I play the same way for killer only. For me the frame rate seems the same but certain interactions have been very laggy like the skill checks during the wiggle when the killer takes you to the hook. The need in the skill check gauge used to immediately bounce back every time you pressed the button/key during the skill check. Now it lingers before the bounce back and I even get 2 skill checks when I am hooked. I had a match as Dredge to do a daily I had where actions like kicking the gens, hooking, teleporting, and maybe some others were laggy. I had to press the button several times to perform the actions whereas before the 6.4.0 update, that was never an issue.
I think the problem is withe the M2 button and the button to use your secondary ability... Basically you can move well but any interaction or ability of the killer is slowed down having to press the key many times to make it respond

I really enjoyed playing with Nemesis, but now it's impossible, when you press M2 to charge his whip, 50% of the time it doesn't work.
It is as if there is a conflict when you move with the joystick, if you are standing still it works, but when you walk it conflicts with the mouse. Very similar to the problem we had for more than a year until they solved it, which leads me to think that we will be another year without being able to play well.
It's a sad day for me and all the players that use this.
REMEMBER THAT THERE ARE MANY PEOPLE WHO, DUE TO DIFFERENT DISABILITIES, CANNOT PLAY OTHERWISE.

Incredible, just when you thought that some compatibility problem with joystick and mouse would never happen again, well here it is. Unplayable to play both at the same time since the new update

I've found a solution. Go to your Steam library, right click on Dead by Daylight, go to Manage>Controller configuration, at the bottom left click Browse Configs, click on Templates, switch from Gamepad to Keyboard (WASD) and mouse. You can rebind other buttons as you see fit.
In fact Ryuk is right, you can never move the same by remapping a joystick, in this way you only move in 8 directions and with the joystick itself, your movement is in 16 directions, do you not notice it when you remap your keys by the joystick?

Someone who has answered if they are going to solve the problem?
-
Same Problem here
-
Apparently they are not aware of how important it is for many people to fix this bug, otherwise they would not have been with the bug for half a year. I hope they fix it soon, but I've been saying this for 6 months so...
-
I also think the problem is in The Trickster.
I'm already so tired of sending reports and having them answer me like they don't know what I'm talking about, asking me for tests or videos, when I send them too many.

Yes they messed it up even worse this time. I now get about 7 fps whenever I try to play. Please fix this BHVR. I really want to play this game and have fun again but it's literally impossible for a lot of us :(
In 5 months they can not solve an error, and what is worse that they reported it as solved when it was not, and when they did not say anything it was solved, and then to break it again .. it is really illogical. And for more, if you send them a report, they answer you as they do not know anything about the problem, asking you for tests or videos over and over again.

Patch 5.1.1
They ######### it up again! I can´t believe it...
clearly the error is in The Trickster, because every time they touch him it fixes or breaks
-
Has anyone checked if it has been fixed in the new update?

They asked me to send a video of this FPS issue, a copy of my logs and DirectX Diagnostic Information tool. So they are analyzing the files.
We all send videos to them, I write again to know something about the problem and they answer me like... "oh really? send me a video to see the bug"
- I have already sent you a video and you have answered that they were going to solve it, do you really answer me as if you don't know what I'm talking about?
The truth is that I no longer know what to think about this bug

Still broken in 5.0.0

Sadly :(

Maybe we have a fix for this bug in the next update?

Something new?

Is this really still not fixed yet?
We still waiting... =(

It does not work for me either. I can't believe that again they announce that they fixed the problem and it is still wrong. really?
-
Same here, I have written to them and they replied that it was fixed since patch 4.7.0 but obviously it is not... so i don't know what to think.

I have found a solution that is now my preferred method by far. I don't need this bug fixed anymore.
1: Download JoytoKey (I included it in the zip, but you can go to the site https://joytokey.net/en/download
2: Open the config file (Open With - Choose Another App - Select the JoyToKey.exe in the folder)
3: You can use any controller that's not Xinput (the game detects x-input now so it'll just cause this bug again)
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/M4MFE6MWO55W/joytokey-en.zip
Which means no Xbox controllers, everything else goes as long as it's a standard gamepad or directinput gamepad.
That's not a definite solution, it's the same with the app Xpadder, you can mapping your keys with joystick pero just can get a movement in 8 diferent directions and no a 360° like a joystick. Yes it can help you a little bit to play decently, but you won't get the same move as before.

I confirm this issue is NOT fixed in 4.7.1 as well. Trying to use mouse as the right stick with Steam Controller results in massive frame drops. Strangely it may work fine in the tutorial, but not in the actual game.
I was waiting for the update in the hope that they fix it and I find that everything remains the same. Disappointing

The recent Patchnote 4.7.0 says:
"Fixed an issue where performance drops could happen when having a gamepad plugged while using a keyboard and mouse."
But sadly it's still bugged. When you play in a match and use the Joystick of a Gamepad + the Mouse for the Camera simultaneously the Framerate drops to 20 FPS.
This Issue is less common in the "How to play Survivor" or "How to play Killer"-Testroom than in Public Matches. Don't know why maybe because there are less Objects or no other Players.
It's not possible to play with Gamepad and Mouse simultaneously anymore at the moment cause of the huge Framedrops.
Same problem here.. waiting forever a solution...

If we wait until the devs have found a solution, DBD VR will have been released also ;-) So i tried to solve the Issue by myself.
Im emulating my right Stick with my mouse now. ^^
U can bind this with the tool reWASD. There are other free tools, which are promise to doing the same, but i couldnt get it working. So i came back to this "pay-app".
reWASD has a two weeks trialtime, so u can figure out if it works for you...
How you configure it with this program?
I try to remap the right stick in joystick so this work like a mouse movement but in game the issue persist couse it detect the mouse movement anyway and the lost FPS continues.
I have up to now mapped the joystick movement to the WASD keys with another simple program, but the result of this is a rough movement.
