I think the easiest way to answer op is point out dbd tournaments.
Survivors never lose. It becomes a 'who loses less' survivors when it's their turn. The killer isn't even expected to do well.
-
Imagine the uproar if survivors had totem like perks which could be destroyed.
The only reason undying and ruin are meta are speed at which gens get done is ludicrous. It's almost become mandatory for the killer to have an actual chance. Especially killers with no mobility (90 percent of them).
-
If a survivor unhooks someone when the killer is standing close by, and the unhooked guy is the only person the killer sees to chase, what do you expect will happen.
taking one guy out of the match as quickly as possible is the optimal way to play as a killer to get points.
-
A killer has to work off information in order to know where to go next.
If a survivor is unhooked and i'm still close i'll head back to the hook.
If I see a survivor close by the hooked guy, i'll go after him.
If you're expecting killers to run off and leave you alone after you've been hooked you're dreaming at the speeds gens get done.
If you're the first one hooked, congrats, you're the weakest link.
-
From what i've seen of the killer so far it looks like they had a concept, went with it and threw it into the game.
For this killer to work they need to:
1) Remove/reduce the pounce timer from victor as it's way too easy to kite around objects and avoid him infinitely.
2) Remove the cooldown transferring from twin to twin. You can score a hit on Victor but Charlotte is so far away it's pointless resulting in no follow up pressure. If Viktor attaches to a head Charlotte should get a speed up to catch up?
3) There are so many situations you can't release Victor in (as in close to gates/hooks etc) charlotte becomes the most garbage m1 killer in the game.
4) All the ones listed (locker, survivors doing nothing with victor attached etc).
For a killer to be effective they need the ability to move around the map quickly, down people quickly or good anti loop. The more you have of those, the higher tier the killer. The twins only have high mobility with victor, but he can't kill anyone. Charlotte has none of those things. So this killer as it stands is the worst killer in the game.

And then through your logic Phaeris, HIDING from killer (crying about holding hostage) is not against survivors objective (and that is to survive). And again IDK what world can u consider a 3K 1E a loss for a killer, well unless u r a try hard main killer only that thinks 4k is the only way to win.
Just hiding whilst doing no objectives isn't doing objectives. It's trolling. The killer trying to get 4 kills is doing objectives, not trolling.
Surviving infinitely isn't the objective of this game. Which is why don't get any rewards for this avoiding all killer contact and doing no gens/unhooking/etc. Your statement is ludicrous. You seem to think this game is a real life situation and not a game with points being awarded for completing certain tasks.
A loss for a killer is a de-pip, simple as that.

@quoclong said:
There is a difference between slugging and letting a full health person bleed out just to get 4th kill. AND NO a killer does not lose in 3-1 escape ratio. What logic are u using? PIPPING? I can pip by letting all 4 survivors escape!!! is that a win for killer? Killer can get 4k and a survivor can PIP+ so did killer lose?
There is no difference. You are bleeding the 3rd to try and stop the 4th from just jumping through the hatch. That is playing the games objectives. The killer can lose in a 3-1 escape ratio easily with the current pip system, he could even depip. I don't understand your logic.
-
Clown brothers represent!.
(cries in clownface).
-
Which is why this game needs a fix. Currently no reason for survivors to do anything game related if they don't want to.
They can spend the entire round trolling the killer, avoiding objectives.
Either the game needs a timer (it it dead by daylight after all, so daylight implies dawn is coming).
Or if no gens are worked on for x amount of time a countdown starts which can only be interrupted by gen completion.
-
PC.
I've had times the cloud will completely hide survivors at clutch moments.
-
Good thing though, hook the twitch person, and 9/10 times their 3 simps will throw themselves at the hook trying to free them.

Aside from Doc needing a nerf IMO, not because he’s too strong, because he’s not...but his powers do too much, every killer is fine from my POV, able to win games.
At high ranks this just isn't true. Especially against a swf.
Low mobility killers are penalised due to gen speed. Even a large chunk of perks rely on the killer being able to quickly get to somewhere, either gen or totem, exclude them.
Combine that with the large number of very effective 2nd chance perks on multiple survivors makes it a nightmare for many killers.
The balance in this game is truly horrible.
This is why you only see the same 2-3 killers doing well at that rank. High mobility ones.
-
Its a sad fact that on 80 percent of killers, if you dont find someone and down them in the first 30 seconds, the game is lost due to gen speed.
-
FIngers crossed to buff my Clown!
-
So if in response to 'ezgg' spam i happen to mention someones mother having fun with my private parts....
-
Higher the rank, more toxic the survivors. Which in turn brings out the worst in me, which i don't like.
My end game chats are 9/10 times awful. I'm as guilty as they are as well.
-
Survivors get points and ranks just for turning up.
Killers need to complete a set of criteria which actually favours survivors and makes so many killers not only worse, but harder to gain points on due to low mobility/map coverage
-
Use both red add ons.
Use monitor and observe, ruin, undying and bbq.
Don't pay attention to people saying not to use them. Survivors will use red keys, bulbs, maps etc but somehow a weak killer using their best add ons is wrong?
Please.
-
Clearly Clown is number 1.
-
This game is a joke for tournaments. It only highlights how strong swf is, i;ve never seen a killer do well.
-
Sorry dude, this is an awful awful idea.
-
Ruin, dying light, stbfl, and disco or bbq.
Honestly, anything else and you won't be able to keep up with gens.
-
I don't use moris, but when 2 people get to leave via the hatch. well, that's even worse.
Actually the hatch in general is complete bs. Free exit for the last guy no matter how he did in the game, or how well the killer plays.
-
No matter how you play, what you do, survivors will complain.
Even if one player left on a hook , rest of team all dead, and you're standing next to him, he'll call you a camper.
-
There are only a few killers you can play 'cleanly' with . Hag, nurse, spirit. So basically killers with high mobility and great map coverage.
I main Clown. Unless the other side is 4 potatoes, no way in hell can you play clean. There's a reason some killers are bottom of the tier list.
I think survivors seem to forget (if that's the right word), 75 percent of killers can't cross from one side of the map to another and are better suited to proxy camp/ 3 gen defend.
-
Because it's extremely hard to do.
You have to land all the bounces and then hit with the last one.
-
Lol, like the guy said. What do you expect her to do, find everyone else when gates are open.
You are not a smart man.
-
@piggypablo said:
Maybe 1 out of the 10 most recent games I've played, has the killer approached the exit gate. Even then, it was only with like 15 seconds left on the timer.
you are not a smart man.
-
Yeah Blight is lots of fun until certain maps. Then he becomes an M1 killer 90 percent of the time.
-
Because as a killer in red ranks not running those ruin and undying almost guarantees gens go in 5 mins.
I actually hate having to run it in games.
-
Nurse, hag, spirit most likely.
-
Because he's so good 1v1. Makes people cry.
Sadly he has no map pressure and is a medium tier killer at best.

it just to much. Its RNG depended. Which means in worst case (and this happens much more than you will admit) u have to cleanse 4 hex totems to get rid of ruin. Good luck doing that on one of the newest maps with INSANE hidden totems like hawkins, or generally any other indoor map. And then throw in tinkerer and high mobility and its gg
Lol, have you...have you...
Did i mention i've been playing survivor, and ive never lost to that perk combo, in fact I get all 5 gens in the first 5 mins solo. Never lost a game, never let a klller get a single kill.
In fact i kill the killer everytime.

Otzdarva's idea was to remove map offerings for SWF. I can usually handle an ormond on a fairly uncoordinated team but when they are on comms and can tell each other exactly where I am so they can all run off doing gens on the other side of the map while im left chasing someone on the endless loops of ormind then thats kinda unfair. Getting it naturally is fair, but having a team have a strategy before the game even starts is kinda impossible.
That would be amazing
-
They should really show which map it is when you start, then allow you to pick the killer according to the map, since some killers are completely negated by certain maps.
-
Just seems unfair killer has to either counter, or it's 4 chances the map will favour survivor, and we know it's gonna be bloody Ormond.
-
@Eninya said:
Play Claudette, so you can recognize her. Her silhouette is incredibly obvious, and hiding in corn husks, reeds, and bamboo bends them all unnaturally. To further this, she's not even the best person to hide in that stuff.
Since she's my main survivor, finding her is easier than finding Bill, Jake, Quentin, and David in a lot of maps because I know what she looks like in all animations and visuals, and I can deduce where someone is hiding because I would likely hide in the same place from a visual standpoint.
This is probably the dumbest thing i've read. I feel more stupid for it.
-
Oh jesus, the grating noise is so loud and awful
-
If you cant do well on survivor you wont do well on killer
-
I played a load of blight up until recently, i really enjoyed him. But the higher rank you get he has just too many easy counters and his power is unpredictable due to bugs.
His power has no use in loops so you just become an M1 killer. Decent survivors just end up going into a building/jungle gym and wasting time knowing your power adds nothing in those situations.
When you bounce you'll sometimes slide or hit a completely invisible object which kills a chase fast. Also you can't start a bounce too close to things, you have to be a few steps away.
He's massively map reliant. Probably the most map reliant killer in the game.
Having that unpredictability alone breaks him. Also note his legs are stuck in the ground to his knees, so for a killer who needs to see where the survivors are to maximise his power use have fun in tall grass...
The way his bps are awarded also seem to be screwy for chases, as lethal rushes don't count as a chase.
-
So you're saying that whilst you were being chased, the other survivors were all just doing gens instead of trying to help you.
In fact in all your scenarios you seem to do all the gens, and the killer only gets people at the very end due to noed. If he didn't have noed what would the outcome be for him. Probably zero kills. you sound like someone who never plays killer.
-
Keys.
Like everyone else said. Having something which allows 2 players to escape with no actual pre-requisite needed (finding the hatch...lol).
-
Know this, don't look at survivors as players, they're just objectives. They won't give a ######### about playing fairly against you.
No matter how you win, they will accuse you of tunnelling, camping, slugging.
You can beat 3 of them, let the fourth go, and that one will still t bag at the exit.
If you want to play huntress or DS be prepared to lose a hell of a lot until you learn how to shoot (as this game is not fps, you can land shots with ds which should hit yet never hit). You alos need to learn all the objects you can shoot over and shoot through, which loops short ends you can drag people around etc.
If you want to progress ranks faster use doctor with red add ons, or freddy. Doctor is great as it just messes with players playstyles and is great for finding players who ironwill around the map.
-
So many more useful survivor perks compared to killer ones.
Also the best killer perks can be negated simply by finding the totem. Can you imagine if that was the case for survivors too?
-
Look at Blight, they still haven't fixed his height, or his collisions.
I guarantee a new killer will be released before they touch him again (if ever).
Also - who buys killer skins for cash? - you can't even see them in the main game, only on the waiting screen. It's ridiculous.
-
This is why i don't play Blight anymore. The amount of invisible objects he hits is atrocious.
-
Lol. Survivors.
Unable to split up across the map, do a gen each and guarantee 3 gens done within the first few minutes by the time the fourth is caught and hooked.
The problem is you my friend.
-
So nurse needs buffing?
-
As you said, it's all money.
Gen speeds are just ridiculous. Every other game 2 gens are done in the first minute.

another point that has to do with his power
Yup, he just has too much counterplay. He's hard to use, with little reward if you pull off a great rush.
Really his last rush should put people into a dying state instead of that being an add on.
