Try to use main building/high ground at the start of the trial to stalk unaware survivors. Use the perk Corrupt Intervention to force them to come to you and make stalking them easier.
There’s no guarantee that you’ll never be spotted at the beginning of the match, but the goal is to have them 99% stalked before they can react to you. Also, wear DARK cosmetics.
-
If you’re good with your killer and you’re using a strong build you’ll be significantly less anxious. The anxiety never completely goes away though.
-
Ghostface needs to be at the very top of Medium tier. Clown should be in Challenging tier at the very least.
Bubba in challenging tier? Lmao, he’s brain dead easy, you could probably master him in around 300 hours or less. Besides all that, list is ok.
-
Skill issue
-
Because you rely solely on yourself to win when playing as killer which makes the experience more sweaty.
You can’t control how sweaty or efficient your SoloQ teammates play, which makes the survivor experience more casual.
-
I’m definitely not playing DBD anymore if they nerf STBFL. If I’m broken out of stealth as Ghostface, perks like STBFL and PWYF basically give me a second power when Night Shroud fails me. It’s also just a really fun perk to use.
-
Having the same problem
-
Kinda crazy that they refuse to kill 1 survivor perk. Like I didn’t even care that the gen regression perks got killed, but now I find out that now survivors who play badly and get hooked get free DH. Great…..
-
Watch, killers are still going to see 3 or 4 Dead Hards in every single match despite the nerfs because it’s a free 3rd health state. So much for a meta shakeup.
-
Say goodbye to your crutch perk
-
3 of the 4 players on each team are not even using an item. So you’re getting 3 man escapes against weak, low prestige teams.
Not really sure what to say because I don’t lose to teams like this. Have you tried bullying them back? Tunneling, camping, and slugging are valid strategies.
-
You’re completely forgetting that you can’t control how well your Solo teammates play or how efficient they are at doing gens.
If you really care that much about winning then just play in a 4 man SWF, use comms, and bring your sweatiest gen rushing loadout every single match.
-
Cool concept but I want a fully mutated William Birkin killer to be added. We already have a Blight skin of William Birkin, might as well add his fully mutated form to the game as a brand new killer.
-
@Marik1987 said:
Just give killers 6 Scourge Hooks to increase their chances of actually getting the 4 hooks OR increase the numbers to 25%.
This is a great idea. More hooks around the map so you can get value from the 4 uses of the perk.
-
COH needed a big nerf but removing self-healing from it is a pretty bad idea
-
The Dead Hard nerf is great.
The COH nerf hurts SoloQ more than SWF. They should heavily nerf the perk without removing self-healing entirely.
Pointless nerfs to Medkits and healing speeds.
Gen regression perk nerfs that encourage more killer perk variety (a good thing).
Lightburn removal is great.
Decent update.
-
Yeah honestly they should probably just get rid of Wraith’s and Hag’s weakness to flash lights. Both of them are not very strong in the current meta to begin with, there’s no point in making them them more difficult to play.
With that being said, Franklin’s Demise is great perk option for Hag and Wraith.
-
Damn, that’s unfortunate to hear. Anyways, I’m gonna continue having a blast turning every indoor map into a haunted house while playing as Ghostie, Myers, or literally any stealth killer. Hope you have better luck in future matches.

- Devs will give love to m1 killers
- Devs will remove Dead Hard or nerf it to the ground
- Devs will nerf Medkits/Toolboxes and COH
- Killers will destroy blessed totems once they snuff them
- Gens will have constant repair speed ( no more gen rushing perks )
- Corrupt Intervantion pre nerf will become basekit
When Devs start maining killer and get good at it, they will realise all the problems the game have
I definitely agree with a lot of these points. Here’s my opinion
- Making the maps more balanced will make M1 killers stronger.
- DH definitely needs to be removed or nerfed into oblivion.
- Brand New Part should be nerfed but otherwise Medkits and TBs are ok. COH should not increase healing speeds of medkits.
- You’re 100% right on this one.
- I disagree, let survivors have their gen rush perks but have the maximum amount of time shaved off of a gen using perks or toolboxes be capped so a gen can’t be finished in a ridiculous amount of time like 30-45 seconds.
- I like this idea but I think it would be better to just revert the nerf to Corrupt Intervention rather than making it basekit.

Then what will Shadowborn do? Prevent FOV from changing? Again it all means extra work that seemingly is too much of a hassle for the devteam
Lmao it would be easy to give Shadow Born a new ability. They could literally just make anything up and change the perk if they wanted to. There are so many bad/useless perks that it wouldn’t matter if they changed it to be a trash perk.
New Shadow Born: Dark Mist on maps is longer visible for the killer.
Boom. Now the perk counters mist offerings. Now increase our FOV by 15 degrees.

The simple reason is that the moment they do give us a slider is the moment they have to update/patch all future and past viewmodels to correctly display.

The example above should explain why, but to define it; they would need to further tweak this for the slider, possibly even make a new model.
Still not seeing a reason why Shadow Born can’t be basekit at the bare minimum

There was the HUD changes which are good. Now there is visual heartbeat, which is great accessibility wise and honestly I think it will be useful for most people in general.
That said, there have been numerous reports of people getting motion sickness and having to waste an entire perk slot on Shadowborn. Also it is just nice to not be looking out of a Pringles can.
For some reason there is radio silence on this issue. BHVR’s stubborness on this is really remarkable.
There’s no reason why killer shouldn’t get an FOV slider other than the fact that BHVR fears upsetting survivors more than they fear upsetting killers. I find it pretty comical that killers have to beg for a QOL feature that is present in 99% of first-person games.
They’re so afraid of survivor backlash that you can’t even see the hook stages of survivors while playing killer even if you have the hook stage tracker turned on in your settings.

It's the perk that helps the most against strongest killers. So generally speaking YES. But let's say that there could be a few exceptions to the rule - say Freddy does not need any more punishment.
You’re definitely just trolling. DH hurts M1 killers and lower tier killers the most. The strongest killers in the game are barely affected by it.
You sound like you need to play a few matches as Clown or Pig and then come back to this thread and tell me that DH is not much of a problem for weaker M1 killers

Then there comes the need to balance it out. Because killers overperfomed (as said - over 60%kr not counting DC's). So maybe make all killers base 3% slower?
No it just cause a meta shakeup and more people would use lithe, SB, and balanced landing to replace DH.
Also, you’re seriously saying that ALL killers need to be nerfed because this ONE survivor perk is so powerful that it is single handedly keeping the kill rates from exceeding 60%? One perk nerfed so all killers nerfed?
Your statement literally proves that DH is absolutely busted and needs to be nerfed.

How is camping from the killer POV fun? You're doing nothing.
You’ve never insidious camped with any killer and gotten jumpscares and free downs? You’re definitely missing out.
Even when I’m not using insidious/undetectable, it’s hilarious to watch survivors just scramble to try to save their teammate. It’s good mean-spirited fun.
-
DH will never be a fair or balanced perk that is healthy in DBD gameplay. It needs to be nerfed into complete irrelevance to the point where people forget the perk even exists.
-
I’m all for it. I welcome any new buffs to Ghostface.
-
Lmao I'll never understand why people make these posts. If you make it impossible to camp with Bubba then it's going to make him a lot less fun to play as.
Same thing with Michael Myer's add-ons. People complain about his Tombstone add-ons but if you nerf his add-ons then Michael Myers will just become a really unfun M1 killer with a really slow early game.
Stop trying to ruin meme killers and let people have fun with the killers they paid for.
-
Michael Myers is fun. He can insta kill Survivors at the beginning of the match if you use his Tombstone add-ons.
Ghostface is extremely fun but he can be difficult to learn, so he’s not too beginner-friendly.
Pinhead has really great perks and is one of the strongest killers in the game if you learn how to play him, but he’s very difficult to learn.

"It's bad playing a historically weak Killer who doesn't do well against SWF's into a 4-man SWF"
Uh....yeah, if you play a weak Killer into their worst-case scenario and refuse to use optimal tactics, you should lose. You are choosing to play Trapper. You are choosing not to tunnel. You are choosing not to camp.
This isn't a "Playing Killer at high MMR is terrible" this is, "I don't want to play optimally to win against other people who are also playing optimally."
Exactly. Play in sub-optimal ways and get sub-optimal results. I don’t know why some people expect a 4K when they don’t bring their very best loadout and they don’t play as sweaty as possible.

Dead Hard should be completely nerfed, so it's dead and buried. Dead hard should be nerfed with the same energy and intensity as eruption. We were promised a meta shakeup, and dead hard is by far the most complained about survivor perk.
The dead hard change clearly wasn't harsh enough, because it's still the number 1 exhaustion perk. It's time to mega nerf the perk, so we can finally get the meta shakeup we were promised.
I agree. The only reason people defend DH is because it’s a crutch perk that they’ve become extremely reliant on and nerfing it would force them to play more cautiously. Nerfing it again would be a healthy change for the game.
-
Nah if we meet I’m gonna slug you and watch you crawl to the hatch and then close it in your face. I’m goofing around if I’m playing with my food and I’ve clearly won
-
The perk doesn’t need incapacitation removed. I don’t think the perk needs to be changed at all, but they’re going to nerf it no matter what so just make the incapacitation status last only 15 seconds instead of 25 seconds.

Yoichi mains are a rare breed indeed. Maybe you’re an exception but they’re typically REALLY overconfident while being usually bad at looping. I think Ash mains are the most overconfident survivors in the game though

Dbd is not horror game it's more like horror themed pvp game. Why you do enjoy making survivors feel bad? I would only enjoy tunneling and crushing bully squads as they try to make killer feel bad so they deserve it but I don't want to become like them. I don't enjoy making survivors who just try to play game feel bad. Tunneling for me is just strat it's not personal I want to win and that's it.
I’m just playing in a way that maximizes how much fun I have. Plus, it’s fun to play as a serial killer and be “the bad guy” who uses under-handed tactics and “any means necessary” to kill the survivors and win. I also use tunneling as a way to guarantee wins too.
Also, no matter how many matches I get rage comments in the endgame chat, I also always get TONS of endgame comments about how intense or nerve-racking it was to play against me. The survivors I face are still having lots of fun, trust me.

I'm not asking you to be nice, just wondering what makes you guys want to do it. It's interesting to me! I don't particularly mind most of the time, it helped me learn how to loop better. As a survivor main, I see what happens to killers and most of the time it's brutal, so I can't blame you, lol. Survivors don't care about using head on, flashlights , flashbangs, etc to bully you so you aren't obligated to baby us.
I am curious though, do you get a lot of ragequitters ? I've seen so many survivors DC due to being tunneling out so early. Does the DC even effect you that much?
I get plenty of DCs. I find it hilarious most of the time but I can also get really annoyed if I have multiple matches in a row where survivors DC. Ideally, no survivors DC during the match, and the remaining survivors still have hope of winning against me and play their absolute best. I do want them to be demoralized though, it makes the victory that much sweeter.

Agree on the Leons though. They're the pure himbos of DbD and I love them with all my heart.
I'd say Haddie, as I must be the only one in my region and I suck at chases real bad haha
Dwights are either quite bad or they're bald gods.
Felix is rarely a good looper as well.
I forgot to mention Haddie lmao, they’re always clueless.
The Felix’s I face are always good at looping but they rage quit at the drop of a hat.

For real. They are walking enigmas. I don’t know how all of them are so bad lol
@Huge_Bush said:
Claudette is either the best looper on the team or they are me, the worst.
I totally agree with you. They’ll either loop you for 5 gens or they’ll loop you for 15 seconds. No In between .
-
Most of the time it’s because the survivors are sweating like crazy and genrushing, but I honestly think tunneling is fun. I get to see the other survivors panic and try to stop me from tunneling their teammate out (usually to no avail), I get to take my time and toy with the remaining survivors (if there are 3 or more gens left), I like winning my matches (3K or 4K), and I find it hilarious because it’s such evil/mean spirited thing to do.
If there was a more evil strategy I could use to secure wins and maximize survivor rage, I would do it in a heartbeat. Do you expect the person who’s playing as a serial killer in a horror game to play nice? Lmao.

1) Alien
2) Alien
3) Alien
The only two responses in this thread that matter
-
When I’m winning, I’m having fun. Eruption helps me win more, so to me using Eruption is fun.
I also love the anticipation of wondering how many people will be incapacitated right before I down a wounded survivor. Fun times.
-
Corrupt Intervention would be great as a basekit perk
-
Hex: Call Me Daddy
After successfully hitting a hooked survivor, all other survivors scream and suffer the exposed status effect for 2/3/4 seconds
-
One well timed DH can easily cost the killer the entire match, kinda ridiculous that a killer should lose just because a survivor pressed E once. If a survivor is running through a pallet, you basically have to swing or risk getting a pallet dropped on you. DH is not good for healthy gameplay in DBD.
Remove DH from the game or rework it to be something completely different.

I'm showing you official data that influences BHVR's decisions. They listen to to that data much more than a couple of plebs arguing in a forum thread.
While SoloQ can't ever be as good as SWF, the game should be designed in a thoughtful enough manner that things don't get added to the game that are easily countered by SWFs but difficult if not impossible to counter by SoloQs. That's bad and irresponsible game design. While SWFs will always be above SoloQ the devs should do their best to not artificially widen the gap with crap like Eruption.
You identify map pressure as one of his issues, perhaps a reasonable buff that wouldn't be so objectionable would be a passive slowdown in addition to or related to his current powers. Maybe survivors have their gen repair speed reduced by a percentage if they have been at least 50% stalked and if a survivor isn't stalked or chased for 5 seconds their stalk begins to decay and takes 15 seconds to decay down to 50% and then they remain 50% stalked. GF would get some gen slowdown but trade it for a bit of lethality, but keeping 50% stalk would still be powerful since he'd often be able to expose people before they could reveal him anyway. Just something off the top of my head, you can take it and run with it.
To be honest, I wouldn't change or buff Ghostface. I don't care about him.
I guess a Sadako nerf is incoming because the official statistics say she’s way too strong. They actually do listen to what the player base says if they complain enough, which is why Freddy was completely reworked.
I agree that the game should not add changes that significantly impact soloQ but not impact SWF, but most killers in the game, especially GF, are designed around playing against soloQ exclusively. Loading into a match against a sweaty 3 or 4 man SWF on comms already puts most of the killer roster at a huge disadvantage. Balancing the game to bridge the gap between soloQ and SWF is a massive topic that should probably be discussed in another thread though.
I thought SpookyLoopz rework idea was cool because his idea improves on Ghostface’s strengths and what makes him fun to play to begin with. He’s an ambush stealth killer, let’s amplify those qualities.
Your idea of a passive gen slowdown is interesting but I’d rather GF be a stronger stealth killer than a wannabe slowdown killer. His “Driver’s License” add-on is already great for gen slowdown anyways.
I just made the thread as a “what if” topic. I don’t expect another rework, but having GF not be broken out of stealth by survivors would be so amazing though.

They have most definitely tested no red stain & terror radius killers and ruled them out. That's just never going to happen. Permanent Night Shroud would be exactly that. I suggest you pick a different hill to die on if you suggest buffing Ghostface.
His reveal time is currently 1.5 seconds while, his expose time is 5 seconds or 2.5 seconds when leaning so I can already spot a huge problem with making his reveal time 3 seconds.
Your second paragraph is ridiculous. 50%+ of survivor players are SoloQ and you sound like they just deserve to lose because they chose to play SoloQ.
Recent stats:
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/OFAFIJ73H7L5/image.png
And he's in the same spot on the high MMR graph. By the official stats he's almost perfectly balanced.
Are you sure it's not a skill issue on your side? Are you a lazy Ghostface who doesn't lean-stalk enough?
You're showing me the chart that says Sadako is way stronger than Nurse? You've made some decent points but this kill-rate chart argument is just laughable. More people play Nurse than Sadako, so Nurse's killrate is going to be lower than Sadako's since not everyone who plays Nurse is good with her. This chart is not an accurate representation of the strength of each killer, even GF.
Never said that solo survivors deserve to lose. I just said that no matter how many buffs soloQ gets, they will never be as strong as SWF. Even if soloQ was given comms, there are still plenty of people who don't want to talk to their teammates and just want to play the game. Refusing to buff mid-tier killers like GF to protect soloQ is a weak argument.
So you're saying GF shouldn't have permanent Night Shroud but he also shouldn't get buffed so that it takes longer for survivors to reveal him. What do you suggest then? I'd like to know your thoughts on how you would potentially buff or change GF.
Again, he's not a terrible killer, but as a GF with hundreds of hours playing as him, he could use a slight buff.

If you want Ghostface buffed that's fine, but removing his terror radius and red stain completely is not the way to go. It's a bad idea and a hard pass for most people.
Yes, it is too much to ask of players to have more situational awareness so they don’t get grabbed off of a gen. SWFs would have less issues but SoloQs would have to dart their camera from side to side like milk-dipped mouse in a cathouse for most of the game. It's bad enough with Ghostface in his current form and a healthy gen grab can be a tide turning event.
Only one licensed killer has had a positive rework (Bubba) and the rest are either left to rot (Myers, etc) or got destroyed. (Freddy, Pig) At least Ghostface gets new skins.
I still think he wouldn't be OP even with permanent Night Shroud, but I think he could at least use a buff to his reveal mechanic. It's currently way too easy to be broken out of stealth. Maybe increase the time it takes to reveal him to 2.5 seconds or 3 seconds?
Solo survivors and SWF will never be in the same league. Even if they gave solo survivors comms, there are still plenty of players who would never use it because they just want to play and not be forced communicate. The whole point of the survivor role is to work together as a team, and solo survivors need to accept that they will always be at a disadvantage even if killers like Ghostface receive a massive buff.
If I'm sweating my face off to get a 3K or 4K, then they should be sweating to not get grabbed off gens.
I think that a lot of the licensed killers should be buffed or reworked, and I think it's great that the Bubba rework made him stronger. However, survivors can't randomly deactivate Bubba's chainsaw, but they can deactivate Night Shroud on GF.
