I like the PT changes but not increasing the bp gain from gens is a mistake.
-
Couldn't you say Unbreakable is bad since it requires you to be slugged? If the killer doesn't slug the perk doesn't do anything, yet I would argue it is one of the best perks in the game because when it does give value it is a game-changer.
Deli is the same thing as UB where the average isn't the best but the perk does something very valuable and can easily change the outcome of a game by itself.

Hello I tried to recreate it but I could not because I only have the screen of my laptop not with a separate external to have the 2 windows, however I discovered something, I was guiding myself on the cpu with the nvidia geforce experience and I just realized that the task manager does not mark me the same percentage of the cpu in the geforce experience, but I don't know what that can mean.
Yea I think it might be ram and that might be causing you to get stutters. If you haven't the first thing I would do is either going to a newer or older driver for your gpu depending on what version you are currently at.
I would read this article to get a better understanding of compression since you are heavy into that with 80% of your ram being used.

I already checked everything and it's fine, in fact it doesn't happen to me with other games, it's only with dead by daylight
Can you please open dbd and make the game run in windowed mode. Bring up your task manager and replicate these screenshots by pressing the win key+shift+s.
-
Are your clock speeds high? I would use cpu-z and stress test the cpu and see what it is doing. You might also have an issue where you are in performance mode, it is a laptop, for dbd and the clock speeds are really low. That cpu shouldn't be close to sitting at 100% so there is something that needs changing.

Not really. Game survived when Nurse killswitched. I am sure reworking Nurse and nerfing Blight add-ons won't affect game as well. Because killers are already strong enough to win most of games. Except Trapper, Myers and some of other weak killers. But most of killers are just fine.
And you guys should stop using SWF as excuse. Any time people ask for nerfing unbalanced things: BUT SWFs exist!!! So what? You are winning against most of SWF teams as well. But good Nurses and Blights are not rare. They are pretty popular killers, especially Blight.
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3489625#Comment_3489625
Another SWF excuse for busted killers.
Most of SWF teams are casual players. You are winning against countless SWF teams without noticing it.
And there is no way to nerf SWF without nerfing Solo teams as well. Do you really want to nerf solo teams?
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3489631#Comment_3489631
Most of maps are pretty open. Only newest maps are good against Nurse and people are already asking nerf for these maps. Most of times you will get old maps because we have only 3 newest maps which is good against Nurse.
So Nurse will be fine most of times.
The autoheaven maps feel like there is a a lot of clutter. The changes to farm also seem to include random clutter in the corn. Seems like they are increasing clutter in maps when they touch them.
-
The thing with Nurse is you need to be able to break los twice. If there is only a single los breaker then she can blink to that los and now you are in the open. With all the clutter they have been adding to the maps I don't think she is that large of an issue anymore since you usually have stuff to work with.
-
During the day I feel like I escape a decent amount but if I sit in a 5-10 minute queue at night then it's usually as low as 10%.

It's still sad tho. I vaulted Leon, Nea, Felix and Zarina for the same reason. - It's just no fun if you can tell that the only reason you consistently get treated ######### in matches is because of Prestige. I mean, I like Quentin and Elodie.... but I miss my pretty little Noir Leon T-T ---- sometimes I load into friends' 1v1s just to moonwalk across the map as Leon and reset pallets😂
I remember when I hit p100 and It felt like 50% of the matches would be killers playing like there was a gift card on the line. There is literally zero benefit to showing players prestige in the pregame lobby and yet here we are. Players needing to play lower prestige characters just to have a decent gaming experience.

I couldnt imagine dropping ur main because of all that. I proudly play my p100 david. And if i get tunneled, i just get tunneled. But i sure wont make it easy for them and hope my team gets out safely.
It sucks but if swapping gives you a better experience then why not just bite the bullet. I just ended up being a Steve main and vaulted my Dwight until they decide to fix the problem.
-
Yea this sadly is how p100 survivor goes. I had to drop my dweet because games would be miserable just because I was p100. Basically you get punished for liking a certain character and for some reason the devs still haven't removed the prestige in lobby even though we had some of these exact issue back in the day when rank was shown. The solution to this is sadly not playing that character, which is super dumb.

STBFL is awful on Demo, if you miss your shred on the obsession it's INCREDIBLY unforgiving and gives into a playstyle not suited for demo: Prioritizing using shred for hits when it (IMHO) should be used for breaking pallets and walls, and sometimes using it for hits.
You should either play Demo as a m1 killer with STBFL since he can save stacks and has extra utility with the shred+portals or you should be going m2 only. If you are not going save then I would say most of your hits should be m2 if you are playing the kit to its fullest.
-
He stopped seeing play after the nerfs they did to him. He currently feels really clunky with his turning and delay on power. There simply is zero reason to pick the killer up since there are a plethora of strong killers that are more fluid and fun.

But bots were not a thing. The only reason we are having this conversation is because of the introductions to bots replacing DCs
Why wouldn't bots make it worse? When the dc penalty was removed players would dc a crazy amount even though they knew it was ruining the game for others. With bots you are not ruining the game by making it a 3v1 making players not feel guilty leaving games like before where it was already really bad. You would see an increase to the dc amount and bots will fill the void so it won't be as bad of an experience but you are not playing a PVP to face bots.
-
Not in a million years are we going to see our rating. If you think there is sweat in this game now wait until rating is shown and experience the 4 slowdown Nurse that camps+tunnels while also slugging for the 4k every game. The game was already bad when it was at 1900 and the number wasn't even being shown back then. Showing the number in this game would be a sheetshow.
On top of this there will be rank shame where any low mmr players is terrible at the game and needs to learn how to play the game rather then complain about balance. Oh you are complaining about x? What is your mmr? LUL imagine complain about x when you are a 1k rated player. How about you take that energy of complaining and instead put that towards not being trash at the game.
-
When they changed old DS everyone stopped running it because it wasn't god mode anymore and they ended up needing to make the obsession icon permanent in games since killers would tunnel hard in games where there wasn't a DS user. The only thing healthy when DS was in the meta was the passive deterrent.
I would think they are fine with how OTR is working since they haven't touched that perk still. If tunneling is really bad you can run the anti-tunnel perk and reduce the effectiveness of that strategy. At the end of the day if they were looking to do something more with tunneling I would think it would be a passive deterrent that survivors can't use offensively. If that was the case I don't see it being a quick and simple change and they also have the anti-face camp mechanic coon soon. At the end of the day there is only so much they can do at one time.
-
Charge time is server based. If you are put on a higher ping server your charge timing is changed. For me 40 ping lets me release the shred as the hiss is happening but if you go to around 100-150 then you need to wait a brief moment after the hiss for it to not be canceled.
-
I think they should change the dc penalty to be just a flat 5. That makes it so if you want out of a game you can just take the 5 and it makes it so players are much less likely to lobby shop or dc when they see Wesker.
If they fully remove it I think it would be really bad for the game with how players have acted with old Spirit and the times where they removed the penalty because of crashing. A flat 5 still discourages players from wanting to dc on a whim but would also makes the issue with gg go next not as big of a problem since you at least get a bot to replace that player, and to be honest that bot will be putting in more work anyway.

You’re demo, if you can’t hit them when they go for the window it’s a skill issue
How is that relevant? Is every killer Demo? Half the killer roster has no way of dealing with that without bloodlust or perks vs decent survivors.
Also killers like Demo already don't receive bloodlust since you don't build bloodlust if you use your power.
-
I agree BL should be removed as it is unfair that it is in the game with how amazingly well done these "reworked" maps are.

game is not balanced for killers if you dont play nurse or blight
The level where that starts to become true isn't even seen in pub games.
-
3 toolboxes I usually bring stronger stuff and play a bit harder if I feel it is BNP's.
Jake lobby I'm 100% dodging as them having a total of 1 prestige level between all 4 would indicate I was backfilled and I'm going to end up wasting my time.
Claud lobby is basically a free win since they are bringing flashlights and look to be swf. No gens will be done and anytime you get 1 down you can expect some free hits with the others trying to FL save every single time.
Meg lobby I would just play normal.
-
For stealth killers Fearmonger is a very good choice to remove the issue you are facing. At the end of the day the game is balanced with exhaustion in mind so removing them from the game would just result in survivor buffs.
-
='(
-
I don't expect to see that content return.
They might've burned a bridge that makes it to where Netflix are unwilling to ever bring the content back. I think at the end of the day if McCote said they are not even willing to talk to him that it is a real bad sign for that content to return.
-
The problem with tunneling is the game encourages it with it being about kills and not hooks while also having it where 4 survivors alive is too strong but 3 are weak. Giving survivors base kit ways to deal with tunneling will result in players abusing the mechanic so the logical way to reduce the amount of tunneling would be nerfing survivors when all 4 are up but buffing them when one is removed.
How something like this could work is when you hook a survivor you remove progress on a gen and when a survivor dies the mechanic is turned off and remaining survivors now get a repair speed bonus.
-
I think them giving him windstorm base kit and then giving him the new windstorm base kit after the first one was enough. They already had to nerf him because the last base kit windstorm buff pushed him over the top. No need to touch the killer currently.
-
Easily 2017 for killer. Still had some infinites and every map was basically garden of joy with the pallet safety and density of "The Game" and every pallet survivors also got DH for distance. On top of that old ds where you had to juggle survivors to hooks. Also think back then all quick vault were fast vault that were maybe changed in the summer of that year. That means for shack you could hug the wall without having to flare out for the fast vault.
-
@Seraphor said:
I think that would be a tad too much.
I would say that it just need to inflict Exhaustion while injured, so it can't be combod with another Exhaustion perk like DH.
And it should only activate the Haste while in a chase, so that you can't benefit from additional speed when pre-running, and delaying the start of the chase, like Sprint Burst.
I don't think it's too strong to pair with Resilience, if the survivor wants to make the choice to optimise their perks by remaining injured as long as they think they can at the risk of going down in one hit, then that should be a valid build. Resilience+DH is already a valid build, Resilience+MfT would just be a variation on that. And I don't think pairing it with Hope is a problem either, Hope is already doing the heavy lifting. If MfT+Hope is a problem, then Hope alone is already a problem, and it's not.
I think that would be fine.
-
You bring items and perks to hit gens really hard.
You sit on gens and let players die on hook and don't heal to push gens asap.
Most players usually just say gen rush when survivors just do gens faster then what they prefer.

You just cherries picked that vid you passed the whole not hugging structures tight enough
How is someone not hugging structures relevant to the fact he admits the perk is doing way more for him then SB and for most players SB is better but for him it is way better to run MFT. And then states it is a healthy perk because it encourages chasing when the background footage is him running DH, MFT, and Hope. That the type of dude to defend double pallets and pallet vacuum by saying it encourages survivors to loop.

This is an interesting post actually. Has there ever been any official communication from BHVR on players progressing to “better killers” or is the official stance that all killers are viable at all levels?
Well they talked about Trapper recently and how they are not looking to buff him because he's for new killer players even though he needs buffs for the top 5%.

If bhvr were looking to attract new players then this is the opposite of what they should be doing, simple killer should be strong enough that they can carry them into the higher MMR where they will eventually get kicked back down again strictly because of their lack of skill.
Instead all of the current simple killer crop just leads new players to getting bored frustrated and quitting because they can't win a single match because of how hilariously outdated some of them are compared to the modern survivor meta
Isn't killer the power role at lower levels? How is buffing low tier killers solve that issue? Is there an issue where newer killers quicky surpass the newer survivors and end up always losing games because they can only face more experienced survivors?
Wouldn't you want players to move up the ladder in killers to play things that have more depth to reduce players from getting bored? Wouldn't buffing low tier killers entice players to stick with the simple killers which would result in players getting bored by the simplicity of those kits?
-
Things that are harder to play need to justify the difficulty increase with higher power level. Lowest tier killers are also the easiest killers to play.

I didn’t forget it. It’s a waste of a slot if you’re trying to get good value out of MFT. First, you have to unhook someone which we know isn’t rare but can still be negated by being tunneled or not getting the save. Secondly, it works for half a second which means you have to time it just right… not too hard to do but still easy to screw up. Third, it causes exhausted which then deactivates MFT so now the perk you’re trying to get extra value from won’t benefit you until after this chase is over with. Lastly, it’s a one time use so once it’s done it’s an empty perk slot. Also, glad to see you mentioned my other points,
They changed that from the PTB for the DH nerf and you get the perk once you are unhooked.
MFT makes the DH timing much easier since DH under pallets doesn't have counterplay and MFT puts you in that scenario much easier. You would be using DH when the chase is already over which means it doesn't matter if it turns MFT off. You basically get all the value with MFT and then hit the killer with the DH to extend the chase even longer. DH makes staying injured not that big of a deal and there isn't much reason to heal if you get a mini SB, +1 loops, and easier DH's. DH, MFT, and Hope seem to be the best 3 perks to be running currently.
DH+MFT is a stronger combo to run rather than MFT+Resil.
-
@DavidHypnos said:
Now the perk is gaslighting you? I’d say I’ve heard it all but then I’m sure someone else would say something even more ridiculous. Resilience and Hope are the only two perks it has great synergy with and Hope is endgame. The only other perk you mentioned is also endgame and a one-time use.
PS. You want survivors to not remain injured to get the boosts from perks like Made for This and Resilience? Maybe you all shouldn’t have complained until healing was nerfed into being near useless. The current meta of “genrushing?” Killer mains created it when they decided healing was an issue. You wanted more chases? But survivors can’t have something that benefits them in doing so? Guess what? You’ll get even more genrush meta. Learn to stop complaining about EVERYTHING.
You forgot DH

Spirit=Blight>Nurse when it came to the best add-ons being used.
Old yellow duration made her go to 1:2.5 with power and increased her total duration to 6 seconds.
New yellow recharge makes her go to 1:2.3
So at the end of the day they only really hit her strongest build. Blight is right there in power but I would guess they are looking to do more then some number changes for him. So it would either Spirit and Blight with double nerfs or Spirit and Sadako buffs. Personally I prefer the latter.

yes but it is hex. you could make hex block every single window on the map permanently and i am not sure if anyone would use it over bamboozle due hex status besides maybe bubba/billy maybe Oni.
Survivors have to spend time finding it. It's an early game chase perk that also helps slow down the early game as well. Good alternative if you are looking to run something other than CI or Lethal.
-
@Coffeecrashing said:
None of these are meta now, and they won’t be meta with the changes. These buffs are a waste.
Crowd control seems very strong. Blocking windows for the entire minute is insanely strong. That basically makes tiles dead once the survivor vaults it a single time for the entire duration of the chase.

It is not happening to players that tunnel, play without tunneling and you will loose 90% of your trials.
If you want to play without tunneling you really should be looking into running pain res+pop. As long as your chases are good you don't need to tunnel with that combo.
-
Think the idea behind the perk is to make smash hit a chase ender and then have it come back quicky. So you run smash hit+ Parental Guidance to have pallet stuns end the chase and you can reset your exhaustion fast in the event you get into another chase shortly after.

He doesn't need an addon pass at all though. He just needs some numbers to be tweaked/added.
I think he needs a rework on vial, c33, and ring.
-
Guessing they are going to be doing an add-on pass the same way they did for Nurse. If you look at what they did it's basically just number changes in this patch. It doesn't make sense to not touch his top add-ons unless they are planning on doing a full pass. That or they just think he is fine.
-
Hopefully they change the bp gain from doing gens with the PT change. I think you get 1250 for doing an entire gen solo and 300 bp for hitting a great and 50 for a good skill check. Would be nice if they made doing a gen give 2.5k. If you do gens solo you need to be the gen jockey to even max objective out.
