  • i really don't understand why people think NOED is OP and game breaking it one of the weakest killer perks in the game survivors make it strong by not leaving when exit gates are open they have to get that save often times thats where a player gets more kills with NOED instead of 1k they get 3-4k.

It's op because it has literally no counter and takes no skill to use. And don't say "bait it out", you can't bait out a Dead Hard for distance.

Dead hard really only gets distance to a window or pallet even if they use it to get to a window or pallet you can still pick up the chase if it were lithe or SB hang it up you wasted your time.

    Title.

What if dead hard prevented you from dropping/vaulting a pallet or vaulting a window for 3 - 5 seconds after you used it?

I remember seeing this suggestion somewhere in a dead hard thread, and thought it was a good idea.

Current dead hard is pretty strong but horribly unfair as it has no counters WHEN USED FOR DISTANCE and it just removes a survivor mistake in a loop. A time where you would've caught someone you now don't because the survivor dead harded to a pallet.

This would promote using it in a way that requires lots of forward thinking (such as dead harding super early) or to avoid a hit where this change will have little impact.

Other than that I think it would be in a fine position. Maybe also remove the ability to dead hard over traps along with it but keep the partial invincibility. If these changes made it too weak it could have it's exhaustion timer reduced to 30 seconds.

I didn't wanna do another nerf dead hard thread, but this idea seemed pretty good so I wanted to see others opinions on it.

What if we just leave DH alone and fix real issues

Ok so you can't counter it then. Dead harding to a pallet after you've made a mistake has no counter.

I can tell you are never going to change your mind on DH i main killer look me up on steam same name i have never had an issue with dead hard i'm still able to chase and down a DH user someone who Knows how to use Sprint Burst or Lithe most of the time i just have to let them go and wasted some time chasing them in the first place.

  • you don't always counter its an exhaustion perk designed to give a survivor a chance to get away it goes on a cooldown at that point use it to your advantage

why are you bringing up the killer? They have no say when it comes to using this perk since the problem is the distance.

Survivors have no say when it comes to killers using perks i don't get the point your trying to make but if its about DH distance you get more distance out of any other exhaustion perk.

Ok, how do you counter a survivor dead harding to a pallet as an M1 killer?

same way you would counter it if they had sprint burst or lithe to a pallet or any other exhaustion perk. At that point i try and force them to drop it and then i break pallet so its not there later.

  • Depends on the type of SWF if you think its a SWF before the match starts make sure to use Corrupt Intervention if more than 1 flashlight use Lightborn if a key is in play i hate to say it but depends on how well they are doing you might have to tunnel. Not sure how many hours you have but if you get good at mind gaming through loops and end chases quickly this is what going to help you more than anything.

  • @Leachy_Jr said:

You do realise people are complaining about dead hard because it's unfair right?

Sorry you think that "E to undo mistake" is fine for the game.

Other exhaustion perks while annoying do not come even close to how unfair and frustrating dead hard is to verse.

DH is the easiest exhaustion perk to play around once you know a survivor has it it can no longer be used to dodge an M1 i'd say sprint burst is the most annoying if a survivor knows how to use SB theres no chasing them when its up you just have to let them go most of the time. Sorry but i feel like the same people who complain about DH are the same type of people who complain about 360.

  • @Adeloo said:

Thing is as a 50/50 player, i don't even think Dead Hard is an OP perk.

I don't use it, but how many times i saw people on stream being exhausted on the ground, making it a high risk/high reward perk since you don't even know if the perk will work correctly !

That + the fact that killers have memory and once a survivor use it they can bait it (except me i have the memory of a goldfish)

This right here DH doesn't need a nerf it just needs to be fixed to be more reliable once a killer knows a survivor has it they can no longer dodge a hit with it.

  • They should just tie obsession to more perks like exhaustion perks and BT and on killer side like aura perks and tracking perks like whispers

  • For wraith i run corrupt intervention, Whispers, make your choice or PoP, and BBQ

Addons run all seeing and windstorm purple or green

i find using this build is good for getting an early start which is important for all killers but even more so for killers on the weaker side

Largely yes, but also no. A good Killer can herd the Survivors and affect which Generators they do and to a degree the order. Bad Killers will pick three Generators early and try to defend them, giving up pressure on the rest of the map. This is not a good strategy. However, making note of your Generators and where they are being worked, you can herd your chases and affect selection in a subtle way while still keeping up pressure. Survivors takes the path of least resistance. It is their nature. Thus, you can still get that 3-Gen just by chasing them and simply not pursuing them towards Generators you rather they do first.

No i get what you mean by Herding but good survivors know how to break gens up early bad survivors don't. Good Killers with try to keep pressure on the 3 gens they want to keep but in the end its up to survivors to break them up.

Survivors have control on what gens get done and when even if a killer is herding them away he can only commit to one chase at a time. 3 gens happen because all 4 survivor jump on the first gen they see and just start popping them

  • 3 Gen camp? 3 gen is not up to the killer survivors do that to themselves

When I face someone with object in happy because I have free aura information all the time

You haven't experienced the true power of Object then. When used correctly it can be a nightmare for killer.

Everyone knows keys are getting nerfed next, so since yesterday I've been having nothing but these on every lobby, and they ALWAYS change it on the last second of lobby.

I wish I could do more meme builds, but honestly I'll just stick to playing Infectious Fright Nurse and Oni until keys are balanced.

Btw why people think Franklin's counter keys? It's so easy to hide the key until you need to use it.

Because with Franklins you can see the aura of items on the ground and they will decay

    Is doing totems an objective?

Last time I heard, you did not need to do totems to win the match.

By your logic, there is no counter to hex totems.

Just admit that you want a free tunneling pass. No need to be ashamed.

Yes totems are side objective for survivors

Killers want DS to be reworked as a anti tunneling Perk and not a 1 min god mode Perk that it is now

  • Keys are bad when another survivor is running a map item and its SWF there is no skill required they are just as bad as mori's both need reowrk. Solo survivor and keys are ok tho i understand this.

It's small... like almost facecamping small

Also I think Myers TR in T1 is 6m... Going off of the in game TR (which is basically undetectable... also why he has it in T1)

Myers in T1 is now 0 they changed it awhile back also Monitor and Abuse with dead rabbit is kinda overkill 2m that it reduces it by isn't really worth running i would save the dead rabbit for builds you use without Monitor and Abuse

  • I like Bond better i play solo so i find it more useful

  • Wraith is pretty good with his add ons now i run whispers MYC pop and BBQ the 2 add ons i use most are all seeing and windstorm you can trade out BBQ for corrupt intervention

  • @CalamityJane said:

Recently, Wraith. I've played against a few different Wraiths in the last week or so, and noticed multiple times that they're a fair distance from me, and the full swing animation and noise plays out THEN I get damaged. Never noticed it before but all of a sudden it's happening and only with Wraiths.

Wraith use to be able to do a very long lunge much like Myers you were able to uncloak and with the right timing you can lunge just as far if not further than MM in T3 not sure if it can still be done or not haven't tried it with him in forever

Tried some shackles. Thanks for the suggestion. Hilarious.

Np lol Hag has a lot of really cool builds she can be pretty flexible too with perks if you know how to play her right. Keep in mind when using shackles that you lose the ability to set up her chase traps which can pull the survivors camera angle and force them to run into walls and other objects that can lead to a free hit.

  • I really miss running this perk :( it needs a small update to make it a little more viable.

I think a good buff would be if survivor triggers the crows they follow that players for x seconds much like afk crows but it could be a bit OP Calm spirit can still counter it.

  • @999 said:

Does anyone else get annoyed by the traps? I'm a grown man and I literally jump out of my chair every single time LOL

Know what is really scary ? Shackle hag you have no clue you popped the trap until she teleports to it i get so many jump scares out of shackles

This has been a long-standing thing for years. Using a controller and using a mouse & keyboard are completely different skill-sets.

One thing that I would like to see these PC elitists do is actually pick up a controller, plug it into their PC's and see how well THEY do.

I've been playing console for 18 years, and I've never seen so much prejudice towards console users. I mean, we're all gamers and we have enough sh*t to deal with externally. I don't see why we now need to divide OURSELVES further.

PC players use controllers all the time and yes they are completely different skill sets if you want the most out of DBD you should use a mouse and keyboard you'll make less mistakes. Frames are game changing and from what i hear console are getting 30-60 frames and sometimes lower than 30 where as PC players can get 80-120 possibly more. I don't think console players are all turds who don't know how to play the game but when matched against PC players they are at a disadvantage.

  • Dead Hard is fine its my favorite exhaustion perk when i play survivor if you use it to only dodge killer M1 then you are using it wrong

Consolers: Lock it at 60fps? There's a number above 30????? We cannot consistently get even that...

I know but most PC players will opt out if FPS was any lower than that i think BHVR will sort out the console FPS issues i'm pretty sure they are aware of it.

  • While you have some people who are PC master race forever most PC players love the idea of cross platform i know i do cause i have plenty of console friends but here is the issue with console FPS and controls puts them at a really big disadvantage i think BHVR will get this sorted out eventually. I also think they should lock the FPS to 60 for PC players for those who opt in for crossplay.

  • Yup huntress still has counter play unlike a nurse but you will have games like that.

  • @Gylfie said:

Please for the love of god give us crossplay, we've been asking for it for so long. :(

Day two of crossplay: "Stop Cross Play"

Yeah we all talked about it long before it was here and why it wouldn't be good for console I hope console players stay they just need to help console killers in some way.

  • PC hackers are in game yes but after 4 years and 1800 hours I can count the number of hackers in my games on one hand. The problem is you are at a disadvantage being on console PC has better controls, fps, and experience most have had the game longer give it time I think survivor on console will be ok but killer is going to be a terrible experience.

    It

  • No problem Stabs i'm glad it help from what i learned in all of my 1800 hours is that huntress is by far the hardest killer to master even more so than nurse no matter how good you are with huntress she still has counter play. Also to add CoconutRTS has some pretty nice builds for huntress you'll see you uses one most of the time but he does have an exhaustion build he uses Begrimed Heads and the Blood Echo perk it makes for some pretty good plays. Keep in mind good survivors are hit and miss in high ranks but to answer your question more than half his matches when i watch him he is vs Good survivors or SWF. Watching him play and asking him question has improve my huntress game a lot if theres anything you want to know hop in his stream and ask him he is more than willing to help.

  • CoconutRTS is a great huntress his stream is small enough so he can answer all your questions here is a short video on his youtube channel its a very short huntress guide.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OIsEGInpfLE

  • Peanits is a decent Huntress player he streams from time to time

  • Why on Earth would they ever consider nerfing huntress Peantis plays huntress often so i doubt she'll get nerfed she also takes more skill than nurse to play because no matter how many hours you have on huntress there is still counter play unlike nurse
