I'm sorry, I couldn't resist. XD

something needs to be done about moris they're just incredibly unfair. The equivalent would be if survivors had an offering to spawn an open hatch at 5 gens.

I never expect anything else from hag players. She can be used aggressively, but once she catches someone, down goes the hook trap and 2 or 3 escape paths with furious teleport button spam while waiting even while chasing someone else.
W/e. You have your opinions.

Love how every word unde the sun is being used instead of the word camp.
Defensive = campy
Territorial = campy
Just say you camp with her and be done with it.
Zzzz
So you're saying that you actually expect a hag, a 110 killer , to patrol every generator on the map. Even though that makes her completely unable to use her power in any form against good survivors, or mediocre swf. I just want to make sure we're on the same page.
Especially when the whole point of this post was me asking for advice to break out of that play style. Y'all have no chill lol.

I wasn’t going to comment because I’m not great at being aggressive with her and figured someone else would.
So, the main way people play her is territorially. However, Michi plays pretty aggressive. You can watch his videos.
I switch between territorially and aggressively if I have a really good reason to. For instance, two people are left and they haven’t been triggering my web.
If you haven’t already learned it, you should identify times you don’t want to teleport. Instead, look at where your phantasm is watching and move to cut the person off.
To play aggressively you’ll be dismantling your old web and wandering around the map, placing traps in paths as normal. However, you want them to be very surprising.
A few of them should still be in tiles but most of them should be in the paths outside of tiles so you can track down the survivors by decreasing the chance of them crouching through.
I only do this when I already have a 2k because doing it before that is incredibly difficult.
If you can get really good at it you’ll be unpredictable and a threat to teams that are actually good at dealing with her because they will have a much harder time figuring out your webs.
Cool, I'll check this Michi fellow out. I try to keep my traps semi equal between tiles and pathways. Pathway to start chase, tile to end it. Hopefully michi has some new tricks I can pick up.

Imagine complaining about franklins...

That would be the quickest way for BHVR to ruin their otherwise successfull game lol.

Excluding killers with addons, Ghostface. They just scare the living bajeezuz outta me lol.
And obviously the obligatory Iri-head huntress complaint if we are considering addons.

Most balanced/least controversial? I'd say Iron Will
Don't think I've ever seen a single post complaining about Iron Will.
It gives you more opportunities to make skilled plays but does nothing if you aren't good. Pretty well designed to me and pretty polar opposite of most the other meta perks.
IRON WILL IS [BAD WORD]... kidding lol.

Because Hag can't go for a massive slug, and when you hit someone with borrowed time, you're pretty much done. They sprint across the map and you can't do anything, no slug.
So the only thing you can do that doesn't make you lose the match is hitting the rescuer, maybe even with a good make your choice, and hook him. Problem: the guy saved now has 60 seconds to mend, heal, go straight to the hook, rescue while make your choice is on cooldown, and force you to slug him. And then he gets up with unbreakable 35% faster.
What Rank are you playing hag at? Also what's your setup and playstyle? I play hag almost exclusively and while any killer finds DS/Unbreakable/BT, I usually find them a little less annoying on hag.
-
Everyone has their preferences. I enjoy playing hag a lot. In a good match its a ton of fun to watch survivors head for my traps. But if they know how to counter you, it can also be a little frustrating. There's some thought involved with trap placement and setup and she's fun to snowball with. Once you hook a survivor, you start creating your "web" of traps to dismantle every loop and likely pathway nearby. If they break free of the web your in a bad spot but usually the run right into most traps. Highly recommend hag.
-
It's most likely either the killer spinning with you or just a latency issue. If the killer didn't turn to face you after he hit you then the issue was latency. On their screen, you were still in front of them when they hit.

How are people seriously objecting to the idea of more bloodpoints?
It's not like OP is proposing Moris give Survivors a gen done for free or anything; it's 100% more BP post-game so Survivors are actively encouraged to play the game.
The issue is that killers dont want to see survivors get rewarded just because they run into something they don't like. There's plenty both sides dont like dealing with, that doesn't mean we think BHVR needs to start "apologizing" on behalf of either side in the form of double bp. I don't think its reasonable for the killers strongest tools to reward the survivors. I also dont think its necessary for the survivors strongest tools to reward the killer.
Its a mindset thats extremely unhealthy for the game "Killer/survivor used a mori/key. I deserve justice and compensation."
-
Actually this just happened to me. I didn't feel SUPER bad, but I did feel a little guilty. a survivor got off hook and triggered my phantasm trap. I do as any good hag does and immediately teleport and M1. I didn't even realize they were the survivor just on the hook. (I wasn't paying attention, I was searching for someone else.) that is until I picked them up and death hooked them. Like I said, it didn't super phase me or anything, but I don't like tunneling/camping (Though camping the whole map at once is kind of hags power.) when I can avoid it. and I was definitely in a good enough position that it wasn't called for.
But killing a cocky survivor is ALWAYS fun. Survivors Tbagging me at a pallet thirsty for a flashlight stun get the best surprise when it doesn't work.

Because games do not generally force people to keep playing them. It's an out for various reasons, if you played more survivor you would experience plenty of them.
Not going to way in on either side of the whole argument, but I will say that MANY games, especially those that feature online vs-coop, give far more strict penalties for leaving games early. Granted these are more competitive games like MOBAs and whatnot, but the point is yes, in games where you have teammates that rely on you, you are forced to play, or you suffer a consequence.

Awww come on now, Devour hope Mori's are fair, you gotta work for those babies and if survivors are smart they will figure out what you have going, and if they are just plain lucky, they stumble into your totem, totally fair imo.
The most I tend to use every now and then is probably the green or yellow mori. But man when you earn that sweet devour hope endgame....beautiful
Oh Hey, neat. My original comment. I thought I deleted it somehow.
And agreed, thats why I wanted to use devour. I wanted to EARN the achievement. It wasn't easy either but eventually it stopped spawning out in the open or next to a gen and that bought me just enough time.
But I totally understand if the survivors I played against don't see it that way. To an extent. The people complaining that it was some sort of God perk obviously gave no thought towards how to handle it. And ironically, the survivors I got the 4k on were actually pretty chill about it. One dude even gave a congrats. But I guess thats kind of my the point. Have a healthy mindset about the opposing side. When I'm solo queue I'm way more angry at my team than I ever am at the killer. And I never blame survivors for absolutely stomping me either. If their toxic, sure, I get frustrated. But If I lose, I lose. I click ready again and I'm over it.

So just a little rant if you don’t want to read you don’t have to nothing important
To those that care the basis of the match was it was a pc huntress with crosshairs streaming and once I got off hook they proceeded to slug me straight down. As you know it’s almost impossible to dodge a hatchet when they have cross hairs. So I am forced to use unbreakable to get up and even though they are in chase comes back to do it again. All in all I was left on the ground for whatever the full bleed out timer is which all started at 5 gens. I saw they stream so I went to find out why this was and they said it is because I ran ds and unbreakable (mind you these are tier 1 versions as I was playing Kate someone with like 10 perks to use) All of this being an assumption since they couldn’t know perks till after the match. But even so I didn’t try to abuse them if I’m down right in front of the hook. I used unbreakable because I’m slugged while ds never got used because she left me on the ground for 4min when at most it’s 60 seconds. So my question is how is me using perks wrong but her using crosshairs to make shots is ok in her mind?
Well that is my rant that probably won’t make much sense now I will answer the posts I know are bound to happen before they do I don’t care how anyone plays if that’s their style go ahead just makes you look bad if you have to leave someone on the ground for 4 min at 5 gens and I do also get I shouldn’t run that build with how broken it is but I ran it for the match above in case I am slugged and/or tunneled which happens a lot in this game and I can atleast admit I’m garbage on a lot of maps when it comes to looping Ive been a killer main for two years and only on survivor for about 2-3 months tops so if I am being tunneled I tend to panic and don’t want to waste too many resources so I’ll take a down and either stun or get myself up to gain distance
I Kind of have a middle opinion on this. I see why you're both annoyed. I main killer but I play both sides (you have to if you want to be good at either) DS/Unbreakable is pretty stressful as a killer. But it's not the end of the world either. If I'm a killer in a lobby with multiple DS Unbreakables, yeah, for sure, im not playing nice. There's really no option to at that point. If I get DSd by every survivor or let every survivor pick themselves up, I'd spend the whole game with next to 0 map pressure and its a guaranteed loss (Mind you this is all assuming the survivors play well and are abusing these perks.). The only way to recover from something like that is to play dirty or hope the survivors haven't been doing gens effeciently.
And while I don't agree with letting one survivor being slugged the whole game for DSU, especially if they're the only one, I understand the mindset behind it. Its meant to be a smack on the nose to discourage you from using the combo in the future so that there are fewer lobbys where EVERY survivor runs that combo. But, i also think that's conceited and entitled as [BAD WORD].
But this is kind of a perfect example of what DbD is. Its asymmetrical, no one side is supposed to have complete control every match. Sometimes your run into 4 DSU with an object and some really well used exhaustion perks. Sometimes you run into an Iri head huntress with a red mori. I think its important for both sides to remember "Just because you can doesn't mean you should." But maaaaaybe every once in a while, sure, why not. Just for funsies.
Alright, that's it for me. Thank you for coming to my TED talk.

I'm not going to say that the 'general consensus' thing isn't true, it seems there are different theories everywhere, and generally i have no investment in whether we get extra BP for it. But i can confirm on both ps4 and pc i see PLENTY of moris going around. First two games i played on PC ever, both mori games. Got into a standard match, then two more mori games. It isn't like that ALL the time, but it happens enough times that its more than being 'used sparingly'. A lot more in my experience.
Some of this can be due to challenges, other times it can just be mori day for more than one killer that you bump into. Sometimes your brown toolkit just ensures that you 'deserve it', whatever the reason, its not really something that happens just once in a while.
I don't have an issue with Moris really, they are a part of the game, but they sure are frequent, especially in bloodpoint or special events, then you see them nearly every damn game.
I Left a longer message saying thats fair and explaining that I don't use moris often. But I tried to correct a grammatical error and it deleted itself.
Short version, maybe I'm just lucky to not run into killers with moris often. And I dont use them often so I figured others don't as well.
Thanks dbd forum...

That's Fair. And maybe I have the rarer experience of being spared moris more often. I know as far as offering moris go I've only ever burned 2. The first was a green because I just wanted to test moris out, the other was a yellow that I forgot to use.
Now, I have used devour hope a fair few times. It was a self imposed challenge that I wanted the "mori 4 survivors" achievement without burning an offering. But thats really it. And to me thats been a VERY short portion of my "killer career".
-
Or just play the game and get over it... last time I played a match with a spirit that brought a red mori, I just accepted that "alright, ya can't win 'em all and this is one of those times."
Me and another survivor T-bagged the bill as he was being brutally murdered and looped the spirit for as long as possible for fun.
And we said our ggs after the match like civilized adults. And if you get morid super early, so what? Especially with queue times as short as they are right now you'll be in the next match in 5 minutes.
Most killers don't bring moris. I genuinely don't understand what there is to be mad about. If you get a killer with a mori EVERY game, sure that's one thing. At that rate BHVR should absolutely address that. But as it stands it seems the general consensus among killers is moris should be used sparingly. And I've only ever come across one.

Defensive is how you play her, you don't want to be aggressive. You never commit to chases outside your web.
As you mentioned you're generally gonna pick your best 3 gen as soon as the match starts and essentially never leave it. You just camp those 3 gens and whatever unfortunately soul gets hooked inside the web as an unlucky casualty of being near the gens. That's just how she plays which is why a lot of people don't like going against her.
Thanata is a trap perk. It does very little.
Sloppy and Monitor are great. Ruin if you like it, but I think it's too much of a gamble of it's found and whether or not it happens to be in the 3 gen you want. I personally think Surge is way better because you're more likely to hit multiple gens with it because you picked your 3 gen as the closest gens and it saves you kick time which is more substantial on a slower killer like hag.
I personally have a soft spot for Surveillance on her for locking down your 3 gen and it synergizes well with Surge.
MYC is also an extremely strong choice.
Thanks for the advice!
I guess it's atleast a little reassuring to know im playing hag right. I wouldn't ever accuse myself of playing the game "well" but it seems after 20ish hours on hag i have the gist of it. Im currently running with limited killer perks but i might pickup demo and pig soon for the surge&surveillance combo. I've heard about MYC a lot and I like it but I think i would only run it with trap duration addons or a mint rag.
I like thana but I guess I can see where you're coming from. I used it to encourage survivors to heal and not do gens but also penalize them in tandem with sloppy for doing so. But if they just run to the other side of the map, yeah they're not getting gens done but im also not getting hits on them. So it makes sense. I guess I'll swap it for something mediocre on hag temporarily. Maybe whispers/knockout/third seal or something. Until I get some more options.
