I've been playing since a little after the Clown chapter, which isn't as long as Dead Hard has been around, but still for a decent while, and I primarily play Killer. Never once in my time playing has someone Dead Harded into me to save another Survivor. And never in any of the Tru3/Otz videos have I seen someone do the same. So please show me a video of this.
i dont need to do anything. it happens. and happens frequently. the higher the rank you go the more frequent.
so no. i do not have to do anything for you. because i am lazy and you can do it yourself!
have a grrrrreat day
EDIT soul guard too, forgot about that one!!!! and y'all want charges on DS......
-
lets be real. instilling fear in the 'killer' dont think is the intention of the DEVs at all
and is quite honestly. the other way around

I want to see a video of someone dive bombing the Killer with a Dead Hard to save someone else. Because I've never ever seen that happen before.
it doesnt take much.... get on google and do a search. Tru and Otz will be your prime source of material.
OR you can just play the game. Survivors do this all the time, anywhere from gutter rank to red rank

What is "properly using their resources" in this case?

to be fair, nothing is going to stop a determined gamer that wants you dead, DS at the very least lets you waste more of the killers time, which is what it was supposed to do
survivor body blocking. breaking hooks you were b-lining for. using items.
the resources of a survivor.........
No one will change my mind on this. As DS is in an ok place right now. giving it a second charge. is just plain stupid
EDIT chasing for more than 30-40 seconds is BAD. giving 4 survivors with 2 charges of DS, will make chases last way longer than a minute if you were to tunnel
EDIT 2 by that time. half the generators will have been completed
EDIT 3 and thats not to say, another survivor steps in the way with a DEAD HARD , and continues the chase for more minutes

But if you don’t tunnel it won’t effect you.
wrong...... as the survivors will ALL get 2 DS. Making it near impossible for a killer to even get one hook if survivors properly use their resources!!!!!
This happens now, without your obvious overpowered want. If this change were to ever happen, it would ruin the game without some way for the killer to counteract it

Ever since DS got it’s rework I’ve still been using it as I normally have. What I have noticed is that not only does it work in less situations now (which is totally fair) Killers really doesn’t respect it much anymore.
Most the time I have DS the killer will pick me and I’ll use it. If it’s a killer who can end chases short say spirit or slinger I’m down in the next 30 or so seconds. Then my DS is gone. If I get unhooked again that killer has free reign to just tunnel me immediately again.
In my opinion DS should activate on both hook stages regardless of if you’ve used it or not. If you need to nerf it agin for compensation you could remove it’s ability to be used during endgame collapse. This way it punishes tunnelling more but for the people who don’t tunnel this buff doesn’t matter
I just feel like current DS doesn’t really do enough to stop tunnelling considering you need to use a perk slot to get it’s effect.
Tell me what you think!

Yeah..... Only if you dont ever want to play again. Because no one will willingly put them self through that much torture, trying to play a video game. To. Have. Fun. I for one, already find way to many things annoying and obnoxious to deal with as killer.

Bueller?
I have been looking all over the web, and have not found anything. If anyone has some info on this, please pass it along

False!... Bears... Beets... Battle Star Gallatica
Im not sure how much more clear I can be
-
Picture this......
You are the last survivor. Killer just found you. Killer gets a down on you. Hooks you. You attempt to break free. SUCESS! But wait... The killer was watching you from 5ft away the entire time!!!! Downs you 10 ft from hook. Hooks you again. Enjoy your struggle points?
I hope this exercise enlightens you as to why the game design is the way it is

Yes, it does. You said it yourself, a lot of the time the killer will ignore you and chase someone else. So, the weakest on the SWF is the tbagger. The killer ignores them and chases the other 3, who are a lot better at looping, while the tbagger does the gens.
Alternatively, it makes the killer tunnel one survivor specifically. In which case, result. The killer tunneling one person out of the game, through BT + DH + DS? That's easily enough time to get 5 gens done and escape against any killer but Nurse, Spirit, or an absolute God at DBD in general.
So, yeah, there's actually a lot of merit in it for the psychological effects it has on killer players.
False. Bears. Beets. Battle Star Galltica

LOL I got accused of camping the generators recently too!
Of all the horrendous things I've heard from survivors while playing this game this was the most pathetic.
Don't let them tell you how to play the game.
Tunnel. Camp. Slug. Whatever playstyle is fun for you. They'll literally complain about ANYTHING and EVERYTHING.
I have to admit.... I have played both Doctor, and Trapper. With the sole intention of doing jump scares and slugging.
If they manage to open the door. I will still slug them, but force them to crawl to safety.
I. Am. Truly. Evil.

What rank are you?
Also camping gens isn't a thing, just something made-up. You're patrolling gens which is what a killer has to do to prevent survivors from doing objectives. You're fine, don't worry!
rank 9. Moving up. I dont want more SWF's! =(
Bad enough run into red ranks when your at 15

Clearing cache didn't do anything to improve my performance for ps4. I've had several situations where I've had to do what would clear the cache (power off/remove cord) without trying to clear the cache. I moved so cord was not plugged into ps4 while it was packed up and my husband had to use cord for his ps4 few times when his was misplaced in move - these situations should've cleared the cache. I was still getting fps drops from triggers in the game.
you need to use a wired internet connection. anything else you will continue to have this problem.
I know IT, i understand you didnt do this because the process, and distance SUCK. Trust me. Its a PAIN in the butt to get it setup correctly. But you need to do it correctly otherwise the same thing will continue to happen, until you do

While I disagree with most of your post, you bring up a valid point about the cache, often overlooked on console. I'll address that.
Since on Xbox1 you cannot go into settings or options to empty the cache out, we have to play with the power cords and power button to do it.
1. Press power button to turn the console off.
2. Unplug power cord from back of console and from the outlet. Must do both. Wait 1min.
3. Plug back in power cord. Wait 1min. Power on console.
The original Xbox1 gives a tiny white light to indicate cache is clear. My Xbox1x and the S won't indicate shyttt unfortunately.
A quick Google search will give the steps for our PlayStation and Switch cousins.
just gotta say. you both disregarded any and all advice, just to argue.
try the advice. before tossing it in the garbage. 20 years of IT support here.
also. bug report. not general discussion. you will be lead down the same path i lead you
Im out

Doesn't do squat for me either, but nothing wrong with putting the steps out there.

Console Online Play(& downloading) and wireless internet do not jive together. At all. As i stated earlier. Use a wried connection. This I guarantee you is the problem. Console manufacturers do not put the best stuff in their console, to keep the price down for consumers. Wireless receivers are the ones that get hit the hardest.
I would HIGHLY recommend you play with a wired connection if at all possible.
-
this looks like pure latency(MS drop) between you. The internet server. and DbD server.
I have put in over 80 hours in the last two weeks into this game. My fps on PC (cross platform engaged) and never dropped below 60fps. Cheaters, sure. But optimization issues? No, unless its the unbearably long loading times
-Try cleaning out cache folders (i would give steps, but i don know them for this game) every game has a cache folder to empty)
-Using a wired connection instead of wireless
-Shutting down and restarting modem
-Changing your IP address
-reinstalling the game
-
it is an event, an event that requires skill, skill that is being tested, thus your skill is being checked
If you have a cutscene and all of a sudden you are in control DURING this scene. That would require Quick Reactions. Timing. Limited Event.
These two are somewhat similar, but also completely different. Hence the different ways to call them

I can say for certain. This is still a thing. I played killer yesterday, and this same exact scenario played out.
I had three gen's left. Close by so I could patrol them. Gen's were at 0% progress, I hit a survivor, doors unlock. I did report the survivors.
i have a feeling nothing will be done, as this thread alone is almost a year old, and the problem is still present.
Maybe I should make a youtube video, recreate this. That way EVERYONE does it so it gets fixed
