Self-Care: All healing action speeds are reduced by 45%/35%/25%. This action speed penalty replaces the previous Self-care penalty (-50% speed) and applies a flat penalty to ALL healing actions.

I'm fairly perplexed by this proposed perk changed as well - I suppose it's an attempt to curb so many people running Self-care but that is a very awkward way to go about it. It actually promotes less altruism of healing another player just because you have it and god forbid someone isn't running the perk. Now you're chasing someone who is refusing to heal you because he has a 25% penalty and it's a waste of their time.

If the goal is to have no one running self-care other than the most selfish of survivors sure... but if they're trying to nerf it then just make the self healing speed even slower to promote people healing one another "when possible" and running things like Empathy, Bond, Leader etc (Perk diversity? In my christian home?)

  • Honestly as someone who plays Killer - I do not want to see Ruin or even Noed buffed in any way as they have a very appropriate counterplay associated with them considering their powerful effects. Discounting SWF - Solo survivors still have to deal with both of them constantly usually just opting to ignore Ruin completely as it's not worth running around looking for it and just power through generators.

Devour Hope is fun to use but it's purpose is to be a snowbally perk that if it were to be buffed at all I would be ok with a 1% movement speed buff per token when it was destroyed.

Third Seal - It shouldn't add a permanent ability to blind to your attacks as that's a bit much but I do like everyone being blinded for 20~30 seconds when the totem is destroyed much in a haunted ground fashion. Going against Legions with this build (or when anyone trying to slug uses it) has created a sense of terror so giving the killer a chance to swap from slugging strategy when he ran 3rd Seal + Deerstalker already would make it a bit more attractive.

Huntress Lullaby with that power on a 3 gen Doctor with Unnerving Presence, Overcharge and that would be maddening and basically unplayable for a vast majority of players. I would prefer something one time like All generators simultaneously explode/regress one time when the totem is destroyed (meaning if there are any partially done generators they now begin regressing even while you're chasing unless someone taps them etc). Or even explode just the ones that people are working on to giving the killer immediate intel on some locations once.

Thrill of the Hunt - the alert for totems being worked on is fine and longer cleansing speed but the Bloodpoint bonus "should not" be negated if the totem is destroyed - that by itself will make the perk be used more often especially if other hexes get buffed.

  • Bit strange that you seemed to be basing this list off just their base powers without any add-ons then you mention addons throughout (like in the Huntress section). I still agree with most of your list and points though I put Clown higher with addons.

Clown with Redhead's Pinky Finger and something like Solvent to create Exhaustion just ends chases instantly and puts him at top tier for me.

Huntress has a similar effect on Berux Toxin that I see on a few good Huntresses but not as common as Clown considering you can run Hindered on the Axe instead. They can also just down people with Iridescent + Infantry or Rusty Head (combined with Nurse's)

Meyers with J. Myers Mem. (or even Judith's Journal) + Tuft of Hair is a potent 100% oneshot build then you just take tracking perks like BBQ, Whispers and likely Enduring/Spirit Fury to just steamroll teams.

If we're talking about optimal addons and map then Doctor "should" be much higher on that list as just one of the most aggravating things to go up against - especially with shock outright preventing you from jumping a window or palette when you need it to and everyone's position constantly being announced.

Legion with Frank's Mixtape and Iridescent Button - is actually fairly fast at downing folks and has full map tracking (chase anyone close and bleed them too) which puts him somewhere in the middle range. Still not particularly my favorite killer but it is what it is.

Cannibal is pretty aggravating if you can't get to a window loop and he has fast chainsaw and faster movement in saw mode with this like Award Chili and Carb Tuning Guide but he's forced to run things like Bamboozle as vaults will screw him. I still keep him in the middle range just due to his one shot but I honestly prefer going against "Bubba" over like 8~9 other killers.

Hag is definitely powerful but you're putting her way up there... unless you consider effective use of Mint Rag to counter people using flashlights or urban evasion/normal crouching. Any time hag is remotely busy you just run through and trigger as many traps as possible and she's stuck doing them mid chase again - and if she's putting them down mid chase then you just run to another loop - continuing to trap multiple loops wastes time. Like I said anyone who sees this happening can then trigger as many traps as possible while hag is chasing or even downing the other guy UNLESS mint rag is being used very effectively.

Freddy with Paint Thinner (Basically Windstorm from Wraith) and Pill Bottle... who am I kidding he's still gimmicky and somewhere in the bottom 4~5 with Amanda and Wraith. I like Trapper's playstyle personally but he's also somewhere down there at the bottom even with his repeated buffs and addons like Bloody Coil. I am aware there is potential for Freddy beyond being a M1 hunter but just sheer RNG of checks and reliance on mind games puts him at best a mediocre Spirit's play.

Quick list from me including perks and addons

Top: Nurse, Billy, Huntress, Spirit, Clown
Middle: Meyers, Doctor, Legion, Hag, Cannibal
    Bottom: Pig, Freddy, Wraith, Trapper

I use this method as Legion, and while it's hardly something that grants you a win (takes too long), it does grant you an occasional hook with little effort. The problem is not how strong this mechanic makes Legion (it doesn't) as much as it's an incredibly stupid and offputting mechaninc: even though realism is obviously not as important as balance and interesting gameplay, following someone while looking down or reversing is just plain ridiculous.

I don't have a solution ready, but I believe it lies somewhere in fine tuning the new Deep Wound mechanic. Maybe no blood (hey, it's supposed to be "internal bleeding" anyway), but in the meanwhile, chase does not stop the Deep Wound meter. I don't know it would work, but I agree with you @ZCerebrate , it's just a silly way of playing.

Thank you. I may have lost that somewhere in my ramblings but by no means is this something that makes Legion an overpowered killer for decisively killing everyone but the emblem system rewards this "offputting playstyle" so people will continue to do it. This could maybe be treated close to "facecamping" and shouldn't allow the killer to guarantee himself a black pip or +1 pip to rank and if players don't care about rank then it should not reward 15~20k+ Bloodpoints before offerings even if 2~3 people escape

    NO

Let legion at least have this one

I mean they could buff him slightly somewhere else like his base non-powered movement speed can be put to normal killers or make it so his power doesn't immediately fade upon a hit on an already deep wounded character in exchange for not getting rid of more on the mend bar past the first hit (creates a situation where you keep chasing someone repeatedly stabbing him so he reveals all of his friends to you)

This would still have the option to cancel the power if you wish with a right click as it is now - just not forcibly knock you out of your Frenzy when you stab someone for Deep Wounds Bar damage.

Edit: Also this could inadvertently be a lateral buff for Legion who can now tell WHEN you are mending if he lost sight of you and the bar isn't moving.

  • Just having ingame voice comms or even text would bring solo players to the same level - then killers could be "buffed" to reasonable spots to make up for this added coordination. SWF is a huge part of multiplayer games and wanting to play with friends - I understand the appeal and why it would be a turn off for a vast majority of casual players to implement a direct nerf to them.

If Behavioral has already committed to making the game as accessible as possible for casual players (confirmed multiple times that they aren't trying to cater to the super pros and making every killer/perk setup equally good) then they really need to start with ingame text chat and ingame voice with the option to mute/block as needed (plus it would grow the community further as you get to meet people and game with them aka bringing more players in and retaining others).

Once again you obviously you buff certain killers perks and powers to make up for this after the fact since everyone effectively becomes a "swf" of varying levels.

  • It's a recent visual bug too where it looks like you're sliding around even after you get downed or hit for the first time. Been coming up a lot since Legions release from my experience (not saying it didn't exist before but coming up more often now)
