medkits and toolboxes are the strongest ones, but meddkits are better for soloq you know? at least if you know how to use it (insta heals are also really strong)

I just go self care and bring a toolbox, so I get the best of both worlds, I normally run Self care + Bite the Bullet turn the corner and start healing and watch the killer run right past me lol

i'd love to use chase perks only. as survivor i do, but as killer it depends on what survivor bring. sometimes slowdown is absolutely necessary.

Thats the thing I never liked about killer, in high level games your pretty much forced to run slowdown otherwise you get stomped 9/10

It's fair. It's just annoying when it happens to you. Not that this is the case but if killer camps hook end game, you can't blame them as they have nothing else to do.

same when people are hiding all game with full stealth builds, the min I get a hook Im milking it for everything I can get out of it.

  • If Wesker could grab people infected by nem infection that would be freaking nuts

For love of god and all things holy STOP NERFING PERKS ON BOTH SIDES. Adrenaline gets no use if ppl don't make it to end game.

That's the balance. No exit gates? Useless perk.

It's frustrating how perks keep getting nerfed all the time. I'd like to see more creativity with new options. Is that asking too much?

Id like to see the game balanced but aparently players like you would rather have new content so we would be left with a ######### storm of op stuff to sift through....balance the game first THEN add cool new things, not before, not after now. ...

  • I think if someone is hooked when the final gen is done they shouldnt get the adreneline proc when unhooked. its completely unfair and stupid asf when they get unhooked fully heal and sprint burst to the exit gates.

  • Self care needs to stay bad so medkits actually mean something

I think DMS is just a problematic perk, there's been multiple cases now where it's been at the center of some build or combo being overpowered. Which is why I think DMS shouldn't activate when a survivor is forced to let go of a generator for any reason (including Grim Embrace), would fix most of this stuff.

Its not a problem at all..... its not like it regresses the gen dude. its not diffrent then deadlock. simple fix, dont get off gens if you know that have DMS?

its not giving both sides a way to play around bleedout timers its forcing killers to hook survivors to prevent a second chance. No killer would want to give a survivor a chance to get away for free.

sometimes there are no hook nearby and they must bleed out or they will wiggle away. Sometimes you leave them to pressure the team to get off gens and heal. Sometimes you leave them to prevent flashlight saves, etc.

this mechanic would take all that away and force killers to performs pickups which is a direct nerf. Not to say your idea isnt clever or i hate it, it would just need some tweaks.

Dog Perks already give survivors a second chance when they are downed...

    Unbreakable

    Soul Guard

    No Mither

    Etc

its hella rare to actually get a kill from bleeding someone out.

(sometimes there are no hook nearby and they must bleed out or they will wiggle away.)

Your right but this change would literally create new hooks....making the map easier to hook people on.

it would just need some tweaks.

I agree with ya there, I def aint a dev xD

  • @GoldfishCrackers said:

but you said if you let them bleed out they will get picked up and they will be given a escape opportunity with skill checks which would be a huge nerf to killers. essentially forcing the killer to pick them up when in some instances bleeding out is necessary. this mechanic would directly nerf killers and buff survivors.

If your bar is filled the entity will summon a hook at your position, (mini game plays) upon being picked up you will have to hit 3 medium skill checks and 1 hard skill check, if you miss a skill check you will be put on the hook (this counts as a hook state) if you successfully hit all the skill checks you will then gain haste and endurance for 10 seconds.

they need to hit 4 skill checks in order to not be hooked dude. theres going to be alot of ppl who fail that and get hooked instead of getting away.....this would just give both sides a way to play around bleed out timers dude.

  • @GoldfishCrackers said:

bleeding out is needed in alot of instances removing it would be a huge nerf to killers imo

I think this would actually be a way better option, instead of having to slug every one you let them (bleed out) then they get auto hooked, if anything it would make things easier for both sides.

I actually enjoy this idea in my humble opinion. As long as it’s fair for survivor and killer, I have no issue with it.

I think it would be kinda fun to witness a hook just spawn right next to you, because the entity is getting bored at once some action to happen. 🤣

That was my thought on it, we are in the entitys realm for its enjoyment, seeing ppl just sitting on the ground isnt enjoyable for anyone so I think the entity would 100% be like nah lets spice things up g.

Played a team tonight that all had boil over, all sabo'ed, and spread hooks further out with that offering. It was a pain, had to keep slugging them. Finally and very painfully got the 3k. Then I got abused in the lobby over the slugging.

Survivors basically saying "when I bring these certain perks, there is only one way for you to win, and if you use tunneling or slugging despite the huge advantage I have with my SWF, you are bad". So ridiculous.

Yep they use feelings over facts, players like that are bottom feeders who ruin this games community and fun

    1. Maybe you are at high MMR, most players aren't. Solo players sure as hell aren't.
    2. I didn't say that there are no valid reasons to bleed survivors out. I didn't gloss over anything. I didn't even say the majority of killers do it. I'm simply saying that most survivors are not running a full SWF that can make hooking impossible. When they are getting bled out for four minutes straight it's purely because the killer player is trolling.
    3. If you think that killers wouldn't do it for the lulz then you underestimate just how much hostility some killer players have towards survivors in general. I've seen the term "sociopath" used to describe survivor players quite often.

That goes both ways dude, theres more toxic survivors then there are killers. I mean its a 1 to 4 ratio your bound to run into more a hole survivors then a ahole killer

Will the new hook make that aura look killer? If not, the answer for most murderers is probably "no."

Aura Look Killer??? i have 0 clue what your trying to say here.

Most players don't play in squads, so if they get slugged to death it's genuinely because the killer wants to waste everyone's time. I've only experienced it a few times, but I had an experience where a Bubba managed to down my three teammates who were all in one place, I went over to help and got downed. The Bubba just left everyone on the floor and nobody had UB, so we all just lay there and slowly bled out.

BHVR could make changes that would limit the ability for squads to be obnoxious without harming everyone else, as most players (solo queue) have zero potential to do anything close to what might be considered griefing.

Odd bc most my games are against players that all know each other.... and are swfing...

"so if they get slugged to death it's genuinely because the killer wants to waste everyone's time"

this is pretty stupid considering I just listed reasons why you are forced to slug but ok just gloss over that

Killers who slug and let you bleed out are a very small minority of players they are just broadcasted so much that it seems like alot of ppl do that when in all actuality they dont.

  • I highly doubt that, survivors tend to hold dear to any thing they can abuse.

  • What would you change about bleed outs?

Then fix that crap. Boil Over has been a stupid janky perk for years now.

I second you on that but even then look at soul guard builds where you get endurance for picking yourself up, and you cant hook bc they all have toolboxes and if you drop them they scatter and repeat, idk why people think killers slug bc they want to, i dont enjoy making people bleed out its boring asf, but some games I cant do jack ######### but that.

  • It would but it also wouldnt, Issac dosent run from danger he runs to it.

  • I mean if your asking for that then I want to be able to walk through survivors who body block me from getting to hook or leaving a room.....

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/405302/basement-hole

Don't need to do that. SImple solution, don't run the killer toward the basement and don't do gens near the basement. Done!

We need to stop nerfing stuff because it's "hard" but has natural counters.

this right here survivor players need to get.....

  • @TieBreaker said:

If slugging all four survivors at once till they bleed out is just part of gameplay, then I'll make a suggestion. Let's have a mechanic where if all four survivors make it to the exit gate, they get a barrier that protects them from the killer. It lasts four minutes and survivors can choose to force the killer to wait till the timer finishes, at which point the survivors win.

There's a bunch of people here defending the right for killers to waste four minutes of the other player's time when the killer has already won, so this shouldn't be a problem, right?

You do realize theres times all you can do is let them bleed out right???

like the infinite self pick up/endurance builds

or ######### boil over builds where you quite literally cant ######### pick them up

  • I mean when 4 people are running a boil over build I sure a ######### aint going to pick anyone up, what do you want from me

  • Bc the devs lack creativity out side of skins

  • @MalekithHatesSnow said:

"Why can the killer injure and down survivors without a perk" that's what you just said

I read that post and had a stroke bro lol, bro is asking such a in your face answer question its wild.

  • Then bring unbreakable forehead or the other self res perks??
