Cause surprise attacks help keep the game in line with the horror genre. They also feel so much better than watching the killer approach after x-seconds of warning. There shouldn't be any point in a match where you feel secure enough to dismiss danger.

So you should basically never do anything in-game against a Spirit with prayer beads, got it. If you touch a generator, she can instantly grab you with no indication whatsoever that she was ever anywhere near.

Insane there are people defending this. Probably none of you ever play survivor, which is 80% of the player base. Might as well advocate for letting the spirit use her ability nonstop and be able to see survivors through it with no sound or indication, just to be hit repeatedly by an invisible soundless creature and downed, because that's as much regard as you all show for balance.

It's literally the only thing she has. Leave the Spirit and her addons alone.

Riiiight, 'cause her base ability where she's already invisible with no auditory signal of where she is isn't already extremely strong.

the prayer beads are a very rare add on. this means, that you will not see these very often in the normal game, as they are pretty rare to be found in the bloodweb.

besides that, once you know its a spirit, being aware of your surroundings is often a great indicator to weather she is coming or not. watch crows or grass, as she will disturb the birds and move the grass while phasing.

i also agree with @DemonDaddy here. this is a horror game. jumpscares are a common thing in the horror genre.
just enjoy getting scared once in a while and later on laugh about it.

They're in 3/4 of the games I run into with her at rank 1. It's not scary to instantly be downed with no terror radius, nothing in sight, no sound, nothing whatsoever if I'm letting someone heal me. That's frustrating, for good, rational reason, not scary.

These forums are really just to back up the devs, though, apparently, that's pretty much all that I ever see in the comments replying to actually have the devs balance the game, in a board that's all about that as a topic.

There is no other killer who comes close to having such a broken add-on.

How many second chances do survivors need?

The point of the whole hook system is basically a three life system. Will never understand how killers complain about "second chances".

On console, but not on PC, there is a dumb feature that if you’re the last survivor left in the game and you get hooked, you insta-die. Even if you’ve never been hooked. Guess what just happened to me? I had deliverance and the exit gates were powered and everyone else left. I got hooked. Guess what? I didn’t get a chance to use my deliverance. Wow! Great feature devs! Useless perk.

That's on PC as well. What made you think it wasn't?

How would that work against slow release toxin

Apply the effect with a timer. upon either the trap being put on their head or upon being unhooked after.

    @WaffleFalafel said:
Is this specifically a Doctor complaint or other killers like Huntress as well?

Doctor's the one that they're most clearly broken with in my personal experience, maybe pig as well, since it leaves survivors with little to no defense against tunneling, which is where these addons are particularly troublesome.

Having them with all with a timer that counts down while running would solve it for all killers, though, with doctor making someone in madness 3 revert to 2 was just a suggestion.

Killers simply should not be able to just make a perk inapplicable for a chase, and with Doctor, literally all he has to do is be around you to do it.

    Counterplay

If you dont run exhaustion perks, his addon is completely useless

Why is everybody trying to get doc nerfed to freddy lvl now?

    Great, coherent, constructive response, thanks.

About as reasonable as suggesting people run no mither to counter NOED.

  • I only agree in the sense that a tunneling doctor can stop you from using your exhaustion perk for the entirety of the game with his exhaustion addon, since you're still in madness 3 when unhooked.

  • You can use the perk, just not when using your ability. Why do you feel it would be balanced for an invisible killer with no auditory sign of where they are to be able to down someone healing?

    First:
    You can hide.
    Second:
Nurse is the only killer with skill impact.
If the killer player have more skill than the survivors, then he can win the game.
The other 12 killers dont have this.
The killer player can have more skill than the survivors, but when he play Pig(just an example), he can still lose the game.

This is why she's a near-perfect Killer, from a design perspective, and why Survivors hate her so much.

Nurse is the most broken killer, far from "near-perfect". If you're consistently at rank 1 right after reset each month, you will continuously go against nurses who have quite literally zero counter. Breaking line of sight does nothing, doubling back does nothing, mindgaming in the corners of the map does nothing. There is zero counter whatsoever for an experienced nurse player.

Every killer should be able to down a survivor, you should not be able to be looped for 5 gens, etc., this is all obvious. But a killer who can teleport twice through barriers instantaneously is a fundamentally flawed concept for a game where the barriers are a survivor's only real defense, at least with it's current execution.

Survivors hate Nurse because she's fundamentally unfair.

Her power is rewarding to use correctly and punishing if used incorrectly. However, for all her power helps during a chase, it does nothing to help her find or track Survivors.
Note how your complaints only focus around the fact that she's good during a chase, ignoring the fact that there's a key aspect of the game that Survivors failed at in order for a chase to even begin: stealth. Chases don't happen unless you failed to hide.

Hiding is not a viable strategy in DBD. You can't finish generators while hiding. Survivors who use stealth as their strat are virtually always the dead weight of the team who never do anything. People who promote stealth as as strat never play survivor.

    @KingSavageGaming said:
Nerf the only viable killer that requires skill no we don't need every killer to be a joke

Yes, muscle memory and looking where you want to go sure is skillful with no viable counterplay.

  • That's a little bit much. I'd add something like showing the killer's aura for as long as BBQ does, since BBQ has the BP bonus and the aura reading, while WGLF only has the BP bonus. That would probably be enough to make it more worth using.

  • The hooking system mechanic seem to be based upon a three lives sort of system. Your job as killer isn't necessarily to prevent unhooks, but moreso to intercept them. I'm not sure how debuffing someone who's already closer to death is exactly reasonable.

The point of pallets and windows is to extend a chase, those are the only concrete defense that a survivor has.

If you're getting looped for five generators, I'd recommend looking up some youtube videos for tips, or changing your loadout to something that fits your play style better.

Maps are really all RNG/luck. You may wind up with one that has a lot of pallets, which is very favorable for survivors, or one with a lot of L-walls and T-walls, which is very favorable for killers.

Survivors keep nerfing for 8 month over and over what are u talking about?
P.s: I only disagree with vault nerf

What a ridiculous argument. I hear this over and over and over in gaming forums.

"They already nerfed vayne, she's balanced now"

    • Still has 60%+ winrate

    -another nerf comes

"omg they already nerfed her, she sucks now"

    -Still has 58%+ winrate

Put into DBD Survivors were let's say at 120% of the intended power level, if a patch brings them down to 115% then they're still more powerful and still need more nerfs. All of the nerfs so far were baby-glove nerfs that didn't fix the core issue of the game because the devs are afraid of the backlash

What planet are you living on? The last stats the devs showed had a ~2.5 avg kills per game. Which is BEFORE the constant survivor nerfs.
