  • There's really no reason to keep quiet on this, devs. I can understand you guys not commenting on colorblind settings, because non-colorblind individuals could use it to get an advantage. But anti-aliasing? There's no reason for you guys to not saying about this. This cannot give anyone an unfair advantage. At all. This actively hurts your players. Personally, I don't have a problem with it, I was too lazy to go into the files and fix it anyways. But there are people who are being hurt playing your game because of such a simple thing. Please, give them a response; a reason.

  • Yeah... The map changes were needed, but this just seems to be of poor quality. The Legion vaulting bug still seems to be in, as is the billy bug, people get stuck under the hook, stuck in pallets, ping issues... Makes me wonder what the PTB was even for. I was excited to try out the changes, but this here just seems awful.

It's terrible. The dedicated servers are broken, AA can no longer be turned off, hillbilly looks dope, legion vaults are broken :(

Legion vaults are still broken?! They didn't fix that from the PTB?

  • I think this is the most excited I've been for a DBD Update in a while. I'll probably be waiting until Wednesday to play, but the maps have been my biggest complaint. From what I've seen, my complaints should be gone.

  • Honestly at the rate we're going, I'm not expecting any of the Dedicated Server bugs to ever be fixed. They've been prevalent for so, so long.

  • For Survivors, I've always felt that a perk that temporarily increases the speed of someone you have fully healed/unhooked would be neat.

For Killers, a Hex that makes all totems look like lit totems would be a fun gimmick - making them all appear dull would be a thousand times better, as making them all appear lit might be detrimental, but I'm not sure how fair that would be. I've always wondered how that would play out.

  • Something akin to Uraeus - that stylized, upright, embezzled Egyptian cobra. So just an Egyptian themed snake, basically. The aesthetic would be incredibly pleasing, and a lot of people are scared of snakes. And since Uraeus symbolizes divine authority, I feel like it fits, in a manner similar to Plague - cultist entities serving the, well, Entity.

I've wanted an Egyptian-inspired chapter for years - Anubis would be a more likely choice for an Egyptian chapter - but I just really love that Egyptian theme, and snakes, so, that would be my ideal, non-humanoid choice. That, or just a big-ass spider.

Am I the only one that thinks that having somebody rush in and insta-heal only to have a survivor go straight back down and another one immediately end up in a chase with only one hit left isn't that powerful?

Yeah, that's where I sit with this perk, honestly. Sure, it instaheals, but then there's another surv stuck at the wounded state, easily able to go down. The only case I see this perk being powerful is when there are two people at the exit gates, killer downs one, other surv revives with for the people, both get out, you lose a kill. That is the only, very specific scenario where I see this perk being strong.

  • I'm cool with it. So long as I see less DS, Adrenaline, BT, Unbreakable, I am happy. Both sides need new, good perks. Personally, I don't think it's really that strong, though. At least from Killer perspective it doesn't seem like anything too crazy; they're swapping a health state, so there's still an injured person (who can't heal) I can hit.

  • Seriously... I dislike the Ruin change (though I like the new ruin, honestly) without addressing the core problem, but I can get over that - the game is still playable without it. But the sounds are another matter entirely - and they have been an issue for so long now. So many reports, so many threads - not a single response. Devs, please - say something about this.

Then explain how killer mains like Otz do well without Ruin?

It's not a matter of doing well or doing bad, though - that's my point. I watch Otz regularly, he's one who got me into the game in the first place. There are so many games he has, where the gens just go too fast for him; and what does he do against this? Sometimes, he can't do a damn thing. Other times, he has to slug, which isn't fun for anyone. He does well at times, but that does not mean he doesn't deal with this crippling problem.

Just because he's good at the game doesn't mean he is invulnerable to this core problem in design - he experiences it all the time. Otz, Ardetha, tru3, Scott, int3r4ct... everyone who plays this game who is good at it, still deals with this problem of being unable to get to gens in time.

  • Seriously, it's disgusting how much they aren't even trying to hide it at this point. Survivor-specific bugs get fixed fast, id est basement bug, but game-breaking bugs for killers will just stay there. The audio issues are game-breaking, but they don't give a #########. And here they are, just obviously showing how little they care about gameplay for killers. Nurse, ruined; Oni, ruined; Ruin, Ruined. They just aren't even addressing why we use Ruin.

They say that the killer doesn't need to do anything with Ruin, and that that was a problem. But what about hatches? Keys? Survs don't do anything for them, why are they still here, then? The bias is obvious.

My desire to play this game just keeps going down, and this right here does not help... at all. This ######### sucks.

  • The most annoying part is how quiet they are about this. We have been very vocal this past month on this issue, but they aren't even addressing it. Just say something for Christ's sake - it's not that hard to at least acknowledge it. We have no way of knowing if this is a bug (most likely it is), or if this is just how this game is going to be now.

Just tell us: are you working on this, or are you not? Are you aware of it, or are you not? It's not difficult to at least tell us if you're working on this game-breaking issue. You told us right away when you were working on the basement bug. But you aren't with this. This is not a minor bug, and I do not understand how they don't realize this. It simply breaks the game.

The FoV in this game is set for "balance" reasons.

I think (s)he's just referring to the viewmodel itself, not the game FOV. So just the player controller arms being set further or closer away, not affecting the *actual* FOV.

I'd be down, there's no real reason not to, as that wouldn't give any advantage since it'd just be aesthetic, since it's only moving the model a bit. There are several arms I wish were just a little further away from the screen. It'd be a nice QOL thing.

  • I can understand the code-related ones, those make sense. But no compromise on the event skins is needed - players earned those skins by completing the in-game events. If you didn't, I see no reason you should be entitled to them whatsoever. As much as I would love the huntress one, I was not playing the game at that time - so there's zero reason for me to receive it, regardless of if I pay for it or not, as I did not earn it.

That's the point of event skins; giving players something to earn. It's not fair to give those out to those who did not earn them while there are those who worked for them; it's just silly and unfair. They deserve to keep those unique skins that they worked for. They're the same as the legacy skins, even though the difficulty in earning them is not at all comparable. I'm not entitled to a legacy skin because I did not earn it, so I'm not entitled to an event skin I didn't earn, either.

Salty people would just end up camping and tunneling the SWF players. Don't think it'd be a very good system. Some killer players overrate SWF way too much. Most of them are just as bad if not worse then solo players. Just lose to the power squads and eat the noobies up.

Yeah, that's the first counterpoint I thought of about this, but I feel like the people who'd do that, would have gone and camped or tunneled someone anyways. But, I'd say you're right - it would be abused by some people. However, in the same way killers would abuse this extra information, there are some SWF who do the exact thing - they use their extra information to abuse players. And not all SWF abuse it, obviously. Some of my most fun games have been against SWF, but there are those that do abuse it - so, in that case, it would be the same with this, wouldn't it? There are some who would abuse the extra information, and there are others who wouldn't - it'd be the same story.

I feel like giving killers more information on SWF is a way to "balance" it, though; SWF is powerful due to being given information, so I feel that killers should be given some type of information on them, as well. And this seems like a cheap way to do that. The only ways to give killers more information on SWF - the same way SWF gives survivors more information on the killer - involves the killer knowing they are SWF.

  • Yup, sound's f*cked, again. Honestly makes it a little bit of a pain to play this game, honestly. You can't hear people who are right beside you at times, so you lose them. For a game heavily based around tracking, this is a huge issue.
