept playing....

grey area. Doubt you'd get banned but honestly I would be pissed if you were in my game. A few people have done this to me and it's essentially trolling really.

Typically players will suck and/or not use something to full potential at release. You might want to give the killer a few days before judging it so harshly.
I've seen posts like this time and time again in other games and it turns out the player base just doesn't know how to use the new toy.

Just modify it so No Mither causes 50% slower Blood Orb drop for Oni. This is still a net gain for oni because you are constantly bleeding orbs no matter what. Plus Oni gets massive chunks of his M2 bar from simple melee swings.
I understand, likely that this was an overlooked perk when Oni was designed or they just didn't want to re-balance the park. And ofc...it's a meme perk and it's probably at the bottom of things for them to look at.
Sadly until they fix this, and oni becoming more popular, I'm going to have to just play with sweaty gen rush/DS set ups.

But shouldnt sloppy butcher increase the amount of blood orbs as well? Otherwise it isnt logical to reduce or remove the blood orbs with no mither.
But it's not logical from a Player Experience POV or Perk balancing stand point to have a perk work against you so hard that it gives free M2 Power to a killer.
With no mither on against an Oni, you are literally griefing your team and feeding the killer by definition.

Maybe if behaviour bans Everyone that uses that cheat or fix that cheat to see which killer they are facing.
Otherwise no.
Then set it to reduce oni blood orb bleeding to like 50%, otherwise this perk is 100% complete garbage. So bad because it literally feeds one of the killers and becomes an "Anti Perk".

What if it was a SWF that ran No Mither and it was against an Oni, that would really break him.
I didn't consider that, but that's true.
Well, I guess I'm never going to run no mither ever again. ######### me for trying to have "fun" though. Fun in a video game. Heresy!!!!!!!! /s
Salty Killers and Killer Only players. You wonder why all the sweats only use DS/Unbreakable/Deadhard etc? This thread is your answer. I try to have fun and play non optimal but get punished for doing so.

I mean if you're going for a save while youre the only other person and they have NOED, that just seems like suicide, I tend to like to atleast try to go for the end game saves, and thats why I try to do as many totems as I can during the trial, then again unless its a daily ritual or Im going for an adept I dont really mind if I live or die, so sometimes I'll go for the save even if NOED's still up. Just dont expect you'll get out if you go for risky saves and you won't be disappointed.
oh I didn't expect to get out or live....but there's no reward and the score at the end doesn't reflect this Miracle/clutch save. That's what I'm getting at
