  • That seemed like cheating and not the server because he threw the pallet, stunned the Wraith, somehow got hit, and then the Wraith broke the pallet from the other side and had to come around to pick him up. But then again I played a match against a really sketchy doc that seemed to glitch closer during chases but he hit me once and it caused me to do the glitch. I just kept running and watched him lose so much ground. I thought it was hilarious so I just kept running all the way around the map, glitch running about 20% faster than a normal speed but it went away as soon as I stopped. It was weird because I don't know how to hack and it looked like I was hacking and the killer didn't even bring it up post game? Maybe his glitch hack was contagious, lol

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/121838/the-problem-people-have-with-billy

Didnt you make a thread about billy already? You too act as if all maps are not filled with obstacles inbetween, billy can not zip across the map the entire time. People who do struggle against billy are people who make lots of mistakes because that is what billy capitalizes on.

Stop spamming your issue and making 3-4 bad survivors into something survivors or people actually have a problem with.

Billy capitalizes on everything, lol. While he is zipping around, he can stop the moment he sees someone and depending on the add ons you barely stand a chance. The worst is seeing a P3 Billy because you already know he either has insta-saw and will tunnel and proximity camp everyone pretty quickly. Good times

  • How does everyone not see that the problem isn't the perk but the abuse of the perk in SWF teams as with every other aspect of every perk that has been nerfed or reworked.... All the "balancing" and nerfing of perks is just destroying solo survivors just to minimize the bullying tactics of strong SWF teams. Not to mention the fact that when you happen to get put on a SWF team and their little game plan falls apart, the DC or suicide on hook game begins and it's almost an instant 2v1 or 1v1.... But to get back on track, just tunnel the person using OoO because that's what happened to me the few times I even tried using it as a solo survivor, but I guess I understand why now. So thank you for this and I will make sure I never use it again.

  • That's the most ridiculous thing I've heard that you blame the killer for a survivor Disconnecting because of an add on... the hatchet is one of the easier range attacks to dodge and especially when people are really good at survivor. I do think that it should hard cap the 1 hatchet limit so you can't use extra hatchet add ons in combination but it's pink for a reason. lol

  • I've been playing killer lately because of the extremely long survivor ques and it's beyond frustrating to play against nothing but SWF teams that 2 people torment and slam pallet after pallet in your face while 2 others finish gens so fast that you literally have no choice but to tunnel since you get the first hook after 2 gens are done already. God forbid 1 survivor sees a totem and mid chase it's destroyed by a comm'd up teammate and they can relay killer location, totem placement, and god knows what else...lol. it's no wonder everyone feels it necessary to use NOED, Ruin, BBQ, and good add ons because it's getting a little ridiculous.... the difference in a game with a couple solos and comm'd up SWF is so astronomically different, I can't believe the Devs think it's remotely possible to balance the game unless they make universal communication for all survivors and buff some of the killers that are lower or mid tier. And the maps......holy crap but that's another story altogether...

  • I've noticed more DCs ever since they announced punishments for DCing? I played several games yesterday that almost every survivor was either DCing on first hook, first down, or just chasing the killer for the quick unhook. It's making playing as solo survivor unbearably annoying. The last game 2 survivor's DC'D after being hit once and the other survivor and I got 3 gens done but soon as the doctor found me and eventually downed me, the other survivor went up to him and set his toolbox down and just crouched in front of him? Asking for mercy I suppose? Didn't work, lol. Got downed and hooked. Game over..... Dead by daylight is turning into a good 2 v 1 game lately, lol

  • it should be changed from a hex in my opinion and have a cooldown after hooking a survivor so it doesn't make the last 3 gens impossible. As a hex it's too weak since it's only going to be really good during endgame and 3 close gens. But the cooldown will make it so it still has a counter play. That's just from reading it since I haven't actually tried it yet.

  • I have noticed a lot of people playing like idiot's lately but I did have a legion who literally hooked someone and ran around the hooked survivor until I finally found a tiny window to unhook and turned out he had an ebony mori so mori'd the claudette and then camped me to death. Last 2 survivors played really well and finished the gens without getting seen and just before the last survivor escaped the legion rage quit!?!? lol, it was hilarious

  • But I just played a game as Huntress and was shocked by how slow she was during chases and if it wasn't for getting half my hooks before they found Ruin, there's no way I would have 4k'd since they got all the gens done. It was a struggle but I don't ever hook same survivor twice in a row or camp but it was a struggle. I would have gotten destroyed if it was post ruin change.

  • I just played against a legion with ruin, purple add ons, and an ebony mori that camped and mori'd the first survivor, camped me to death and then got outplayed by the last 2 and rage quit before the second could escape, lol. Not fun for me or the mori'd survivor but rage quitting after playing like that? Wow, and survivors were all rank 10-12

  • I get that ruin was annoying but with the rework it really shouldn't be a hex anymore because it's not that useful until the end of the game so it's probably gonna get destroyed relatively soon wasting a perk slot. By reading the changes although I have yet to try it so I'm just speculating.

  • Just bring Franklin's Demise, lol. If I see four toolboxes or 3 toolboxes and a flashlight, I'm bringing Franklin's, whisperers, monitor and abuse, and make your choice. Usually four K or get some DCs but it's a good counter.

  • And by my comment of "anything you do " I mean nerfing, buffing, or reworking most perks.

  • Why is it so hard for everyone to understand that the problem is that the game is trying to be balanced for SWF and solo which is never going to happen because the communication advantage of SWF means anything you do will screw solo survivors. As a solo survivor I can tell you that it's not survivor sided at all unless you have potato teammates. As killer it's obvious when a team is SWF because it's usually 3 or 4 k easily if not SWF. If one person saw ruin on SWF matches it was toast pretty quickly no matter what you do. They can relay chase info, totem placement, gen locations, and other crucial information where solo can do none of. SWF makes many perks unnecessary and the combining of running the same load out can bully and destroy a good killer and solo go based on their own perk selection with no other info. I usually stay around rank 4 as survivor and just played 10 games with rank 12-15 survivors who were obviously SWF and I am the only one that dies even though I end up with twice as many bloodpoints as everyone else? It's funny I die and get over 20k and the ones that "win" get 12-16k? Probably cause I was the only solo, lol.

  • I've killed so many survivors that had a key and also the times I brought a key only saved me 1/10 times because you still have to find the hatch. The only time they are really good is with SWF teams which is the single reason this game can't be balanced. Also I find it hilarious when they actually work. I went an entire game not getting hit once and when the exits powered the killer left the only other survivor, bee lined towards me to the last gen I finished and instadowned and mori'd me, lol. So I got one hit and mori'd when I played really well, finished most of the gens, looped and avoided getting hit even once during the match, and mori'd as soon as I finished the last gen. But keys punish killers? Lol, it's a game! kill the player with the key first next time because odds are they brought the add ons so they don't lose it.

  • I've just always gone with the idea that slightly means a little better than normal, moderately means a tiny bit better than slightly, considerably means a tiny bit better than moderately, and tremendously means a tiny bit better than considerably, lol. All of which are fractions of a second but can be game changing for charging, repairing, and healing in terms of trying not to waste time. Actually having numbers would make it seem insignificant when it's quite helpful in game considering how everything works.

  • I don't understand why rework is the exact same meaning as murder when it comes to the way these Devs think... I swear every time they "rework" something, they either murder it completely from 90% use rate to .9% use rate and vice versa. I'm a survivor mainly but the times I play as killer, gens get done sooooo fast against SWF teams and even with ruin the moment one survivor sees it, it's destroyed because they already told everyone else where it is. SWF is going to kill the game for solo survivors if Devs keep trying to balance it without keeping in mind the amount of SWF teams there really are. It's sad because I've enjoyed this game from the beginning but find myself playing less and less due to the drastic changes, cost, toxicity, and inconsistency of the game working properly. M1 attacks out of nowhere, pallets that won't drop, getting stuck on nothing, and random latency. I once lithe through a window and had a hillbilly chainsaw me halfway through my sprint after shack window getting downed at the doorway thinking he must have went around and outsmarted me. Only to see him on the other side of the window about 8 meters behind me, lol. Things like that happen quite a bit actually.

  • I play both sides pretty evenly and I'm usually around ranks 4-6 as survivor and rank 10-14 as killer and I almost always bring small game to do totems so I don't have to worry about NOED and it makes the game a challenge to get all totems and gens. I personally think the ruin nerf is almost as bad as the MoM nerf as it essentially killed the perk and doesn't make much sense to me. To completely change a perk that so many people use is absurd and games will likely go really fast now. I guess we'll have to wait and see but I don't think it's a good change personally.

  • it can help when there is still 2 gens and only 2 survivors and 1 finds a key and can luckily have 1 or both escape. I do hate hatch campers though.

  • I had a Ghostface dc after he hooked me once, someone found his Ruin and while he was chasing one survivor the other 2 including myself must have been doing gens because the last 3 gens popped at the same time as he downed the survivor. He instantly disconnected and I'm not going to lie, it was hilarious because I've never had 3 gens pop at the same exact time, lol. While I was doing the gen I was wondering what everyone else was doing because it seemed like nothing except the one getting chased....but apparently they were all doing gens 😂

  • I typically don't mind mori's and try to mori on death hook the few times I burn it and I like the killer animations. I do get annoyed when I get farmed off my first hook and then mori'd. That sucks if you had a good item.

  • you have to hook them once first, lol.

  • Meyers is the killer I got all the hard rift challenges done with. The basement hook and sacrifice challenges and the interrupt survivor grab challenge. Also the endgame sacrifice challenges so I definitely think he's one of my favorite killers. Except the fact that they nerfed the mirror and tombstone add ons making him super slow and no lunge with them equipped making them really weak.

  • I finally completed everything and the 4 basement sacrifices was the worst one by far. I was so glad I finally found a team that the last survivor didn't DC. After completing every single challenge I'm still only at tier 61 so I have 9 to go. Not sure if I will finish

  • I float around ranks 4-6 as survivor and I've gotten on some teams that everyone is ranked 15-18 and it does get frustrating that I seem to end up being chased for so long that by the time I get hooked 3 gens are done and the killer just hangs out around me. But it doesn't even matter because I can see everyone's aura just doing gens and then bailing on me from the other side of the map. You know something is up when you die first and have way more bloodpoints than anyone else, lol.

  • if it's the beginning of the game and u just kinda hover around the hooked survivor it's proximity camping but if it's the end of the match and they expect you to do anything but camp, they are complete idiot's and to answer your question, "yes" SWF and survivors in general are very toxic if they make bad decisions and end up getting destroyed because they were ultra altruistic and didn't want to give up the one sacrifice, lol.

  • I'm usually float around ranks 10 and 11 as killer because I don't really go try hard and usually just 2 hook or do daily's. But I can tell when someone is red ranks and usually kill them as they are usually kinda toxic. I'm guessing the 2 red ranks were SWF which made it worse because just being red ranks isn't that big of a deal with killers typically having the advantage. I have noticed that if I don't bring ruin gens are done really fast against obvious SWF teams? Like ridiculous fast so ruin is almost a must and both the red ranks brought small game otherwise the match would have been different and this would never be posted to begin with, lol.

  • This is literally the worst topic because it's not that Devs are survivor sided at all and the game is actually killer sided. The only huge difference is SWF because if everyone was solo and couldn't relay information it would be killer sided. The information that can be instantly communicated in SWF games makes it impossible to balance and if killers get their way and SWF quits all together, good luck ever getting a match with 3 survivors waiting for the solo that will never come. It's so easy to tell the difference between a game with solo survivors and an SWF team it's not even funny.

  • I play solo and can't tell you how many times I've cleansed 4 totems and it was a close match with a couple dead because ruin took awhile to find and you luckily got gens done. Trying to make it out hoping that one of your 3 teammates happened to cleanse the 1 totem you could not find!.......but......nope! Instadown game over, lol. And I have noticed when I play killer and use rancor a lot of times the obsession instantly DCs causing a chain reaction of DCs and last survivor just crouched praying for the hatch, lol. Which is most likely the one solo that got stuck with the SWF DC crew since he was the only one that burned an offering and brought an item.......solo survivor is such a crapshoot!

  • I honestly don't know how people can do gens as fast as they do. I usually play survivor and gens are a grind but I played killer recently and they were finished so quickly? Even if I had ruin? Also the speed of the survivors and how well they can loop, not to mention the fact that M1 seems to just do what it wants lately? Swinging prematurely for no reason and not working when you want it to? Not sure if it's bugged or a bad connection but it's frustrating and almost makes you camp if the game is pretty much over and you finally get to hook someone. It's only with obvious SWF games though.

  • Has anyone else had an issue with the m1 randomly swinging attack and not working when you want it to? It doesn't happen much on my pc but my laptop is pretty bad?

  • They are only OP when the Huntress is really good, lol. I've had games that I didn't even realize it was being used because hatchets are usually not too hard to dodge. I actually think it's worse when people use the really quick wind up add on in general. But against a good Huntress the extra hatchets are awful.... Usually everyone just DCs when killers use really strong perks and add ons lately. It's so irritating.... I don't understand it personally

  • There's nothing high skill about Ruin, NOED, BBQ, or half of the killer perks so there's no need to nerf survivor perks that people figure out how to use. To be honest I didn't even know you could do that with sprint burst and I usually don't use it. But thanks for the info. I'm definitely going to see how hard it is to get to work next time I play survivor. It definitely seems situation and not easy to pull off though.

  • I love how killer mains complain about every little decent perk survivors have but when I play as a survivor and find 4 of 5 totems and they destroy 4 survivors with Ruin, BBQ, NOED, Discordance, and countless other strong perks, not to mention ebony mori's ....not a word?.. So many survivor perks have been nerfed into the ground , MoM for example... it's so killer sided for solo survivors. SWF is a different situation but for solo it's bad enough. I don't even really try as killer anymore unless it's obviously an SWF team because it seems so unfair, lol. Killers have a lot of crutch perks so killer mains need to seriously stop complaining and except that they have the upper hand. I can't tell you how many people DC because the game goes so badly in a few minutes because of the perks and add ons with super try hard killers.

  • I think the Archives have a lot to do with it as most of them are survivor challenges and I've found myself playing a lot more survivor games especially on some of the more difficult challenges. But it is odd when I play killer at rank 12 and get a SWF team of rank 4-6 and get bullied for 1or 2 kills. Then again my next match will be solo rank 15s and I destroy them with add ons and perks I should have brought the last game and then feel bad for taking my frustrations out on a team that didn't deserve it, lol.

  • All the people saying that BBQ isn't strong are obviously killer mains that don't want their precious perk nerfed, lol. I play both sides and running BBQ and ruin almost guarantee a 4k unless it's a well coordinated SWF team.

  • I think it's funny how many times I've died with a key because I couldn't find the hatch. Actually I think I've actually escaped out of the hatch with a key 1 out of 5 or 6 times so I don't think it's that big of a deal. Anytime someone has a bad game or gets mori'd or has a key escape they want to complain about the item when the problem is SWF because either one can find the hatch and relay the information. I play solo

  • I agree about it being a waste of a time for just a cosmetic on an existing killer but I believe Jason would be better as a Meyers skin if that were the case. I don't think it's going to happen as Jason has his own game already. It's unfortunate because I bought both games at the same time and only played Friday the 13th a few hours as I found it kinda difficult to figure out.

  • I agree that we should be able to see ranks again. I have never lobby dodged and to be honest I think there's always something you can bring to counter what you see as survivors so I don't understand why people would lobby dodge? I usually play survivor but played killer last 3 games for Rift challenges and daily and the DC rate is ridiculous! I played against SWF teams that were rank 5 and 6 and I'm 15 since I don't play killer much. All games 2 players DC'd after first down or first hook? Everyone was going for Ruin and I had a trap set so it didn't go well for them, lol. Hopefully they get some kind of penalty. I just ended up farming one game and gave hatch to last 2. I have a feeling rift challenges are gonna be a grind.

  • if you get unhooked and the person starts to heal you, it's easy to see if they have We'll Make it by the speed and if you feel it's an unsafe heal simply run away and break the healing process. But I do hate when you are being carried to a hook and see someone running right behind the killer and unhooking you immediately only to find out they DON'T have borrowed time! Being farmed to death is the worst, especially when you bring a good item.

  • The problem has nothing to do with perks or add ons in my opinion. It's SWF teams all comm'd up because it puts solo survivors on such an unlevel playing field. It's so easy to tell as soon as the game starts and people know they are safe on the other side of the map when killer is close to someone and can relay vital information. Anything you do to "balance " the game just makes it worse for us solo survivors because SWF is what makes the game impossible to "balance "....

  • Sprint burst doesn't need to be nerfed....it only gives survivors a couple seconds head start if they haven't already used it and I actually like seeing people use it because I know when I catch them I don't have to worry about DH, Lithe, or balanced landing. Most people don't even use it at higher ranks. I can always expect it when I see a survivor walking away until I get really close. I don't know what the 99% thing is so I can't speak on that?

  • I've never had these issues and I play quite often? I've noticed a few times after a match that when you get ready to leave chat and go back to the main menu it says "an error occurred" but it just takes me back to the menu that you pick survivor or killer so it's really not an inconvenience at all. Are you sure it's the game or could it be something else? I know I had a match a couple days ago where I hit a survivor at a gen and got stuck. The only way I got free was a cocky survivor came and started repairing the gen right next to me and it let me grab her! lol, it was hilarious. But they addressed that issue in the last patch. I'll have to try Huntress again and see if that's an issue now? I haven't used her in awhile

  • I just finished the last challenge yesterday and it was the unhook someone safely after endgame collapse has started and I pretty much sacrificed myself with borrowed time to a face camping trapper...but it was worth it to be done with level 3 challenges, lol. I'm only at tier 49 on the rift but I've done all challenges through level 3.

  • I don't care who you are or how you try to argue it, but the video that DwightOP shared was EXACTLY why you can't balance this game without completely killing solo survivors because I play as killer and 4k so easily unless it's an obvious SWF team and only play as solo survivor. To be honest the killers that keep crying about ruin needing to be standard and asking for other killer buffs are just coming off a bad loss to a team like in the video and have nothing to say about the 5 games previously that they slaughtered a bunch of solo survivors, lol

  • The game is fine....people just get salty because they have a bad game and need to vent. I'm guilty of it myself. I personally enjoy watching myself get mori'd unless I brought a good item and add ons then I complain too. Killers are a little OP but they are supposed to be. I just hope they don't listen to all the killer mains that want Ruin as part of the game without using a slot, that would ruin the game, lol. I do feel BBQ needs a little nerf but Mori's are ultra rare and you shouldn't see them that often. I hate when the few times I decide to play killer and use one because I need to kill by my own hands and everyone DC's like cowards not realizing I was only going to kill 1 or 2 depending on the daily

  • I just saw it when I got on and wanted to add to it. Didn't realize it was an issue.

  • I think the game should start with all 4 survivors in chains and have to wiggle out and start the game injured and broken with ruin being normal gen repair and perks all have a 3 minute cooldown. Also BBQ should be built in with every killer and cut the maps in half. Give survivors 1% speed increase while injured and disable running period. That way it's fair and every killer can 4k every game in under a minute and nobody plays survivor anymore essentially killing the game. OoO is only problematic with well organized SWF and even then it's counterable, just get rid of them first. Anytime I ever used that perk it was a suicide mission almost immediately. Nerf BBQ so it only shows auras the first 3 hooks like distortion. lol

  • I just think it's unfortunate that you really don't get to see all the different skins because people don't typically buy them as much since they are so expensive. If they lowered the price or gave some trade-in value I would be way less hesitant to buy them. I think other people would agree and they would make a lot more money and people would see more skins in game.

  • I think essentially you lose a pip is because the entity is unhappy that you were greedy and killed everyone instead of sacrificing them on her hooks which is why it brought everyone there, lol
