  • Played one match on ptb and was okeish, the main problem was the hitboxes, i never had hitbox problems per se, except the ones where you grab them and he just release them. Overall his power is lackluster, ok for mobility but not at impresive levels, on chase is also okeish until you realize that it has 0 looping and vaulting is not even worth it on chase where is assumed you are going to use it

Honestly might just join them. Wesker is so hilariously overtuned, he feels like a nurse with upside. Just gonna not play for a week until hopefully the craze dies down and it's only the sweats playing him, then I can just insta-conceed every Wesker.

    Couldn't have said it better myself lol, can't believe they'd release another S Tier killer with the state of solo queue and survivor in general at the minute after all the buffs they got. Might as well make the Bloodpoints bonus for survivor permanently +100% then again it already will be ;-;

April 1st was like 4 months ago, wesker is nowhere near S tier material, barely mid A tier, clunky hitboxes, his power works best on open spaces if you manage to hit somebody or hit something while charging and in loops is pure trash and lets not talk about the so hyped pallet/window jump wich is almost useless in every scenerio except running vault jumping perks

  • Wesker is just the new killer, people still have problems against him, everyone scream at heavens when artist came out and she is just an A tier killer nobody uses. Wesker is not ptb clunky but clunky nonetheless, survivors will dc/suicide on hook against any inconvenience.

  • Competent swf>>>>chill swf/killer>>>>>>>>>>solo q

  • Because that would be a really logical and reasonable idea to do

  • Since the patch i've played a few killer games (about 30) and yesteday y played like 7 survivor games for the archives, maybe my experience may not be the best since i only have almost 300 hrs

As killer i have seen few dcs, like 2 but the survivors dc at the start. I usually play blight and run pure aura/chase perks, despite that most of the matches are either 3/4k at 4 gens because survivors killed themselfs on hook or stop trying or 1 to 2k barely at end game collapse with some games finish with 0k or 3ks at 2 to 1 gens. I've played other killers and usually run only 1 gen regress perk and usally end in a 3k or 0k.

Survivor experience is fresh so i can recall my experience in detail.

1st game: huntress on grim pantry

Huntress camped basement at 4 gens with 2 people hooked, one killed himself on hook and the other died because i couldnt save him. We died at 1 gen remeaning.

2nd game: slinger at thompson house

Diednfirst because i suck at survivor but manage to make enough time for the rest to finish the last game. Slinger facecamped one survivor at endgame but they team managed to escape.

    3rd game: nurse on campbell

Nurse tunneled a steve at 5 gens, then juggle us out, only one teammate managed to escape on the hatch.

    4th game: blight on midwich.

Blight managed to do 3 hooks and devour triggered, so we stop everything at 4 gens to cleanse it. I sacrificed myself to tank for the other 2 survivors with 0 hooks at 2 gens but leave because i was doing archives so no idea what happened later.

    5th game: legion on ormond

The legion was running thana/plaything pentimento and ruin and the red addon that broke survivors after the deepwound. We died at 3 gens but the team stop trying there.

6th game: twins (yeah, twins) on mcmillan tower (the big one).

One survivor dc at the start of the game, the other 2 kill themselves on hook and the twins had mercy and gave me hatch.

7th game: nemi on rotten fields

A survivor suicide on hook at 4 gens when i was going to save him but nemi found me. Another died cause 3rd hook and the last one kill hinself on hook (no idea if it was for angry or to give me hatch) but it spawned on nemi so i had a close escape by the door.

So yeah, i have seen the standard of the experience on this patch, survivors dont trying, thana legion, dcs, camping, tunneling and even one of the 2 twins players that exist.

  • To be honest i think the endurance part is ok since you are after all tanking a hit, however the aura part is where the perk not only becomes kicking a dead horse, but also burning it and nuking it.

  • The fact that well known hackers exists in the community plus that you need video evidence to appeal a ban on a hacker because of course everyone is always recording every match they play gives you an idea of the current hacker situation in the game.

  • I would personally go for the idea of periodicall increased gen speed if the killer is nearby a hook without any survivors nearby but the hooked survivor would be left to die on hook.

The idea of the stopped timer seems fair but as people say, they could let you on hook on purpose so you are there like a charm on the hook until ypur teammates try to save you and sucxed or die in the process.

  • I havent played a lot of killer lately so my opinion may not be the best, but so far the matches i have been are 5 gens stomps or close 1k at end game with very few in between experiences, slightly long killer queues, and on content creators some camping/tunneling.

I would say that i found the ds nerf kind of excesive, since mi main problem was the almost secured escape at the end game, and that was one of the reasons of the increase in tunneling.

About camping i dont know if the gen time is directly a problem, but the weird increase of bad solo q survivors all around not going to gens, since camping already existed.

  • @MommyHunktress said:

is it gone? i havent been able to do the hug tech without hitting the wall i try it on anymore? and now i cant use his ability constantly like before so it makes him harder to play and more fair, which is good but i wanna know if i can still do it or not?

The poor map collision hasn't anything to do with hugh tech, so if your real question is "did bhvr fixed the bad map collision" the answer is no.

  • So, if you have played 24 hours a day for the 9 days the patch is live, is a total of 216 hrs, if we average...... 7 minutes game and 30k bp just to say numbers, in this time he would have earned 55.542.857 bp.

So basically you would have to play the game for like 23 days, 24 hrs a day to be able to reach prestige 100

  • Well, for my completely unprofessional view the tp on killers, most of them are somewhat counterable, dredge tp needs a locker wich you can lock or a tv you can turn off with sadako, freddy is a special case but he also suffers 2 problems that the other tp killers have that are somewhat related, bad on split gens and low chase potential.

For example if you play freddy and you tp you chase a survivor, another one minimun is on a different gen, and freddy have a long cd for his tp so or you overstay on the chase because the other point is you are relatively bad at finishing chases quick or you have to return walking to a gen to start pressuring again and the cicle goes on.

As a said, if your team is somewhat coordinated or tries to do so on solo q, split push happens and the killer problems to snowball from pressure a gen, to chase, to hook and reduce the pressure. One of the reasons of why nurse is the best killer in the game is cause she can move around the map and do this snowball pressure thing.

So in conclusion, the tp is fine if your team is somewhat competent but if you experience the average solo Q games, you are going to have these kind of problems

  • It's finally time for another ptb bingo

  • @EntitySpawn said:

I wonder why you still get bad survivors?

Totally cant be because kills and escapes is a bad skill indecator right?

What are you talking about, of course the one basement bubba that facecamped and managed to get 1k is more skilled that the one blight player who got everyone on deathhook but didn't kill anyone

  • @Zachcjjj said:

bro its not a comp game every game or even close ive played in scrims with good teams and its not even close to pubs you can play any killer and win easily yeah maybe blight spirit and nurse are easier to win with but every killer is viable

Of course is not a comp game, in a comp game they limit you to run only 1 of each item per team and no perks repeated in the same team, meanwhile you can play bingo with dh, ds, bt and ub/iw on every single pub game you play

  • I think the main problem with mmr, or at least, the way the devs refer to it during the q&a, is that it only revolves around a parameter that by itself doesn't necessary show any skill, escapes and kills.

Obviusly there is a certain skill factor behind how many times you can escape a trial and how many kills you can make in the limited time killers have. The problem comes when you compare mmr with the other parameters the game adds into the game, when te one blendette that didn't do anything gets more mmr than the one juicer survivor who was lef behind after the last gen pop or the one basement bubba who had 1 hooj and camped it for the kill vs any killee who manage to put every survivor in deathhook and didn't got any kill.

  • 0dVNyc0h.jpg

if you commit to a chase you basically have no pressure and if you ditch the chase you also have no pressure.

I feel like that's one of the issues with all these "buffs" in general. Buffing a useless perk, to a bit less useless, but still not good enough to compete with any other perk that is actually worth running.

Buffing the perk and nerf it at the same time, perfectly balanced, as killer perks should be

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2730138#Comment_2730138

Fully agree and can accept that concept but still, it is a pvp game and to not expect the other side to also play nice is just going into it wrong. A casual game mode could help but let's be honest the toxic players would just play that too lol

Yeah, the moment a game is pvp instantly a toxic comunity of people with 8 year old mentality spawn, luckily since i play in latam mostly the time i got trashtalked is in portuguese so i don't understand anything (or at least i think they are trashtalking).

  • @Lochnload_exe said:

Legitimately confused why people complain about playing killer, and then try to play fair and nice. It is pretty blatant and obvious now that when killer plays to win and plays good, they can win just as much as survivor.

If you are so mad at the game being survivor sided, then play better and meaner lol. Killer isn't impossible, hell I don't even think the game is survivor sided anymore, a year ago I would've said for sure it but now, killer has just as much strong and mean stuff that can be used as survivor that this game is more sided to the side that brings stronger stuff.

Are you mad that the game is survivor sided and you want the game balanced? Or do you just want to win easier?

Usually because a lot killer players play to have fun and playing full mean killer isn't the idea of fun for them, wich to be honest is the main idea of a game.

  • @EntitySpawn said:

First patch had some good things in, admittedly it was quite focused on newer players and survivors quality of life but that's fine they are good changes.

But why on earth are we nerfing some basic killer addons? No the addons weren't strong at all you probably just seen them used most and thought OP when it's usually the opposite... most other addons are useless which is why the others are used.

And really coupe was too strong? A perk which gets 5uses at most and can be dodged via perks or pallets etc. But power struggle at 25% with unlimited uses isnt?

what are we balancing this stuff on? It's nice to see some perks get looked at (wakeup, dead mans etc.) Which are great but I dont get some of the unneeded nerfs?

Who complained about the twins addons being OP? Who the hell even sees the twins????

To be honest i'm surprised that they have data to backup (or i think they have) to justify the twins nerf since you have more chances to be killed by a cow than to go against them in a match.

  • Well, the perk buffs are kind of well received, but perks aren't the full killer experience, they are killers like legion that are on an bad spot and thank good now i can get a 4 man escape but hey, at least i can get gearhead info with feral frenzy.

  • @SunsetSherbet said:

I was told I shouldn't complain because there would assuredly be good stuff for killers in this but apparently I see nothing but survivor perk buffs, nerfs to my main for literally no reason as none is given, Bubba masks gone with no meaningful compensation given, and no COH nerf or mention. What a joke. But I am sure next patch I will again be told to "wait and see" lmao

The wait and see is refered to survivor players.

  • I know 2 really good ways to have fun as killer.

    1) Stop playing killer and go to play survivor with friends (solo is basically killer but with a chance of 3 clowns with you).

    2) Stop playing the game and go do something more fun.

    Warned-

    Teachable The Coordinator Perk

When a survivor destroys a totem, a loud noise notification on that totem and the survivor will suffer from the Exposed and Oblivious status effect for 60/90/120 seconds

    Jailed-

    Teachable The Coordinator Perk

When a generator is completed, whichever survivor contributed the most to completing generators suffers from the Incapacitated status effect until another generator is completed

    Hex: Banned-

    Teachable The Coordinator Perk

When you hit a survivor, they will suffer from the Broken status effect until the Hex is removed

    Power: Supernatrual Sense:

When a survivor is within a 15 meter radius of a generator, their Aura is revealed to you, you can than press the active ability button to block the generator, if a survivor is working on the generator when you press active ability a sound will play, and in 5 seconds, you will teleport to the generator, and all survivors working on it will suffer from the warned, than jailed, than Banned status effect, if they let their status get to high, they suffer from Incapacitated and Exposed, effectively making them worthless.

There, my [BAD WORD] post of a killer power

I read all of that with the dbd spotlight guy voice, hope he is doing well.

Which in return creates more killers that don´t bother anymore.

    A viscious cicle.

Or make killers switch to survivor and making more queue time for survivors

  • @MrDardon said:

I agree that DH needs a nerf, it's overpowered if used right.

Comparing it with Killer is a bad idea though.

Also, I always find it funny how threads like these turn into a Mortal Kombat: Survivor vs Killer everytime.

It's because how the poor survivor players with the copy paste ds,iw,bt and dh build are supposed to play the game without dying in 20 seconds of chase (just like me playing survivor).

Now being reallistic is mostly because both sides are on the mindset (most of the time) that X perk/addon is/isn't broken under their convenience.

You'll eventually run out of pallets, you can't drop pallets for 1-2 minutes like a good shack loop/jungle gym can last, plus chasing people that drop pallets and run is more fun for the killer than just running around a frustrating piece of scenery for 1-2 minutes.

Unless they are playing in The Game

  • About the cheaters, the supposed anticheat is a joke, also is quite well documented that any possible ban happens 2 weeks after you report them and also they are cases of players that haven't been banned for some reason, also since the game was free on epic a lot of cheaters made multiple accounts tp have tje game so they have lots of burn accounts.

About the toxicity well, is what you can expect for a pvp game, there are people who play fair and say gg wp and move on and there are people wich fathers are cousins/brothers that need to get attention somehow and trashtalk/are toxic or some players have a bad game and the next one become apes to relief the anger from the last game ruining the other side fun and then making that side act toxic the next game.

Devs apparently are more worried on making skins/nerfing killers than in the general state of the game itself.

  • @IamFran said:

That's the reason why since Nemesis (included) all the killers released have at least one gen regression/protection perk (since Twins without considering Trickster), because they are finally aware that the gen speeds are crazy and at least they want to give us varied forms of avoiding the gens get done in a blink (band-aid fix). In the case of Artist even the three perks. And almost all killer meta perks are related to this.

But there are still people saying that Gen rush doesn't exist and "JuSt PuT PreSSuRe".

Despite the "gen speed awareness" the gen regresion/slowdown perks they have released are mostly a joke, only the artist scourge hook and deadlock are kinda of worth the perk slot and even there gens go quickly.

There is a good reason why people run ruin+undiying despite the risk of cleansing it before it does anything instead of oppresion, overcharge, jolt, etc and that is because the regresion % is basically less than 10 seconds of working of a gen, even pop regresion is redone in like 15 secs so, clearly a good idea with awfull tougth of speeds.

  • Despite how much i love her she is top tier A, she can snipe mapwide but in some maps with second floors she is less powerfull. Also against W holders unless the are already swarmed you cannot do a lot to catch them unless you just shotgun them with crows if they are already injured.

  • People act like vhs will kill dbd, but people forget that battlefield and call of duty coexist, like pubg and fortnite or mortal kombat and street fighter.

All games belong to a same genera but they have different mechanics and appeal to different public. Either way competion will help both games to make to work ln their cons and stronger their pros.

  • For what i have seen in some games watching streamers (because i have like 180 hours in the game) there is a lot of everything in the high end of the mmr, survivros that predrop and press W the whole match, people that leaves instantly, people that try to save his teammates, but that cpuld be due to him "losing" some matches and then stomping others making him having a consistant mmr.

  • I have been playing freddy a while now and just as many said, the pallets sucks against comms teams and the snares wich are overall better are still a bad power.

His perks are somewhat usefull for some thematic build but they don't stand out.

And his addons are the worst part, the only ones usefull enough are the paint brush and the chain but like the snares despite being his bests options they aren't particullary strong.

His only powerfull tool is the generator tp wich works wonder with pop and bbq and that's it.

  • Haddonfield is survivor sided, yes, is it broken, no, so it's not going to be killswitched because nothing is malfunctioning.

Even if survivors and killers agree that RPD is a bad map it was designed to be a damm laberynth so it is working as bhvr intended.

  • The main problem i think they have is te fact that they can keep on activating them and also the fact that if you use it on a hex totem the killer and cleanse it forever is very poor design in my opinion.

  • This reminds me of my days playing heartstone, anyway, this is a very accurate bingo

  • Having a nice day and playing dbd can't go together in the same sentence without making them mutually exclusive

  • Slug works to force someone of the gens to help him back up (unless he has unbreakable), now if you talk about put every survivor in the ground and let them bleed out then yes, pretty boring stuff unless you do some weird afk shenanigans like some youtube vids

  • I was thinking on this the other day and there are some issues i kind of think when making a vampire killer and that is what power would you give him, it would make sense that he/she could transform into a bat and just fly around but it would make them do a lot of extra work in preparing maps for not exploting your skill to ignore most of the obstacles.

If that is not the case wich power could you give him without felling like a copy/paste killer and that makes sense for a vampire.

Don't get me wrong, i would love to play as f****ng Dracula but there is also lots of things to tweek for it to sort of work.

  • The only issue i think pinhead still has is his tier 1 myers lunge and that the extra chains that he summons with his power sometimes spawns really near objects making them easy to break are what is making him quite underwhelming.

  • I have been playing freddy also quite a lot this weeks and yeah, there are addons that are complete trash.

You are always forced to play with 5 snares (wich aren't the great thing in my opinion) and if you want to play with the dream pallets there are maps (like midwich) where there is no spots to put some of them besides where the original pallets start and against a team in comms is imposible to cacth them off guard.

The ones that are at best decent are the ones that reduce the cooldown of your tp but you need to keep survivors sleep to make it worth.

  • Well, the thing is if they make perks more sinergic with certain killer powers then some perks would be used with said killers, wich at the end will make very predictable to guess wich perks the killer is running.

Alternatively, you can use an Obsession focused build with Rancor and either Furtive Chase or Nemesis, but admittedly those challenges are not fun and do encourage tunnelling instead of happening organically like others do.

I just come from hours of frustration from trying to finish the No Mither, No Problem challenge from a previous tome. I was tunnelled in all my matches until I managed to get out in one by bloody miracle. I don't know who in BHVR is in charge of those, but I dread ever using that perk ever again.

Imagine if you try to get the 3k (or i think it was 4k) with pop, bamboozle and coulrophobia, that rift challenge seems quite bad since i have to level up the clown and try to get the perks on other killers (or buy them on the shop) or play as clown.

  • If you have spirit then just use rancor and hunt the obsession at the end.

  • Nobody other than the mods or developers know, i think that maybe there was some problems with the chatereer skin that made them remove the voicelines

  • I usually play games during the evenning and night (4 pm and 9 pm) and most of the close matches as killer i found are during the night (mix of competent and good survivors).

During the evenning i tend to find more variety in the overall skill of survivors but it's usually competent ones.

  • I have played killer only since they add sbmm and there has been matches in wich i stomp survivors or they DC at the start of the match (no chases or anything, they were afk from the start and just DC) in wich cases i gave hatch to the last one.

Most of the matches have been standoffs until the last gen, quite fun games really and in the worst case only 1k (wich happened when i was playing new killers) against golds and iri players.

I have like 120 hrs so that could explain why there have been matches with sort of potatoes but in the end besides the long queues for finding a game the experience have been quite fun.

  • It´s quite hard, Michael took quite some heavy beatdowns on the movies and he only flinch and we don´t exactly know if trapper weapons and tras could do something to him.

    Anyway i would say Michael.
