Because reworks just suck and they continue to mess it up. Might as well stop before it mutates.

It could be you? No, not possible, it must be the killer thats bad.

There is an auto-aim in the game? Isn't that an urban legend?
Aim assist and it's job is to visually center the hit on a detected hit. The problem is that centering can pull you into an object negating the hit you otherwise had.
-
You have custom games with bots if you want to get familiar with a killer's power. If you say that's not the same you'll be right. So would playing against survivors that don't know how to play in order for you to practice.

That's not remotely close to how MMR works.
If I lose a game, it's not cancelled out by someone else winning. It's cancelled out by losing MMR, facing an easier opponent, and WINNING AGAINST THEM.
Obviously, the current MMR doesn't work, and that's why you get 19 4Ks in a row, but no that's not "normal" or good.
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/4002593#Comment_4002593
Some killers are really good at securing 1k, so their kill rate is going to be higher, but it's still a loss.
No, it's 1/4th of a win. You still beat someone. 0K, sure, that's a loss, but if Survivors have to suck it up when they get tunneled out and accept the cold comfort of their teammates escaping, then Killers have to suck it up and accept a 1K occasionally.
Neither one feels great, but the player who literally got kicked out of the game does have a SLIGHTLY more valid complaint…
MMR is not that dynamic. It takes far more than 20 games to dip your MMR, especially if you're above the match making threshold.
Remember that's 19 different killers you faced. You don't know what kill/escape history each one had. The only consistent variable is your team.
-
1/20 isn't 60/40 or 50/50. Your team is at the low end of the bell curve. If BHVR decided to make it 50/50, like this was some synchronous PvP game, it wouldn't suddenly make your team better.
60/40 or 50/50 does not mean you are guaranteed an escape in so many games. Because it's not just you but thousands of other survivors that make up that stat. Your "team" lost 19 games was balanced out by someone else's team escaping 23 times.

Someone hasn't faced the harsh realities of online chat.

Asking for a "balance team" is essentially like asking a restaurant to have a dedicated team just to improve the menu. Even if they had such a team, that small group cannot possibly represent the thousands of daily consumers.
they want someone to blame and collectively shout at. Almo was that person before and now they need a new name to shout into the void.
-
Bloodlust is there for the weaker killers that don't have power that helps in chase. Besides it only grants 0.6m/s @ 35 seconds and it's easily lost.

I agree they should implement something sooner rather then later and if that something under delivers then buff it in the future.
I disagree with all the buffs and nerfs and systems required for their proposal. It's all just too complex. I think it could be solved much easier. Survivors get 5% haste buff off the hook until someone else is hooked. On unhook there is no longer a notification for the killer.
After 90 seconds of slug time, survivors can lift themselves up from slug for the rest of the match.
That's it. Let's try that for a bit and see what new strategies emerge.
What happens the Devs take another approach than what was in the PTB? Would you be happy if they gave you the PTB version just to rip it from you hands next patch? Historically speaking, even if the replacement was better, that would cause more outrage than just taking the time to work on it some more.

Ahem.. What do you think some killer players do as soon as the final gen pops?
The amount of times I have seen, or ended up in situations like this:
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/9FE2MJX4PP7A/facecamper.jpg
Now, this example is from the anniversary event, where I played with @HeroLives, but the point still stands. Killers will absolutely facecamp you.
its a generational thing considering the age of the game, but facecamping existed because standing that close blocked the unhooked prompt. Facecamping is no more because survivors can unhook from multiple sides. Further nerfing this method is the removal of hook grabs.
Think about it for a moment and see that what the killer is doing here is limiting their field of view. It would be better for them to stand back a few steps and stalk any survivor that comes to help. More than likely that Myers is close to T3.

Won't a lot of this change next chapter? While the tunneling and slugging changes won't come they didn't say the deadzones won't be.
-
Trapper. Is this even a question?
-
4 player tunneling is peak toxicity.
-
9 years and you don't have an idea because of a patch?

Its mainly fun for the Killers because they can play with a friend. Survivor is miserable in 2v8 and BHVR is not really doing any actual improvements. I mean, we are at the 5th (or 4th?) iteration of 2v8 and they still want to make Survivors play by giving them a msasive BP-Bonus.
And I think even for Killers the novelty wears off. I dont really play 2v8 and always groan if I see that they implement challenges where you are forced to play 2v8. As I said, Survivor is miserable. But Killer is also not that fun for me, especially after that one time where I waited 30 minutes in a queue just to have the other Killer playing as Wraith and sandbagging me the whole game. Personally, I also think that the play while you wait-feature is not really a good solution. It is A solution, but not a good one. Because in the end, if I want to play Killer, I want to play Killer, not Survivor. And apparently there are Killers out there who queue and then try to get out of the game as fast as possible when their wait time for playing Killer is coming to an end to be in the Killer Lobby ASAP.
And, I have not experienced that myself, having to wait for Killers to end their Survivor-Matches as Survivor just increases the queuetimes…
So yeah, people like 2v8, but I think those will become less and less and for me personally it is a waste of time to work on that mode.
I played more survivor this 2v8 due to the play while queued system. About 2 survivor for each killer match. Not once did I feel miserable.
-
Maybe the outcry from his release wasn't as bad as they made it out to be. Even after the bugs were fixed.
-
I'd take it you weren't tunneled before the PTB and the whole problem the PTB was going to solve didn't exist.
-
Considering the recent backlash, BHVR may want to test tweaks in a PTB instead of pushing a controversial and game changing patch to live and see how it goes.
-
At one point he was.

Problem is that in dbd cheating is more beneficial and almost non punishing because of their anticheat being joke for cheaters and their huge mistake in history with epic games this lead to cheaters creating with bots so many accounts that are sold for less than a dollar and lastly reporting cheaters takes more time than playing two games which is huge problem too. Now Im seeing more and more cheaters not just that subtle ones that just pick few more perks they dont have equiped and give them selfs mft all the time in chase trying to hide their cheats all the times not just mehs running to gen while being chased to repair it infront of the killer with invurability (you cant injure them or grab them as killer just sit there and wait till they finish the gen or move on to other survivors very enjoyable to play game with this kind of cheater) or survivors just on stranger things map running throught walls, teleporting and flashlight saving others through walls which plays like this was comp match siding with cheater is very poor state of this game. Dont get me wrong there are killer cheaters too but ususaly they are bots which kill you in first minute of the game or loading screen so you go next fast and they are way more rare than survivor cheaters, there are even teams, sfw teams which are all on coms and play with cheater as their friend this is sick too.
The Epic Game give away was long ago and wouldn't contribute to a rise in cheaters now compared to then. Any anti-cheat be it Easy Anti-cheat or any other can be and has been bypassed by cheaters. A lot of the cheats we see today should be caught by the server but too much trust is still given to the client.
-
You can never be free of cheaters. That said, bhvr can do better against ddos and server side validation.
-
Combined with others perks the survivor could have 1:1 speed as some killers. Even agaist normal 4.6 killers it's near impossible to catch upin a loop where the killer's hitbox is larger than the survivor.
-
The first thing I thought of when buying DBD that it was just like Mario Party.
/s
-
Yeah but the differences wasn't even in the area that benefited those killers, the BBQ aura. Excluding the new killer, all those listed had strong map movement or strong 1v1 and can benefit from the aura. Even with that they missed other killers that can teleport cross map like Dredge.
You could say the gen regres but that was a bonus against the progress, which is minimal.
-
Same reason there were complaints when infinites were removed.
-
I don't see how killing them on third hook is useful here. You have to be in Evil Incarnate Mode that only last 40s and is wasted. In the time it takes to do the mori you might as well hooked them. It's fine for flair but not as useful as Pyramid Head's quick mori.
-
Considering you are forced to ignore or slug a recently unhooked survivor that's repairing a gen in your face, this abandon scenario is just a slap in the face.

We are going down the competitor's path by…addressing the most common complaint over the last five years?
I guess the OP was TL;DR. Here's the relevant part.
VHS failed in large part because the Monster couldn't tunnel or camp. It seems clear to me from the design that they looked at DBD and figured that the biggest thing its players hate is tunneling and camping, so they eliminated those tactics.
But that meant the Monster ended up fighting 4 Teens most of the match, and there was no way to deal with a particularly difficult Teen. You'd finally kill one, and then they'd get the book of the dead and you're at 4 again. It was miserable to play Monster, so few did. I am a DBD Killer main, and I even gave up playing Monster because it was so miserable to play. I'd rather wait in a 15-minute Teen queue and play something else in the meantime than deal with that.
-
Haven't seen survivors scream yet so they will probably nerf her.

Doing what thing?
What is even the point of this?My guess is the OP thinks BHVR is not learning from their competitor's mistakes and going down the same path they did.

Ah, I should of known it was Vanity Mirror and not Scratched Mirror. I forgot I'm one of the few that likes jump scare Myers.

It has to be a hook action. This is at the bottom of the patch notes as a known issue because it isn't currently working as intended on ptb:
Tunneling reduction penalties trigger when Survivors go from the struggle hook phase to Sacrifice. These should only trigger when a hook interaction is performed to Sacrifice a Survivor.
Bug in the PTB. When it's live and without the bug (50/50 chance) you can hook a survivor twice in a row and not have a penalty. But if that survivor dies then the penalty will hit.
-
As long as the survivor doesn't die you can technically hook a survivor twice in a row. But if they die during that 2nd hook you are screwed.

i believe otz tested it on stream already. It could be bugged, or something that's maybe not working as intended.
I would assume it was tested on a 99'd gen.

You can invalidate every change in DBD by just saying "or you play Trapper". I dont really see this as an argument.
Like the opposite where every killer buff helps top tier killers only?

Or they could make it where her condemn power doesn’t counter before 6 hook states….
Her power is a worse Dredge, got it.

MMR is not based on time but on how many survivors you've killed. You played 3k-4k matches for awhile and now you are facing survivors that actually play the game. When you MMR does drop a little you go for the 4K and raise it back up.
If you want to play against bad survivors you have to give up on killing even when you easily could.
-
@Aven_Fallen said:
No. But honestly, if you lose 3 Gens before you get a Down, this means that you spent more than 90 seconds in that one Chase. This is quite long…
or you're playing Trapper and need time setting up.
-
You just have to ignore situations where you could gain the upper hand. What's wrong with that?

Where was this stated? If its a 90 second timer per down, thats completely different.
That's just typical patch notes. It's being on the floor for 90 seconds and then being able to pick themselves up. What is missing is if it's 90s in one go or cumulative. The notes make it sound like it's cumulative and every time they are slugged after that they can pick themselves up after reaching max recovery. An unlimited Unbreakable.
There are less and less reasons for survivors to get off a gens. Any inconvenience solves itself.

His tombstone from my understanding still exist its added to his base kit.
Its explained porly though.
Although what i heavily dislike is his new lunge dash like ability that is shown in this gif:
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/KYEB6NKI2G7O/theshape-slaughteringstrike.gif
As you can see bottom left the meter is being wasted so fast for one singular survivor on a singular loop in modern dbd 2025.
They never confirmed what happens if he does not get a confirmed HIT, will he suffer from slight exhaustion like recovery of a hit or can he move speedy and keep the chase active.
The ability is very scarce aka rare and its made to conversve it which i heavily dislike in modern dbd, few years back before wall hug tech was not meta and everyone was using it this would been fine.
It's not basekit if it requires two hook states per survivor to achieve the same result.

Never buy a new character for the perks. Anything popular will get changed in a few months.

All killers need to be Trapper.

Being in anonymous mode does not make you anonymous to BHVR. Spreading hate as you put it is still reportable. BHVR knows who you are reporting. Stop acting like it doesn't.
