That's crazy because I'm sure I have witnessed these killers getting survivors running Mft. Hmm...interesting indeed.
Are you telling me you're getting outplayed by survivors holding W? That's...another problem I fear.
Of course mindgaming doesn't work on all the loops, do you expect to down every survivor in 4 seconds or..? In that case, just play custom games with bots. You're basically saying "I'm getting outplayed by better players and I do not like that", come on, have some shame.
Is it really outplayed when all they need to do is hold one key to gain a lot of time? Fact that you don't understand it is another problem I fear.
I am not getting outplayed by better players, I am annoyed survivors getting carried by a perk. But I guess you just like easy games and holding M1 on gens. Maybe try farming simulator, when you enjoy it so much :)

Behavior's recent obsession with haste needs to stop in general. They just slap haste on everything and it makes the game way too confusing for everyone. Sometimes you will get hit simply because you had no idea that the killer had haste and it caused you to misjudge a situation. That doesn't make the game fresh or exciting. It's just frustrating more than anything else. It goes against all of the muscle memory you've built up over time. It's even worse for newer players who don't react as well to what the killer is doing. There's a reason why she has a 70% kill rate.
There's a reason why she has a 70% kill rate.
It might matter when survivors stop giving up every other game. I think survivors are still hanging on old 3-gen merchant PTSD, so just don't want to play against it anymore, doesn't matter how you change her.
She is definetly better for survivors compare to old skull merchant, while still decent. She won't survive any nerfs, especially not major nerfs like removing movement speed bonus.

Oh, so you saying "you NEED specific killers/perks to counter Mft" was another lie, got it.
The only thing you need to counter Mft is good game sense and mindgaming, something post-wesker killers have no idea about, I noticed.
But I'd be very happy to see the stats showing how Mft screwed killers more than any other survivor perk to the point where they lost entire trials (because of Mft of course, not because they aren't skilled).
How is it lie exactly?
You have killers that get affected a lot by MFT, mainly Legion, Plague (counter is to stay injured, MFT makes it easier), Doctor (gets slowed by his power, hard to catch survivor), Huntress, Deathslinger, Trickster (there are loops where their power is not possible to use and MFT is hell to play against on those).
What game sense makes you catch survivor faster exactly? All they need to do is hold W.
Mindgaming doesn't work on all loops and gets harder if survivor knows check spots.

Interesting, concerning.
About these specific killers and perks...who and what are they? Because I'm pretty sure I haven't seen any killer getting his kills denied by a 3% boost, have you? Did you just install the game, maybe? That would explain your opinion.
Perks and Killers how to counter MFT? You can try to either apply Exhaustion, but most of perks for this are just bad, or play killer that can insta down / stealth.
Effectiveness of MFT changed a lot based on killer you play against. Are you new to dbd or something?

Just as expected, this post was ignored by the whole team. Because you know, killer mains feelings etc.
I had a pig slug the last 2 survivors for 0 reason a few weeks ago. She just went back and forth between the two of them, nodded, rince and repeat. There were hooks everywhere, she could have hooked them.
Sent a report with a video of the whole trial to Bhvr, they replied to me saying this wasn't a problem for them and she played within the game's guidelines. Yes, killers can nod at slugged survivors for 4 minutes and the Devs will tell you this is intended gameplay :)
a few weeks ago
such a regular gameplay that it's such a big issue for you.
1 game, in few weeks...
I have made players bleed out few times, but they all deserved it.

so getting maybe an extra loop at tiles with MFT is broken but getting fewer is balanced. lmao your bias is showing. where are all the scientists explaining how BHVR has precisely balanced loops and maps around base speeds and anything that changes those completely breaks the game? oh right, those goal posts moved the day the MFT nerf was announced, and now multiple killer haste perks/add ons/powers are fine...
What do you mean?
I just sayed it's something you can actually do to counter it. No need for extra perk, just basic gameplay.
That's how you play against many other killers, like Oni, or Clown.
You can't say same about MFT. You need specific killers, or perks to counter it.
Are you saying Batteries included is same / stronger than MFT? Otherwise it doesn't make sense what you just wrote.

The difference with Clown is that his speedboost requires more thought and more action on his part, unlike Skull Merchant's which is much more passive. Clown's speedboost requires him to use a bottle which then also has a short activation delay before it actually works, so it has to be planned and used strategically (and you can even give the buff to survivors if you misuse it). Bottles are also a limited resource he has to manage and reload often + every yellow bottle you use is one less slowdown bottle you have before you have to reload. And Invigoration only lasts 5 seconds by default which is not a super long time. Whereas Merchant can have constant 3% or 5% speed much more often with little to no effort.
Things you said about Clown can be used for merchant.
so it has to be planned and used strategically
Skull merchant needs to plan and use her drones on specific locations for them to be effective.
Bottles are also a limited resource
Since when skull merchant has infinite drones? From what I know you can't have more than 6 on the map.
Main difference is, you can't deny Clown his slow/speed boost, but you can definetly do it against Skull merchant. Skull merchant should almost never has more than 3% speed boost, which is way less compare to old Skull merchant btw, it was normal to be around 5/6%, because survivors really wanted to disarm them.
Current merchant is most likely to get movement speed only from chased survivor, if you get any more, then someone screwed it and didn't watch where they run / didn't know they can crouch.

Interesting last point. How?
None of your points address the fact that 3% haste is still smaller than a running huntress.
Survivors are not supposed to be faster. How would this game work otherwise?
How to play against faster killers? Just play it more safe and drop pallet faster, don't greed extra loop etc.
It's possible to loop against Oni, Blight, Spirit. It's possible to loop against killer who can literally teleport, but you think 5% on killers is bigger deal than 3% on survivors?
Most movement speed perks killers have are highly limited (NOED), or difficult requirment (PWYF).
What do you think is bigger deal, 5% on side where you can get into way higher numbers, or 3% when it's highly limited effect by any perk?
Batteries inluded is simply weak perk, you can get niche build with it, but you also have to use map offering for it. It's simply not going to be nowhere near meta. You really want to compare it with MFT? Just fact you even tried is really funny to me.

Very simple: killers are faster than survivors by default. Usually 10% faster. Add this perk, 15%. Add bloodlust tier 1, 18%. Add one of those random built-in speed boost mechanics to the mix and you get +20% speed boost, how's that for skills? Survivors don't get more than 103%, I'll let you do the calculations.
Numbers don't lie
Usually 10% faster
You already started wrong with you math.
-Bloodlust gets deactivated with using power, destroying pallets, hitting survivor.
So it doesn't make any sense to try add bloodlust, while adding built-in speed boost, they simply don't work together.
But nice try.
You can play around faster killer easier than killer can play around faster survivor.

This is precisely my issue with it:
It was introduced to encourage players to use her power in chase rather than as an objective defense.
Now that it is exclusively a chase power, it should not be in the kit anymore.
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3582019#Comment_3582019
There's nothing you can do to "play better" against sheer speed - maps are balanced the way they are and pallets/loops are spaced the way they are for a reason. Once you start changing the speeds of characters, this is all messed up and there is physically nothing a survivor can do to reach a new tile before the killer catches up (or if you're increasing Survivor speed like MFT does, nothing a killer can do to get close enough to a survivor before they reach a new tile.)
How is her speed boost different from a Clown for example? That you think it is bigger issue with her?
Now that it is exclusively a chase power, it should not be in the kit anymore.
Her power works for chase only because of that speed boost. It doesn't make any sense to nerf it, so it stops being a chase power.
-
I guess it depends on specific developer. I bet it's same dev who removed Flying Billy.
-
Skull merchant rework, more speed boosts.
That''s actually less speed boost than she used to have.
unless they get paired with players who know how this game works
so you need good players to win team based game, so weird.
that gives them a 5% speed boost, which is huge.
limited range, limited duration, late game only
But hey, 3% haste is wayyy too much.
How does this make sense when limited 5% speed boost is huge? You talk how speed boost is such a big issue for killers and then write this, while speed boost for survivors is simply way bigger deal in this game.
I have noticed the loudest complainers (killer mains) usually get what they want if they complain hard enough
Oh right, because it's not exactly same with survivors...
It's not like:
-Skully for reworked
-Freddy nerfed
-Spirit nerfed
-Spirit addons nerfed
-Nurse nerfed
-Eruption nerfed
-Cob nerfed
-Pain resonance nerfed
-Deathslinger nerfed
-Alien nerfed
Don't take me wrong, some of those were well deserved changes (actually balancing the game), but some were purely because of survivors, because it wasn't fun for them.
-
How is it better than any other information perk?
I think blidness is overkill, that perk simply doesn't need it, but it's not that broken otherwise.
It makes it easy to find some survivor, so great between chases, but it won't really help you on longer distance (they can easily move / hide), also won't help you in chase.
Fact that survivor knows about it makes it you will never get fast down from that information unlike Nurse's calling, or Nowhere to hide.
Aura reading is simply better than scream.
Only killer where it gets problematic is Oni, but it's not impossible to win against. Chase is still same.
-
I am fine with Nemi how he works overall.
His addons need rework for sure. Same for Pyramid Head. Their addons are just so bad.
-
That's just a massive nerf. Why rework pop in first place? It's quite decent perk now.
-
Oh right, you are mad they didn't kill her, so want to fix it? That's how you do it for sure.
This would make her super boring to play as and she would be way weaker. Just no...
She can remotely injure survivors
survivor has to be really bad to get injured outside of chase or do it on purpose
Survivors are already slowed thanks to her strategic placement of drones.
It takes quite a long time to get that hindered status effect. That's just minor part of her power.

Against SWF yeah, decent against soloQ.
He is definetly more fun to play tho.

They could lower the amount of extra stalk needed. Also imo they should make it so survivors regenerate stalk over time, at least a certain amount, so you wouldn't worry about losing your power, since Myers is the only one that can truly lose his power during a trial.
There is still that lower movement speed by -9 %, it would be just completely garbage with your requirment.
I really wouldn't mind reworking both, if he gets basekit buffs he needs. Those two are basically carrying his kill rates.
-
@elderwitcher96 said:
Just no. But for Pinhead and Myers they should make some changes.
They could increase the cooldown on the Pinhead's add-on chains if used on a recently unhooked survivor, so it would act more as an m1 on the off the hook survivor and allow them to make the same distance.
For tombstone they could make a period after being unhooked that tombstone can't activate. I mean that add-on is very unhealthy for the game, it either needs to be removed or reworked. Like having to hook all 4 survivors at least once and be in tier 3 sounds reasonable to me. A slight buff of allowing to kill downed survivors as well would be reasonable in that scenario as well.
But yeah, stacking health states is just a very poorly thought out idea.
Like having to hook all 4 survivors at least once and be in tier 3 sounds reasonable
might be fine for tombstone piece, but Judith's Tombstone would be kinda unplayable. It takes so long to get it and you really don't have time to also hook everyone.
-
I overall like his changes, mainly movement speed and recoil. Throw rate is nice for sure.
I am pretty sure main event will have to be nerfed from that. 6 blades, with 3 blade using addons from 30 is just insane. You will get main event before you even injure survivor, that's just bad.
Survivors might be fine on Lerry's, but good luck on maps with short loops.
I think it should be like 10 knives without any addons lowering it, you can increase duration instead or something.

the issue is that the killer can purposely leave you when you have deep wound and detach chases. as a result, you have to mend or you cannot work on generators. DH is also single use perk so once it is activated, it turned off until you get hooked again.
How is existing counterplay an issue? Even if they leave you, you have perk that just saved your from killer.

I also have the impression that SM might be too good now too. But that is another topic.
And one does not need to be a comp killer to see this. A lot of experience does this too.
SM is definetly weaker than before. Mainly because they removed her infinite stealth too, you could argue before.
-
I think it will be great with Off the record, or DH, or both. Good luck tunneling me.
-
I don't think main event should be just 6 hits (3 with addons). That's just broken.
You can get it before you even injure survivor, so they won't even get movement speed buff. I would make it 10 without any addons for it.
But I love changes overall, definetly will give him a try.
-
That would be actually really good. I like the concept. Would be one of best anti tunneling perks, which you can be altruistic with. Combine it with Off the record to protect yourself too and you are good to go.
