I don't want to sound like a bigot but why is there ONLY PRIDE FLAGS in DBD, all i see is pride flags, like i get that it's nice and inclusive for things like pride month but they are there all year long, this is a horror game it has no point in having pride flags in it let alone flags all together ?. The game has been proudly developped by french canadian, Tho in all the years i've played DBD i have never seen a Quebec's Flag on St-Jean Holiday ? They are tons of big youtubers that has created whole communities around this game (Noob3, JRM, Ayrun, Monto, etc) none of these communities have community flags in the game ?

Just to say it again, I have nothing against LGBTQ++ or having LGBTQ++ Flags in game but they are the ONLY FLAGS available. And all of those who helped build this community have no flags what so ever.

I also like how the most popular content creators on this game tell advice on how to balance the game to the Dev yet they only listen to Twitch Killer cry babies. To the point that now it is practically impossible to win a game in solo queue.

    You are completely right.

  • Is still happen btw and is just wrong and unfair that we get penalities for this.

  • @Hexonthebeach said:

For me it's clearly teaming with the survivor and farming you. Go for it.

    lol

How can someone get mad for a match in a videogame and for something like this is literally out of my view

  • As a survivor Xeno is my favorite killer to go against and i don't really care if I escape or not when i play against him.

  • @Royval said:

yall didn’t complain when it was survivor sided for almost an entire decade so no.

    Nice logic 😪🚼️

  • Why not 10 vs 40?

  • @Rogue11 said:

Hope it gets nerfed soon. For a "training wheels" perk, it's insanely high pick rate must mean a massive portion of the playerbase for this 8 year old game are new players!

Smashing the skill gap between mediocre and good survivors isn't something desirable. It's part of what makes mmr matchmaking a nightmare for solo queue. And it further removes skill expression from the game.

Removing Window will just castrate solo Q player even more, so fun running to a pallet spot just to find out it has already been used.

  • @joel84 said:

    Don't get me wrong,

but if the developers want to change the meta further, they need to adapt this perk.

It's time for this perk to get a cooldown.

    Change my mind

I don't understand the need to change the meta witout a right motive

  • @Ayodam said:

2v8 wasn’t the cause of those hits. Hit validation is killer-sided, so killer players with higher ping get hits that on your screen don’t appear to connect.

That's actually one of the biggest bs of this game.

  • @UndeddJester said:

I know that Survivors are gonna pitch a fit at me… but I'm not trying to ruin the SWF experience, so plz do hear me out first… My suggestion is:

You may only take 1 of each perk throughout the whole pre-lobby team…

For SoloQ, obviously anything goes, you take whatever you want, no limits…

However, the more of you that are in a SWF, the more limitations you have… and limitations encourage build diversity, which I personally find a lot of fun… making builds is a part of DBD that I really enjoy…

    So what are the benefits?

Puts a small restriction on SWF, bringing SoloQ a little closer in strength on average

My thought process, is we talk a lot about bringing SoloQ up to SWF level, and there is a lot of contention about what Survivor should have to even out the playing field for SoloQ vs. SWF. People talk about basekit Kindred a lot for example, and I for one don't want basekit Kindred because excessive auras make things easy/boring for me. I find reading the HUD and making assumptions and tactical decisions based on the info I have stimulating as a survivor… and if I want access to those advantages I want to have to invest in it. However it is undeniable that comms in SWF makes Kindred something you don't really need, and if you are so inclined, you can take it to be even more precise in comms; have 1 player take it and be scouting/directing the team.

Having a limitation on SWF means a full team of solos can all have their strongest loadouts, 4 players at max kilter, whereas a SWF needs to trade off strength for the power of comms... this should bring both a little more in line on average.

Allows perks the freedom to be made a little stronger, and not held down by "being abusable in SWF"

We also importantly see how a lot of perks can't be buffed too much/made too strong for Survivor/SoloQ because you unfortunately also buff them for SWF as well, and things become more open to more abuse. We've all seen things like organised duos using Plot Twist, Power Struggle and Flip Flop under pallets to make life very hard for the killer. It IS counterable, but it's also dependent on the killer you're playing and can be quite obnoxious for certain killers with little they can do about it, becoming quite nasty if everyone is doing it on the team… but this only works with effective comms, it's almost impossible to pull this off for SoloQ.

For example Sabotage could be improved a lot… but there is this problem that if it is too good, an organised SWF team can use it to quite effectively bully the killer, and keep putting the killer in lose/lose scenarios. Thus Sabotage is made weak, and thus is hard to use for SoloQ. The effect of Weaving Spiders had a similar problem.

This issue gets diminished significantly if only 1 copy of a perk exists in the SWF loadout, which in turn allows a little more wiggle room for those perks to be made stronger overall, because they can't then be mass spammed by a team.

Promotes build diversity, and adds an interesting new layer to playing in a SWF

For anyone thinking this kills SWF, I'm not convinced it does. I for one would find building for SWF far more interesting, because instead of everyone just taking the strongest builds they can, we have to think about what perks we want to take, and what roles we want to occupy in our team. The whole team dynamic now takes a little more thought and becomes far more interesting, and the community at large starts thinking about combos they can try instead of everyone just taking Lithe, WoO, We'll Make It and Off the Record, or whatever.

So I ask, would such a thing be good for the DBD experience? I'd certainly enjoy it more on Survivor, what does the DBD community at large think?

I would give SWF penalities to complete generators like (30 sec more) and same for exit gate andddd they shouldn't be able to pick add on. If this is too much only the penalities.

  • I would like to have Xeno in 2vs8, imagine the chaos with all the turret lmao.

  • Is slugging really a big problem? I play only survivor at it happens rarely.

  • I'm a survivor main and slugging is not a problem for me, in normal match basically never happen or like what 1 on 15? Not a problem.

  • @VantablackPharaoh91 said:

I agree, 150% Haste on Survivor period is too much. I say no higher than 125% Haste; 140% on Killer.

Staying in the gate without doing anything like healing, waving, scouting, etc should be punished with being Exposed and full Aura reveal you can't hide from with Distortion. Teabagging should be punished with inability to leave the round, measured as at least two rapid crouches or more in quick succession. Bam that is IT, there is no reason for you to EVER do this except grief.

    New Killer Perk: Last Laugh

Whenever a Survivor lingers in the Exit gate or camps the Hatch for 20/15/10 seconds, this perk activates. While active, Survivors may not open the Hatch, activate a Gate, or leave through an opened gate by any means for the next 60 seconds. Additional Survivors in the exit gate strengthen the effect by 10 seconds for a maximum of 100 seconds. While active, no Survivor that lingered in the gate or is not running/healing/walking for at least 5 seconds beforehand is able to leave the Trial until the the timer expires. Survivors are also Exposed and Downed Survivors crawl 100% slower during this time. If a Survivor should crouch more than 4/3/2 times in rapid succession, they will be instantly grabbed by the Entity and teleported to the furthest hook from any Exit Gate.

    >Teabagging should be punished with inability to leave the round, measured as at least two rapid crouches or more in quick succession.

    Lol, cope.

Force closing the game can be done immediately instead of waiting to be hooked and going through all the animations til death.

Ultimately since it's impossible for the game to tell the intent of the d/c, they all must be treated equally. Now BHVR just needs to remove hook suicides.

Yes but then i need to reopen with all the loading and is like what 1,30 min? Suicide on hook is more simple and fast imo.

Nobody will go to the struggle to hard close and open again or turn off the modem just to ditch a SM match when they can suicide on hook.

    >Now BHVR just needs to remove hook suicides.

    This will never happen.

Using the "Leave Match" button isn't the only way someone could quit out of a match. You can force close the program, you can manually turn off the router. Checking only the "leave match" button for penalty would solve nothing and would only cause people using alternatives ways to quit to avoid a penalty as we already see with the how common survivors suiciding on hook is.

Who would hard close the game or turn off the modem just for quit a game? Suicide on hook is much more faster and easy.

I think you are creating problem where it dosen't exist. Like i play on Xbox, by your logic i would turn off the console and then turn it on and then starting the game again just for quitting a game? No i would run to the killer and suicide on hook, much more faster and not boring.

penalities for connecting issue are frustrating and not excusable.

  • @Crowman said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3780338#Comment_3780338

The game can't determine that you disconnected due to internet issues. You turning off your router or your routing turning off due to a power outage is the exact same thing as far as code can tell.

The game can't determine intent and thus all d/cs must be treated the same.

Sorry, but i can't believe this. The game can't tell if I press start and select quit? Sound like a no-sense.

  • @Crowman said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3780254#Comment_3780254

DC penalties have to affect all forms of D/Cs, otherwise you just create a means to bypass the penalty like hook suicides currently do.

    What means?

How can someone have a internet issue on purpose just when he encounter a killer he don't like?

Penalities for connection issue are just lame and injust.

Played a game of 2v8 last night and this kate just got off a cage so the surivors decided to be toxic at me the other killer at end game tbagging and they were angry in game chat, was i really wrong for just getting out the kate? Cause i was going after one them but she decided to take a enduring hit so if she was going to do that i taken her out of the game, was i wrong off doing that? They were pretty angry like i dont give a hoot if they are just wondering if that was a bad move of me?

Honestly the thing the whole community love the most is complain about anything, just play how you want and have fun lol.

SWF doesn't really have much to do with this. You can be solo and abuse many of the loops on certain maps.

Yeah, but you need 4 to be completely sure to go to that map if i'm not wrong.

  • There are already to much punishiment in this game

Last month i had 2 week where i couldn't play for connection issue, I reached 48h two times. LMAO!

I paid the game and i can't acces it bc 1 out of 6 i was booted out. I OWN the game they can't not letting me acces it for connection issue. I'm not hacking, i'm not exploting. They can't but of course nobody will ever bring them to court for that lol.

  • @I_mean_yeah said:

I rage quit a lot if I'm playing a weaker killer and meet SWFS that sprint the hell out before i even get to the gen, knowing they're on comms and call out everything.

It's simply just not fun at all, you start chasing someone, instantly the other 3 survivors are hugging gens. I swear SWFS on comms are like borderline cheating

SWFS  are basically an exploit, to bad the devs balance the game around them

  • @Crowman said:

People keep making excuses for rage quitting and BHVR refuses to address it, so it's just going to keep getting worse until BHVR actually does something.

We already have penalties that don't even distinguish between connection issue and actually rege quits

  • @danielmaster87 said:

Stop with the blanket statement, "MMR bad" because y'all don't know what you're talking about. MMR in theory saves this game. Basing it off kills vs escapes only, and making it super loose to cut down on queue times (MMR BHVR edition) is what you're really having issues with. When MMR first came out, it was perfect. So what if queues were a minute or 2? You at least knew the skill level you were facing: your own. All the people wanting to go back to random matchmaking, yet claiming that they don't want the game unfair/unbalanced, are hypocrites.

Just make MMR the way it used to be, and base it off more than just kills and escapes, and it'll be perfect. I don't know why nobody's suggesting this as a solution. It's so obvious.

    >You at least knew the skill level you were facing: your own

Boring, this is not a competitive game.

You still can't do anything against worst kind of users, the one who takes four of offering as a SWF

Again, this is a problem only bc of survivor stacks.

Why punish solo q player for it?

  • @HexHuntressThighs said:

The problematic part of it is that it can either be garbage and not do anything. Or it can be insane and completely reset a team that was kicking your butt all game.

The problem then is not the perk but survivor stacks squad.

  • It already getting a nerf some months ago now the sprint is like 3 sec if i'm not wrong and if u are hooked you will not regain full health. It basically got worthless if u are solo Qing.

And it was nerfed bc of stacks of survivor that abused it, another time when solo Q survivor are getting penalities thanks to the dev that try to balance the game around stacks.

  • They would improve if they face someone better than them, I get that getting obliterated is not the higher point of multiplayer experience, but out of 10 matches how many would be like that? 1? maybe 2? The rest would be fun games .

When you reach a mid high level of skill Sbmm and mmr are the most boring thing ever, every match is the same and you need to create your own fun.

The most fun i ever had in multiplayer game was long ago where no game had any sbmm or mmr.

  • @Toystory3Monkey said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3779016#Comment_3779016

it removes the only actual difference between solo and swf gamemodes - ability to play with VC due to being in premade.

the rest is on players - they're free to coordinate to take strong items just like SWF, they're free to get good like SWF players eventually do.

i genuinely see no point in continuing this dialogue bc it's going in circles. if you play solo - deal with the fact you'll had bad teammates and anti team players. no amount of stupid balancing will aid that.

You fail to see my point, maybe is my english idk.

  • Indeed yes bc after, when they play with everybody else, the will not be different mmr but just random lobbies of player in my vision.

  • @Toystory3Monkey said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3778989#Comment_3778989

    guarantee and balance what?

you're playing the team based game with random matchmaking. i dont understand how do you expect this inherent flaw of random matchmaking to ever disappear.

you'll always have bad teammates, people who dont play to win, people who're bad at the game. that's normal, that's the nature of any team based game.

balancing the game around the idea that survivors are severely underperforming while killer is not is a ludicrous mindset to have because you're essentially asking to kill the game for any decently skilled people.

and punishing people for playing with friends is just as dumb and insane. you know what would happen if you'll penalize survivors for playing premades? they'll play solo q matchmaking and will try to get in the same lobby to bypass the unnecessary penalty.

I was saying that the introduction to voice chat to solo Q will not solve anything bc is not a rule, some match you will have 1 with mic some other maybe 3. It dosen't solve the problem of balancing  between solo Q and stacks.

Balancing the game around solo Q and killers!….killer eat solo Q rn bc the game is balanced around stacks of survivor vs killer. i don't see how a "skilled" player is touched by that.

Is not a punishiment lol ( punishiment is the nerf of adrenaline for solo Q) is just a feature to make the game right. The game is not build with 4 friend squad in mind but they take stacks as ruler to balance the game. This need to stop.

And lore wise sorry but made sense in a way, why the Entity should not give a penalities to 4 friends who affront the trial together? They are less scary then he eat less.

  • @Toystory3Monkey said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3778970#Comment_3778970

    weird take, but alright.

people dont have to have open chat to be able to benefit from it. and even having just one or two people doing basic coordination would be enough to mitigate most of the unfair disadvantage solo q players have.

But is not guaranteed how can you balance it?

My problem with stack is that the devs balance the game around them, just look at the last adrenaline nerf.

Instead the game should be balanced around solo Q and stack of survivor should have penalities.

  • @bluesidesoul said:

Is there a killer or survivor that you go absolutely feral for? Meg

I don't play killer but i love to face xeno

  • @Mandy said:

MMR has not changed, however queue times have slowly improved, meaning that matchmaking doesn't get widened so much so you're being matched with players more within the same MMR bracket.

Your MMR doesn't get affected by 2v8 so when you return to the main game, it won't have adjusted in anyway.

And as an fyi, kill rates are pretty balanced in 2v8 right now. (there's also not a survivor shortage)

Pls, when you will be giving us another 2vs8 time limited mode don't put the mmr in leave it has it is rn.

  • I always tbag and do troll move, it's just funny and i play to have fun. I really don't care lol, we are playing a videogame you should not get offended by a tbag

  • Punishing people who are actually exploit the game by doing things that are not possible to do it on the game itself, aka talking to eachother. What's the point of visual perk if the dev put discord squad in their equations? None.

Squad stack need to have penalities or the game will never be "balanced"

  • @Toystory3Monkey said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3778951#Comment_3778951

    nerfing SWF won't achieve anything.

solo q just needs functional voice chat or a gameplay where there is a functional voice chat and the game should then be balanced / designed around the assumption solo q / swfs are the same.

You will never have a full 4 people with open mic, is not 2009. They are probably in discord with their friend or they just don't want to socialize.

  • Is not bannable and whatever people have problem with t-bag or the killer having some fun humping you should stop with the videogames and start another hobby without social interaction.

  • @Peanits said:

In some cases, sacrificing a Survivor in a certain part of the map could create a hook deadzone where it was not possible to get to another hook in time. This is especially true when Survivors would intentionally run to those areas knowing the hook was permanently destroyed and that the Killer couldn't hook them if they go down there.

The end result is the Killer needing to leave the Survivor on the ground for several minutes waiting for them to slowly bleed out. This was not fun gameplay for anyone, so we've made hooks respawn after a while.

    The time is to little.

  • Huntress is fun to go against and easy to loop the only problem is the hitbox of hatchets.

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/423506/is-dbd-still-fun-for-you

I’m sure if you play only as killer you are. Survivors not so much.

Funny, because I had been a killer main since I started playing, and the last few months I had been playing almost exclusively survivor, as with the latest changes in perks and such, playing killer had become extremely stressful to play again.

Now, name one thing, one thing at all that benefit survs? You’ll get a prize! :)

You are 4. The moment survivors start playing as a team and coordinate a little so they benefit from the numeric advantage, there is little the killer can do unless he has a good build with the "correct" perks for him to gain some more time to do what he must.

    What have I won?

The problem is that the dev balance the game around stack of surivor, but this is just wrong bc the solo q experience should be their focus to balance the game.

3-4 stack should have penalities like 30 sec more to complete generators and such.

  • >mmr

I agree, the problem of 1vs 4 is mmr and sbmm. They make all matches repetitive.

  • I only play survivor and only in solo and i like it, btw every like 2-3 months i quit for like 1 month for boredom.

  • Killer i don't like playing against:

    Skull, Knight, Witch, Chuky
