  • Devs always know best. They were warned this would happen, but went ahead with the update anyway. I think this was their vision tbh.

  • I can't be sure, but my guess would be they've had a few bad games in a row? When I played an hour of survivor earlier today, in maybe 4 out of 5 matches the first person to get hooked got tunneled out anyway, so they're just doing what was inevitable. I can't even blame them at this point.

  • It's worse than ever. Killers camp and tunnel then ask survivors why they gen rush. Every survivor is using lithe or sprint burst, because dead hard got nerfed. Apparently waiting out 0.5 seconds was too much. Gens fly by. 90% of the perks are useless, so the Devs nerf the 10% that aren't.

    Dear Behavior,

I know you love your little moles, sluggers and campers so very much and are never ever going to do anything to stop them.

However its kind of bummer to get like 5k blood points cause you couldn't do anything because said little ray of sunshine is currently hitting your body on hook.

Can we get some "Hey sorry about that guy, he likes to pull wings off of bugs and this is the healthiest outlift for his behaviors." points it would make the sting less painful for solo.

    Your Friend,

    Luthir Fontaine.

I'd be happy if they just fixed pipping. I have two types of games recently. 1, I never get hit or have a chase because killer is far too concerned with tunneling. 2, I'm camped at 5 gens. How can I possibly pip without a chase and how can I pip if I'm being camped.

Like you said though, Devs don't give a flying fook.

  • Haha it's more scary than anything the Devs have come up with in the last few years.

  • For me it's the Devs that are destroying the game. They've managed to change it so much that right now DBD is just a place holder until another game comes along to take its place.

I've spend quite a lot of cash in the past supporting the game, but I stopped that and haven't spent a single pound on it recently. They're throwing out DLCs that are sh*t, they're changing perks, they're cash grabbing, etc.

In my opinion, the game is in the worst state I've ever known. Gens flying by in minutes and killers camping/tunneling every game. (Amongst other things - SM) This isn't the players fault, the blame lays directly with the Devs.

Do I still play? Yep, until something else comes along.

Would I recommend it? Absolutely not! 90% of my friends have already left the game. Why would I recommend putting anyone through this..

  • It's not even that strong. Personally, I don't think it needs a nerf.. But yeah I'm sure they will do, because they've already said it's about numbers.

I'd hate to think of what's left perk wise when they've finished destroying everything.

  • I wouldn't mind a mini game while repairing gens. Like having to connect wires to other wires. Make them colour coded or something and if we get them wrong, it blows up. Sitting on gens is boring as hell.

And then killers wonder why survivors bring perks and items to do gens faster.. cause they're the most boring part of dbd. 🫤

Most killers struggle due to the size. Fractured Cowshed is infamous because of it's ridiculous setups.

As for the Op's question, the maps aren't bugged. If we're just banning things people don't like I'd like to submit my list.

Thank you. I thought with op saying kill switch that there was something not working right.

That's how BHVR is changing this game atm.

They are releasing new survivor perks which will work better with SWF.

They are nerfing self-heal and not touching altruistic heal which will work better with SWF.

They are creating 3-gen holder type killers and their counter is coordinated teams. And surprise, you need SWF for it.

They are not touching camp & tunnel strategies because SWF teams can beat this with coordinate. Solo survivors? Who cares them.

It is like play SWF or leave atm, so i am not happy with how is DbD after latest patches.

I couldn't have said it better. Whoever is in charge does seem like they enjoy people being miserable. I wonder if there have been some changes at the top of Behaviour. For the last year or so, updates, perk reworks and new killers have been either completely ######### or extremely questionable.

  • What's actually wrong with the map(s)? I've never had a problem with them personally.

  • My issue isn't Wesker as such, as boring as he is.. Its the people who play him. It's like reading a book. You know what they're gonna do, how they're gonna do it, what perks they're using. Who they're tunneling out first etc.. does get a little tiresome.

And I always cringe when he says "I expected more from you".. I'm like dude, I've just ran you for 5 gens!

  • The only time I genuinely see a DC is if said survivor is being camped or tunneled. Personally, I'd waste their time and stay alive as long as possible, but I can also understand why one would DC in that situation. Stop the tunneling and camping and I think you'd see a huge reduction in DC's.

I do think penalties should be in place though, but it's ridiculous that sometimes someone's internet goes out and they end up with a 10 min ban.

When dead hard was nerfed I started using sprint first in a couple of my builds. I started noticing that a lot of killers would ignore me which intern hurt my team. I’m not saying that this is 100% what’s happening in all your games just sharing my experience with Sprint burst.

I've always used Lithe or Spring Burst as my main exhaustion perk, as I preferred it over DH. So, it could be but I doubt it. I think it's more likely to be Distortion. But then I could understand that, only I always take agro if someone is struggling, being tunneled, on last hook etc.

  • Nah. Let's move away from the whole resident evil thing.

  • Nah, I don't think it's the best idea. A hex is high risk high reward. Undying is the closest you're gonna get.

  • @ironblade said:

Yes, please, ignore my hex totems. By all means.

Never! Not with the Over Zealous offering 20% extra gen speed for taking out a lit totem. 🙂

    1) Just because people say something is OP, does not make it true.

    2) More us Vs them nonsense.

Coming from a completely impartial place, judging by your photo, I see.. 🙂

There were balance changes for both sides in this most recent update. That said, this really isn't a fair comparison. You're trying to link balance changes for one side to something completely unrelated on the other. You could apply the same logic to absolutely anything to create a constantly moving goalpost that we can never possibly reach. In the end, there's only so much time in between updates for us to make changes. If we waited until we changed everything we could ever want at once, you would be waiting multiple years before seeing any changes at all. That's simply not an option.

If you feel like The Blight is too strong, you can always say that. Give a couple reasons why you think that's the case and it'll stand on its own. But bringing up something completely unrelated doesn't help your case.

But you must know this is the case. There are a plethora of people who've stated why blight is OP right now, especially since the nerfs to healing. Your reply just comes off as snobbery, the same way most replies from killer mains do.

I play 50/50, and playing blight feels super easy to get a 4k (with certain add-ons), especially in comparison with some other killers.

  • I don't have an issue with Wesker as a killer, my issue is that it's usually poorly skilled players who play him and they just camp and tunnel. I just feel a bit cringe for them.

  • I thought one night about how I'd do it if I was developing the game from the ground up. I didn't come up with anything much, but why should I, I'm not their developer. But I do think it would solve the problem. Not sure how you'd fit it in to the dbd lore though.

Either a perk or basekit that teleports the player to a safezone if they're hit within X amount of seconds of being unhooked. And their aura can't be read. It would force the killer to search the map, so why would they bother tunneling and waste more time?

Camping on the other hand. Just make the hooked survivor teleport between hooks if the killer is face camping for X amount of seconds and freeze the timer for a while.

Again I don't know how you'd write this in to lore, but i do think it would force killers to stop camping and tunneling. All bets are off in end game though, obviously. 😉

  • Personally, I've never been bothered about "winning". The game doesn't mean enough to me for me to sweat. The way some killers play, you'd think their life depends on it. It's hilarious. I just play to have fun.

  • I don't have a problem with people tunneling. If that's what you need to do to make yourself feel good, go for it. But when the Devs actually do something about it in a future update, because that's all that's being talked about on the forums and people are so proud of it, don't be shocked and don't start sulking.

  • The one thing I've noticed is more and more killers disconnecting because they can't keep up, but I'm sure once MMR fixes it's self, they'll enjoy it again. The changes stop people with a lack of skill (on both sides) from getting an easy win. If I play survivor, I'll throw those gens out, because killer is gonna tunnel anyway and a survivor is going to DC usually, so I'll get them done as fast as possible. If I play killer, I don't sweat my ass off and I don't tunnel. I will camp once all gens are done, if I haven't had a kill. But in general I play for fun. I don't care if I win or lose, as long as I don't depip.

  • I'd be happy for them to remove BNP, as long as they remove hook grabs for healthy survivors. Give and take.

  • I never used dead hard, but the medkit situation is a joke. I don't have an issue with the increased healing times, but medkits in general are as pathetic as keys now. I don't think the Devs have a clue.

    in update Comment by Wilx
  • I don't know a solution for your problem, but be careful merging. It completely resets your MMR (or at least it did for me) ended up playing with potatoes for a while.

  • I think everyone who owns the game has a right to review however they want.

If I was developing a killer for any other company and I sent them the Skull Merchant (the way it was on release and the way it is now) they'd want a refund and they'd leave me a terrible review. That's all that's happened here.

Oh and the fact they keep messing with perks every few months. We're all getting used to different perks again now, but I'd put money on them nerfing them in the future, instead of fixing the core problems within the game itself.

I genuinely wouldn't recommend this game to a friend, and I've recommended it many times in the past.

  • I only really get the whole 3 gen thing with Skull Merchant. The ones I get usually take an offering for Grave Of Glenvale and if they don't get it, they'll sulk and DC. Very odd and a very boring gameplay. Devs probably won't do anything though, they'll blame a survivor perk or nerf pig. BHVR logic. 🙂

  • They'll go the same way everything else has gone. Nerfed in to the ground. I personally don't mind them, but I didn't see a problem with the gen regression perks or medkits, so I guess as far as the Devs are concerned, I'm part of the problem.

I feel like people always say this whenever anything that forces the meta to change. Hard to tell what will end up being the meta only 2 days in.

I can say with certainty that I've never complained or been discouraged from playing until recently. I'm not a new player, I've been around a while and we've had some ######### times and some great times, but the game right now is a mess.

These changes haven't just happened since the update, but rather since the update was announced. You go in to any survivor game and I guarantee that 90% of killers have sloppy (or similar perk) does this mean that the Devs will also nerf them now? Not the best business plan.

Should I as a pub landlord stop selling fosters because most of my punters drink it?

I literally had a hostage merchant stall the game long enough to where the server crashed.

I had it for about 45 minutes and just let her kill me, it wasn't worth it. The game is so broken right now.
