Short matches mean more matches which actually equates to more blood points.
Especially with BBQ and puddings.
Yeah I'd love to see the math on that. Short matches mean going through the summary screen, waiting for a lobby again (if you're solo), waiting through the minute timer, waiting through the load screen. It's a lot of wasted time.
And not to mention (yet again) an unfun match, usually.

MAKE. WINDSTORM. BASE.
That or somehow fix his window deficiency.

Someone explain why allowing survivors to skip what should be the most difficult part of the game with a key is fine? Someone explain why iribelt is fine. Someone explain why DS Unbreakable is fine. Someone explain why spirit is fine or why object is fine. The answer is that none of them are. All these things INCLUDING moris, are ######### and awful. Yet for some reason the priority ends on nerfing discordance. Welcome to DBD, we all hate it here and nothing makes sense.
You listed, like, everything me and my friends complain about to eachother in this game on a dailybasis.
Great summary
-
Also, cage removal's do not give WGLF tokens. Pretty lame.
-
Otzdarva did an entire video about it. He's godly as Killer. If even HE hates OoO, maybe we should all take note.
-
Create two separate modes. Ranked and Unranked.
Unranked operates as public matches do now.
Ranked does not allow SWF or party chat.
Make ranks actually matter by rewarding special cosmetics/charms/something once every quarter or 6 months.
-
I agree with your opinion.
This game used to be fun.
Lately it's SO killer sided, you basically have to be in a SWF and be running OP perks to enjoy it at all. Like 90% of the perks are pointless now. Case in point, Dark Sense (i know it's never been top tier) but now the gen configs put 2 gens super close to eachother. It kinda ruins the whole point of Dark Sense even existing.
This game is catering to Killers hard lately. Super big dead zones. Open sight lines. Less pallets. Less places to hide. Closer hooks. OP killers. EGC.
Like, cmon devs. I get it. If nobody wants to play Killer, wait times skyrocket. That's bad. But you gotta admit you been leaning REALLY hard into overpowering Killers lately. It's seriously sucking the fun outta the game when SURV's have SUCH a tiny chance of surviving. Even chases are rarely fun anymore.
-
I agree. Killers have been super extra sweaty, campy, tunnel-y, and just generally mean tonight. Like they don't understand that short matches mean less BP. But I think it's because between SURV's using a bunch of BP streamers/cakes/petals, killers using their own BP offerings, BBQ&C, and the 2x event, they aren't bothered much by it. They're still making bank. Plus, the good players KNOW every 2x event is like this, so they're all playing Killer. And 2x attracts those infrequent players, so those of us interested in playing SURV tonight are getting sandbagged by potato players.
It's truly a super fecal-infused cocktail. Nights like this make me wonder why I even play DBD anymore.
-
All killers do is proxy camp.

This is why locker juking a Bubba is now a bad idea. His tantrum duration changes based on how many chainsaw charges he used, so you can't really "know the timing".
It's the lack of animation indication. That is the issue
-
Okay, I understand that there is already a possible window, but it's very vague.
Cannibal is already an obtusely powerful Killer. Does his one weakness have to be so labyrinthian?
-
@RizeAki said:
Or don’t locker hop against cannibal?
And why exactly is that frowned upon??? It's a legit tactic.
-
No, the problem is there's no indication of when it is safe.
-
I'll try to get a few. It's hard to tell which are that way without testing it in a real chase lol.
But the shack on the new graphics McMillan map was definitely one. Unsure what "version" of McMillan it was.
-
And...... ?
-
SWF's are teams of highly skilled players. Matchmaking is pretty messed up if it's putting rank 10's consistently against super pros
-
Yet AGAIN tonight, freddy after freddy after freddy. Ffs
-
My thoughts exactly.

- Avoid them. In general, if you are in a Lobby and all the players appear at the same time, it is usually a good indication they were in their own group room first. If you don't want to fight a SWF, leave the Lobby and start over.
- If you have a surplus of Red and Green Mori, bring one every time. If you end up fighting a SWF, use it. Drop it to 3v1 to try to reset the balance as quickly as possible. At that point you re just fighting not to lose a Pip or do whatever you can.
- SWF are often slightly (if not a lot) more altruistic than other groups because they are close friends in many cases. This means they will come out to help their buddies. If your Killer has Add-Ons or methods to get Insta-Down or fancy Mori, get one of them on a hook (or slug) and terminate with extreme prejudice anyone and everyone that comes to help.
- You have to take oppressive Perks that slow down the Gen Rush. You have to buy that time to kill some of them.
- Focus on that 3-Gen nearest the basement. A basement and three generators close to it in a defensible patrol is your best option. If the map is too big and I know I'm facing a SWF I just start getting my goalie situation set around the basement. Combine this with the other comments I said above.
- SWF tend to choose the Perks we all know all to well now. That means you should keep careful watch on the time, slug when possible, and invalidate these Perks by not getting pulled by them. Likewise, go for GRABS when they are unhooking rather than hits. This works particularly well in the basement.
- Do NOT feel guilty about camping, tunneling, slugging, or the Mori. Members of a SWF are using a MEGA-PERK which is outside the game and provides more info than any combination of Perks inside the game. It is a problem, but all we can do is adapt. That means you can't pretend to be a nice guy and avoid those things people have worked hard to shame you into thinking are the so-called toxic. You do what you have to do to put them away.
- Don't get frantic. If you start to feel impotent and overwhelmed, the situation will only get worse. If you know you are going to lose the game, try to learn from it. Get experimental. Earn the points you can to try and avoid losing a Pip (if you care about Rank) and just try to study how they work together. Learn how to spot who is the weakest link in a SWF. Even good ones, well-coordinated, have some Players that lead and are proactive and some that are less so. Knowing how to spot the best ones, help you in the future, so you know who to MORI first. Learning to understand who is the best, gives you better opportunities to cut the head off the snake.
- As with any game, know your maps. This only comes with time. They are going to coordinate and keep eyes on you. They are going to share this information. Intimate knowledge of the maps makes it better for you to cut corners, and hopefully fool one, so they give bad information to the others, and you have to be ready to take advantage.
- Be gracious in defeat. No Salt. Learn from the rough game and get better. There is no point in getting salty with them because HALF of them are Trolls who want it. They get a perverse thrill out of upsetting you which is why the did it in the first place, and HALF are just entirely focused on the win and don't care if you are salty or not. Do you see my point? No reason to destroy your own blood pressure and reputation over it. The creeps will be annoyed they didn't upset you. And the cold fish will respect you for being stoic or cool about it.
Eventually, this shall pass. The current situation is detrimental and everyone knows it on some level. Put your head down, do the best you can, learn what you can from it, and when it is dealt with, you will be even stronger.
All great advice.
using Make Your Choice is great too, as dude said, they usually play very save-y, MYC is a great way to punish it if you can get the unhooker in time.

If OP is talking game health/balance with Stridor Spirit, than why is that every other day a post about Spirit is being made? The better question is why is Spirit being played so much?
Because she's OP lol. *palms forehead*

Yet, nice try of twist of the OP's point.
He never asked to get "mindless looping", is your entitled mindset, anything that is against killers is "survivor trying to mindless looping".
I'll ask you, why some spirits (including myself) can win against top tier survivor without stridor? Spirit doesn't need to counter iron will cause you can hear footsteps and breathing a lot louder (if you use a audio app and some good headphones), you can see grass/corn moving, and crows flying when a survivor is close.
And oh yes, this game isn't supposed to be a 4v1, but a 1v1, I agree with you, but then killer mains complain about every survivor playing as swf on comms in red ranks, I wonder why, hmm....
Yeah, what you do using audio editing is also a huge problem, don't go congrats'ing yourself so quick.
I didn't mention it in my OG post but the audio editing is also some bs.
Do what thou wilt. We'll all know who won by "cheating" lol.

@gibblywibblywoo said:
Gonna blow your minds here. The reason Spirit is so incredibly dumb as a deign is because:
Without either Iron Will or Stridor in play she is overwhelmingly strong with little to no counterplay.
With Iron Will in play she becomes absolutely worthless thanks to bugged survivor footsteps/breathing just not playing sometimes
With both perks in play she is still overwhelmingly strong with little to no counter play... IF she has headphones. If not you'll only be finding Jane players.
A killers viability should not be decided by perks.

I mean stridors been in the game a lot longer than spirit, its like saying freddy is abusing pop cause he's avoiding the one counter to pop having to walk over to the gen.
But IW's description text is very misleading. Stridor doesn't mention this piercing of IW's usefulness either. Plainly it doesn't do what it says it does on the outside of the box. Get me?
Yes, your Freddy situation is comparable but not really. Pop works like it says it should.
Stridor and IW are both mislabeled, misdirectional, broken basically.
-
@RizeAki said:
Also stridor doesn’t override it iron will still works think of sound perks like a volume button if it’s decreased by 100 it’s at 0 if you add 50 to that it’s 50 etc
Well that's not what the explanation text describes. Very VERY misleading. The perk doesn't do what it says on the box. 0/5 stars
-
Man, I genuinely love seeing people say "Just use No Mither and Iron Will then".
Right. Sure. So, we should crazily disadvantage ourselves against every single killer just to cover the, somebody said, 1/5 chance it'll be Spirit?
Nobody is listening to my point. Spirit is o.p. WITHOUT stridor. So, the devs thought it would be cool? to design Stridor to hear through Iron Will?
Look at my other posts. I've pointed out her BS details before. She. Is. OP.
The devs push through subtle little fixes for Killers alllllllll the time. Trappers traps don't move at all now when you reset them now. Wraith's shimmer can no longer be seen further than 32m away. So on.
I know they're always working hard to make DBD better. We all appreciate it. Now it's Spirit's turn.
Fix her.

Fine then dont interact and be toxic, dont be upset when you get tunnelled for being toxic and for being a weak link in your team. Also dont be surprised if one of your survivors gets tired of you running away and then points you out, thats the best part.

Maybe if you helped your team that wouldn't happen. You do know when 3 ppl are on deathhook, there's one gen left and you've been hiding all game and haven't been hooked guess what? It's YOUR turn to take agro! So the WHOL team might get out not just u! It is a team game! When I'm survivor I will " accidentally " run the killer to you, and when I'm killer I will Mori u. I play both sides 50/50 and it's angering on both sides. I bet you are the same person that unhooks then immediately hides when the killer comes back hence getting that person downed again or at the least chased again. Once again it's a team game for survivors play like it

@Aneurysm said:
You're not helping the case for stealthy survivors by equating them with the blendette playstyle. I can evade the killer while doing objectives while wearing neon cosmetics. Playing as a black character with dark clothes, crouching in corners and bushes and being generally useless is brainless and you should be moried every match for doing so.
Yet again, don't assume a playstyle juat by cosmetic.

"Some of us get our kicks seeing just how hard we can fuNk with the Killer and waste their time entirely." - One of the reasons survivors get tunneled.
"It's a legitimate part of the game. Stop acting like it's not." - So is tunneling stealthy survivors.
Congratulations on making the case for Killers to tunnel survivors in your anti-tunnel post.
Right. Because pure intentful tunneling is something we all love to see. That's totally why there's like 8 perks to prevent tunneling. Right. Totally.
-
See. Everyone is saying the exact things.
Just because someone uses a cosmetic does not mean they play that certain way. Quit pre-judging.

Yeah, I can't imagine why killers might specifically go after the hiding survivors. I guess it's a unsolvable mystery!

Otzdvara stated in a recent video that red rank survivors IW was the 4th most popular perk. People run it JUST so they have a chance against spirit. I've been saying it for years. Spirit is OP.
-
Yeah all that would help immensely as well. 1 trap has never been enough lol. And having to walk to the map edge for a trap, it hurts my soul. But I don't really think it would reduce the art and skill of it, because right now it's so easy for them to re-set in a new position, or appear correct but be juuuuuust a millimeter off, etcetera. They're janky already, so enabling snap-to would in essence greatly reduce the jank.
-
The recent buffs were fantastic, but my above suggestion is still much needed.
-
I present to you Exhibit A and Exhibit B.
Sorry blurry, had to snap it quick.
STILL de-pipped. Super un-fun.
And btw, it was a campy Doc that made my two DC'ing teammates do it.
So why exactly should we have endured that bs? Hmm?
EDIT: Oh also forgot to mention. I got the Doc with a Head On in the basement, should have dropped my teammate, but nope. Didn't work. Fix. Your. Game. Please.
-
Oh look, another one sided match
Oh look, he's lag switching AND using some kinda basic attack exploit/hack.
I <3 this game so much anymore

BBQ and Ruin are OP overused
-
Whatever the Devs do, I sure hope it fixes this endless stream of games like this that I'm stuck in
-
Or how about saved Loadout slots?
3 builds you can instantly swap
Then we could also shorten pre-match lobby timer to 30 seconds
Easier building, faster matchups, everybody happy
-
That's exactly what I was hoping for, an elo type system. Pipping thresholds do help of course but playing with noobs is like starting with one leg.
-
Or maybe disable one add-on slot when rank differences are too far apart? Or limit to greens?
-
