Are you having the same complaints about Executioner? Because he can do all that, too.
Judgement power creeps Pyramid Head perhaps harder than any other killer has ever been power crept. Much more generous range on the attack, allowing for map-wide snipes, can turn freely while aiming the power and most importantly you always inflict the status effect on hit meaning you can and always should send them to Exile, which makes tunneling much easier. In addition, Pyramid Head sends survivors to the other side of the map, while Judgement only activates the shrines close to where they downed and Exiled survivors, which means you force the "unhook" into a high traffic area where generators are still being worked on.
-
It's a fair idea but 99% of the people complaining about Anonymous Mode do so just because they want to harass people, and this alteration would not enable them to harass people so they will continue to complain.
-
Hard tunneling is how the game is meant to be played. Why do you think the devs just made three killers in a row who all have mini-moris that bypass Decisive Strike, two of which get their mini-mori completely for free and are basically guaranteed to be able to use it? This is a feature, not a bug.
-
It's not the worst state for killer ever, it's the worst balance between killers ever. Nearly every killer added in the last couple years has been A tier and does just fine in the current meta, and if your killer isn't A tier, well, too bad, it's the worst it's been since the 2010s. This is why, when you play survivor, you have to play about 30-50 matches to get matched against a mere B tier killer.
-
Silent Hill is the only one I'd be actively excited for, but I think they've already used up the best second survivor with Hinako. Dungeons & Dragons has the most potential for a second chapter, but I'm not a huge fan of the IP.
-
It basically boils down to whether the tables spawn near the morsels. In the average match where the killer has someone hooked and another injured within 30 seconds of the match starting, before I can even make it to the central generators, I don't really have time to haul 4 morsels all by myself halfway across the map.
-
Second chance perks don't exist anymore and haven't for years.
-
This doesn't accomplish anything. You get injured, the killer continues to go for the death hook survivor and downs them 10 seconds later, and now they're dead and you're injured.
-
At the highest level of play it is survivor sided, but that requires 4 players in a party communicating as well as being highly skilled with the best loadouts. This is very rare. In a regular match with the average survivor group the game isn't survivor or killer sided because killers don't really exist. Nurse and Skull Merchant are not playing the same game. Killers like Jason are allowed to power creep half the roster.
-
I think the only serious problem with Ghoul at this point, beyond the fundamental poor design of hitscan injuries, are his Yamori's Mask and Red Centipede addons.
-
The perk still looks very useful to me. There are all sorts of situations in which a killer is searching an area and you need to run, but doing so will leave scratch marks. Now you run away using the killer's trail.
-
I had two emails with one code each. One offering 500k bloodpoints and the other offering the banner. Neither worked.
-
Evangelion. Horror-adjacent anime, which isn't something we've seen much of yet, with all of its possible killers being gigantic and needing shrinkage/My Little Oni treatment. Plus the likely killer would be another Kaneki situation, where they aren't actually a villain in their source material but are monstrous and have a tendency to go berserk. Not a difficult IP to get (it's one of the biggest collab harlots imaginable) but BHVR probably won't go for it. They've never put it on a survey.
-
With how obvious it is that Jason is coming to the game this year, probably for this anniversary, they really could have just tweeted it out. This is the kind of thing you do when you have a surprise Godzilla chapter.

Blown away that you have downvotes. I'm an older millennial and LOVE Star Wars, it has always been a big part of my life, but modern Star Wars is 100% merchandise advertising wrapped up as entertainment.
It's been that way since Return of the Jedi at least.
-
Nothing belongs in DBD until it is in DBD at which point it now belongs, because BHVR owns the game and they decide what fits and what doesn't. We aren't the gatekeepers, BHVR are. DBD used to only collaborate with slasher films, then it spread into videogames and still later horror-adjacent IPs like Castlevania and Dungeons & Dragons. Eventually we'll get an outright non-horror property that promises enough money, such as Star Wars.
DBD is barely a horror game these days without even factoring in its more recent collaborations, so I don't really care whether an incoming IP is horror or not, but I hope they prioritize major horror or horror-adjacent icons like Jason and Predator before they start filling the game with non-horror properties.
-
Evangelion rarely gets brought up when it comes to possible anime/manga chapters. As far as more overtly horror media goes, Clock Tower and System Shock are rarely requested, because they are pretty niche.
-
There are two reasons there are no meaningful Ghoul nerfs:
1: Ghoul is fundamentally poorly designed. A killer that injures you for free from a distance AND has great mobility is inherently unfair. They can't meaningfully nerf him without a total resdesign.
2: Survivors are currently the strongest they've been since at least 2019. The vast majority of killers are not viable and feel absolutely miserable to play. Ghoul provides people who do not have 20k hours in the game with the possibility of winning. Take that away and half the killer playerbase leaves permanently.
-
Ghoul is literally unbeatable. Not difficult, but actually impossible. Not because of their basekit, but because literally every single Ghoul match has them running a full hex build with Blood Favor and Thrill of the Hunt, with the Red Centipede addon. The result is that every window and pallet gets blocked with no counterplay, and once they hook someone everyone screams, interrupting the 10 year long totem cleansing animation they were performing at the time. Literally impossible to win. You would be lucky if you get a single gen done.
-
Evangelion. Anime is on the table now, and it has plenty of horror, but it's outlandish because the possible killers are kaiju sized so they'd need to shrink them to make it work. Maybe a Dredge-Nightfall mechanic that sends everyone to a different map (like the Grimoire killer), where the killer is allowed to be its proper size, for some My Little Oni inspired gameplay?
-
He needs numbers tweaks and an add-on rework. His design is fundamentally sound.
-
The game is so imbalanced now that in solo queue you already know the outcome the moment you determine which killer you're playing against.
-
I'd argue the shots are more random chance than skill, on both sides. Nevertheless, the killer is more about pre-running and looping tall, strong structures. You can't do much at filler tiles.
-
He's already overpowered and the personification of power creep, one of the worst designed killers in the game. He doesn't need buffs.
-
Real screamers were playing Lisa Garland anyway.
-
Probably mid tier, maybe very high mid tier against a strong SWF. His counter is to spread out, pre-run, use sprint burst to stay away, and go down in corners of the map to exploit his situational mobility and minimize the danger of his very strong chase power. Basically the same counter as Nurse, though he isn't as strong as her. He'll completely stomp solo queue though.
-
If they want to nerf him, rather than increasing his cooldown they should instead make clocks more powerful, taking him out of Worldbreaker faster, removing Worldbreaker tokens from survivors up to a point. Instead of being able to attack less often he would need to land more hits to win.
-
I stopped playing survivor when over half of my matches ended up being against Blight. I only play for challenges with loot locked behind them. Other than that, I pretend the role doesn't exist and am a pure killer main. Kneecap Blight and I may come back.
-
I've seen more blatantly cheating survivors this year than all past years put together and I've been playing on and off since the game launched. Can't go a single day without having at least one match ruined. Often it's the first match of the day.
-
Don't know where people are getting the idea that 2v8 is survivor sided. Are you going up against Ghostface and Trapper duos or something?
-
@ReverseVelocity said:
That's wild that they tried to sneak that in as a "bug fix".
It doesn't bode well for the concept of transparency from BHVR.
They've been doing this for years.
-
Yes, he's right. Why else would they double the pallets on maps with this patch?
-
The game is entirely designed for 4 man parties at this point. If you're playing solo queue, the game is not actually for you.
-
Winning in solo queue is virtually impossible, the sort of thing that happens 1 in 50 matches if you are lucky. Haddonfield has a 1/3 pick rate, over half of the killer playerbase exclusively plays Blight (I don't care what Nightlight says, there are five Blights for every 1 Springtrap, Ghoul and Wesker combined). It has gotten to the point where I just associate Blight's terror radius as the default and am confused when I hear the standard one you'd expect for a killer like Trapper. You go into every match knowing you'll not even come close to winning and you need to dedicate your entire build to anti-tunnel just to play a 1v4.

That’s not true at all. If you can show me video of you playing 5 matches in a row, and that happens every single time, then let’s talk again. I’ve been playing for a long time and I don’t see killers camping and tunneling every single match. Not even close. Even if it was half of matches, which it isn’t in my experience, that would be way far off from what you are claiming about it happening 100% of the time.
There's a reason my survivor build doesn't even have an exhaustion perk because I'm just running 4 anti-tunnel and anti-camp perks.

Yeah - I’ve had my fair share of matches where that was the case. Useless teammates are definitely by far the worst part of solo queue.
It's virtually every match. And it especially hurts because every single killer these days - and I do mean every single one, without exception or exaggeration - camps and tunnels for a first kill at 3 hooks.

I’m not a god looper (I mean, look at my name) and I do ok for myself (43% escape rate). You don’t have to be a pro. Just knowing how to run basic tiles, where strong structures/pallets/windows are, and how to mind game a little bit is really all you need to be a decent survivor player. Remember that you’re not meant to run the killer indefinitely. I’m happy if teammates are able to run the killer a good 30-60 seconds before getting downed. Plenty of time for others to make good progress on gens.
It's solo queue. People aren't doing gens. You can run the killer for 10 minutes and it won't do any good.
-
I don't play survivor outside of challenges anymore. I don't see the point in playing a game in which I'm guaranteed to lose a minimum of 50 times between each victory. Granted, killer is almost unplayable now too, because I'm mostly getting 4 man teams with anywhere from 4000 to 10000 hours. Just saw a lobby where the steam profiles showed 2 10k hour players and noped out.
-
For plausible yet unlikely licensed killers, I'd say The Thing. We'd have it by now if not for gameplay reasons.
For original killers, I'd like a grey alien based on abduction stories and conspiracies.
-
Isn't the entire point of the Kill Switch functionality that it is easy to do and can be applied to anything on the back-end without the need for a patch? This means something doesn't need to be game breaking to be Kill Switched. Anything even remotely bugged should be disabled unless it's some shiny new paid character that they can't afford to disable.
-
Why do people keep saying that Ghoul has scamper? You can just not throw the pallet if they have their tentacles out, or not move away from the pallet/window if they've already leapt once.
-
Not boring but infuriating. Zips around the map injuring you for free and putting you into deep wound. You can loop him…except he isn't chasing you. He's injuring everyone else for free and then using his mobility to catch you with your pants down and trying to force a pallet drop as quickly as possible…before leaving you. Then once everything is softened up it is slugging time. Safe hook saves are also impossible because he can zoom back and stun the rescuer with his power and then go in for the M1. And when it's down to one generator left, almost anything is a 3-gen against Ghoul, and they can play hit-and-run, putting you into deep wound without needing to invest time, hounding everyone back and forth until someone makes a mistake and then the slugging begins. They seem to have designed this killer around the idea that the player would completely ignore macro play and just chase people one by one. It's actually a pretty fun killer when that happens.
I'll still take him over Nurse though.
-
Killer is extremely easy right now as long as you aren't playing against high end, coordinated teams. Or playing a low-tier killer. Almost impossible for solo queues to win. This is of course assuming you aren't "playing nice". I think the recent changes to survivor spawn logic play a big role in it. You get a lot of near guaranteed early game pressure now that didn't exist before. I don't even feel any urge to use Lethal Pursuer anymore.
-
The stats are fake. I escape significantly less than 10% of the time but it would have me believe it is over 40%.
-
Miserable killer built for camping and tunneling. Power that theoretically has a high skill ceiling but is just used to zone you in the most boring way possible. And the power is entirely derivative of earlier killers. He's not overpowered or anything though.
-
I'm only fatigued because I'm not a fan of any of the recent licenses. You wouldn't hear me complaining when we were getting Alien and Chucky back-to-back. Definitely looking forward to the original chapter in September more than anything else. Fortunately the licensed chapters are generally well executed so I can still have fun with them.
-
They can't even be bothered to let you just walk around the map as a survivor, learning the map. You have to do timed bot matches as a killer instead.

They should add a sound cue for doors facing away. But for the reasons stated, im gonna disagree with you on him having a good chase power. Its just a weaker huntress, simple as that.
Is he a weaker Huntress, or an Unknown who only needs to hit once to do damage?

He can only teleport to set locations at gens. There's tells at every single door he teleports to. Learn them. Run away. It's not hard.
Well, not for decent players anyway.
You can't tell if he's coming from a door unless it's right in front of you with the panel clearly visible. And if he goes to the next door over, he can walk over with Undetectable. Now, you'll hear him walking, but you won't be able to get far unless you have Sprint Burst, and unlike every other stealth killer he actually has a pretty fearsome chase power.

Tunneling is part of the game and is never going anywhere. By adding more perks to counter it, like Shoulder the Burden, the practice has only become further embedded into the game's fundamentals. And the newest killer is one of the best tunnelers ever.
