Well, as i am aware if there is a low number of people with a similar mmr to you and since there is a new killer in town they will be less matches avalaible then they have to fill with potatoes. it could also be that the low grade players are friends of other people in the lobby so they average mmr is used for making a lobby.
Most of my lobbies have been golds with silver/bronce players and some iris here and there and you can really tell them apart before knowing wich grade they have, i'm having quite some fun since most of the rituals the game has been giving me are from killers i don't use much so i can do them and even have a chance to win the matches.
-
i have played like 8 matches as killer since they added SBMM and i have seen quite some gold and even iri rank survivors mixed with bronce and silver, most of the matches have been people that has an idea of what they are doing plus some potatoes and 3K with some people DC and me giving the hatch to the last on on those cases. The only problem i have seen is th long queue times for playing killer, but that could be thanks to the pinhead release.
-
For what i have heard there is quite some long time for qeue up as a killer, so maybe for that reasson you have been facing some newbie killers.
On the survivors case maybe there wasn't a lot of other survivors with a similar mmr to you doing solo qeue so they have to fill up with low mmr people.
I'm not defending the system, just trying to think in a possible reason for what happened to you.

Oooh i see, thanks good man

We've not confirmed the exact date of the Chapter release, however, if it happens prior to the 13th of the month, you will be given the equivalent of your current Rank so if you're Rank 20, you'll be Ash, Rank 1 = Iri (for example). Which is the same as it was in the PTB.
Then on the 13th of the month, everyone will be sent back to the lowest Grade and you'll receive a reward for the highest Grade you achieved in the previous season.
*it's going to take me a while to get used to saying Grade instead of Rank!*
It's always going to be rewards based on the highest rank/grade you achieve during the month or it will then be based on your current grade at the end of the month?

i wouldn´t say that they are harder to play on console, i would say that playing them in PC is easier.
Aiming with deathslinger and huntress is far more easier with mouse that a joystick, also as many say, you can change things like DPI, wich is something i do whenever i play bligth (from 2400 to 7200) just to make life simple.
-
for what i saw, with nemesis you gain extra BP by infecting survivors, for hits with your tentacle, for killing the zombies and for the zombies hitting the survivors, so if they use the vaccines during the trial you are going to get more BP because you are going to infect them again, all of this plus the BP you gain for chassing, breaking stuff, etc.
-
each killer is awarded BP for different reasons during the trial, bligth gains BP just by using his rushes even if you don´t hit somebody just to give an example
-
i know the game and RPD are down
-
Dude, is an red add-on, it has to be good to justified the 7000 bp cost, the one that shows the auras when you are cloaked is way more broken that the silent bell in my opinion.
-
The thing is there are a lot of messed up people on rule 34 so no matter what kind of female killer they came up with there is going to be people that makes it his/her waifu.
-
If you like playing killer with the discount i would say that is worth, demo is kinda of a good killer.
Survivor perks will become general so if you don´t care about demo and the 2 skin for survivors that it comes with then is not worthy.
-
There is a good reason why despite having an expose effect clown is kind of the definition of low tier killer these days.
-
As i once say to my friends, when you see the spotlights of dbd you have no idea what the status effects are, and when you start playing you also have no idea.
And now i have try to guess what a win is and at the end i have no idea, killers at best can get a brutal killer with 0k and also got it if they speedrun a 4k so there is really not a big way to figure it out.
-
Based in how many games are like 5 to 6 minutes playing oni is quite difficult due to his slow early game, obviusly there are oni mains out there that can make incredible preassure from early to late game.

When was is supposed to be disabled? I know I played it 2 days ago and I didn't really play yesterday.
I think it was today, because i played in rpd yesterday
-
If SBMM was on then that would mean that despite being rank 9 you have the same skill as this 4 gentlemen here (wich could be a good thing or a bad one)
-
As many say, getting things based on how well you play or how many matches you win (despite the fact no ones knows what is a win in this game) is going to make people become sweaty because of the rewards, especially if they put something extra nice as a reward.
I am not saying that everyone will become sweaty, but a good chunk of the playerbase will.
But i have to give a point to this in the sense that if they give for example an X amount of blood points based on the color (or whatever thing they ended up including like gold, silver, etc.) that you are at the end of the month it could help to sort of stop the grind this game has to level up stuff.
-
@sulaiman said:
I dont get the grind argument, can someone explain it to me?
To me, as a survivor there is no grind, because perks make your life easier, but are not needed, and items make it better, but are also not needed.
Certain killer need certain perks, true, but once you got them, wheres the grind?
And before you tell me you have to grind for ultra-rare addons: they are ultra-rare for a reason, they are not meant to be in every game. So what exactly is that point?
Well, in the case of obtaining a teachable perk you have to level up the character to level 30, then level him up until you get the teachable perk and then go into the character you want that perk to level him up until you manage to unlock it and level it up.
The problem comes mostly because in the averege match you can get 32 BP if you play incredibly well (not counting offers). Wich translates into maybe 4 to 5 purchases in the bloodweb, and that is not going to always happen, most of the time you will get like 20k and if the game is just genrush maybe 15k or less.
And that is not counting the rng it comes from the things you can get from the bloodweb and the bad perks that keep appearing over and over.

They didn't yet. It goes live on a permanent basis with the Pinhead DLC's patch.
Thanks for the answer pal

That is the main thing about PVP games in general, especially when the game is popular and filled with 2 brain cell toxic people. That's the main reason i dropped LoL and with my homies began to look for chill coop games, like payday 2 or minecraft.
Playing singleplayer games is also a really good option if you don't have friends who play some coop pve games or if there are solo games that you want to play.

just to ask, when did they put sbmn on?

I know why a lot of people hate Raccoon City and I understand it's a big map indoor map but, it's really not that bad once you know the layout.
There are plenty of god pallets on this map for Survivors and a couple of nice big loops like the library upstairs or one of the offices near the center of the map as with another god pallet. If you're having trouble finding these loops because you're lost run Windows since you'll know where every vault and pallet is as I know some Survivors can get very confused on this map. Can't find gens well there's maps, Deja vu, and a couple other perks that I can't remember the names cause I never use them.
The Stealth Killers are very strong on this map as there are many areas to sneak attack Survivors maybe get a gen grab as well. For the other Killers it could go either way Nurse will be a hard one as she is on a couple of the other indoor maps tricky. Trickster though is surprisingly actually very good on this map as it's very easy to hit people with the daggers in the long hallways though I don't think Huntress and Deathslinger have as easy as a time as Trickster.
I don't think this'll change many peoples mind about this map but, to me I enjoy this map for the challenge it brings for both sides.
In my opinion RPD is a good idea badly executed, there are some rooms that are dead ends and for how big the second floor is the ways to get up are way to apart of each other (they are way to near the left or rigth of the map and in the center) that trying to patrol gens is loosing a lot of time. And i can imagine survivors have the same problems with try to repair the gens on the second floor and tty to navigate it.

Killer role has been taken far too seriously. 4K is considered a "win". When the game really should strive for a 2 and 2 balance. Meaning that it should be difficult to pull a 4K but, with the meta makes it possible to 4k consistently and, Youtube taught them, that's a win.
I can live with only getting 1k on a match, but at the end sometimes even getting 1k will gave you an entity disspleased (spirit's rancor or myers's tombstone).
But i have seen people getting the 4k in like 3/4 minutes and get an brutal killer, so it seems (in my opinion) that how the game rewards you after a match is badly design so people will always tryhard to get the 4k.

Am I the only one getting bored of corrupt, ruin & undying ?
ever single game it’s the same stuff ZzzzZzzz which YouTube or streamer put this out and now everyone and there nan is running it
i would like to say thank you you’ve just made the game even more of a snore fest
It's boring, but you have to learn to live with it because at the end of the day is a competitive game with a ranked system, and like 80% of the playerbase wants to win and bring perks the most meta combination of perks instead of having fun.

Add other objectives to the game
Add other game modes with completly différent objectives, and not à "casual/ranked" queues modes
Imagine something where survivors gotta collect some orbs/totems/relics/plants from the entity and bring it to à designed place while the killer gotta stop them
And there are so many possibilities
The new objective idea sounds good on paper and i think it could help, but in my opinion 2 bad things could happen.
1) no one will want to play thoose games (when i used to play black ops II you can spent like 15 minutes looking for something that wasn't a deathmatch game) and the time for a match will be horrible.
2) sweaties will go there and ruin everyone else experience and force everyone back to the regular mode.
-
The thing is that, with license characters they are quite limited in what they can do whit them (powerwise).
I played pinhead like 3 times during the ptb (mostly due to the long queues to find a match). Animation wise is great, but in terms of power he is really weak, but as i say it was the ptb so it could change.
On the other hand, with original killers i think the problem is thay the actual "meta" is very gen control based, so any idea of a killer that dosn't revolve about having map pressure and control will suck.
And if the killer has it most likely it will be kind of a nurse 2, spirit 2, etc in terms of gameplay, wich will be also boring at the end.
-
i do it on two cases.
1) is the last survivor i hooked on the match and he was t-bagging, flash clicking or every other toxic attitude survs tend to use because i usually bring BP offers instead of moris so is to closest to kill them by myself i can get.
2) Is and Elodie.
-
In my opinion there is not a way to exactly balance the game or to make it fresh. If they change something eventually people will find something else to exploit. If they add new game modes (like casual/non ranked matches) the sweaties will go there to be sweaty and annoy people who want to practice with a killer or get some bloodpoints (i got generushed in the ptb while playing with pinhead).
-
When i started to play i got DS almost every time, not beacuse i was exactly looking for the recent unhooked survivor but because sometimes you just where patroling gens and come across with him, and since it was an easy target i just went for it.
With time the only way now i got DS is when the gates are open and i have to try to get them down.
If i suspect someone has it i just down him and let him in the ground to buy some extra time, sometimes they manage to heal him and everything goes on and other times the timer pass and i can just walk and pick the surv for a hook.
I don't know if it is broken per se, but sometimes it kinda get frustating when you try to secure someone that you down near the exit just to get DS and he just ran away. Maybe they can reduce the duration to use it while the gates are open or if you get downed near the exit (rigth after the gates) you can simply can't use it, but to be honest i think that would be to much.
-
If you know what you are doing nurse will have a decent chanse against SWF wich also know what they are doing.
Spirit (in my opinion) has a easier learning curve than nurse, but as many people say, looping with her can be difficult because you have to loss some second to enter in the spirit realm and then walk and try to outplay the survivor, with nurse you simple tp over the wall and try to hit him.
The only thing in my opinion spirit has over nurse is the fun of standing still on a loop and see some survivors walk to you for an easy hit (wich don´t happens usually but i find really funny when it happens).
-
Yeah, i'm consistenly bad with it xd.
But to be honest i just have played like 5 games with it and now i just get decent perks so i just need quite some practice.

Hey all!
Lately I've noticed, survivors have been insanely good lately (I teeter around ranks 1 -4, huntress main) and holy cow this last week and a half to two weeks, these survivors have become insanely good with things. I had a game where I kid you not, I landed about 80%+ of my hatchet, and still wasn't able to kill even 2 people, and gens were done within 6 minutes at best. Chases didn't last longer than 30 seconds most times. Yet gens just got destroyed. And then for the rest of the week most games have been like that. I've never seen so many good survivors till this last 2 weeks.
I guess just a PSA to say, you guys are doing insane.
yeah, i started playing something like a month ago (like 93 hrs in total) and the last saturday i reached rank 3, then i tried to do the daily quests and get in a loosing streak all the way back to rank 7, mostly thanks to genrushing, but in others manage to get something like 2 to 4 hooks (no kills). With most games being in the maps that every killer loves and with survs using bloodpoints offers only to genrush.
