You should take a break. During that break just watch info videos no DbD. You need basic game knowledge.
At the end of the game you will get medals for each survivor category. The game expects you to do generators as well as chases for example. You can't just do generators, you need to learn how to loop to.
Here's a streamer doing a 15 escape streak. https://www.twitch.tv/videos/711281877
So... solo survivor its possible. You just need to .. GIT GUD

No. it will save progress

Because they win pretty much only with him. Bunch of slow downs, teleport, bloodlusting with snares.
The most easiest and rewarding killer to play if you know the basics.
Go play pallet freddy or pill bottle freddy against a good 4 SWF and let me know how it went...
@ op If a freddy blocks you its not toxic. Its just fun. You being trolled.
-
If they are on a 4 SWF playing as effective as they can you gotta play as effective as you can.
Meaning that you're going to make it clear that the first unhook must be a team effort. You can't allow them a free unhook while the other 2 keep doing gens. No, they gotta take their hands of the generators and help with the unhook.
From there you gotta snowball.
-
12 hours to do that challenge? Kinda hard to believe that. As healing survivors counts towards that challenge you know...?
Damm... ppl complain about everything. This game its +18 mature audience and it seems like its filled with call of duty kids.
-
You suck at the game you loose at the game. You wanna win at the game you'll need to get good at the game. I don't see anything wrong with that.
Here's an example on how to win as solo survivor.

welp- im a rank 17 killer so idk what to say, back to this trash system
The mmr its trash for new players. It always been like this. You gotta endure through it.
Stop caring about rank and practice. Practice one assassin that you prefer and other that you like and its top tier. As usually the survivors don't have much time to tea bag against those.
There are other techniques to deal with high level players on a SWF that you will know when you get more into the game. Things like:
- the 3 last gens should be close.
- if they are a 4 man SWF the first hook should be protected. Hooking close to those 3 last gens its just perfect.
- Mori.
And its easier to start into the game as a survivor.
-
yeh, sure...
by the way, there's plenty of topics on this matter. Use them. Don't need to open more topics about this.
-
Of course. Because of multiple reasons. ppl uploading or downloading at full speed. A device on the edge of the wireless signal trying to watch netflix for example. Being on wireless on the same channel as 10 other neighbors around you. You didn't reset your router in the past year. You have package loss on your connection...
Ton's of things can influence your ping.
-
One small note: - VPN connections will NEVER be faster.
-
I wouldn't mind, but the rules would change. Mori its a must, top addons are a must, sweaty builds are a must. I wouldn't be giving unhooks for free. Since their playing as a group they gotta do saves as a group.
-
Shhhhh... don't belive him. This is bait.
-
A vampire, a werewolf and a shape shifter. A killer who could shape shift into a survivor would be neat!!!

That is why i consider Freddy and Spirit as the most balanced killers in this game. Both killers are balanced against SWF groups but are broken against survivors in solo mode.
Freddy regression penalties have been nerfed. He's not as viable as he was before.
-
35 hours to reach red rank as survivor playing solo? You're so full of #########. lol
Just another troll guys, nothing to see here.
-
IMO the problem with the MMR was the disparity between ranks in a lobby.
- Don't mix reds with browns. Just lobbys with people with the same rank more or less. You can't throw 2 level 1 survivors and 2 level 20 survivors against a rank 10 killer.
- Take previous rank in consideration. If a person its rank 10, put it on rank 13's lobbys and start from there.
- Have 2 ranking systems. One when in SWF and another for solo.
We wanted the MMR system to fix two things: a better player experience and a ranking system to work for. I personally still want that. I hope they listen and make improvements on their MMR system.

@Pipefish said:
if I am running a mori and I see someone with DS I mori them after first hook since I personally find this perk toxic.
When i get tired of being spammed with mori i just use key. Easy life.
-
We have plenty of examples as it is. If the elo is on a scale of 2000 (rank 1) to 0 (rank 20), they should had taken previous rank into consideration, not everybody being reset to 0. Even better, take 200 to 300 of their rank and having them climbing up again. A rank 10 (1000 elo) should start with 700 MMR.
At the end this was to protect new people into the game for not playing experience people and being totally obliterated. Also every individual killer should have that elo pre calculated.
At the end, 2 red ranks and 2 level 20 its not a 4 vs 1. Its a 2 vs 1 from the start. And it proves nothing. The only person learning new things is the rank 20, on how to uninstall and hate the game. Apparently making lobbys only with people below rank 15 its too hard.

bro just turn around, what do you mean?
It's a joke, relax.
-
... because when killers go to grab a survivor next to a windows, they vault it. DUH!
totally balanced IMO lol

By practice being a survivor? If you play survivor at any rank you see how bad teammates are all the time, does not matter if they are red rank or not there is lots and lots of space for improvement everywhere. To ask for nerfs instead of focusing on learning the game is lazy and proves a loser mentality. A team of very good solo survivors will win against any killer, problem is it's very rare to get four very good survivors in a team, but that is not the killers fault.
You're dodging the question. How do you counter play her? I see high rank streamers saying that her problem is that she doesn't have counter play. I wanna know your tactics.
-
@DBD78 said:
Spirit don't need a nerf. Survivors need to learn how to play this game.
Teach us sensei. How do you counter her?

What meta perks would have changed the pallet situation? If anything the fact that he ran Brutal benefited him... Ruin wouldn’t help here because of the chase the other three coups have kept on gens. Even the old sporty fury/enduring combo wouldn’t have mattered to end the chase because he dropped them so early.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1513395#Comment_1513395
Yeah I don’t mean to imply Otz is the best, but he’s obviously pretty good as killer. Granted playing a weaker killer with meh addons as well. The main thing I wanted to talk about was how much of the killers time you can waste just by tossing pallets and holding W
The game its so broken on so many levels. Fun game though, but talking about balance its a joke. This is far from being an e-sport game.
-
That proves nothing. 3000 hours don't mean skill and otz doesn't use meta perks on killers.
-
I have been following some of the fog whisperers and i never heard them talk about giveaways. Having twitch drops would help the streamer and the game itself more then those giveaways IMO.
-
You gotta remember that you're the killer. You are in control. If they are ruining your fun you can turn things around by hooking him and face camp him. They will stop having fun.
Practice a S rank killer. If you see 4 ppl with flashlight in lobby bring him (not wraith or hag) with mori. Usually they are so busy trying to stay alive against a S rank killer that they even forget to tea bag. If they do... well... i find the mori animation really, really, really fun.
-
He's just a troll looking for attention.
-
For me the main difference its when survivors are SWF they tend to gen rush. While in solo ppl are just going for bloodpoints. They open chests, they cleanse totens just for the sake of the bloodpoints. Either take mori or dodge the queue.
-
New player experience its terrible. The matchmaking dosen't take in consideration your rank that much. Maybe it will be fixed in a near future. If you're playing with high rank friends you will be matched with high rank killers.
I found it easier to start playing with survivor and then trade for killer. Playing killer its far more difficult.
-
Every killer that will give them a 4 man escape. And even if you do, get ready to be tea bagged at pallets, at exit, and get flash-lighted against 4 swf on discord.
You will not have any fun. They will mock you to death.
-
Nah, it doesn't work. Either they are hurt or its just impossible to hear them. As for the grass moving, it dosen't work for most of the cases. Higher ground its needed and most of the time we are on the same level.
-
Thank you all for your answers. I though that the teleport to the traps made her a way better killer then freddy. Still need to try her first.
-
@DetailedDetriment said:
Freddy is braindead easy. His power can end chases in seconds since it has no counterplay.
You know what its brain dead easy? Offering to maps with tons of high grass and 4 swf with blendettes. Tell me how to play killer when you can't see ppl hidding in a dark map filled with vegetation.

@KillScreen not trying to argue. Just trying to find solution. I was letting you know that it was happening as soon as I was turning it on.
It only takes a couple of seconds to overheat.
Its been 7 years since you bought your console. Thermal paste and fans should be changed/cleaned every 2 to 3 years. I bet that even on other games the ps4 its really loud (like someone's vacuuming the room). No matter if its a fat or slim ps4, a clean ps4 should make close to no noise at all. You're reducing the ps4 life span by stressing the fans/gpu. We're talking about a 30€'s maintenance.
-
@KittyKat8689 said:
The console is not the issue. This does this as soon as I turn it on after it’s been off for hours. I’ve done some research and it looks like some high power PC and newer PS4 and Xbox models have this issue with just this game.
Take it or leave it. I'm not gonna argue with stubborn people.
-
Looks like you guys don't have a warranty anymore. It means that your console its overheating, the thermal paste its dry. Take your ps4 to a repair store and ask for the console to be cleaned and add new thermal paste. It will increase your ps4 life span.
-
Because new player experience its terrible. Level 20/19 being placed against high ranks. Nobody likes to be tea bagged in the first couple of matches.
-
Breathing and moving grass... damm...
Thanks for the help, gonna keep that in mind.
-
Buy PGTW with shards and farm more for legion.
-
Nhoooooo!!!
I though it was extended till the 17th.
-
Wish takes 100 hours of grind shards for one character. Its either 2.5€'s for 2 characters or 200 hours of your time. Not to mention that in order to use that killer properly you need to spend more money on other killers that you don't want.
And on top of that, you will need to farm bloodpoints to unlock those perks. Grind, after grind, after grind. For people starting out the game its just frustrating. They won't see a dime from me on skins or battle passes that's for sure.
-
Aright. Gotcha. Thanks for the help.
-
The black circles are obstacles. If i go around without breaking the pallet he will just vault the pallet endlessly. The question is if i should break the pallet or do anything else.
-
@DudeDelicious In this kind of loop. The pallet its dropped. I have bottles in both sides of the pallet (on me and on survivor). I need to break the pallet right? Cause if i go around they just play the pallet over and over.
@Clown I won't. But after 100 hours plus a ton of DLC's just to set up freddy properly its really tilting me.
-
"I think for the most part it might be your perks (it's hard to tell since you aren't showing them) and current addons being relatively limited, since you seem new to the game. Trust me, it gets loads easier once you actually get your hands on some good stuff. Until then don't worry about it too much, just be proud of the things that you learn along the way and the victories you can get while learning."
@Huff The perks are in the picture. Bamboozled, pop, save the best for last and b&q. I should run Infectious Fright instead of b&q, but that's what i got. About the addons... i'm not gonna waste more bloodpoints on clown then the ones needed for the perks. I just want to burn through those cakes and focus on freddy.

Hi, resident Clown expert here.
What are the actual problems you are encountering?
Clown isn’t weak, he’s just very hard because of how you constantly need to be thinking quick throughout the entire match and needing to strategise during every single chase.
When you know what you’re doing with Clown it’s entirely possible and feasible to down healthy survivors in about 16 seconds WITHOUT pinky finger.
Hitting survivors with the bottles. Using bottles to cut down chases. Is there a way to use bottles to avoid breaking pallets or do i need to break the pallets anyway? I mean, i put 2 bottles in each side of the pallet and i still feel like i need to break the pallet. Is am i right?

Or just... don't play by the imaginary rule book? Play more hours into a Killer until you get good
No. I don't like to be camped when i play survivor. I won't camp other people for a win.
