Everything is potentially "abusable" in SWF. That's not really a reason to destroy everything. There are only so many high-performing 4mans out there. I'll never understand why it's called abusive when survivors optimize something but it's strategy when killers hard tunnel at 5 gens.
And it's really not a side grade even if that's what they called it. You used to just sit on a gen and get instantly rewarded for someone else getting hooked. You now have to get off your gen and perform an action to get the reward, which gives it the Deli problem of getting to the hook first to get value. I've seen almost no one run it since the rework. Even before the buff I did at least see it here and there. Now it's gone.
The fact that Cross Examination actually did something isn't a reason to nerf it. I didn't try it but I did play against it quite a bit and it was a non issue for me, even in indoor maps playing a 4.4.
Everything is potentially abusable by Nurse too, but killers can't have strong perks because they would be OP on her. Only difference is that there's at least a 2 man SWF in 50% of games, vs a 3% nurse pick rate. DBD is incredibly challenging to balance.

The matchmaking prioritizes wait time, ping, and fairness in that order. If a high MMR SWF has been waiting for a long time, it will serve up any killer, and you just drew the short straw.

Seems that you don't like the strong chase killers. How would you go about buffing weaker killers without giving them a stronger chase ability? Keep in mind that every survivor hates longer gen times. Seems to me the only way to do that is map mobility but you don't like Jason or Oni and mobility is their main strength.

SWF should not be in this game, or should be it's own special mode. The game is impossible to balance when SWF allows for communication, and no one is happy. You buff solo to a 50% escape rate, and SWF is unstoppable. You nerf SWF and it's almost impossible for solos to win. Killer bounces between wrecking survivors and getting wrecked.

A second chance perk to me has always been an on demand perk that can erase a mistake. Dead Hard for example, you could/can hold on to it, be extra aggressive, and when you're lost the chase E key your way to safety. DS was another one, it used to be 60 seconds of god mode. NOED and Rancor are the killer versions, it allows you to play poorly, then secure a kill at the end.

when have killers ever been critiqued for "slide forehead against a wall" what does that even mean
Probably Blight's hug tech.

The team wide instant heals. I can deal with anything they can throw at me, but not that.

The sheer fact Jason can skewer you into an invisible wall and block the exit is broken af.
All this event has done is make killers be more sweaty; slugging all the time and choosing killers that negate morsal powers. And BTW the invulnerability "buff" doesn't work at all. Never once has it negated any damage.Survivors use every advantage, which there are a ton of right now, which makes killer feel bad, so killer brings the thunder, which makes survivors feel bad. I played a non sweaty Demogorgon against a 4 man SWF and it was impossible, 15 minutes in, I had two hooks and about 45 hits, was just a slog and I afked.

They just got a massive IP that makes everyone want to play killer. On top of that, the game isn't survivor sided, it's SWF sided. Even with all of the anniversary buffs, I can beat solos pretty easily, but I can't beat a SWF.
