well two choice, you ignore hag or try to learn hag, wich is a weird killer but with the other so i won't blame if you wanna skip here
Ima try her out its just I gag or feel so diagusted playing her since she gurgles and it really gives me goosebumps.

miced bag depend on the mission, my big grip with it is the mission have to be selected while in most of the other games in the market the mission don't need to be slected and be done at the same time
???
Umm can you explain it in more details I am not that highly intelligent.

Mostly fun. The grinding ones like hook 20 survivors, search 6 chests etc aren't particularly fun.
Yeah those are pretty generic and require you to invest more time than others. That is on thing I dislike about the archive is the time it takes and possibly the difficulty for some missions.

Nope flashlights are indeed bugged
I knew it but thanks for reassuring me good sir.

I personally think they are fun plus good rewards, for the most part. Meg and Ace aren't my mains, but for the Wraith's weapon and Tiki charm, I will get to level 70. However for the first tier of the rift.. I'm really not liking the Hex ones, since the one Hex challenge is to hit 10 survivors, may not be hard but knowing my luck it will get broken instantly. Same with the ruin challenge. Can't wait to see what Wraith's challenges will be. 😊
I am looking forward to my wraith games but hag. Oh man I better bring me a garbage bag for how much ima barf.
-
@GoodBoyKaru said:
It depends entirely on the challenge. I like when it makes me use different builds and playstyles (usually) like in Tome 2 the Protection Hits challenge made me use MoM a lot.
However the ######### ruin challenge this tier? No. Never again. I hated it.
I hate certain challenges like get egc hooks like how tf ima do that? There is ways but how many games ima run to get that off. Hell this archive I spent 5 games trying to get one blind from this archive, I was so frustrated until I realized there was something wrong with the flashlight animation or maybe I suck.

@GRT_Alkaline said:
I find that they can be both to be honest.. but for me personallly they do lean more to the fun side, because not only can some be challenging to complete some will make me use a killer that i may not be familar with or would ever play as and that gives the trials that extra bit of fun to maybe discover a new killer you enjoy playing as.
Case in point i never ever had any intention to play a Legion the last tome and i discovered that i really enjoy play as legion and that was a fun wee realization
Agreed, I hate playing hag but for this archive when I try it out hopefully my opinion changes. Only problem is ima have to get a barf bag beforehand.

This one in particular? Unfun because of the Hag challenges. I hate playing her and I hate facing her. Probably the worst designed killer in the game when it comes to fun factor IMO.
I agree with you this one in particular I am mostly doing survivors. I play both sides, but mostly killer and Hag is definitely one I would not touch mainly because I don't enjoy playing her even if its an archive and also just cause I gag a dozen when I do play her (her sound effects and her hand are just downright disgusting). I am not hating on anyone playing her rather just my opinion I would not play her myself. Probably going to bribe someone to play her lol.

@kcwolf1975 said:
It is like a double edged sword to me. I like having something extra to do, but it does make it more of a grind because of the time frame involved.
I will agree that excluding the rift benefits the archive is very time consuming. Although it is very rewarding if you do complete it.

Fun.
That about sums it up :)

@MrLimonka said:
It's a very fun mechanic imo. It makes you use different perks and change your playstyle a bit. Also gives you bonus bloodpoints. There are of course some quests that are absolutely horrendous but you can usually just leave them for last
Now this I agree with, the bloodpoints are mostly my reason as of now. There are more pros than cons in the archives.

None Taken. Sorry I couldn't be more help. Good luck!
Nah your good, but if you like you can give me some good tips on demogorgon since ima try him out soon.

If you run this build, I would only use the better TR reduction addon and stack it with higher movement speed while aiming or, better, with the exposed addon at 15m+ :P When you crouch around like a Blendette, you at least need insta downs. It can also scare the crap out of survivors when they get shot and get the exposed FX out of nowhere
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1491513#Comment_1491513
You forgot to add that the first guy needs to become the obsession with Nemesis (unless the first one isn't already the obsession), or the snowball does not start. Btw 4 of the same characters is not too bad as the obsession gives you an audio cue when you start chasing her.
@Psychobeastz you didn't ask for it, but on Wraith, the Bounty Hunter build works perfectly with the purple aura reading addon, especially because cloaked he is pretty fast. Also if you just want fun, bring double "Shadow Dance" addons and a Saloon offering. Don't chase people, just break walls XD to make it more effective, replace the green Shadow Dance with "The Serpent" to ultra speed kick pallets and be in chase instantly
Besides that, I would recommend the following after each harpoon down: don't reload, don't pickup, just slowly nod your head in the rhythm of his laughing after a successful hit. Looks pretty dope from survivor side XD
wow now this I gotta try out thanks sir.

I highly recommend running infectious fright on Oni to supplement his downing power. Since you seem to want to use the power to this fullest, this will help detect if there are easier one shot downs near your location and where they are coming from. I also recommend Nurse's Calling to detect people that are healing close to you. To fully use his power you need to make sure that people are still injured and leaving you blood. I would also throw on Blood Echo and Forced Penance to inflict broken on survivors. This will continue to have people blooding and not heal for a while. Downside of this build is that there is no slow down. Some perks to consider shuffling in and out are sloppy butcher and Thantaphobia. All of these perks play into the power Oni has and further augments his strength.
When it comes to Death Slinger, I would recommend a basic tracking perk on him such as whispers or BBQ and Chili. Pair this with monitor and abuse to cut down his terror radius and be able to surprise survivors when you shoot at them. I would throw in Save the Best for Last so you can get quick hits. The last one is up to you, but I would recommend a slow down perk if you are starting off. It takes a while to learn how to hit the shots. When you pick up the shots I would put on either Make Your Choice or Devour Hope. Death Slinger has the advantage to pull people into his hits giving you easy downs.
Seems like this is quite common no offense. I run this build almost every now and then and I have quite a blast doing it. I was just thinking of some meme build like slingers basement or oni status effects.

On mainly M1 killers, Deathslinger included, I like running what I call the “Bounty Hunter” build- Furtive Chase/Nemesis/Make Your Choice/Monitor&Abuse
Hook someone like normal, then the game begins.
Whoever unhooks the survivor will be Oblivious from Nemesis/Furtive Chase combo and also Exposed from Make Your Choice. You’ll see their aura for a short amount of time... It’s now your job to find and hook that specific survivor.
It’s a fun build unless you’re up against 4 of the same character but maybe that makes it more of a challenge?
It gives a good Jumpscare, puts the survivor on edge and really gives the feeling of a “Bounty Hunter”.
Great idea, I have tried something similiar but not make your choice it was play with your food. I am definitely trying this out, thanks for the suggestion sir.

@Happysmurf said:
Funnest for Oni is monitor abuse + distressing + infectous fright + BBQ. Use a small map offering. Use addons that prolong fury.
Thatll give you a TR of about 50m in a chase and you just go around zooming and clubbing people. Easy to find everyone as they keep screaming after you down someone.
Very fun build to do.
Wow that I never thought of I rarely ever use small maps unless I get it by chance but it maybe fun to try to use oni for thag build. Thanks sir and may you have a great day.

@NursesBootie said:
On Deathslinger i highly recommens double reload addons with STBFL. It's like huntress...yeah that's it lol.
Yeah I tried those add ons and for the perks I believe I was running stbfl, monitor and abuse, dark devotion(if I hit the obsession), and bitter murmur so I can see auras after gens. Works very well against certain groups and pretty entertaining to play.

I's not as hard as it seems. As long as you can keep the survivor's auras in the center od your screen, and you aren't too far away, you'll get them.
100% of the time it works 75% of the time.
Good pointer and thanks for replying. Sorry for the late reply myself I am not used to sticking around threads too often.

(you kind of need rotten fields for this to work, but any map that isn't too open can work)
Deathslinger: Barbecue & Chili, A Nurse's Calling, Monitor & Abuse, Save The Best For Last.
Find someone, hook them, look for people on generators with barbecue, remember where they are, and snipe them in the corn before they see or hear you. It's great and unexpected when it works out,
His terror radius is naturally smaller and quieter, and monitor & abuse will allow you to shoot people through the corn at the edge of his terror radius.
Iridescent Coin is good with this but if you do use it, I'd suggest also bringing in the grisly chain add-on.
Hmm this seems very challenging since I am going for very far shots. I like how you think sir thanks for the suggestion.

@katoptris said:
You might not kills but it still pretty fun especially demon dash with 0 terror radius.
Definitely looking forward to that sir

@katoptris said:
Been memeing on the saloon as the oni. I usually use brutal strength,monitor,fire up and dark devotion to scare people. His wall animation is my favorite which is the reason why i pick the saloon.
Hmm that sounds quite fun. I always run enduring and spirit fury on oni but never brutal so I might give that a go. In saloon I would say it may actually be good, and sneaking up on players with an oni is a helluva scare so I am with you on that. Thanks for the suggestion good sir and have a great day.

Well, I kinda don’t mind what people say about this build but man is it hilarious
On DeathSlinger, use Devour hope, Haunted Grounds, Retribution, and NoEd
I know how people are with NoeD but this build is so damn fun to use
I myself do not run noed on any killers whatsoever but for a fun build I might give it a go. Otherwise I think switching noed for make your choice or iron maiden for those locker nerds would be hilarious. Thanks for the suggestion sir and may you have a great day.

@Ghoste said:
For Deathslinger, you could stack the Terror Radius reduction add-ons with Monitor & Abuse and sneak up on people. It's not very good but it's fun.
I am not trying to win games, just looking for fun and I appreciate you stopping by and giving me some suggestions. I have tried monitor on him and it worked really well. I might do a whole oblivious or centered around his add ons that reduces it. Thanks for the suggestion and take care sir.

Oni:
Never use your power
Bring a small map offering, The game or preferrably hawkins.
Build : Distressing, Sloppy Butcher, Caularophobia, Thanatophobia
Addons: Renjiro's Bloody glove, any blood orb increase addon (Splintered Hull)
Basically this is the godlike anti-heal + built-in tracking oni. You'll love it.
I have seen a few streams of it, me personally I want to use his power but I will definitely do this for sure. Thanks for the suggestion good sir.

Recently started running Jumpscare Slinger the other day to great effect.
M&A, Deathbound, Tinkerer, and Dark Devotion.
Had quite a few Survivors telling me it was the first time in a while they've legit screamed and had a good time in the game.
Thanks for that build suggestion. I don't have all the perks on him yet, but I will definitely try this I appreciate it sir.

Who knew that posting a meme would lead to such serious overheated conversations. Job well done sir you have ignited the soul of passionate dead by daylight players :)

I personally think he is good right now but probably a few adjustments such as his gun. He is very fun to play, but in terms of competitive he is not quite adequate. I have been pulled by him several times and a survivor somehow interferes with the interaction, yeah it makes sense but it means that you get another life instead of being sacked. I think they need to remove the deep wound and just give them a broken status effect when being hit by it for a certain duration of course along with the melee hit when your health is complete. Otherwise if injured you obviously go to the death state. If not this idea since it might be too much or too little then I assume give him the ability to open lockers with the gun (jk lol worth a try). The maps are also a factor that can hinder or boost his game style but eh that is mostly every killer problem. Although I rather wait than jump to conclusions its still the ptb and from the streamers I am seeing they are quite enjoying it more than hating it. I do see your problem however in terms of comparing the killer, but for now lets just wait and test things out.

I personally agree if I am playing half the roster or mostly trapper of course in general your officially getting face camped. I am pretty sure anybody who plays trapper and have a person with triple o would do the same its just common sense. No offense to the survivors I have been on the receiving ends myself. Cough cough (random perk wheel) :)
