It's not a joke. It is intended by devs to show you how much bloodpoints you'll get. Nothing else

That can't be true, why would they change it from the old system they could have just left it and slapped a bp prize to each colour group.

Then again this is BHVR so anything is possible

  • @Aneurysm said:

So that people can say things like "why am I being matched with gold players when I'm a bronze? SBMM is stupid"

Things like that are what made me realize these 2 systems don't work together and do nothing other than show as much

  • @landromat said:

Bloodpoints. At the end of the month you're getting bloodpoints based on your grade. This is the only one purpose of grades

Yeah, that really the only reason I play is to hit iri 1 so i can get the 250k bp

There are approx 5,048 perks now that counter NOED by letting you find bones and do bones. Run one of them or run the risk of running into NOED. Your call.

Okay, there are 4 perks directly related to finding totems, and then the map item but again the point has been missed the perk should exist it rewards the killer for playing poorly.

If this is sarcasm then the joke's on me but - you are right. The game SHOULD be killer-sided. Escaping is much more satisfying when it's tilted against you, not survivor-sided. I've seen numerous posts claiming it to be both either or (which is fun to read), but I want it to be difficult to survive. That's me!

100% agree that the game is more fun when the odds are against you but again NOED isn't the solution to this

  • @Gamedozer7 said:

Do bones or if you see someone go don't to noed leave.

I feel like you didn't really read the post, the idea that survivors have to cleanse every bone on every map every game just to counter the possibility of NOED is dumb, also yes just leaving is obviously the best thing to do but my point stands that the perk is extremely poorly designed

I don't want them to remove it. Killers deserve this kind of lethality.

Killers deserve lethality, yes but not this kind of lethality also survivors don't deserve to lose games they have every right to win because of one perk

  • @ShyPirate said:

For some, it's getting those last few chase/escape points. For others, it's to give the killer a free hit and a few more points before leaving. For still others, it's to teabag and clickety-click to show disrespect. For me personally it's the first one, though more often than not I will leave as soon as I know all living survivors are safe.

As killer I don't really want the last pity hit and don't want to give anyone the satisfaction of teabagging, so I stay away from the gates and either look for stuff to break or use my power over and over if it's something that gives points.

This is exactly what I do most of the time, but the times where I do go to the gate It is just the clicky-clicky and tbags

Boy, are you gonna hate the fact that they're supposedly making them basekit.

I don't really have an issue with current Mori's. They're an extended last hook that show off an animation.

Key's can be annoying, in my experience most people who blatantly bring keys into the lobby are really bad. Most of the key escapes in my games are from keys found from chests.

I know about the moris being base kit, and like I mention in the post this is the closest I have ever been to calling moris balanced, the reason I still think they shouldn't be here is because I don't think keys should be here and It isnt really fair to say one should stay and the other should go.

Furthering your point, if they did this I wouldn't want it to be a perk I would think that the killer should just see the hatch aura kind of like how the killer can see both switches all the time, If you look at it as increasing the exit count from 2 to 3

  • @Seraphor said:

Mori's are functionally fine after the nerf, and they're an iconic part of a killers kit, their unique kill animation deserves to be seen. The problem is that there's really no reason to use them as an offering over some other better offerings. Mori's should award a BP bonus for Kills by your own hand. 50/75/100% bonus respectively maybe.

Keys are mostly fine, the problem is the hatch spawn conditions. There should be no reason the hatch could be opened while survivors are still capable of repairing generators. The killer's objective is to defend generators and score hooks, by downing survivors, who need to repair generators, it's a simple circular objective loop which gives the killer no reason to go out scouting for the hatch. So to have the game suddenly and abruptly end while the survivors still have objectives to do, completely outside of the killers control, is just wrong. So change the Hatch spawning conditions to only; when there's one remaining survivor (they can re-open it with a key), or when all generators have been repaired. In both cases, all it's doing is increasing the possible exit points from two to three, and it's more than reasonable for the killer to patrol three exit points when the killer has no other objectives either. I'd even suggest a killer offering/perk that unlocks the ability to see the aura of the hatch.

You know what now that you mention it, I guess my frustration mainly with keys does actually come from the hatch I 100% agree with the concept that survivors shouldn't be able to use the hatch when gens can still be completed.

  • @Clevite said:

First, not survivors, this particular group of survivors. We really need to stop applying the bad behavior of one game as data for the whole community as if it's every game.

There are plenty of awesome kind players on both sides that do not engage in these behaviors.

    But, congrats on your win!!!

Made an edit, I did that in a pervious post as well you are totally right I shouldn't generalize.

  • @katoptris said:

It to get your attention that why. If a survivor does it don't bothered with them. I like to assert my dominance on them tho.

Yeah but, thats the thing other than a quick glance im not gonna pay attention to the guy spamming his flashy at me cause chances are that guy is good at looping

Like to me all clicky does is tell me that your either a good player or an arsehole

  • @SMitchell8 said:

You can't expect killers to not hit the next survivor that comes into contact with them. I'll slug a survivor if they don't get far from the hook they we're just on, but I wont continuously hand out lifelines.

You're comment makes no sense, in terms of what I am saying. These killers are downing someone and then only going for them, even to the point of ignoring other survivors infront of them.

To be fair, DS was pretty stupid before the nerf honestly. But I do agree with the nerfs to solo queue. Solo queue players haven't had anything buffed for them since kindred got buffed. They need some sort of communication to perform optimally or at least a little better. New gestures would be a start.

I completely agree with the DS changes, DS is suppose to be an anti tunnel perk, before this nerf it wasn't that it was an immunity badge that lasted for 60 seconds. Now it actually does what it was intended to do.

  • @Clevite said:

Tunneling is always going to be prevalent with noobs. They haven't learned to play well yet and are still more concerned with kills than getting better or bloodpoints.

However I am one of those that believe Tunneling as a tactic is becoming meta, more and more. I see it constantly. I said in a previous post, last Friday I hit 10 DSs. In one night. I have never done that before, and this is post nerf.

It's another chicken or egg debate. Killers hate SWF, tunnel dude out of game, no one helps or takes protection hit. Survivors say ######### this, I'm starting to SWF.

    It is the game.

I agree with you, that tunneling is a meta tactic now days. What I am referring to is when people tunnel out the gate first thing.

There are certain situations where tunneling is the best thing and maybe even the only thing a killer can do, but that is fine because it takes some knowledge of the game to recognize these situations.

  • @DecisiveDwight said:

I personally will only t bag and click if the killer was playing dirty eg tunnelling or trying to camp me out of the game if you play dirty I'm gonna be horrible to you at end game otherwise I'll just take my bearings and go also if it upsets you or annoys you that much do what I do don't play to their bait stand in a corner and go get a drink and snack while waiting for them to go and your next match to start, or you could just scare them out of the gate by running halfway in then watching them scatter also what I will do is bing bong them at the gate if they wanna be toxic I'll just hope they are stupid enough to come out of their safety net to run around me as I use noed and it's great when they think you don't have it then bam another kill because of their stupidity.

See that makes sense, if I'm toxic then I will deal with the clicking and stuff, but if it is a fair game and I go out of my way to play fair and they still do it, it makes me wonder why I even bother. And yeah If i see them doing it i will usually just chase them out or go around and just break dropped pallets and things like that. Just annoys me that they do it in the first place

  • For me it is how no matter what happens when he harpoons you he gets value, like you can shoot someone then if they manage to break the chain, sure you get stunned but, they still get injured and deep wounds, you can also harpoon someone and pull them and then, instantly drop the chain with no stun and hit them, and also the instant ads, like everyone else, has said is also really really silly. (Please correct me if I'm wrong on anything)

I want them to revisit the idea of The Teacher.

Idk why it just seems neat and I like the dunce cap perk icon!

YES, I want that icon so goddam bad idc how bad the perk would be I would run it every game just for the icon

Oh bruhhhhh... yellow ranks??? Yeah your teammates are gonna feed the Michael for sure LMAOOOO

Honestly, if you keep running into Tombstone Michael Myers (I personally cannot remember the last time I went against Tombstone Myers, myself) I'd just equip Spine Chill, sprint burst, and make sure I knew where the closest locker was at all times LOL. Otherwise, you're just gonna keep getting punished for what your teammates are doing by feeding the hungry Michael.

You, sir, make a most excellent idea, I might start running spine chill and sprint burst in all my games, until i get back into purples probably

  • @Mandy said:

yeah I really don't get the issue with this add-on personally. It takes so much stalking to do, and as a survivor you can work out if the killer has this by the amount of stalking they're doing so there's definite outplay to it - plus lockers as @Shirokinukatsukami said.

I've been in matches where the killer had this addon and never even reached T3 because the survivors played smart and avoided the stalk.

I find it to be like Devour Hope, high risk high reward type of thing - which I have no issue with in the game.

You along with the other guy make very good points, Honestly, now i think about it the reason it probably has been working so well for killers I play against is that I'm solo queuing in yellow ranks, I haven't played dbd for a while took a break from gaming due personal reasons. Maybe a combo of the low rank and rusty skills I have makes this addon seem a lot more troubling than it actually is.

  • @Shirokinukatsukami said:

Tombstone Myers takes an ungodly amount of stalking to work, and slows him down to boot.

Just genrush him and loop it.

    You can do it.

If he manages to fill up the bar before you finish gens, jump in locker to force him to grab you instead of kill you.

I know you can do it, but it's more so the fact that the odds of you actually doing it just aren't that high, and yes it slows him down but if you run play with your food then you can make him go back to normal speed or close enough to it. Honestly tho you are right gen rushing him and jumping into lockers are really the only thing you can do and I think that serves to further prove my point that it is just not a fair or fun addon to play against and In my experience to play with.
