If you think it's a coin flip you just don't understand how to play against her. I bet you are one of those "but you don't know if she is phase or not". You don't need to know this actually.

There are only a finite number of things she can actually do. If you see her stand still she is A) standing still, B) phase walking. If you just run to the next tile then you beat A because now you gained distance and unless she has duration/speed add-ons chances are she won't be able to catch up if she starts phasing AFTER the fact. If you break LOS of the husk and then bait a vault or backtrack, you beat B. You can do both at the same time and beat both.

If she is far behind you then chances are high she is phasing after you. Vault a window. It's really that simple. Most of the time she won't have enough to phase around to the other side of the window and hit you. So you vault the window, then run to the next next tile. Keep doing this and you can make a chase with Spirit last quite a while. The only way she can beat you is if she has both MDR and Amulet, which is unlikely (not to mention that if she does you can more effectively back track or take unusual pathing since she can't see scratch marks).

But sure, it's a coin flip. Just guess! Because she can do 10 things at once. Okay.

All the scenarios you're presenting assume that the Spirit is a dumbass that falls for these tricks 100% of the time. A good Spirit will not just waste most of her power bar to enable such silly 'jukes' from survivors. A good Spirit will use her power in short bursts and abuse the stupidly short cooldown of her power, forcing the survivor to win several coinflips during a span of about 30 seconds if they want to "outplay" her.

Sorry, but even Nurse is more interactive and interesting to get chased by than a yelling katana girl that makes you just play the lottery during chases.

  • Mad Grit + Agitation + Iron Grasp + BBQ

Spirit will be a boring experience for survivors by default, so you might as well look funny when playing her.

    And that's why they're not scary, they're off-putting. Living dolls aren't scary.

I don't think any killer in DbD is scary either. Does that mean they should be removed from the game until the devs find someone scary to play the role?

Then honestly your team is just bad. A decent team can at least get 1 gen done when someone goes down unless you can't loop for you life

I mean, you're not wrong. I'm usually solo queueing, so I run Kindred, and let me tell you, I've seen some #########. Quite a large portion of red rank survivors still belongs in yellow/green ranks.

Your entire post is just you complaining about survivors hiding and you wanting them to be louder, and have unremovable shiny accessories that will make them easy to spot. I don't think I'm the biased one here.

you know you're right maybe if the game was about killers chasing and killing people in a area themed like horror movies like dark forest empty hospitals, abandoned traveling circus etc etc THEN it would be results but till then. PS you're a moron

Oh, I was called a moron. I guess I lost the argument, darn.

I guess I'll just let you be entitled to your wrong opinion and move on with my day.

" Dead by Daylight isn't supposed to be scary in the first place"

i mean its literally says its a horror game

    Results speak louder than words.

  • So basically put a neon, glow-in-the-dark pride flag on every dark-skinned survivor's back, and give all killers stridor, so stealth stops being a thing?

  • Honestly, Dead by Daylight isn't supposed to be scary in the first place. And it definitely stops being scary after like 100 hours of playtime (unless you're a Blendette at heart).

If I were to choose anyone, I'd have to vote for Springtrap, aka William Afton. He is the main antagonist of the story afterall, and Springtrap himself is pretty creepy. He can also get skins for himself (Glitchtrap from FNAF VR, Molten Springtrap from the pizzeria simulator one), giving BHVR even more ways of gaining profit.

I also heard a fanmade theme for him if he were to be in DbD, and I gotta say that I LOVE how it sounds.

Excuse me, I know I may be showing my age by asking this, but, what is a “pepegas”?

It's a twitch thing. Basically it's an emote, and the meaning of it is that someone's being an idiot, to put things simply.

  • Because what the perk does, you can do just as easily with different, less situational perks, or just by getting healed by someone else, and all that usually in a shorter time period than Second Wind requires.

  • Medkit + Botany or simply Inner Strength are better, more time efficient and consume less perk slots (because SC without Botany is just straight up a hinderance to your entire team)

But the thing is, someone had to LOOK there (underneath / around the gown) first in order to notice that in the first place.

So who's really to blame here??

Just by looking at the way his gown lays on his body you can see that he's packing some ass underneath. Funny enough, the lighting in the game quite often highlights it even further lol

  • I don't see anything wrong with the matchmaking in the scenario you're presenting though. Red and purple ranks represent basically the exact same "skill level".

  • Why would I dump all my perks and old/event items into oblivion for a pair of ugly cosmetics that I'm never going to use?

  • This got way too deep than it should be, but yeah, it kinda annoys me too when I just see a bunch of russian stuff in the chat.

Maybe it's just me, but most russians that I get on my team or go against are utter pepegas, too.

  • Look, the devs didn't have to give him one of the best asses in the game, and they still did.

It's not our fault we like some good cake

  • I run Kindred + Decetive's Hunch + Inner Strength + 4th perk of my choice, so not much is gonna change. I'll probably swap kindred for something else for a few days upon release, and then go back.

  • I did it first try by being mostly useless for my team, and following the killer around with Fixated. It was especially good when you follow him to a hook when he's carrying a survivor, and hide in the area. Also I used Diversion to distract him when it was needed. The killer I was going against wasn't really that good though.

  • If that were the case, the people with 3k+ hours would probably wait 20 minutes for a match.

  • Ranks kind of don't matter though.

A lot of survivors at red/purple ranks don't know the basics of the game. They're really scared and hide all the time like a brand new player, they just don't know how to run a killer, or they're just really bad at making decisions. A red rank survivor should know that self-caring in the corner of the map isn't a good idea, and hinders the team. A red rank survivor should know that when a killer facecamps someone, it's better to go and work on gens, rather than crouch next to the hook for 30 seconds and accomplish absolutely nothing in the process.

I've seen a rank 9 Spirit yesterday. She had 100 hours in the game. She was really bad in chases, and never really pressured gens. She also camped and tunneled (which is supposed to hinder your emblem gains, mind you). And yet, she still is so close to being purple ranks (which are supposed to be the second-best in terms of skill indication), with only having 100 hours in the game.

Pipping isn't difficult either, especially since the black pips have such low requirements, that you've got to actively go out of your way to derank, because otherwise it's very unlikely to happen.

It doesn't help that the current form or rank reset doesn't really set people back at all either. Once you get to red ranks, you stay there forever, unless you drop the game for at least 3 months.

At the current state of the game, rank represents how much you played during that specific month, rather than how good you are at the game.

  • You have to straight up refuse to use your powers on certain killers just so the game doesn't give you less emblem progress. It really is dumb.

So I understand LGBT for pride as its pride month and im a gay man myself but...why pansexual? Pansexuality was created as an inclusive term to people who have sex with children, animals, objects and other things. On top of that its now used as a symbol to spread biophobia and overall is being discarded/shunned by the LGBT community because it has such a problematic definition and history. Like did y'all actually look to see what the LGBT thought about the label or did you ignore LGBT history whats up here?

That's not what pansexuality is though.

Having sex with children isn't pansexuality. It's pedophilia, and it has no place in the LGBT community, and never will.

Having sex with animals isn't pansexuality. It's zoophilia, and it has no place in the LGBT community, and never will.

Having sex with objects... So basically sex toys, that people of all sexual orientations use...?

Pansexuality, to put things simply, means that the person can be sexually attracted to another person no matter their biological gender or gender identity. It's not meant to "discard" or "shun" bisexuality in any means. They're very similar, and some people just feel more comfortable as identifying as one or the other. That shouldn't really concern you.

Please, educate yourself better before you speak of such matters. It's really disrespectful (not to mention straight up wrong) of you to compare pansexual people to pedophiles.

league of legends only lets you q with 1 other person ranked and its one of the most successful games to date and they don't let you q with a big group because of balance imagine that

Yeah, except you're talking about the ranked queue of League. For any non-ranked queue, you can grab a full team of five without a problem. And guess what? Dead by Daylight isn't a game fit to have a ranked queue. It's a casual 4v1 game of tag, not a competitive, e-sports worthy showdown of skill and tactic.

The only times DbD was actually competitive is when people tried holding tournaments for it like, 2 years ago?. And it was a clown fiesta, for the lack of a better description. As far as I'm aware, nobody bothered trying to host competitive tournaments for DbD ever since.

League of Legends and Dead by Daylight are nowhere near comparable.

League actually is a competetive game with a mostly functional ranking system, and there's incentive to actually care about rank, as you get rewarded for climbing. It's a proper PvP game where 5 players fight against 5 players. The game itself doesn't involve RNG, other than the Elemental Dragons, which aren't even that impactful on their own. There are also normal games, which people can play with a group of 5 people just fine.

Dead by Daylight is nowhere near having a functional ranking system, and there is literally no point of actively caring about rank. The game's an asymmetrical experience, with a team of 4 players going against 1 player, which already heavily implies that it's not ever going to be perfectly balanced. There's no split for ranked and casual queues, because the game's playerbase isn't big enough to afford that. The game relies on RNG heavily, because the maps and their layouts are heavily randomized, quite often making the map heavily favor one of the sides.

Moreover, League doesn't punish you for duo-queueing if you're playing ranked games. No game does. I see no reason why Dead by Daylight should punish people for playing in a swf then, especially if it's not even a proper competitive game.

It is big brain, finishing someone off especially if they're on Death hook should be priority.

One less Survivor working on a Generator.

Depends on the person, really. I prefer letting people actually play the game, so I don't tunnel if the rescuer is right there in my face.

  • I swear I've seen killers that would hit the rescuing survivors when they go for a bodyblock, and then STILL go after the unhooked survivor, rather than the one they just injured. Big brain

From what ive seen keys are used way more commonly and can be found on the map. Not sure how that equates to moris being worse.

My experience is quite the opposite, I see moris quite often, but rarely ever I see a survivor bring a key.

Keys are much more rare to find in bloodwebs, as survivor actually have a lot of purple/red rarity items available in the pool.

Ebony moris are on the contrary, the most common type of moris to appear in bloodwebs.

Moris can be used to wipe an entire team before even a single generator is done.

For a key to allow a 4man escape, they need all need to survive long enough to do five gens, locate the hatch and then meet up there.

A bad killer can still get a 4k, because he only needs to do 1/3rd of his primary objective (which is hooking the survivors to sacrifice them).

For more than 1 survivor to escape, they have to finish at least three out of five generators, which is already over the half of their main objective's progress.

In the end though, they both cut the game short, which is just uninteresting and bad game design, and as such they both should be changed.

  • Imagine if every online game out there actually punished people for trying to play together with each other.

Oh, guess what? None of the successful online games do that.

Because that is a stupid idea.

  • They're both bullshit. Moris are a bigger problem than keys, but both should be reworked nonetheless.

  • Blendettes are the real killers.

    Freddy players have no chill.

For every 5 Megs there is only one brain for them to share, which is the reason why so many of them play like bots.

Nancys are like a cross-species between Megs and Blendettes

  • Before I go on my small rant, I would like to state that I believe the most fun part of Dead by Daylight is being in a chase, or more specifically, interacting with the other side.

I believe there are three things that people can mean through saying that something in DbD is "boring"

    • If something is boring as a mechanic, it's mostly because the mechanic is very uninteractive for one or both sides. (a serious game or character design issue that should be looked into by the devs)
    • If a certain player has a certain playstyle and/or build that makes it very unfun for the other side, a good example would be Forever Freddy or a Blendette hiding so much that the killer never sees her for the entire match. (if it comes to builds, the devs can tweak values, but in the end it all depends on the player, and the devs just can't force someone to play differently)
    • Actual personal bias or just some salt in the endgame chat. (not really worth considering, since it's just salt)

You're playing sweaty? You do you, the devs can't forcefully change someone's playstyle.

Forever Freddy drags the game out so much to the point survivors would just rather kill themselves than try to repair a gen with 4 different slowdown effects and Freddy's pop? The devs can in fact tweak the values a little, or do something that would encourage Freddy to have a more aggresive playstyle.

A killer, a survivor perk or a map provide very one-sided and/or uninteractive gameplay for either side, because the mechanics behind it are inherently flawed? For example:

    • Spirit gives little to no feedback to survivors when phasing, while she gets much more of it, leading to very one-sided chases without much counterplay for the survivor side. It feels uninteractive, because the only thing the survivor can do against a decent Spirit is just guess, and try to win the coinflip.
    • The Deathslinger can cancel his power without drawbacks, being able to "mindgame" survivors without doing anything. He can also quickscope, which doesn't give the survivor any time to react and try to dodge if they aren't psychics that can see 2 seconds into the future or something. It all depends on whether the guy misses or doesn't miss, and barely on survivor actually using his skill to dodge or bait a shot.
    • Survivors dead-harding for distance to get to a pallet/window feels really uninteractive for the killer, because it straight up erases all mistakes that survivor made in a chase. Decisive Strike granting survivors a 60 second immunity and allows such situations (video embedded) to happen. It's not fun for the killer side, and it's not very interactive either.
    • Regarding maps, I think a good example of a map commonly disliked by the community is Hawkins. When you're playing killer, it's a simulator of going through 80 pallets on the map, and easily downing survivors without even having to think, because 90% of these pallets are so unsafe that they're basically not helping survivors at all. For survivor, it feels like no matter how good you are, you're most likely going to go down quickly, unless you're in the proximity of the only three decent looping spots on the map. This map doesn't really offer thrilling chases, where each side gets to actually compete with their skills, and that makes the gameplay boring.

That's something that devs most likely should look into, and try to tweak the values or rework the mechanic in some way, to make the experience more fun in the game for both sides.

It's simply easier to say that something is "boring", rather than writing a full esaay on the issue, so I'm sorry if that ever created an misunderstanding on my part, as I do call some things "boring" quite a lot in this game. For the sake of my own convenience I will keep doing that though.

  • Definitely one of my top 3 most disliked killers.

Most matches against him end up being really drawn-out, because Freddies just love running five thousand slowdown perks. The chases aren't interactive either, the scenario is just that Freddy keeps flapping his hand around at every loop, because for some reason he can just spam his puddles without being slowed down, and it has no cooldown either.

The problem is that his kit has so many different things in it, that he's good at everything, but has no clear weakness. Other than being genrushed, but he can just use triple slowdown perks and even addons for that, nullifying any weak points he had.

  • Please, give your capslock button a break. The text is annoying to look at because of your text-yelling.

His terror radius isn't the biggest issue. The bigger problem is the fact that he can raise up his gun and shoot instantly, because the windup takes only 0,125 seconds. He can also put his gun away the same way, without being slowed down. You can just keep mindlessly raising up and lowering your gun as a "mindgame", and get a free M1 because the survivors will be at loss no matter what they do.

Plague and Huntress have indicators both visual and auditory that they are about to use their ranged attack, and they have an actual wind-up that prevents them from shooting instantly without warnings. Survivors get feedback on what the killer is trying to do, and they can utilize their skills and environment to their advantage accordingly to try and avoid the attack. That's a ranged killer done right.

The Funslinger on the other hand, has as much interactivity and feedback for survivors in chases as Spirit, so no wonder that most people straight up dislike him.

  • He never went nowhere near the two gens that popped in the beginning though.

  • I genuinely can't tell if I hate Blendettes more when I'm playing survivors or killer.

  • I use streams for background noise usually, but I like Scott, Edgar, Umbra and Geistra the most. I'll tune into streams from Boxghostz, Morf, Zubat or Alboyo otherwise.

  • Seeing multiple survivors in my team running Self-Care.

A killer feeling so insecure that they bring NOED even though they either:

    • have already packed a shitton of slowdown/game delay perks and addons
    • they brought an ebony mori
    • they are playing a killer that can reliably instadown survivors

Survivors dead-harding for distance to get to a pallet/window, even though they ######### up and should be dead by now.

    When survivors 3-gen themselves

When a killer Pop Goes the Braincells a certain generator like 7 times in a single match, though I've got to say I'm guilty of doing that too

When I'm going against a spirit, freddy or the funslinger. For some reason my game bugs out and my F key stops working during the struggle phase against the latter two🙄

  • As much as I love Joyce from Stranger Things, I'd rather have Robin replace Nancy.

As for a Steve replacement, I don't know. All other male characters are just kind of 'whatever' to me. Not much to choose from either, since most of the male cast is made of children/teenagers.

  • Do you think it would be fair if survivors had an offering that made it so they only have to do two generators before the exit gates are powered? Mind you, the offering would be Ultra Rare, and therefore appear in every second bloodweb, just like ebony moris do for killers.

Seriously, if you unironically need to rely on ebony moris to win matches then I don't know what to tell you.

  • "Exit Stage Left"

No. Just no. It doesn't really make sense from game mechanic perspective, and it's pretty strong in a stupid way.

    "Monologue"

I suppose it's fine, but it should deactivate during a chase or when the killer is in a fixed amount of distance from you.

    "Fake Tears"

I feel like this perk needs a certain condition that needs to be met before it can be used, because otherwise it's way too strong of a effect to get for free.

  • I somehow managed to do it first try. I felt awful, because I've been dead weight for most of the match. My teammates lowkey resented me as well.

  • Please tell me this is a bait

Pretty hypocritical coming from the guy who said "Self Care is one of the strongest killer perks".

Man, if that joke is still flying right over your head, I don't know what to tell you.

But then again, you seem really passionate about the game, to the point of getting mad at anyone who disagrees with your opinions on perks, I wouldn't be surprised if you forgot the concept of humour by now.

I can't wait for you to look into your crystall ball to "call out" my playstyle once again though. In the meantime I'll prepare a bingo sheet to see how many things you get wrong.

The best way to get people to stop using self care is to heal them. If somebody's upset that they're using self care, then it's pretty much their own fault. If you can actually see them self caring, that means either you're in a position to heal them or you're on the hook where it would be stupid to try and rescue you injured.

Spoken just like those noobs that I smashed the crap out of this morning cause they kept trying to do everything injured and got 3 hooked way faster than standard survivors. I have no doubt y'all are the type of people who don't heal other survivors which make self care such a necessary perk to begin with.

    Ah yes, blanket statements.

  • Self-Care is one of the strongest killer perks.

  • As if something being red rarity actually makes it rare, lmao

Ebony moris are, ironically, the ones that appear in the bloodwebs most frequently, because killers only have 3 red rarity items available to them (and some don't have any red addons, so they just get ebony moris in every single bloodweb).

I leveled up my Billy from level 1 to 40, and I ended up with almost 20 ebony moris. I don't think I've seen even 5 keys, either red or purple, in my survivor bloodwebs over the course of 40 levels.

Both keys and moris are incredibly unfair and unhealthy for the game, but the keys are ACTUALLY somewhat rare, and that's facts.
