I 100% agree, its not overpowered. I've played games of survivor with this build on the killer and got all 5 gens done and 4 people escape without even cleansing the ruin. New ruin is hardly even a good perk anymore, and the fact that people are gaurding it with another perk slot just means that they are using 2 perk slots for a fairly bad perk. This is my problem with the new ruin, its too good to not be a hex perk, but its not quite good enough to be a hex perk, hence why I just dont use it. You will have a much better time with Pop and Tinkerer and Dragons Grip tbh, that way that gen is pretty much gaurenteed to take twice as long to finish. Suvivors (who can use Unbreakable and DS) have no right to call such a mediocre build "smol pp"
-
This really sounds like your'e in a rank that you arent ready for. I can hold rank 1 fairly easily, winning around 50% of my games, another 20% on only a few kills and around 30% where they all escape. I play both survivor and killer equally so my view on both is balanced, and I would say that killer has a much greater advantage than survivor with perks/powers/offerings etc. Survivors can use unbreakable and DS which is scummy but a thing, but killers can use moris. Survivors can bring map offerings but killers can bring sacrafical wards if they suspect that a swf is gonna do that. survivors can camp hooks but so can killers, so thats not really a good argument. They can bring borrowed time, you can just leave the hook. If they save in your face with it then just go for the uninjured person, they basically gaurentee that they get hit and have a harder run. Brand new parts? They work once, killers have Pop Goes the Weasel, that works up to 12 times in a game. So yeah, adding more stuff that make survivors weaker is not the way the game needs to go yet. I have never heard anyone have so much trouble with getting a 4k, this clearly means that you are not ready for the rank you are in.
-
I 100% agree that keys need a nerf just as much as moris. I play both killer and survivor and while playing as killer and someone gets the hatch is annoying, its not as annoying as getting kicked from the game almost instantly by a mori. They dont give you a chance to enjoy the game. And for the playstyle comment I get what ur saying. I usually play fairly aggressively as survivor. I don't try to hide from the killer, if they find me Ill run them, but if they dont ill be doing gens. The fact is that if I run a killer, chances are they will down me eventually. Things like bloodlust make that an almost gaurentee if they commit. (not objecting to bloodlust, its a needed mechanic) Obviously some killers decide im not worth their time so they leave me after a chase but usually they commit until they catch up. This is usually fine by me. They catch me and hook me, its part of the game, but when theres a mori in play, I have to avoid that or im dead after im unhooked. I need to play stealthy or i will 100% die, just like if you are dead on hook you try to avoid another chase. Moris get rid of half the objective for the killer, while survivors dont have an offering that reduces the number of generators to be repaired. I get that keys are still in the game, but if everyone is alive then the survivors still need to finish all the gens before the hatch spawns. Keys can also be easily countered. if you see someone in the lobby with a key, put on franklins. easy as that. If you dont have frankins then just tunnel the person with the key. Thats what happens to me every time I use a key, im tunneled instantly.
Sorry about the late reply btw, not been on the forums much recently.

Sorry, but what rank killer are you? Because as someone that has been a rank 1 killer, I don't care at all about the pressure from someone being on a hook. I immediately turn away from the hook and start pressuring anyone that's trying to work on gens. When someone is taken off hook I'll loop around back and find someone to chase, but for the most part I worry about gens. If someone takes someone off in front of my face I smack the person they unhooked and leave them down--if they have BT, I don't care, because now they have to go somewhere and mend while I chase their unhooker or I circle the gens they favor the most again.
Rank 1 my guy but rank 1 killer is hardly a flex at this point. I think you have completely ignored everything I have said or you just arent a good killer. Pressure of someone being on a hook is a vital part of this game, the difference of 3 people being on a gen and 1 person on a gen. I bet with this attitude you get gen rushed a lot. You cant "for the most part i worry about gens" because then you miss out on everything else. The whole point of map pressure is to get people off gens so if all you are doing is pushing people off gens instead of securing people off gens the people are just going to get right back on the gen. You need to give the survivors incentive to not do the objective to stop them. Simply chasing them a bit will not suffice, they need the altruism as an incentive. Chasing them away will only result in them either going down, and with your attitude they will just get off the hook straight away, or getting away and finding a new gen, and in the time you were chasing them someone else popped the gen you were protecting. I struggle to understand how someone who doesnt understand this basic part of the game gets to rank 1.

My mistake about the terror radius, but I can agree with 4.4m/s. I main spirit and she is manageable with that but the 7% reduction is too much, it takes way too long to catch up.

What are you talking about? 'I deserved that hook' you GOT the hook. Just because someone took them down immediately doesn't negate that you GOT the hook. The optimal way to score is to have every survivor go on hook 3 times. There's no need to tunnel/camp you WANT survivors to take other survivors off hook so you can hook them again later.
I'm gonna intentionally mistake the aggression in that for passion.
I don't think you read me properly. As I have replied before to someone else here, wasting survivors time is more important than points. If someone takes someone off the hook within seconds of me hooking them then there is now 3 people off doing their own thing and one person in a chase. If this idea doesnt go through (which it wont btw) then I would have 1 person on a hook, potentially a second person in a chase and the other two on gens with one of them possibly going for the save. Do you see what I'm saying here? Instead of having 3 people on gens, I would have 1 which is an essential aspect of this game. Map pressure is the only way a killer can win against any team with half a brain and this idea would completely remove all map pressure. So when I say "I deserved that hook" im not talking about my hook bloodpoints, I'm talking about the pressure. Camping killers is annoying, I play survivor too it really sucks, but when have you ever come across a camping killer that won? Unless you literally fed yourself to the killer then the killer wont win. Gens get done in that 2 minutes they are on the hook. At good ranks, camping never happens unless people are trying to derank and are being dicks about it so this addition would completely unbalance this game. So when you say "just because someone took them down immediately doesn't negate that you GOT the hook." you are wrong. I got the points, but that means nothing.

But you still get a full stage down and the next hook they'll be on struggle so you still get something out of hooking them.
Yeah, but wasting as much of the survivors time as possible is key for a killer, and if one person is on a hook and ur chasing another, there can only be 2 people doing gens, usually 1 due to one person saving. This is an essential part of the game, and this idea would completely remove that. The survivor losing a stage on teh hook literally means nothing. At high ranks, killing survivors on second hook is fairly common if you apply enough pressure so it means nothing. It would make killer unenjoyable, and the only strat I can see being viable against this is slugging which no survivors enjoy playing against. Have you ever heard of people saying they are putting pressure on the survivors? Its a base element of this game and your suggestion would remove it completely.

I love the idea of a deranged prison guard like an alternate universe Brad Bellick (I hope someone gets that reference) but Im hoping the next map will be outside, its been a minute since we have had an outdoor map. Maybe a prison map with 2 maps in it, the cell block and the courtyard, get both indoor and outdoor. Courtyard may be hard to do with prisons generally having a very open courtyard but I think leaving it to nature for a few decades could make it a viable map.
-
Absolutely not. Its already frustrating when im playing killer, I hook someone after a chase and someone just comes infront of my face and farms that survivor and they have borrowed time. I deserved that hook and this is where I hear the phrase tunneling the most. If I have a strategical advantage to go the the person just off the hook, then Im gonna go for them. I deserved that hook, they are injured and the game is easier for me if there are less survivors in the game. If I were to go for them after I had found someone else and I just gave up on the chase I was in to kill the person from the hook, that would be tunneling. However, if someone saves them while im still around and not after anyone else, I know where the person from the hook is, so why would I not go after them? Im a killer, im trying to win. Its not tunneling if your the only person I find. Sorry, rant over lmao. My point is that if this was a default game mechanic then I would spend a while chasing someone down, hooking them and then a healthy survivor just unhooking them in my face. I can't do anything about it, both of them can take 2 hits, meaning I have to do another chase for my hook just for it to be done again. I know as survivor it is annoying to be farmed by a useless teammate, I play a lot of survivor aswell as killer, but from my killer point of view this idea would be incredibly unbalanced. It would make every chase very unrewarding and in the process making killer way less enjoyable. I would like to see a perk where you get borrowed time on yourself if you are unhooked so you dont have to rely on a teammate having it, but I would probably quit the game if I saw borrowed time as a default game mechanic.
-
I like him, he is great fun to play and play against but his hit box is annoying especially on indoor maps, you get stuck on things and waste your slam and lose the survivor. If that’s fixed I’ll like him more. On maps like lerys and Hawkins it’s near impossible to 4K though cus there just isn’t enough space for him to run, he turns too slow for that. His power is decent on outdoor maps but if you get an indoor map playing him then it’s game over. I can see a lot of killer DCs coming from that. I think if his turning is buffed and his hit box fixed he would be more viable. Only other complaint is his height. For someone who moves so fast, it’s already easy to lose track of a survivor, but when you add his height, or lack thereof, you lose survivors way to easily. Maybe just slightly increasing his height would make him a bit easier. His power is balanced apart from turning and hit boxes, but I don’t really see him being very common in high ranks.

And if you're slugged, 30 second timer resumes?
I would say so yes. Slugging is a genuine strategy and if your team is any good they will get you back up while the killer goes for someone else. Slugging is a risky play for killers already.
-
Sounds like it could be annoying, using your quick and quiet on a chest, but I can sorta see the benefits
-
Copy and pasting this from a comment I made on another DS post:
I think Scott Jund almost nailed it. His idea was DS last for a much shorter time, like 30 seconds after being unhooked. If you are in a chase then the timer does not go down, it could last all game as long as you are always in a chase. If you touch a gen, get in a locker, touch a totem, heal a teammate or any action like that at all, DS deactivates. However, since this would make DS an anti tunneling perk only, I think a longer stun time or even better, a speed boost for the survivor during that stun time, would make DS better as it is only possible to use this to stop a tunneler. This way the perk can't be used offensively. It only works if that survivor is being genuinely tunneled otherwise it will have deactivated, and it gives the survivor the time and/or speed to get away. Mix this with quick and quiet or dance with me or a similar perk and the survivor is saved from the tunnel with no way for the perk to be abused. If anyone can find a flaw in this, let me know cus I would like to see it. This seems like the perfect way for DS to work.
-
MMR be gone my guy, but I cant say the same lmao ive had nothing but brown rank while im at rank 1

Ive had nothing but toxic facecamping rnak 18 clowns, turned this off already lmao

voice chat in a party may work but if there is voice chat between all survivors then the game will be ruined. It would become part of the game to communicate with your team like that, and I personally would stop playing due to the angry 13 year old claudettes telling me to take agro for them so they do totems or some #########. Party chat is a yes, survivor chat is a ######### no lmao no way, just give me points and waves im happy with that.

honestly ur right cheetocultleader, just a relaxing game with one or two friends can really make the game better. stop thinking about ranks and bloodpoints for a bit and just enjoy the game

If you are referring to me, I answered his post and also pointed out how biased his view was by just mentioning those perks and how they do worse than noed. All totem perks are useless at top tier. I do understand how they can become a problem in lower tiers, but that's not a balance issue, that's a skill issue
honestly not sure who im referring to lmao. I spend most of my time at rank 1 survivor, they are still a problem a lot of the time. And I dont like cleansing all the totems, they are a pain to find and noed can have 5 totems while all other hex's get one. maps like lerys getting all 5 totems could add a good 10 mins onto your game. Maybe even if the totem for noed wasnt lit, it is still set to one totem, so if it is cleansed and 4 other totems remain, it doesnt activate. the survivors would have no idea if they cleansed it or not but it would add an element of luck for the survivors rather than just a fat ######### you from the killer. Sometimes, getting all 5 totems is easy, but usually thats just not possible. Not to mention you have to give your location away 5 times in one game to avoid getting insta downed... hardly seems fair.
-
I personally love the idea of a give up button. Say after 30 seconds or a minute or whatever of being on the ground you have the option to give up. Being slugged is so boring but sadly it is a genuine strategy. You are very likely to get a 4k if you adopt this strategy, so why make the survivor watch? I get your a killer and all but it is a video game, let us have fun lmao. I know that suicides are very annoying but sometimes its just gotta happen. A lot of people wont press that button cus they havent lost hope, but when theres 3 people on the ground and one person runs the killer for ages, those slugs get bored. Let us play the next game.
-
I would reccomend running mindbreaker if you encounter this a lot, that does pretty much exactly what u asked for but its on gens, when they get off gens they get exhaustion until they stop running for a few seconds. Great counter to perks like sprint burst, easy way to guard gens against it. As for your traps, use a scarred hand. gives ur traps collision so they get stuck on it. sure, u cant teleport but they probs waste their sprint burst trying to run past your trap and you can get there if you are close enough
-
I know the "just do bones" idea comes up a lot, but since noed is so goddamn powerful, I think it should be a lit totem throughout the match. Not only will this make it more fair on survivors who have managed to do all 5 gens, it also gives a massive incentive to cleanse totems, making haunted grounds an even better perk. Another possible idea would be that the killer has to have a certain amount of chase points and a few hooks for it to activate. If the killer hasn't hooked anyone in the trial, then why do they get a free kill or two with noed? They havent earned it. However, if they have two or three hooks already then maybe they are worthy of a few kills and noed becomes active at the end of the game. Its the most annoying thing when you run a killer for 3 gens then finish the last few gens without the killer getting a single hook just for noed to pop and I get facecamped for their bloodpoints, despite me fully earning those escape points. Its straight up robbery, something needs to change. Noed is worse than moris imo, yeah the killer is playing the game with one less perk but they could get kills running only noed, it doesnt matter what else they run. Ik that mod said its balanced but nah thats just not true. They are running with one less perk but in the end that last perk appears and just ends the game needing 0 skill.
Also im fully aware that there are survivor perks like unbreakable and ds that just need to be changed. I play both killer and survivor so im not just being entitled here, but this is a post about noed, not ds.
-
tf u for real? they reverted it... im at rank 3 rn and im still getting rank 18 teammates and killers...
-
Not a fan tbh. While I do play the game just to have fun and not to sweat, I really do enjoy getting my rank up. It gives me something to work towards and if I depip due to fair reasons (not facecamping and moris etc) then its a gg and move on to the next, but if there is a seperation between ranked and unranked, that wont be possible. Only the sweats and people like me will play ranked while all the casual players move to unranked. The people like me will stop enjoying the game as much because we can't casually rank up without getting sweated on or being yelled at in the post match chat. Yeah I know people get mad in post match chat but compared to ######### like league and valorant, people don't get nearly as angry in dbd. Making ranked games their own seperate thing would cause that, sending dbd down a dark path of competition. The main reason I play games like dbd is because I don't like the competitive aspect of other games. Please don't ruin this <3
-
I agre with you 100%. People did ######### and moan about the old ranking system, which I will admit I played a part in that too, but MMR is not the way to go. However, nothing we say will change this really. Look at the feedback and suggestions page and try to find just one single post where a dev has made a reply. They dont listen to us so I think MMR is here to stay.
-
it would be nice to see but people like me would never play it as they would take up too much of the screen. I already only play the slim and short characters like nea and meg so that I can see more around me, as people like david and ash take up too much space. But yeah, we have jane and jeff who arent skinny.

Lol no it wouldnt you would get randos just throwing hatchets through lerys and getting randoms hits all the time.
A nightmare lol
it could be fun if it had 1 bounce and only could carry like 2/3 hatchets at once so she cant waste them like that
-
yeah thats the idea. You still leave bloodtrails, you can still use perks like dead hard, you still go down after 1 hit (unless u have borrowed time or something similar), you just just look healthy. If the speed boost idea is added for this then it probs wont work too well with sprint burst but u cant win them all
-
spirit could still see your scratch marks when in phase walk but yeah i see your point. this perk on its own is nothing special but like most perks, if you find the right perks you can make a good build. I also like the idea of trading the reduced grunts for a temporary speed boost.

"For those who disagree, I'm not going to indulge your selfishness."
This is the most selfish thing I've seen here yet. You're basically saying that your point is absolute and anyone who has a counter point is wrong. Okay. Shut up and listen.
Point 1. What if my internet goes down? My internet is nothing I'm going to boast about. There have been many games where I have been enjoying myself and my internet dies. I'm at rank 1 now so I really don't care too much about my rank, but when I derank due to something that does not reflect my skill, it does hurt a little. What your suggesting would completely ruin the game for people having internet issues, as they have to A) lose their rank that they may have been working to get for multiple days. When I was starting off, getting from rank 11 to rank 10 was hard. I wasn't very good at the time and when I did get the rank 10 I felt a great sense of acomplishment. If my internet had died in the enxt game and I went all the way back to the start of rank 11 I would possibly have rage quit. B) My wifi is back up, but I still have to wait a full 15 minutes just to play again. I just lost a rank due to my internet going down, I'm not happy about it but to add insult to injury I have to sit and watch a timer. How fun. So yeah, this is just not fair to people who are already having a rough time.
Point 2. Smurfing. This new system will make getting from rank 1 to rank 15 easy af. 15 games, join and leave. Put on a movie and do it in the background. 15 minute wait, no problem. I wan't to mess with some new killers so lets go do it. The current system punishes DCers enough to deter it slightly, but still not make DCing worth it. The amount of games you need to join and leave is just too much to be worth it. Your suggestion changes that. Yeah, no.
Point 3. Can you tell me 1 genuine thing wrong with the current system? I think in my life playing DBD I have DC'd around 5 times due to being tunneled back to back and my patience is just gone. I'm not proud of it but I have done it. One of the main reasons I don't DC on toxic killer though, is that I don't want to lose my pips and have a cooldown. As I said, my rank means little to me now, but I do like being at rank 1 as I believe its where I'm getting the fairest and most fun games.
Your suggestion is unfair and unbalanced, and I would word this whole thing slightly nicer but you didn't show the same courtesy, so yeah, nah <3

lol, how is it easier without ruin, interrupts rarely work, and now auras are fugged. Sure, you can't get rid of exhaustion while running, but that was a fix they said. They also said that the infinite loops they changed were broken, and were fixed. The new loops aren't much weaker than the former, it's just that you can actually catch a survivor if you decide to chase them around the loop for 2 minutes.
this is why you need to mind game. You either outsmart them into throwing down the pallet and breaking the "infinite" or you move on. Its part of being a killer that you have to decide if a chase is worth your time. Theres no infinites anymore. On no maps is there a place where it is physically impossible for a killer to catch a survivor. All the "infinites" that exist now also have pallets, so just leave if someone is using an infinite and mind game someone into throwing down the pallet while not running the infinite. Dbd does not need a survivor nerf, it needs entitled killers to stfu lmao. Killers have moris, stop complaining xD.
I do play killer as much as I play survivor so anyone pulls the "entitled survivor" card here u can piss off <3
-
Yeah ive seen this idea everywhere, and I would love to see it. However, have you seen Bug By Daylight? lmao the devs have a lot on their plate with one gamemode so making a second one to work on at the same time sounds either really hard or really expensive, or both. No hate to you devs lmao
-
I dont play pyramid head but when i play against him i find him one of the most balanced killers... theres a clear auditory warning for his power so you just have to be unpredictable and hide behind stuff. Chances are he will give up on his power or just miss you if you play it right. If you cant hide behind anything then he was probs gonna hit you anyways, he just used his power instead for those tasty bloodpoints. as for the tornment stage stuff, does it really matter? how many times can you say you have wiggled off his shoulder? I prefer going to the gulag cus I could spawn right next to a teammate and be freed instantly. The mini mori doesnt bother me either, it just lets me leave the game quicker when I go down for the third time. You arent gonna wiggle off so why complain lmao. Honestly, the torment stage doesnt matter at all so trying to bait people into it is purely for fun, it literally doesnt matter.
-
Im a fan of this, but theres a few changes id make. First, the 10 seconds to get someone out of the bush seems too high to me, especially if they only get 30 seconds in the upside down in total. I think the short unhook time that was used to hooks and cages should stay the same as its a huge deterrance already for rescuing teammates when you need to go into the upside down to get them out. Secondly, id say around a minute in the upside down sounds fair, but if they stay over that, instead of immediately putting them in a bush, return them to the overworld in the injured state, and if they are already injured then give them the deep wound state or the broken state. If theres an automatic way of getting a survivor hooked/bushed then the game could technically be won after hooking/bushing one survivor without even hitting the rest of them. Other than that, despite being a survivor main, I would love to see this implemented. Demogorgon is one of the easiers killers to counter right now and it does not do the demogorgon from the show justice. This could also create loads of new opportunities for the devs when they make new killers, with the idea of a new dimention being possible.
-
I posted something about this a few hours ago and I think you have nailed it. One of your last points confuses me though as the hatch doesnt spawn until the number of survivors + 1 of all the generators are repaired, so with all 4 survivors alive the hatch wont even spawn until all 5 gens are done so needing half the gens to be done doesnt seem needed. But yeah, I love this.
-
that could balance it to an extent but if your a rank 1 killer... then the survivor is gonna die lmao
-
yes please lets put this game back a few years to the good old days of bs and rage =)
-
I played against a trapper on ormond recently. I managed to get trapped only once. He complained about not finding any traps throughout the whole game kinda sucks for him. He also revealed that I stepped in the only trap he placed in the whole game so yeah im a potato
-
Im a fan of the cypress mori change and the ivory is fine imo but the ebony change you talk of just sounds like the same as a tombstone piece, just a little less op. Not a huge fan of that but its progress, much better than the current one lmao
-
dont fix what aint broke or this stuff happens lmao
-
No no no, I dont think its bad so to say, but I think that if something that is near impossible (not impossible but exceptionally hard) to avoid then people shouldn't derank for it. I know its fun to play as killer with a tombstone piece or a mori, but since they are perks that move the goalposts, then why arent the pip goalposts moving with it?
-
I agree with you on everything except ur statement on killers earning their stuff the same as survivors, I dont think a toolbox really compares to a mori lmao but yeah u make a good point and I think theres a lot of people who need to read this
